Everything was great! The room was very pretty. They offer a simple breakfast each more with easy grab and go options. It is about a 20 minute walk to the Vatican and 15 minutes to the Metro. Located in a lovel neighbourhood with great restaurants.

We had an excellent experience during our stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt at home.

The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The housekeeping team did an amazing job keeping everything fresh and tidy throughout.

One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the jacuzzi. After a long day of exploring, it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind and it really made our trip feel extra special.

The hotel overall was family-friendly, well-maintained, and offered everything we needed for a stress-free vacation. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the hospitality we received throughout our stay.

Nice room shocking service

We arrived to be greeted by a pleasant young man, very good English speaking.
Unfortunately on entering our room (lovely decor) we realised there were no towels. This was slightly annoying as we were hot and really needed a refreshing shower.
We asked for towels only to be told they hadn’t arrived from the cleaner, ended up using bedding to dry off.
We then realised although we had a coffee machine there were no pods, we asked for some to be added to the room on exit to go out. These were added whilst out.
Next morning no pods again, or cups.
We went up for the so called breakfast to be greeted by a guy whom I thought was a guest, no English asking if we wanted coffee, job done.
Then he sat down got on his phone and proceeded to chain smoke. Breakfast choices apart from the coffee is shocking, mould, stale, etc. very poor.
We went out for the day and returned for said smoking angry man demanding payment for room, I found this very unusual to pay half way through a stay which lead to a google translate heated conversation. Anyway we paid.
Then entered room to see no coffee again. Also they don’t supply any water.
I know these are only small things but the hotel would be awesome if they just paid attention to these small things.

The staff was friendly, howver, we had no water due to a busted pipe just outside the gate. We were offered anything to compensate. We couldnet even get water to flush the toilet. No shower at night, no wzy to brush our teeth or wash our hands and face, no way to flush the toilet, no shower in the morning, this lasted almost 24 hours.
They wouldnt accept any responsibility or refund anything. We are going through e pedia for a refund now.
No breakfast 2 out of 3 days a d the last day was some mezt abd cheese laid out on a board fruit was inedible, package biscuits were hard.
Room was not as advertised in the pictures. It was a plain room that we dudnt even see in the pics. The AC could not keep the room cool bevause when we would leave for the day the electricity would stop and the AC could never dissipate the heat built up from the day. We requested a fan and got zero response.
No one manned the desk for the energency of zero water and no one answered the emergency number or tesponded to text and emails.

The property was very ornate with beautiful art and period italian charm. Staff were pleasant and acommodating . Breakfast self-serve on terrace was very nice. Not much to do in the hotel , but we were out most of the time .

The outside of the property had limited space and outlook. The showers took a while to heat up and a bit .Overall good quality and value for money.

Despite our late arrival from Interlaken, Switzerland, Marius, the receptionist, facilitated a seamless check-in process by providing clear instructions on self-check-in procedures. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, offering fresh white towels daily and a satisfying breakfast with numerous options. The bus stop was conveniently located just a 3-4 minute walk away. Throughout our 3-day stay, Marius demonstrated exceptional dedication to his duties, attending to our needs despite the absence of another staff member due to illness. Thank you, Marius!

Located in a top notch residential area in Roma west, 5 mins drive to Vatican City which is very convenient for travelers. This service apartment/villa is clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Interior deco seems a bit dated but the suit we have was still roomy and comfy.

Arrived late at night and had to pick up key at reception which was unmanned. Room was close to reception. Bathroom very tired. Breakfast awful. Very homely however but service not great. Room was good size but freezing. WiFi code wasn’t provided so unusable until morning. Restaurant unmanned and dishes from previous diners still there.

Upon arrival we discovered quickly that our bed had broken slats and slumped on one side. We pointed this out to the staff and immediately were given the best room in the hotel for the next ten nights. The hotel was gorgeous with its own private gardens, marble staircases, crystal chandeliers and Art Nouveau paintings...a true testament to Italian style and quality. On New Year's Eve, we welcomed a brand new year from the room's iron balcony, listening to fireworks going off in three different directions! The staff was courteous, spoke perfect English, and were helpful in arranging our pickup for the airport. The continental breakfast was delicious, and the ambiance on the rooftop terrace was priceless...I miss my morning multi-grain and almond croissants and \"Americano Coffee\". An unforgettable experience in the Eternal City...thank you!

We loved this hotel and the family room we booked. Was just perfect for our family of 5. The breakfast on the rooftop was very pleasant and the staff were very polite and friendly. They have beautiful baroque style art everywhere making the atmosphere really special. We will definitely come back here if we visit Rome again.

Charming Decor in a quite neighborhood

I wanted a hotel that had the charm of an old Italianate home and this hotel delivered just that. Love that it was in a neighborhood and not in the crowded city. The staff, especially Marge, were courteous and helpful. My room was comfortable and the restroom was modern and very nice. Beautiful place!

Initially, I was worried about the location as I thought that it would be too remote. But, that was due to my ride there going pass many of Rome's iconic sites excluding the one which is closest to this hotel - the Vatican. On reflection, this place may not be ideal for someone who is elderly or with mobility problems as the pavement leading to the hotel is narrow and there is an incline.

