Room and building did not look like photos. Absolutely filthy, with insects, dirt and mould. Unmade beds, dim light, barley functioning sink or shower/toilet, no toilet paper or soap and smelled like urine and alcohol. Went to reception to complain, and the staff laughed in our face and tried to say they gave us the “wrong room key.” That is incorrect as the blonde girl that checked us in looked at her list and checked me off the list next to the room number. We Asked for a refund and they told us no and that we need to go and look at the correct room. We were very angry and upset and did not look at the so called “correct room.” as we know the older brunette woman was making up the fact that they gave us the wrong room, as if that was the case she would have double checked before the young blonde girl gave us the room key. She was there when we were handed the key initially. Other reviews also complain about the terrible accommodation and service.

The concept of cottage homes were really nice but the amenities were not there. Basic Internet (wifi) was not working. Hot water was not coming during shower. Cleanliness is not upto the mark. Bedsheets were not washed properly and stingy smell was reflecting. Overall I am not satisfied by this property and I won't recommend you. It's better to put more money and book a higher class hotel. Not a worthy one. Please avoid.

Ok given what it cost to stay there.

The Happy Village was ok considering how much it cost but I won't go back again. The bungalows are like glorified sheds and extremely cold at night. I also didn't like the fact they provided no towels in your room unless you paid to hire them.

Nothing like the photos. Place looks ran down and derelict. Was mould and cobwebs in both ‘economy’ (shed with a bed in it) and ‘deluxe’ (Shed with a bed, tv, fridge in it) as much as it was to just get our heads down there was no chance we was sleeping there. Both got bitten about 10 times in the space of the hour being there aswell.

The pools and area around the pool was wonderful. The shuttle service was very much needed and the driver was very friendly and helpful. This property is hard to get to without a car after 10 PM. The bungalows are located where it is hard to receive cell service and there is limited WIFI.

Out in the suburban countryside.

The staff was very king and helpful, they even provided special shuttle times for us at a very low cost. The bungalow's we stayed in were just that, a place to shower and sleep. Don't plan on doing too much more than breakfast in the kitchens as we did. Rooms were small but clean and you could be in downtown Rome from Prima Porta in about 35 minutes from leaving your room. Nighttime was quiet although if you sat still enough you could hear the busy downtown night life a few miles away.

This wasn't the best, but it was something we came to expect when booking our stay. We only stayed 1 night as we had travelled far to come to Rome our we just wanted to spend as less as possible on a 1 night stay. The cleanness was below standards, in that the shower room had strands of hair on the floor. Where our room was there was no access to WiFi and the Snack bar/deli seems to only open in the summer.

In a cabin on the Happy Village and Camping

Overall was a great place to see Rome from. The room was clean and tidy. They do not include towels in the room and charge €3 per person to hire them. If you want your room serviced it's €20. Internet is €2-3 per hour. The grounds are quiet and tidy. There is a restaurant which is of a high standard with very affordable meals. The service is of a very high standard across the park. All in all we enjoyed our stay in Rome!

it not a hotel but a camp site with bungalows.

having booked this place before reading the reviews, I became disturbed and wanted to change my booking after reading the reviews But because it cannot be changed nor refunded I had to go ahead with it. Happy village is not a hotel. It is a camp site. where people can camp in caravans and tents . It has bungalows as well. it has an adult pool and the children pool too. It has a restaurant, small shop, washing machines and dryers. on arrival I was surprised with the place because I was expecting the worse. It is located far away from town but the shuttle bus made commuting easy and the driver of the mini bus very helpful.
The bungalow I stayed in was clean on arrival and sizable. They offer daily clean at the price of 20 Euro but free weekly cleaning which I was not happy with because they cleaners only changed the bedsheets , no proper cleaning which you expect after a whole week. They offer toiletries on arrival and no more. They offer WiFi one hour for 2 euro but we had problems with Internet connection when in the bungalow sometimes we have to go close to the reception to get Internet even after paying for it. The staffs are friendly. their pizzas are good. The television in my bungalow is the old box tv with only free channels in Italian language. there is air condition in the bungalow I stayed which was working very well. We enjoyed the pools. It is a very quiet area and nice but not a hotel.

