Smoke smell on the family room, they mentioned that they will change our room the day after we came, the sent some clean lady to spray something the reduce the smell, they returned to us only after 3 nights when it was not relevant,
During morning swimming again some service guy stopped me and asked me to leave as the pool is not open, of course no such sign told that,
The view from the room was amazing to the beach, the breakfast was good as well.

Extremely family friendly hotel, tons of kids who just didn't seem to tire out despite the kids world, pool and beach. Entertainment all day long, from yoga to pool aerobics to bands.
Staff was out power washing pool deck nightly, and scrubbing outdoor restaurant floor every morning.
Best breakfast buffet in Europe. Didn't eat at the hotel in the evenings as options abound down the boardwark which runs right in front of hotel.
Take the short walk to the point for sunset, its spectacular!

Didn’t get an excellent rating due to the fact that this was suppose to be a 5 Star Resort. Didn’t even offer complimentary coffee in the room. Charged 2 Euros each. Didn’t appreciate the nickel and dime mentality.

Upon arrival, I was given a room of lower quality than what I had booked and paid for. Only after insisting was I moved to a premium room as originally reserved.

Unfortunately, the new room had a persistent drainage problem in the shower. Although a technician was sent, the issue was not resolved, and I had to spend four nights with a flooded shower. Multiple complaints to the front desk were ignored.

I expect a formal response and appropriate compensation for the inconvenience.

Though it is not a new hotel, yet they are managing to keep uo the stars. Reception are very helpful and accomodating to specific requests. Housekeeping staff as well, very responsive. Just be aware when crowded especially on specific holidays, can get a little bit noisy in some of the common facilities.

Excellent hotel with professional and courteous staff.
The breakfast is excellent and the hotel restaurant on the beach is also very good but expensive.
It is jarring to distinguish from other hotels in the world. This hotel requires that every cup of coffee be prepared in the room for a very expensive fee, which is a shame.

Wonderful resort great location great rooms

We chose this hotel because it offered Expedia Gold perks and we were longing to relax, do some swimming after a lot of cultural tourism.
It was perfect for what we wanted!
Outdoor pools were too chilly in April but the indoor pools were perfect. A medium sized pool is reserved for adults. The huge pool overlooking the sea is for everyone. We used both - there were almost no children while we were there so it didn't matter.
There are also three types of saunas and great showers next to the medium pool that look out towards the gardens & sea. Wonderful. (Bathrobes & slippers are provided in the rooms. Pool/beach towels are provided at the Spa reception.)
This is a huge facility: three outdoor pools, two indoor pools, three saunas, spa facilities, several restaurants.
Breakfast buffet was wonderfully varied: eggs made as you like to order but really spoiled for choice. Coffee / tea machines but also made to order available at the espresso station.
Requesting the Exp Gold upgrade, given a fab room overlooking the sea with exceptional bedding, big deck & big bathroom w/soaker tub. Also brought a bottle of wine!
Walked the beautiful coast going south for 40 minutes.
AND discovered Google Maps doesn't know there's a seafront walk that starts near the Aquaworld & Iberostar resort which takes 40 min via a beautiful path along the sea (Google Maps tries to lead you along the highway!)
Outstanding choice. Easy 8 Euro cab from bus station to resort or back. Def would stay again!

Я уже много раз отдыхала в Splendid, люблю этот отель за SPA, Казино и вкусный завтрак. В этот раз немного огорчило то, что в SPA начали все убирать за пол часа до закрытия, стало некомфортно плавать в бассейне в то время как к нему двигают лежаки. И даже лежак с моим халатом и телефоном куда-то укатили. Мне кажется, что если SPA работает до 21 часа, то это значит, что нужно гостям уйти в 21, а не то, что персонал уже все уберет и освободится в 21.

The pool and beach areas were lovely, clean and well-kept. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice balcony and a beautiful view.
There were several dining options but breakfast was a bit chaotic and there was no table service. We were not very impressed with the off-site restaurant recommendation from the concierge.

Excellent stay. Lots of families, kids had a blast. Staff was amazing. Kids Club was a huge hit and a wonderful surprise. Staff was full of energy and always smiles, fun curriculum and program for all ages. Kids 3 and older could be left at the club while parents do their thing, we kept our guy, but he was eager to always go and hang out with friends there so I am sure he wouldn’t minded if we left him for a few hours one day. Hi Food at the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was brilliant, and we tried hotel buffet for dinner which again was above expectations and wonderful experience. Not sure if consistently different but we went on 2 different nights and food options were different. Staff was amazing, and hostess Jelena went above and beyond to help with our kids. Both nights great and a ton of options for everyone. Pool bar and beach bar were great, and staff was brilliant at both. Promenade restaurant looked great, but we ran out of time as we also tried a couple of great restaurants next to the hotel on the beach. As well great options, right there.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Great one night stay for our family. It was March so outdoor amenities were closed but we loved the indoor pool. The room was clean and spacious, with a pull out couch for our son. The beds were extremely comfortable and even though our room didn’t face directly onto the sea, we could hear the waves from our balcony. Wish we would have had more than one night!

