Wonderful host and great service. Rooms could have had a full length mirror & perhaps a small chest of drawers but other than that fine. Fantastic location. Owner was lovely! Would recommend :)

This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The room was dirty, there was no air conditioning—just one fan—and barely any airflow. Both my friend and I felt sick from the heat and poor air quality and had to visit a doctor during our trip.
I also woke up with bites on my legs and noticed black dots on the bed, possibly bed bugs. The room was never cleaned, and when we asked for soap, the owner told us to just “keep using the same one.” The bathroom light didn’t work properly, and the water in the shower was dangerously hot.
The space was tiny and unsafe. At one point, the curtain rod even fell on my head. Worst of all, we were locked out of the building multiple times at night because the entrance key didn’t work—and the owner ignored our calls. He later told us not to call at night because he was sleeping. As two women traveling alone, we felt incredibly unsafe.
There was also a dog in the lobby, even though I explained I have a dog allergy. When we asked for basic items like towels, we were met with rudeness and attitude.
I contacted Expedia and requested a refund, but the owner refused.
I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It was nothing like what was advertised, and it should not be listed on Expedia.

This is without a doubt the worst hotel I have stayed in. The man at check in was friendly and that’s the ONLY positive experience. To even call it a hotel is a stretch, more of a backpackers hostel.
The room was unhygienic and dirty, I had to look under the bed for something and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for weeks…..dust, dirty tissues and sand. There are the squashed bodies of mosquitoes all over the walls and curtains and a generally very run down appearance.
The shower was broken and dirty, the room was extremely hot and only a decrepit fan was provided which was also filthy.
The bed was basic and uncomfortable with polyester sheets and the pillow inserts were so well used they were flat and such a worrying yellow and stained colour I had to wrap a towel around them before putting my head anywhere near.
I was so uncomfortable, hot and unhappy here that after trying to sleep in the heat with mosquitoes buzzing around me for a few hours I gave up and left the hotel at 6am annoyed and exhausted.
I would only recommend this place to someone I really don’t like and even then I’d feel bad about it.

Cannes Charm at Chanteclair
The Chanteclair must be unique. It sort of grows on you. The owner, Pacal, is charming. He makes his \"zero star\" rating a sales point. So, you have everything you need. It's clean, comfy, homely. Room 14 is quite small however the ensuite WC and shower is modern and more than adequate.Location..location..location: the Chanteclair nails it. The harbour/bus station and heavenly St. Antoine bakery plus the lively Cafe des Halles - very local patronage - are five minutes away on foot, yet the hotel is set in its own courtyard, away from any street noise, not that there's much of that. You meet Adam, Pascal's 3 month old French Bulldog. Even canine skeptics will be charmed by all this. We would stay here again, no sweat. Sadly, system would not let me add photos, including of the little dog, Adam.

Walkable from station and super close to all the sights of Cannes. Simple and basic but all I needed. Bed comfy. Excellent value for money considering location. Had a lovely courtyard though I didn’t get to use it as I was staying just one night. Check-in closes quite early at 8pm so make sure you contact if you’ll be late. Friendly and welcoming. Would certainly stay again if I visit Cannes.

Small budget hotel with Approx 12 rooms. If yr a light sleeper give this place a miss !! Every night you will hear the front door close, footsteps along the corridor, and keys rattling in an attempt by guests trying to open their respective doors. My stay was actually ruined no fault of the hotel, by inconsiderate inebriated patrons nightly returning to the hotel, slamming doors, and screaming loudly at each other 😠 Due to the size of the hotel, it was impossible to sleep thru these disturbances. As for my room, it was extremely small and basic, but nevertheless clean. The courtyard lacks in appeal, as it needs a good clean, and the stacked car tyres moving. All in all, not a good stay, but possibly no more than I should have expected when paying approximately £50 per nt to stay in Cannes.