Enjoyable little retreat from Rome centre

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights in July. Despite all the horrifying reviews on here, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were welcomed by friendly reception staff who pointed us straight to our 'cabin'. The room was clean and everything in working order. It was a tad small with not much light, however ideal for us as we only needed a place to sleep. A mini fridge was also provided which was ideal for storing drinks.

Up the hill is the restaurant, mini market and pool area. Restaurant food was pretty decent and the staff were polite yet slow and forgetful. The mini market was ideal - we bought water from here daily. It offers several beverages, some food for cooking & other home necessities like washing liquid and toilet rolls. The only downside to the pool was that it opened at 10am and closed at 7pm - meaning that you had to spend the day at camp in order to access the pool. However it was clean and enjoyable. Swimming hats are a must - you can buy these from the mini shop for around 3 euros - or bring your own.

Free shuttle service runs throughout the day (timetable is provided at reception) - this takes you from the hotel to the nearby Prima Porta station. The morning shuttle is ideal, however after 2pm the shuttles become less frequent and if you miss it, it's a long wait for the next one. The driver was cheerful and helpful, singing along with passengers and making the journey far more enjoyable.

Bring your own towels & toilet paper as these are not provided.

when we arrived we found we had been booked into a tin shed with two beds in. there were no cooking facilities with this room. it is advertised as a bungalow and when I booked through expedia they assured me there would be a kitchen. we changed our accommodation the next day and had to pay an extra 200pounds.
advertised on the sight is a supermarket at the gates. do not be fooled there isn't a supermarket. there is a tiny back room shop which has the very basic of stock.
there is a free shuttle to prima porta which is the train station that takes you into rome central. you have to keep your eye on the time though as you don't want to miss the last return shuttle. prima porta is a very rough area and not somewhere you would want to be stuck.
the swimming pool area is lovely and was generally quiet. there is a restaurant onsite and this is the only one around without taking the shuttle bus and going into rome.

on the sunday however when we stayed the owners had a private party going on. we were not made aware of this and had planned to spend all day at the pool. we were allowed in the pool while everyone was arriving and partying in there sunday bests. however when I went in to order some food for lunch from the only place available to us they said they would not be able to provide us with food as they have the private function going on. It would have been nice for them to have made the campers aware of this prior to the party we could have then made other plans.

Decided to stay outside of the city but not too far. Campground has a shuttle service to train station which is nearby. Plenty of trees, woke up to birds singing. Happy Village has a great restaurant and staff. Stayed in the budget room/cabin small but was clean and did have heating and private restroom. I would definitely stay there again. Just needed more time to further explore the area. Stayed two nights.

Horrible from the start. It's in the middle of nowhere with limited transport available, they offer a shuttle to make up for it ... But at the most inconvenient times! The shower leaked into the rest of the room, the wifi only works in some areas and once connected it took days to load anything. It was so terrible we booked for 4 nights and only stayed for 1!! Would not recommend to anyone.

Nice hotel but take care for its location

In general, the hotel is nice, it has amenites, tv, comfortable beds but it's so far from the Roma center, specially if you have to take bus, train or taxi when you arrive late to the city, in my special case I arrived to Ciampino Airport in Roma and from the airport to the hotel was complicated the transport.

Receptonist is very rude and cold room

Planning to extend few more days , finally cancel to stay Happy village campany.Due to suffer the rude attitude from night receptionist.
We checked in about 9:30pm .The receptionist behaved very rude and spoke to us so loud. She yell at us no wifi and no heater in the room when we asked her. She doesn't know English well. She doesn't show us where is the room direction. Let's find our room ourselves in the dark. She gave us the key in a hurry and bang the reception window loudly and left .We will not come back to stay there again .Very bad experience.Highly not recommed anyone stay this hotel except you enjoy to listen yelling.

