What made this hotel especially good was the staff. Christina was super helpful and went well beyond expectations top help us try and locate a hotel in the area for one night more than what we had booked. Hotels in the area were sold out but she found a solution for us.

We had a mixed time, to be honest. The staff were very nice and helpful, the breakfast was fine. We liked the local area, because it wasn't too touristy, and the market was great. The accommodation, on the other hand, was tired. The lights fused when we plugged in an international adapter. The shower was operated using an ordinary screw. The bath seemed to be held in place with sealant and the carpets were very worn in the public areas. But by the end of our stay we were quite fond of the place. People need to bear in mind it is a long way (30 minutes to an hour's walk) from the main sights!

It's the middle of summer and after flying 24 hours from Australia and after exploring the city all day, I just want to relax in a cool room booked via Expedia.

Unfortunately for me, the air conditioning at LH Lloyd Rome does not work.

All the receptionist can tell me is \"sorry\" which is not a solution when it is 29 degrees inside your room and not what you expect from a 3* hotel in a European capital .

At 5pm she says \"wait a bit longer\" but temp never goes down. The manager has been made aware but is not onsite, cannot offer any solutions such as reimbursement. I've been to 40 countries, this is one of the worst accommodation experiences.

At midnight, temp dropped to 28.3, but then when I turn on the TV and move around, order down food, it is now back to 28.6..... so am I supposed to wait just a bit longer, until I checkout at 11am perhaps?

This seems like a 1 star hotel, not a 3 star! It is cooler down in the lobby, perhaps I should take a pillow and sleep down there?

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Since I arrived early in the morning, they allowed me to leave my luggages in a storage inside the hotel until the check in time. The room was clean but a paint and new furnishings could help. The only disappointment was the bathtub. It was very small, like 2 X 2 and you almost fit, but I guess that’s the way in Italy. A lot of options to dinner and a lot of options for buses. Very safe to walk at night. I had to extended my stay for 2 more days and they gave me even a better rate than the original. Overall, is a great pleads to stay. I will definitely will stay again.

We’re just staying one night before leaving Rome at room 305. My husband took a shower right after we checked in and found the shower tub draining was blocked. Room was closed to streets and noisy. Air condition doesn’t work

Bang for your buck.

The hotel is nice. It's convenient, because it's across the street from a bus stop, and it's about a 15 minute bus ride to the city center. It was about 105% when I was there, so the location of the hotel was a plus. It's also a block away from a coffee shop. Customer service was there, if needed. The front desk staff was friendly, and spoke English to me when my broken Italian wasn't cutting it. Overall, a nice stay. There's also a mini fridge for you to store water bottles, or takeaway food. For the price, I have no complaints. Plus they were the only hotel during my Europe trip that changed the towels daily, provided us new soap and shampoo.

The Hotel is a steady 30 minute walk to Rome City Centre, which was fine - but doing this twice a day for 4 days got a little tedious. If we were to go back to Rome, we would stay a little closer to all the attractions. Other then that, the Hotel was Fab and the staff were even better - even looked after our bags on the last day, as we checked out before 12, but didn't fly until 10pm. So that was good - just the travelling back for the bags was a bit of a pain. From the Hotel to Termini Station was 9Euro (8 but the driver wanted a tip for opening the boot..) so that was good too!

Great location for us for a family visit to Rome. Lovely, quiet neighborhood feel to this area. For someone familiar with Rome it is also good because of nearness to public transportation. Good value, pleasant staff and nice breakfast!

