Hotel Pineta Palace was a comforting safe place!

From the 1st arrival Anastasia who checked me in right away with a smile at the front desk reception counter to all the amazing helpful staff — Antonio, Ananda, Mittel & the bartender extraordinaire, Djibrune and your breakfast servers Stefano & Christine, I am sooo happy you made my anxiousness of flying out solo to Rome for the 1st time without knowing any Italian!

I felt Hotel Pineta Palace was a welcoming & comforting safe place from being devastated by my partners of deception of a hospitality venue in a suburb of Chicago that I left with a one-way ticket to Rome with the surrender to God to takeover my Life and he brought me to this place to see the Vatican City.

I am sooo grateful for this time here and the generosity of the people that I am attending the wedding of this couple from Mexico where I will cook for the Wedding Day as the couple didn’t receive the funds to pay for the reception dinner for 32 people, so I offered my services to cook a 3-course Italian dinner from scratch for them as I have done for my Church serving the 300 members and the town’s homeless shelter of 50 people for over 40+yrs.

It was very basic not at all what it looked like room wise in the brouchure. Economy room was not good hard bed and no coffee or tea making available .
The best part of the hotel was the bar including the bar manager .

Hotel: no 1 day ticket available in the hotel. They have only 1 ride ticket, hence we walked down to the shop which is 5 mins walk. This is near to a park that on our stay was busy there were kids afternoon play with sounds. I woke up with the loud noise and sound of a loud microphone! I went to the reception and asked what time the event will finish, i was told 8 pm and that was 4:30 pm😢
>we went out since there in no point of staying to take a rest. We came home around 10:30 pm and there were still the loud noise.
Room: insulation is no good!
Bed : not so comfortable
Toilet: beautiful but was not cleaned on our second day.
Lounge : is bare. No characteristic at all. U will not choose to stay and have a chat with friends. Not welcoming i should say.
Bar: cappuccino was not nice, it does not taste italian coffee at all. The area is not beautiful to chat with friends.very plain . There was a stand with cakes that looks from yesterday.
Reception: receptionist were not welcoming😏
Breakfast room: they have varieties. The cooked scrambled egg was the highlights of our 4 day stay and we look forward everyday😍. The egg was cooked well and enough saltiness. The cakes seemed home made cake which we enjoyed😋. The pastries taste from yesterdays leftover😞. Not a breakfast we had compared to other hotel we've been as 4* category.
Garden: lack of flowers and not so lively🙃

Overall: if u need a place to spend the night , this is fine. If u are small brekky eater this s ok.

A pleasant stay

It's not in hotel row where tourists are expected to stay, this hotel stands alone among apartments and small storefronts. We were able to get a suite for the one night. The view was nice, good sunrise vantage point. Refrigerator, coffee maker, hose for shower. Breakfast was nice: eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, breads, pastries. Coffee was good, I did not have bad coffee in Italy. There are restaurants close by if you don't want the hotel food: Gli sfrontati BIS pizza is really thin crust. Taverna Sacchetti has nice home-made food where locals go. Good walking distance. There is a bar in the hotel for drinks, coffee, pastry, you can choose to eat inside or the patio outside among different apartment dwellings. There is parking downstairs, felt secure. You can purchase bus tickets from lobby to take bus near Vatican #46 or #49 gets you pretty close. It's located close enough to the freeway on the west side of Rome so you can get to the airport without too much hassle. The staff is nice and helpful.

The staff should smile and be friendly to clients the only staff who were smilling are the cleaning staff. Make sure you let them know you need ONE DOUBLE BED, and not two attached single beds so you will be able to sleep at night.

This place was not what we expected. Area of the hotel was filthy, garbage all over the roads. And it was not walking distance to anything. We were expecting closer to the downtown core near the Vatican area. We got what we paid for. But other then that the staff was great, very friendly.

I did not like anything about that hotel. Location is horrible, the service in not great. One of the front desk women should be replaced. It is definitely a zero rating hotel. Expedia needs to do a much been job in listing and rating hotels.

Hotel location is a good 20 minutes from city center. Taking a bus into city also takes longer due dustance and traffic. Hotel ammenities : sparse. Didnt think staff were friendy at all just doing their jobs. Bed was not comfortable. Walls were thin so hearing other guests all the time was an issue. Couldnt sleep first night because of this: undesirable noises from others.

The food foe breakfast wasn't so diverse but it was enjoyable. It is sad that for a 4 star rating hotel it doesn't have an indoor pool at least. The wi-fii connection was terrible at the second floor where we had been check in. The people working there are very perceptive to you wishes or issues that you encounter at their hotel, and very helpful. For the money you pay, and considering the competitions prices in Rome, Pineta Palace Hotel is a great barging.

This hotel is in a quiet residential area but is within easy reach of central Rome by bus and Metro. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast choices were ok - coffee from the bar is much nicer than available at breakfast. The room we had was quite basic but was clean and all we needed for our short break.

When I arrived with my wife we received a room in eight floor that was so dirty and smelling so bad we could not even stand for a couple of minutes. We went to the reception and informed the situation. The answer was \"you chose an economic room, if you upgrade you will receive a better room\" and I said it's not the size of the room but the dirtiness, the smell, the dirty carpet...Finally they said go see another room, there are no refunds, it's with Expedia, etc. We accepted another room. Still the towels were like large napkins, ugly toiletries, very cheap service. Except the lady Victoria in room service!
First and last time in that ugly place...a four (4) start hotel? Please, gentlemen be serious!
Or maybe it was because they do not like Expedia?