Pleasant after a terrible experience at camp Jolly in Venice. Shuttle from station was free and driver was pleasant. However, directions to Prima Porta station to get shuttle bus was poor as no one at Rome Termini could help us.Reception at camp was good. We were preapred for things not included in stay - no towels, toilet paper and having to wear swimming caps, so we enjoyed our stay. Good to have a swim after a long, hot, sticky day in Rome city centre. A pity the pool didn't stay open for longer - at least till 8 or 8:30pm since it is summer time. The shop is poorly stocked so stock up before getting your shuttle back to camp. A fan and a little fridge in the room would've been welcoming.

arrived an hour early but was checked in straight away, camp staff willing to help at all times. room size was a bit small but the sheets were spotless on all beds. had adequate cooking facilities. air conditioning was a godsend was able to get room to under 16 to cool from the intensive heat from the sun. pool facilities were excellent, restaurant on site is good. dont expect the driver of the bus to take you out on a sunday as it's his only day off. there is a bus that will take you to the metro on a sunday a short walk from the camp. Bus to the nearest metro was always on time, driver was very helpful.

We stayed in the Tevere bungalows at Happy Village and Camping in Rome. The room was only just big enough for the two of us, but had an amazing amount of storage. The air conditioning worked fantastically and kept us lovely and cool!
The overall upkeep and cleanliness of the bungalow was not perfect, but adequate considering we were only sleeping and showering here. The lighting was awful, only three small spotlights in the main room. The bathroom/ shower was also quite dingey and the shower tap was very dirty, also the shower head didn't fit into it's holder so we had to hold it whilst showering (first world problems).
The restaurant was superb! The food was delicious and cheap. Could have had a bigger menu with a wider variety of options though.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and quick to solve any queries about travel or money etc.
The pools were very clean and the area surrounding was very tidy. Only problem was the pool was only open until 7pm and you had to wear a hair cap.
It is a little distance outside of Rome. About half an hour by metro then train for Termini Station, then there is a 15 minute shuttle bus off the train every hour or so. I enjoyed the travelling though, so it didn't bother me. Others may not enjoy doing that though. It's about 60 euros by taxi from Fiumicino Airport. Travel for a week in Rome is only 24 euros for the metro, train and bus though.
Overall the bungalow was worth the amount of money we spent on it, we enjoyed our stay :)

-One of our beds had dead ants on it when we returned for the day...reported it and they came to clean it THE NEXT DAY...and it continued to happen every night we were there

Referred to as a bungalow but it was a shed , there was no where to have a drink in the evening the swimming pools were green . The shuttle service was ok but still a long way out side of Rome. Was ok for a couple of nights but would of been very uncomfortable for any longer .

Great base for enjoying Rome. Room was basic but all you need. Could do with a kettle. Staff here are all friendly and helpful. The restaurant is excellent. There is a free bus which takes to nearest train and bus station, where there are trains into Rome every 10 mins at least. Journey takes about 10 mins in bus to station and around 20 mins on train to Rome.

Worst Night Of Our Lives

My friend and I decided to stay here for our spring break and it quickly became the worst experience of our lives. We were unable to reach the organization by phone and that resulted in us (two young girls) wandering around Prima Porta alone at 21:00 trying to find our way there since we couldn't ask when the shuttle was. Then when we finally made it there our room had bedbugs. While the maintenance man was kind enough to move us to a better room for the night, the organization proceeded to charge us for an upgrade (to a room that was honestly much nicer) so that we could have a room without bedbugs, which are completely unacceptable. The wifi also would not possibly work in the room they provided us, which is not what their website claims. We understand we chose a site that isn't a five star hotel and we weren't expecting anything fancy, we were however expecting to have a clean, safe room for the few nights we were there. We will never return to this place, and recommend that no one else does either.

We were very unhappy with this place.