This property resembles a small European family pension at the doorsteps of the old Cannes Suquet, with a convenient parking next to it. Hard to beat pricewise and for the cachet. Mr. Flemming is a very distinguished host, and no concierge can replace the look of Oscar welcoming you at the door. :-)

it was a good experience, the website says check-in by 5pm but i arrived at 4pm and the owner received us, very friendly, calm hotel, with a friendly pet, very clean hotel, with a fast wi-fi, we had to check out by 10 am but the owner left us until 2pm because we had a bus to catch by 4pm and it was very cold so he left us stay until we had to go.

You pay what you get for. Even tho this property, like most in Cannes are EXTREMELY overpriced. Was there for the festival, there was no other place close to the festival and this popped up on my orbitz listings. Its nice, quaint, very French. Room is tiny, and shower is even tinier. Im 220 pounds and had problems going in and out of the shower. The hallways had a musk smell to it. This is pretty much a hostel. Would I stay here again, if there was no were else economical to stay close to the festival maybe. Otherwise, everything else was just OK.

The location is AMAZING. You definitely want to stay somewhere around here when you are in Cannes but this hotel I would not return to. The pictures are all deceiving. I only booked for one night thank goodness and it was my fault that I didn't notice that you don't have your own toilet in your room. But for the price not at all worth this. The nice pic of the courtyard is a demonstration of a talented photographer as when you arrive it is grungy and dim. The room has a shower in it shoved up against on the beds and I felt like I was just waiting for bugs to come out of somewhere.
The manager is actually really nice but the property is horrendous. Again, epic location but this place needs either a torch and a flame or some serious renovations. The angle of the bedroom pics is taken to not demonstrate how small they are. I did stay in an economy one but still very disappointed. If you want something for a similar price but no feeling of bugs waiting outside.. go to Little Palace Hotel right near Gare De Cannes.

Perfect location for affordable hotel.
This hotel was located just a few minutes from great restaurants and only a few minutes from the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside was the floor in my room was really dirty. I had to keep shoes on. It was very cheap though considering what a fabulous location.

This very nice small cozy place in the old city of Cannes, very close to great restaurants. The owners take good care of their hotel and they were very helpful. The adorable Oscar is also must see for people who like dogs.

Great place to stay. Right near Le Suquet (old town). Lively neighborhood right near by but the hotel itself was very quiet and calm.The owner has a little french bulldog named Oscar and he is adorable. The room has a shared toilets but you have your own shower and lavatory in your room. It's not a bad set up at all considering the price range.

Hotel is in the centre of the old town and very close to the promenade. Felt very safe, room was small but we were only there for 1 night. Only issue we had was very noisy neighbours, no fault of the hotel of course. The man at reception was friendly and we could store our bags once we had checked-out. The times at which the reception is manned is quite inconvenient however, 5pm is late to check-in. Overall though, a pleasant stay and would recommend.

Very friendly hotel in the old part of Cannes, a stone's throw from the beaches and restaurants. Good value breakfast in the beautiful tranquil courtyard. Owner couldn't make you feel more welcome. Modest/ functional facilities - all you need really. In the non-flashy part of Cannes - what a relief!

The room was extremely small but in the middle of all the restaurants that you could want. Though not near any noise at all. The hotel is run by a really nice man who can not do enough for you. The breakfast was so fresh. The room very clean and the bed was so comfortable. All in all a very good hotel for very little money. The only problem was the toilet was not in our room as the description said. Wasn't a problem though as it was just down the corridor.

Very nice place. The lights are on motion sensors, so taking a shower was a bit of a challenge in the tiny bathroom. Perfect for simply crashing for the night, it is within a 15 minute walk from the beach and the train.

Das Hotel liegt in einem ruhigen geschützten Innenhof. Der Chef ist sehr freundlich und steht für Fragen zur Verfügung, ganz oft auch außerhalb der angegebenen Zeiten. Man kann von fast ganz Cannes zu Fuß erreichen, die Innenstadt durchquert man in rund 20 min. Bei normalem Gehen. Das Zimmer war klein aber praktisch, es war frisch renoviert und das integrierte Bad sah sehr neu aus.