Between June 04 and June 07, 2018 we had 4 members of our family staying in a family 2 room sweet. on there top floor, the fifth. 3 single beds were in one room, the other room had a sofa which opened to a bed. The central A/C in our rooms operated fine. The hotels only elevator was tiny like most older buildings in Europe. This hotel was built in the 1970's. The rooms were clean, there buffet breakfast cost 10 Eros per day per person and was O.K.. This Hotel was located in a very safe tourist area, lots of restaurants,,super markets, banks, ATM's, Currency Exchange, taxi's, busses, trains, etc. From our Hotel it was a 1 & 1/2 mile walk to Rome's huge train station where many different shops, eatery's, etc. are located. The Coliseum was a 2 mile walk from the Hotel. The Vatican was about 5 or 6 miles away from our Hotel. Our Hotel was 23 miles from the FCO Airport, the flat fee in midsize taxi which might hold 3 passengers and a few luggage suitcases is 48 Eros, bur if you have a larger family 4 passengers like us with lots of luggage you will need two taxi's at the cost 96 Eros or you could arrange a head of time with the Hotel's shuttle driver Anthony to have him meet you at the FCO airport with his brand new 7 passenger luxury Chrysler Mini Van which fits a family of 4 adults and all our luggage just fine. I was very impressed with the Hotels Shuttle driver Anthony, an Italian man in his early 60's who was sharply dressed in a suit. The charge was 60 Eros.

There was no WiFi available during our entire stay. Technical difficulties are understandable, but when we asked for updates, we were met with terrible customer service. They seemed to be completely unconcerned about the inconvenience the outage caused. There must have been numerous customers on business trips, but there was still no urgency to solve the problem.

Hotel was located near several bus stops, which was convenient. However, the sofa bed was uncomfortable, and there weren’t enough electrical outlets in the room.

Comfortable, quiet and spacious room near the centre of Rome. The staff at reception was very helpful and provided all we needed during our stay. The furniture in the rooms are not the most modern I have seen but it doesn't matter as they are big and comfortable. Quiet and safe area of Rome. I wasn't happy with the wifi strength but nothing too important for the stay. I would recommend!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights at the end of August. Mateo at the front desk was really nice and helpful!! The breakfast buffet was excellent. The location is great . I will definitely recommend this hotel. If i had to go back to Rome I would use this hotel for my stay .

Honestly everything was great but they really need to clean the carpets in the room. As well as the bathrooms, they are big and spacious but the ceiling had water damage and there was dirt in the tile on the walls. Other then them needing to clean a bit more the hotel was great and the safe was extremely helpful with everything.

The hotel was perfect for our stay in Rome. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were great and always helpful. It is a bit of a walk into the city centre but it is an great excuse to buy gelato from the amazing Gelateria La Romana on the walk back.

Modern hotel with good wifi and great air-con!

Very nice and modern hotel with fantastic air-con (very appreciated after a long day of walking in 35 degrees), friendly staff, good wi-fi and gorgeous local restaurants close-by. The hotel is located a bit further out from the centre of Rome yet very accessible with buses and metro just around the corner. Breakfast could be improved as it was very basic, however it didn't bother us as we liked to try the local cafes instead.

Convenient, low cost and friendly

The hotel is a nice establishment conveniently placed just outside the city walls. From here their is a number of cheap and easy transport links to all the major city attractions whilst also far enough out to shield you from the hubbub of the city's busier elements. Locally their is a large number of restaurants and shops to see to your needs.

The hotel itself is well staffed and reception is available 24/7. The staff are multilingual typically, with almost all having an excellent grasp of English. They were both accommodating and friendly, plus more than able to help us find our way.

The room was pleasant, clean and moderately well furnished, excellent for a short stay or more. Plus the combination of air conditioning and access both to a terrace and a reception/lounge meant that any prolonged stay was never an issue.

The hotel provides a number of comforts such as free and fast Wi-Fi, Air conditioned rooms, an excellent array of TV services, mini-bar and buffet breakfast. Plus drinks and night caps can be acquired in reception.

The staff were friendly but hardly knew any English to help us out with question we didn't know about the city. They gave us a map of the city and showed us how to get around which was helpful but any questions past getting around, your on your own. The bathrooms were gross. I felt the need to were flip flops in the shower because there was mold on the shower floor . The beds are comfortable but if your getting a queen size bed its two twins put together and at times the beds would move apart.