Our stay at the Pineta Palace was amazing. Breakfast was great, front desk very friendly and professional. Neighborhood friendly and pretty. Commute little far from downtown but public transportation just 1 block away. I will definitely stay again at Pineta Palace.

I chose this location because it is close to my travel companions. But the hotel is old. The room key is very heavy to carry around, probably weighs six ounces. There are no amenities, No Kleenex. No coffee and tea. No lotion. The bed is clean though. The shower is tiny but also clean.
However, Breakfast is good. All you can eat cereals, apples, croissants, cold cuts, scrambled eggs, bacon, assorted pastries and cakes and pies, juices, coffee and tea.

Very nice hotel with a view of the Vatican

We enjoyed our 8th floor room. Top floor(we called it out penthouse suite.) Large balcony 8 by 12 feet either a clothesline so we could wash some clothes and dry them quickly. Terrific continental breakfast. About 8 minutes walk to the bus stop with easy connections to the Metro, downtown Rome and the train to the coast. Highly recommend!

Hotel Pineta is excellent

My family has a pleasant experience in Hotel Pineta Palace. The hotel is affordable and nice. The receptionist upgraded our room without extra charges. The room is being cleaned everyday with new sheets and towels .
The staff is friendly and accommodating and the selection of breakfast is ok.
The dinner food is delicious too.
It only takes five minutes walk to the Termata to bring us to the Metro. Good walking time.

Nice hotel, friendly & very helpful staff. 45 minute walk to the metro station, busses are available just crazy times, quicker to walk. We found the room would occasionally smell of nicotine, we found this unpleasant. It also mentions sky tv but this didn't seem the case, every channel is in Italian also. Breakfast was ok traditional continental breakfast.

4 Star Hotel deserving of every star

This hotel is incredible on the inside, but the reason that I cannot give it a perfect rating is the location from the airport and downtown Roma. You are just around the corner from the metro bus stop, but if you're like me you try to avoid public transportation. My guest and I had to use taxis to get into downtown and it was costly. This hotel is just a short walk from restaurants and stores, but it is essentially not for tourists unless that tourist wants an authentic Italian experience. The wifi has great connection, the restaurant downstairs as well as the lounge bar are tasty, and the free breakfast in the morning is 10/10. Seriously. You just pick anything and as much as you want of it and BAM. The staff are friendly and speak the best english that they can so be patient. Pro Tips: Do not take any taxi that approaches you or is not an official white taxi and do not interact with anyone overly friendly towards you.

A fantastic hitel, very clean, on 3 bus routes from the metro station, and then a 2 min walk away, put on floor 6 which had just been renovated, beautiful room, bed was hard which was the only downside I could think of. Would be nice with a pool, jacuzzi and steam room to finish if a day walking in Rome.

Great place to stay.

The room was clean and quiet. The staff was always ready to help with any questions we had. The breakfast was outstanding!! It is outside of downtown, so a taxi, or catching the bus is a must to get to points of interest in Rome. This was not a problem for us as we bought a bus ticket and rode the bus to the Vatican area where we joined our Hop On Hop Off bus tour. Very simple. Great stay, thank you.

Worst 4 stars hotel

Probably the worst 4 stars hotel in the world.
Hard to access the hotel and when you get there tones of garbages welcome you outside the hotel and you cannot see the sign of the hotel name behind the trees.
First night I have been attacked by lice and they moved me to another room.
Uncomfortable mattress and bad wall isolation, we could here people talking at the next room and woke up at night when they were flushing the toilet. Rotten door and broken bathroom tile's in addition. No decoration in the room and bed less than one meter away from the toilet door.
Very very bad breakfast buffet with bad coffee and very small coffee cups with big spoons, we had to get up many times just to refill.
Omelet not from real eggs, probably eggs powder and no boiled or fried eggs and also not any fresh vegetables of any kind.
Cheap cheese and middle class ham, bad sausages, canned fruits and machine Joghurt, bad bread in small slices and very thin toast bread slices.
Of course cereals and croissants and that was the only things you could enjoy from that buffet.
Friendly staff and clean room was the only plus.

Not worth it. Very disappointed

Television was tube type and only have 3 channels when i was promised to have a sattelite channels. No balcony view and glass partition was broken with only a string to keep us away. Too dangerous if you stay in balcony. Shower temperature is hard to control. Airconditioning has no thermostat. Would not recommend to friends unless they improve their facilities. Wi-fi although its free is so slow. You cant even check emails. Very disappointed overall.

The hotel is nice and the staff speak English and are nice but the Wi-Fi is the worst I have ever experienced. If you need to get any work done while traveling please choose a different location. Also, the hotel is a bus ride and metro ride to anything to see and what you pay in airport transfers and time traveling would be better served with spending a little more to have a hotel in the city.

This is a great place to stay, just be aware of the train and metro stations which are key to get you all over Rome. My favorite is Gemelli, about a 15min walk.
Room was very clean, had air conditioning, and a balcony. Staff is always great, they'll help you answer any questions you may have. Make sure you check out their restaurant for dinner, for 25 euros a person you can try their Roman menu which will give you appetizer, main course, and dessert. A lot of food for the price you pay, compared to many other places in Rome.