We were here at the end of December and it was not good. When getting directions they hung up on us at least 3 times. The electricity was off 10 hours the first night, and the water was shut off in the morning. The heat was shut off in the day time. They gave us a schedule for their shuttle to public transportation. But the next day they had a new schedule with out telling anyone. If we had been depending on them when going to the airport, we would have missed our flight. After second day we had enough and went somewhere else. (Maybe summer conditions are better??)

Lovely, Comfortable and Just what we needed!

We arrived at the camping site a little earlier but as it was out of season there was no problem booking in. We were informed of everything we needed to know at the reception which was great. We had a lovely and peaceful stay for the 3 days we were there and were very grateful for all the help we had whilst there including the shuttle from the camping village to Prima Porta.

The shuttle bus is great just make sure you know the times before you arrive so your not waiting around for a long time as they keep to the timetable.

From reading previous reviews we didn't understand the annoyance with having to buy your own toilet roll, you;re provided with one and they have a shop onsite that sells it quite cheaply. People need to remember its a CAMPING SITE!

Our bed was lovely and our Tevere was very comfortable with all the amenities we needed. Our shower was amazing and really refreshing after some of our amazing days around Rome.

From Prima Porta it takes roughly 25mins to get to Flaminio where you can see the Piazza del Popolo, this was our main base for the three days but from Flaminio we would cross the road and go on the metro to Ottaviano. Te whole metro and train system is really easy to work out and it does translate to english and also tells you what is at every station; for example: Ottaviano (Museo Vaticani) / Baberini (Fontana di Trevi)

We had a lovely and peaceful time at Happy Camping. Thank you for having us.

Being country bumpkins our arrival in Rome during rush hour was a shock to the system to say the least. Arriving at our destination after being greeted by such a friendly \"happy\" bus driver and an equally gracious booking clerk we were well pleased with our accommodation. The room and shower/toilet were clean although in need of a bit of TLC (curtains could do with a wash/wall with a touch of paint/bathroom tiles and fittings with a clean up). A couple of extra pillows would not have gone amiss either. The TV was a bit of a disappointment and we ended up watching War Horse in Italian!! No international channels available. The room would hugely benefit if a kettle and cups etc. were made available to residents for that all necessary cup of coffee/tea first thing in the morning. Although a vending machine is available on site it is some distance from the bungalows and requires a walk where one is open to the elements. The staff at the onsite restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was good although we found a really nice place close to Prima Porta station that served lovely coffee and good food at very reasonable prices. The onsite shop/market was really poorly stocked and it was best to do whatever shopping was needed in Prima Porta itself. All in all we did enjoy our stay and would recommend the resort to people who are looking for a less hectic experience of Rome.

The room was ok. Bus service to and from the bus station ran at strange intervals so make sure to check the schedule they give you, but it's free. They say they will drop you off at the city center but it's really at a metro station close to the camp grounds. You must pay to rent towels and pay for wifi. The room was an ok size.

This park had mixed reviews about booking it but it turned out to be wonderful value. We were just looking for a place to spend the night so we booked an econo cabin. Nothing fancy but it was clean and had a private bathroom. We enjoyed the use of the pool and bar at end of a hot day in Rome. The shuttle runs to the Prima Porta train station 3 times every morning and evening. The driver went back to pick anyone who missed the shuttle due to it being too full. We never had any issues other than we would finish our days too early and need to wait until 530 for the first shuttle back. Not their fault, we just went and had a coffee at the bar next door. Otherwise it was a wonderful get away from the heat and busy streets of Rome.

the hotel is ok for what you pay. Make sure if you book it bring a towel and toilet paper because they will charge you for everything. Other than those problem the camping village is good. Hotel.com made my reservation over the phone and made a mistake in my son age and we all had to share a full size bed pretty disapointed at hotel.com because we told them our son was 10 therefore we were expecting a extra bed. But the hotel staff told us that because of the booking there was nothing they could do.... : ( not good.....