A good base for sightseeing

Exactly what you would expect for a three star hotel, nothing fancy but clean and tidy and a good base for sightseeing. Very quiet room (104), the double-glazing kept all noise from the (narrow but quite busy) road out, very poor lighting, could really have done with some brighter bulbs, reading anything was a struggle. The bathroom was a little bit tired, could have done with some fresh grout round the bath and a new shower head but it was clean and it worked. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Buffet breakfast, good selection of options although nothing cooked (except boiled eggs). Location was OK, north east of the centre, a short walk to the bus stop and easy access to the sights although the buses were pretty crowded. Plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. Any closer to the main attractions and I suspect the price would have been higher.

Great hotel, friendly staff

Fantastic hotel, rooms were spotlessly clean and well fitted out. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on where to eat, printing tickets for attractions and booking restaurants for us. The hotel's location is a little way out from the centre of Rome but there is a metro station less than 15mins walk away and bus services running into the centre. The area emidiatly surrounding the hotel has a large market open most days, many small restaurants, bars and shops, making it ideal if you don't fancy traveling back into the centre for you evening meal.

Good location with easy access to the majority of the touristic landmarks.
The hotel itself is a bit old fashioned although sufficiently comfortable. The room size and quality is ok. The AC was not very good though - I found it impossible to understand the AC control mechanics and had to live with either a very hot temperature, or no heating during a winter night.

Great value - great location.

My son and I stayed for 2 nights when we came to Rome for the Italy v England Rugby match. We only used the hotel to sleep but it is excellent value and well located. The nearest Metro station is only 10 minutes walk away. The hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a budget booking but the room was clean and tidy as was the bedding. The bathroom was a little tired décor-wise but overall it really was good value & we would visit again. Walking around the neighbourhood we found lots of cafes and restaurants and local businesses so it was great area in which to be based. You felt you were among the people of Rome and not in a tourist enclave.

I would stay again!

My trip began badly as due to a phone problem I lost the contact details for the friend I was meant to meet. She will just think I changed my mind and did not want to see her.
Anyway, the hotel went a long way in making up for the disappointment. It is in a nice little neighbourhood with some friendly bars and restaurants. Not speaking Italian was not a problem. It is walking distance from Termini Station. In fact, from the hotel I enjoyed walking over to the Colosseum, the Pantheon and all of Rome's beauty.
Also, and importantly, the staff on reception were very helpful and spoke great English!

Everything was perfect. The staff was very helpful and professional. The management team was always available and provide communication because we only spoke English. They gave suggestions on where to eat and what to see. They provide us with taxis service and local history. Everyone was so nice and forth coming.

We were very pleased with our stay here, while travelling on a budget. Receptionist gentleman was very helpful after a long flight coming into Rome at midnight. We were given useful information on places to visit, and convenient bus lines.

Best of all, the room was nice and spacious, clean and so comfortable! Plus a breakfast buffet each morning.

Clean good value Hotel well situated.

Room was clean and tidy although décor a bit dated-but I came to view ruins so didn't spend too much time in the room. Hotel about 15 min walk from City centre and the same again to the Coloseum which we found to be ideal.
Had to run the Gauntlet of Asian chaps trying to fog us a 'selfie stick' at every corner which proved extremely tiresome.
Didn't have the breakfast so can't comment but room/Hotel overall not bad!

Great Hotel - would stay again.

Great location, well served by public transport. Great selection of restaurants within a couple of mins walk. Staff very helpful and friendly; breakfast was basic but tasty, a great way to start the day. Rooms basic and clean, ours was looking over the courtyard so very quiet. Our bathroom was a bit awkward but it's not a 5* - overall we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Stay as a last resort only!