We spent 6 days here and had such a great time and lounged around at the beach and the poolside. Rooms are stylishly decorated and cleaned every day, very comfortable bed. Breakfast was fantastic - excellent choice of food and the staff is also very kind and helpful. Definitly will come back again.

The hotel and hotel staff was nice and well organized. Overall I had a hard time justifying the cost of the view versus the cost of goods; drinks, launder service, casino, etc. Simple economics of supply and demand do not govern the hotel's decisions - I think it is poorly managed (upper management). If you have 10-15 free dealers standing around upstairs in the casino with only 1 table of 25 minimum in play why wouldn't you lower the minimums to play? We would have sat down to play for less - ended up going to another casino just to go play and yes, they were 10 EURO minimums. Bars and pool side nobody is drinking (except a few drinks ourselves) - again highly over priced drinks and goods. People like ourselves who can afford these drinks simply choose not to because the entire business model of this place is broken - unless you're intentions are of creating a false personal of exclusivity for snobby travels. Views were amazing but would not stay here again due to complaints mentioned above.

Hotel lives up to its name - very splendid indeed. One of the finest swimming pools anywhere with a gorgeous (Adriatic) beach and plenty of activities / dining near by. Live music by the poolside was a nice touch and the talent was diverse. Food service was usually fairly slow, but it was reliable given enough patience. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, and modern with nice views. Breakfast buffet was quite outstanding and deservedly popular, though selection of fresh fruit could certainly be improved. Very popular with families and children - unsurprisingly so.

The hotel is OK. VERY overpriced.

Drain clogged in shower. Had to ask 3 times over 8 hours to get cot in room. No beach chairs available. Worse thing the did is sneakily put $67 single glass bottle of champagne in mini bar along with $10 items to trick customer. They tricked me. I'll never go back and they got this review. Hope the $67 was worth it to them. Definitely not worth it to me. Won't be back. Much better local places to go.

Fantastic place for a mini-holiday with kids, even in the dead of winter! Friendly staff, indoor poolS that are beautiful 30C, late check out ok, delicious breakfast, gorgeously laid-out, not overpriced for what you get and an amazing location. Really, our first truly impressive hotel experience in Montenegro so far. Only thing is watch the map Expedia uses as it shows the wrong hotel.

Enjoyed a beautiful hotel, friendly helpful staff greeted us on arrival. we enjoyed the pool area and the entertainment each evening. We explored Budva which can be reached by Taxi or a good walk where
there are restaurants and bars. We had trips out which took us round the coast by boat to other towns which hold great history being told by the guide. The hotel was attached to the beach and the staff there were very attentive.. We were looking forward to a sandy beach ...but the beach is of stones and shingle!
Our room overlooked the pool and the sea which was a wonderful panoramic view, could hear the waves on the shore. We did find smoking being allowed rather a shock! and also no complimentary tea and water in the rooms was rather disappointing.
We found the staff very friendly but never overbearing.
Montenegro is a beautiful country with the mountains as a backdrop quite lovely. We toured the 'Old Cities' with great fascination.

Not so splendid.

Stayed here for four nights, the staff is very unpleasant and combative. Our room was only cleaned once during our stay and even then they didnt change the sheets nor given us new towels. This hotelvis definitely not 5* . Their food was hit or miss but stay away from thier class C chicken (if it is chicken.) I wont be staying here again thats for sure. The only nice thing is their beach and pool.

Absurd and ridiculous hotel policies

Guests can't procure and bring their own water or groceries (like your desired brand of coffee or te or juice), they force you to buy them from hotel at ridiculous prices and obviously they can't supply the same variety of items as a well assorted market, ice is only available trough room service at 5 euros each time; the exaggerate amount of light switches are ridiculously complicated.

Great place to spend some leasurely time

We spent a week here and had such a great time and lounged around at the beach and the poolside.

Rooms stylishly decorated cleaned every day, very comfortable bed, nice views from the windows. Breakfast was fantastic - excellent choice of food and the staff is also very helpful. We enjoyed the Spa center with and had free access to the SPA center and we loved it. Would definitely stay there again, really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed for a conference. Stunning location (tip - get a sea view). Hotel and Spa facilities very good. Food ok. Quite a distance from Podgorica airport (€50 taxi, around 1 hour). Staff very helpful with excellent English spoken.

The only 5 star hotel in a 3 star environment

Probably the only place to stay if you've resolved on staying in Becici. Good service, clean, private beach. The value for money is low mainly because of the poor infrastructure around. The hotel itself takes advantage of its only 5 start status and makes guests pay for any extras you'll find for free in the other 5 star places. There is no water, no tea, no iron in your room and you'll have to pay dearly for that.

Montenegro is a lot less developed than croatia so don't go expecting international 5 star, having said that I can't fault the hotel in any way - good location, clean comfortable rooms, good service.Its useful to have a car to get around and the valet service is good at the hotel. 2 minute drive to budva, not far from sveti stephen and other coastal towns/villages.

Very expensive and unfriendly

No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. All food and beverages ordered in the hotel were exceptionally expensive and added to that - the hotel has a "policy" that guests may not bring any food or drinks purchased elsewhere into the hotel!
Hotel staff were very dour - there were no friendly smiles from reception staff, waiters or pool attendants. The only friendly staff were the concierge.