Happy Village is a great site for a visit to Rome,the site has good amenities the rooms/chalets are modern clean and comfortable (no kettle though ,so take your own) the staff are pleasant and helpful.The site is about 10mls out from Rome and takes two metro trips to get there.
Now the bad news not about the site but about Rome,every single piece of wall/building/bus stop is totally covered in graffiti,the metros are a real joy,ha ha.People living in shanty towns and under bridges all the way into the city,rubbish everywhere,the Italians realy need to clean up their act.The city itself is over run with totes trying to sell you scarfs/sunglasses and ridiculas objects on our trip to the Collosium we sat for ten minutes and were accosted by twenty seven of these,got realy fed up of it.Dont eat in Rome 10euros for a small bowl of refried chips and 14euros for two coffees,if you've got loads of money I don't suppose you will be bothered,however a small 24hr restaurant at Ponta Prida metro station near the camp site was a true joy,good Italian food ,excellent prices and very friendly people,restored our faith a little.The historical sites were very good,Collosium,Pantheon,Forum well worth a visit,the Trevi fountain beautiful but right in the middle of the shops seemed so out of place.Get a Rome bus pass for 34euros covers all your bus /train/metro travel for 3 days{not the transfer from airport to city though}get the Teravision bus is only 6euros.Open top tour bus good value .

found the staff to be friendly and helpfull the shuttle bus to the train station was very good and punctual.
the trains were basic but regular and cheap the trains back from Rome were often very crowded . watch out for the doors they slam shut .

So there's not a lot to say really. Terrible location, very average services provided by the staff, bartenders were nice but very little choice of spirits or even beer. Internet is ridiculously expensive, you feel like you're in the middle of no where! Shuttle services at inconvenient times. Some people think I'm being fussy maybe? Ive just been in africa for 3 months doing aid work, I know bad accomodation when I see it lol.

Pretty spot, but...

It is advertised as being 20 minutes from the center of Rome, but.... the shuttle they offer does not run often enough and the 20 minute commuter rail ride can be quite crowded and is not air-conditioned in the summer. With the shuttle ride the trip into Rome is closer to an hour... Additionally, everything is extra--- Maid service, internet, even toilet paper. However, the staff is very nice and tries hard to accomodate.

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

My husband and I are easily pleased but what the description of the hotel says is not at all true. You do not have a patio, you get a lawn chair in front of your run down little trailer \"bungalow\". You don't get a \"complimentary bottle of water\". The \"free movies\" you get are not movies they are two channels on a tiny tube TV, that barley come in focused. Don't expect to get any snacks out of your \"stocked mini bar\" because it is completely empty. I have a 1 year old baby that is always hungry, so its a good thing I brought her lots of food. I even asked the front desk about all that they advertise and they said that they don't know what information we get but they only have to supply the room. Even though I had the print out that had the advertisements and our confirmation. They offered to give us a bigger room that just had more beds we didn't need but they were going to charge us for it. After all of this they even tried to double charge us when we checked in! I would not recommend this place unless you are a single person with zero expectations.

Happy Village, Happy Times

Great rooms, clean and well fitted, huge double bed, mini-fridge, loads of storage space if you need it. The surroundings are truly stunning (it is pretty much in the country side).

I found with my room that it was by some sort of machinery/processing plant that ran literally throughout the whole night it was all I could hear. (Avoid Room 20 if you can).

It is pretty far from Fiumicino Airport and the centre of Rome but there is a free shuttle bus service to and from the camp, it takes you to Prima Porta station and from there you get the train straight to Flaminio and from there you can get a metro (tube/subway) train to Termini which is only 4 stops and very central. Overall from Happy Village to Termini the journey is approx an hour. The last shuttle back is at 9.30pm which means you will most likely have to stop your activities an hour prior in order to make it.

Staff were very helpful, there is always someone on the desk and they will call taxis, open internet room etc.

The Restaurant and pool at the top of the hill are also great, you can get coffee and pastries in the morning. Prices are good and there is also a little shop attached to the restaurant where you can by everything from toothpaste to italian sausage, beer to cotton swabs.