This is not a 3 star place...this is a 1 star place. I arrived after midnight and the front desk staff kindly booked me into my room and asked me if needed help getting up to my room. After discovering that she was the help, I declined. I got to my room and the main lights didn't work. After finding my way to a bedside lamp using my phone as a light, that light was missing a bulb and the shade was torn and dangling...the scotch tape that was holding it up lost its sticky. I went to the other bedside lamp and that worked. That was the only light in the room that worked. I went downstairs and the gal at the desk gave me a different room. She quickly ran to the new room to check the lights and they worked, so I moved into the other room. Another lamp didn't work. The heater didn't work and it was freezing. But the worst part was the bathroom... Black mold in every single crevice of the tub and shower, and in the corners on the floor as well. Hair in the drain and in the floor. When I sat down to use the toilet, the seat nearly slipped off the lou as it was broken. The king bed was two hard twins bumped together. I've had a stuffy nose since the night I was there. I would rather pay more money for a different hotel than stay there again.

Great hotel with amazingly friendly staff. Nice, clean rooms, as well as great breakfasts. The hotel is situated about 10 minutes from a metro stop, but there are bus stops even closer by. There's also a nice arrangement of shops, supermarkets, cafe's, and pharmacies within walking distance.

Great location. Just far enough away from central Rome to dodge the tourists and get the local experience. Very comfortable room. Short walk to local metro station and bus stops on Via Nizza. Excellent local bars, restaurants & pizza shops. Would have given 5 out of 5 but for the following - hot food only available at breakfast on 3 days out of 7 stayed due to restuarant renovations, toilet flush was useless and the maid was overeager to clean room (often disregarded do not disturb sign on door)

Nice hotel in quiet neighborhood

This was our last stop of a 6 week trip throughout Europe. The hotel's location is a 15 minute walk from the train station, but I felt none of the hustle and bustle of tourism. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was plentiful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We arrived 6 hours before check in thinking we could drop our bags off, and were surprised that our room was ready. We stayed 4 nights, and were able to get around on the metro from this location quite easily. Two excellent restaurants are within a minutes walk of the hotel (Il Piccolo Diavolo and La Montecarlo). The price was amazing, and you are getting a well above average stay for below average cost.

General Info

The hotel is older and in an okay neighborhood. There is not much around the hotel except the Borghese Park. If you are on a budget, then this hotel is sufficient for a few days in Rome plus Wifi and breakfast is free. Since my boyfriend and I were not in the hotel room much anyway, the money we saved on the hotel could be used on much more satisfying things.

Nice place bathroom needs some work!

We were staying at the hotel for a long weekend. We managed to check in an hour early which was very helpful as we had been awake for some time. The man at the desk was polite but didn't have much to say.
Our room was clean with a huge bed but the safe didn't work. The bathroom was a bit of a disaster, everything leaked leaving massive puddles on the floor.
Bed was made daily & fresh towels which was nice. Breakfast was basic but satiafactory. The hotel is a bit out of town but easy to walk everywhere/to the metro station.
I would say the biggest disappointment was the bathroom, scared you were going to slip and fall in the huge pool of water after each shower/toilet flush/run of the tap. Get this fixed and it would make it a lot better!!

Good value hotel in nice area

Good location in nice area. The room was a good size and very clean but the beds were too hard.
Breakfast was adequate.
The lift was broken when we arrived so had to carry our heavy cases up to 4th floor.
Main problem was that the room was extremely hot with no air con in April so we had to open the window and the street is very noisy with rubbish collections at 1am & 6am every night! Would be fine in summer with a/c on.

Nice hotel within walking distance of all attractions. Nice rooms with new plasma TVs, free wifi & good showers. Also liked the free breakfast. Really impressed with the value for money and would definitely stay again.

Hotel is in a good location and a nice neighborhood, but a little too far from the Metro (can catch the tram and save 10+ minutes walking). The staff was friendly enough and always helpful. The breakfast was good with multiple options (eggs, meat, cereal, yogurt, etc.).
Our room was a good size and quiet even though on a street. No English language channels on the flat screen TV (unless the intermittent BBC News reception is included). The bathroom, and the shower in particular, was the only negative issue with the entire stay; the shower seriously needed chalking or better yet replacement - a lot of water on the floor.

Spotlessly clean hotel in good area

Very clean hotel, in a residential area. Good restaurants nearby, about five minutes walk to tram stop and about 30 minutes walk from Termini main railway station which has a direct service from the airport. A good breakfast with cereal, bread, ham and cheese as well as scrambled egg and sausage, there was even a juicer and carrots, cucumber and fruit to make your own fresh smoothie. It was quiet, the other guests seemed to be mainly business people.

good price,good small hotel

A hotel located away from the central area of Rome but all the better for that. A neighbourhood feel to the area as soon as you walk out the door..bars,restaurants,pizzerias,small local market,shops,Villa Borghese park with a number of good museums a short distance away on foot. A 15 minute walk from the main railway station. Closer than you might think to the major sights..strolling is a pleasure. Good room, very good shower...wifi a little slow,might be better on lower floors..small but good breakfast buffet..breakfast available until 11am which was much appreciated. Staff helpful and friendly. Would gladly stay again.

Blown Away

This hotel was a centerpiece of our amazing stay in Europe. We stayed over 2 weeks and kept this hotel the whole time. Central location and in a very nice neighborhood- short walks to great restaurants and public transit. I was absolutely blown away by the amazing continental breakfast featured at the hotel. The staff was very courteous and I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Rome.

Hotell with excellent cleaning service!

We had a big family room with a double bed and a sofabed where our three children could sleep together. The room was clean and comfortable. Cleaning service everyday ( even on Christmas day) with daily towel change. Big breakfast table with many choices.

Clean, pretty and affordable

It is a great hotel for the price $60/night. It charges higher city tax and fees than other hotels but it is ok. The location is good, room is clean, neighborhood is pretty. It is a little bit far from those famous sites but it is close to two big garden/parks.

Hotel Lloyd was great overall, but we got a smaller room than what I purchased on Expedia. There was hardly any room for us, let alone our stuff. It was also far from central rome. We had to walk at least 2 miles to get to anything

Lovely hotel with only minor issues

We had a very nice stay at this clean and spacious hotel - and we would return here again. The metro is within walking distance, and there is a great gelateria (Tropical Ice) around the corner.

There was one minor issue: the maids walked into our room early in the morning every single day of our stay, sometimes even multiple times - whether we locked the door or left a \"do not disturb\" sign.

Otherwise, all in all a great stay.

Just got home from Rome 3 days ago. Our stay at Hotel Llyod was fabulous. The staff they have is beyond helpful and I couldn't think of one bad thing to say. The breakfast every morning was delicious and it was so convenient to just walk downstairs for breakfast. It wasn't even a 10 minute walk to the buses, and a short ride to all the attractions. We are over all very happy with our stay!

Roma.... Wow!

This hotel is small the reception staff were helpful. Our room did need some minor repairs (bath needed some sealant and the toilet seat moved, also the T.V channels are few and only in Italian apart from the news in English). The area is very quite and the local buses ran very well into the city the bus took approx 15 mins, it's worth getting the Roma Bus pass/metro and this lets you into a couple of museums for free.

This hotel is great value for money located near loads of restaurants as well as great transport links. It is in the quieter, more residential part of rome which was perfect to escape the busy crowds of tourists in the centre. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to couples or families.

Clean, comfy and nice but far from city centre

It's very nice, clean and comfortable hotel, hovewer, it might be far from attractions if you think to walk Rome alongside. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is on the avarage but could have been better. There are nice restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias and bars nearby. Overall, it is better than most of the hotels in the city centre. Recommend everyone if distance is not important for you.

As mentioned a suitable hotel for your basic needs. Not too far away from everything, closest metro is a 10-15 minute walk. Room was basic but comfortable, breakfast free and offered a fair range. Tasted OK to. Staff friendly. An OK all rounder if your not too bothered about luxury and more interested in sight seeing.