Really beautiful well-run place in a stunning location. If you like nature and a slower calmer pace you'll love Happy Village. If you want to be in the swing of things 24/7, staggering to your room drunk, this is not for you.

Happy Village is NOT Happy!

NOT a resort!
Rooms are cabins, hard beds, bad pillows, no hot water in shower. AC / heater didn't work very well. Bugs in rooms as door had crack in it.
After asking multiple times to have things fixed or moved to another cabin, nothing was done.
2nd pool is a kiddie pool, not another full pool.
Internet is flakey even after you pay to get it.
Room was not clean when we checked in, plus no service for a week.
Free shuttle is only to Prima Porta, NOT any main station in the city, ends at 9 pm for pick up.

So is the restaurant staff and everyone we had contact with. Can't wait to return to Rome so we can stay here again!

Happy Village

We stopped here for 1 night after flying into Rome and renting a car on our way to Siena. The room was incredibly clean, cute and well-maintained. We arrived late and didn't have a cell phone to call the attendant, but thankfully, some passers-by walking their dog called for us. We rented a little cabin and enjoyed it. The birds woke us up in the morning. We were there in mid-April so the pool was not yet filled with water, although looks like it could be nice in the summer. The restaurant looked recently renovated as well. There is a Happy Village bus that transports people daily to the metro line into Rome. Overall, we were very satisfied and would consider staying there again. I think it would be ideal if you had a family, wanted to visit Rome on a budget, and wanted to leave the chaos of Rome behind at night.

The Happiest Village i know!

Me and my other half chose Rome as our first holiday together, and our stay in Happy Village did not disappoint! Having not learnt the language before hand, finding the Village did prove a little difficult, but once we knew where it was it was it was just a metro ride away from anything! 1 Euro gets you 75 minutes travel on train/metro/bus around Rome, which we found to fit into our plans perfectly as 75 minutes can get you anywhere in Rome you need to be. The location of the Village was fantastic, as it's just out of the way of the centre of Rome for you to enjoy the peace and quiet, yet the facilities on site make it feel like a home from home, whether staying in a mobile caravan or a Tevere like we did. With a small market which caters to every day needs, to washing facilities and washing machines. The room had everything we needed, though understanding the language does help as the only English tv Channel was CNN. Although not part of the Village itself, the Morabeza restaurant on site sells fantastic food at low prices, and we found ourselves eating there every night. All in all i recommend Happy Village as an alternative to the city hotel experience, as i feel we received far more from this holiday than if we had stayed in one of our previous hotel choices. I give Happy Village, it's staff, it's location, and the whole holiday a 10/10.

Such a nice place and what lovely people!

What a fabulous place this is. Ok its a bit of a trek from Rome but it makes a real nice change to jump on a local train and mix with the locals, get a free lift back in the shuttle bus to the campsite and then while away the evening in the bar restaurant in the beautiful hills surrounding Rome. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble and the chalets were excellent. Overall I cannot recommend this highly enough, and its such good value. Its particularly great if you are driving and like me did not fancy driving into central Rome and its just off the outer circular so could not be easier to get to. Will definitely be coming again thanks

A Hotel Experience in a Campground

Happy Village is a very appropriate name. Located on a very isolated country road north of Rome, it's a combination of camper parking and very nice individual cabins. Owners/staff were extremely friendly and very helpful, the cabin was very comfortable, there was a free bus to the train station into Rome, and they had a nice restaurant with good food and a decent wait staff. Prices there were quite good as well. There was even multitude of songbirds chattering happily away outside our window at 6 AM!

One drawback is, there's no box at the office to leave your key if, as we did, you have to leave early (it was left in our room), and the exit gate doesn't officially open until 7:30AM, so we had to open and shut it ourselves; not a big deal.

All in all, we'd stay there again without hesitation.

Good, but out of the way.

The hotel was further from town that we expected and somewhat difficult to get to. We nearly missed the last shuttle from the train station because it doesn't run very late. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The price for internet was ridiculous and they charge you if you want toilet paper. The amenities were fine: The restaurant was good and reasonably priced and they have a pool and laundry. Our stay was very pleasant.

great place to stay, very convenient if you are driving a car, super helpful staff, friendly service they go above and beyond. The bungalows are sweet, the campsites are nice and the restaurant and pool are lovely.

Mariela is the reason this place is so wonderful. She is helpful with EVERYTHING and has the patience of a Saint. if I lived in Italy I'd come back over and over again to see her. :) Ciao

The facilities are also very family friendly and easy to enjoy laid back nice clean fun

Great place to stay

Very nice place to stay although quite a long way out of the centre of Rome - around an hour from Happy Village to the centre. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for the Happy Bus which takes you to the local Prima Porta station where the trains are very frequent and very cheap. Our chalet had everything you'd need and was spotless. Lovely quiet surroundings, good food in the restaurant with friendly staff and great pool. All in all a lovely place to stay!

Way out there

OK, so I have mixed feelings about this hotel... actually camp ground with villas. We were told that a shuttle would pick us up at the Prima Porta train station which is about a 25 minute ride outside of Rome. I even called that day to make sure it was correct and I was assured it was. We waited at the station for over 3 and a half hours until we finally got a police officer to call the hotel. They then told us to get back on the train and go to another station becasue a festival had blocked the roads. I was fine with that until I found out they had known about this festival for days. Now the reason I have mixed feelings is beacause once we finally got to the place it was beautiful! The villas were fantastic and the landscape was absoulty wonderful. We had our own bathroom and really enjoyed the patio with table and chairs. There was also a resturaunt with bar and pool. The resturaunt was really tasty. My wife and I ate dinner there 3 nights in a row. I would say if you are not visiting the actual city of Rome and didn't mind being so far away from the city center then this is the place for you. If you have to make it to the airport when the shuttle is not running then don't stay here. We had to pay 85 euros ($125 US) just to get to the airport by taxi (The front desk said it would be no more that 50 euros). Note that the shuttle only runs once and hour from 8am to 12 and then from 4:30pm to 9. Overall the rooms are great but the staff is lacking.

Happy Village was great, although on the outskirts of Rome the free 'Happy Bus' that is every hour is just a short ride to the main station, where from there are very regular trains into Rome. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It was great when after a very busy day in the hustle & bustle of Rome to go back somewhere out of the way a little to relax and feel peaceful. We would definitley stay here again.

We spent 21 days and found it to be a great choice. The staff is wonderful. Van took us to the train every day, restaurant on the grounds is very good. Cabin was small but certainly adequate for two. There are bigger cabins with small kithcens if wanted. This was a great alternative to a more expensive hotel in Rome proper

Wonderful site, friendly staff and away from the hassel of the city centre.

Arrived at Prima Porta station as recommended and was met by the \"Happy Bus\" and very friendly driver, which runs on the half hour back to the Camp Site. The Camp site was clean and all the staff were very helpful and polite and the chalet perfect for our stay. A new dining and bar area offered fresh cooked food, to a standard that would rival any Rome restaurants and the prices were more than reasonable. A lot of hard work is going into making this site welcoming and homely. Thanks for a great holiday.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura per una sola notte. Non mi aspettavo dei bungalow prefabbricati, ma in muratura, perciò il senso di pulizia non è dei migliori. Magari l’errore è stato mio che non ho controllato a fondo.
Parco tenuto in ottimo stato anche se la presenza delle blatte non è stato confortevole (Chiaramente problema non dipendente dalla struttura).

Room is cold, bad insulation, weird smell, no ventilation other than window, not a secure lodging (windows thin etc.)
Serious noise during the night (2am), including cars parking nearby even though the gate aaid to be closed at midnight.
Occupancy tax has to be paid in cash, highly convenient.
Not clear from this booking website that this is really camping accomodation. Its not 3 star by any means.