On check-in, the staff were polite, helpful and I receive a city map and she was kind in showing the best routes to see the main attractions. While I didn't catch her name, all the staff at reception and in the kitchen seemed very nice.

I stayed in the Jordan room - admittedly, this was my first vacation, so some may find fault in the things I thought were good, but, all in all, I liked the room. It was a good size, well decorated and, with a mini fridge, safe and this room's door leading straight outside where there was a seating area, it was ideal for me as a solo traveller (a couple may like this room too)

Can't really comment on the free breakfast, as I keep things simple. But with the buffet including biscuits, cake, yoghurts as well as eggs, pastries, other standard breakfast items, there was variety.

This is a quirky little hotel. It looks far grander in the photos. The furnishings and decor are a little on the cheap side. Our room was dark and had few facilities. On the plus side the staff were lovely and breakfast on the roof was good

Be sure to bring your own safe!!

I am sure you will not like what I have to say about the staff at this hotel. They are well organised thieves. First of all, the hotel is amazing! We were having a great time. We stayed for 2 nights while seeing the sights in Rome and enjoyed it so much, we booked another night when we were ready to depart. Things really got ugly this time. Julia and her accomplisses, entered our room and stole my wallet and camera. I am in the process of lodging a compliant with the proper authorities. At the very least, I want them to loose their jobs and be barred from ever working in the industry again. I have proof of their acts.

Everything from the flight, hotel, trip was perfect apart front the return shuttle back to the airport was 40 minutes late. Unacceptable, but was informed by the hotel, via the driver, that he was running late.

Beautiful quiet hotel in residential area.

Was recommended this hotel by a friend and although it was slightly further out of the city centre than I anticipated this meant it was lovely and quiet after hectic days in the city. Our room was huge and beautifully decorated in traditional Italian style with lovely parquet flooring and glass chandeliers making it feel very luxurious at an excellent price. Breakfast served on the roof terrace was very good with regularly replenished pastries and cold meats and cheese and coffees made to order. The staff were very helpful but not intrusive. If you don't mind being away from hustle and bustle and are happy to walk 25 minutes down to the Vatican, then I would thoroughly recommend.

First night in the garden room, not up to standard. Staff moved us into the main building next day and it was lovely, from then on the experience was good. Staff were very helpful and pleasant especially Julia on reception. The breakfast was enjoyable on the rooftop terrace with really good coffee. Close to bustop into town but metro quicker into town if you are prepared to walk. Really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Nothing like the pictures

After viewing photos online we were excited for our stay- unfortunately upon arrival we were immediately disappointed. Our room looked nothing like the pictures. It was extremely dirty, had no AC, 2 lights that flickered throughout the night, 2 outlets and lastly the bathroom walls were full of mold. We all suffered from many many bug bites during our stay

This hotel is located in a nice and quiet residence area. Bus station is about half mile walk from hotel and metro station is about 15-20 minutes walk and if you are in the metro station , you will have access to many city attractions. The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel was very quiet. The only missing item was a table clock to make sure you will get up on time. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Great small boutique hotel

Everything here is really nice: the location, the look-and-feel of the hotel (grounds/garden, rooftop breakfast area, room decor). The one thing about our room: we were in Zelda which we assume was at one point a double room separated by a door. That door has been replaced by essentially a plank... This means that everything that happens in the other room can be heard. Conversations, bathroom usage, \"you-know-what\"; it is like you're in the same room. We very much recommend the hotel, but I would be cautious with the Zelda room. Oh, and the wifi was terrible...

Friendly boutique hotel.

Hotel is in a quiet residential area. Checking in was efficient and staff were extremely helpful and informative. Our room was on the 2nd floor (no lift) and was spotless. Bed was very comfortable, and we slept soundly for the three nights we were there. Breakfast was served in an enclosed roof top terrace and consisted of rolls, pasties, cold meats, yogurts, cake, plenty to set you up for the walk down the steps to the bus stop! When we return to Rome we would return to this hotel. A very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff

We were in Rome for 12 days to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and our stay at the Contessa Arrivabene made it wonderful. The Staff was very professional ,welcoming and treated my husband and I if we were favorite guests! Breakfast each morning was delicious and the expresso's were perfect every time. Our room was beautiful and kept immaculately for us daily. We can't wait for our next trip to Rome and will definitely stay with them again.

Fantastic hotel

The Antica Dimora Contessa Arrivabene is a lovely art deco themed hotel that is a feast for the eyes. Our room was very large compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Italy. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is situated at the top of a hill, but it is only a short walk to the bus stop or a 25 minute walk to the Cipro metro station.

Superb comfort, good location

The hotel was only booked a day before arrival, the location is not right in the centre but in the local suburbs this does not make it hard to access with the closest metro stop being a 15 minute walk. The room we had was spacious with a connected lounge area and small terrace. If you dont mind a short walk a superb place to stay and we felt much nicer than staying in the centre.

PROS: Lovely B&B! Fabulous staff, friendly & helpful! Pretty decor. Great breakfast.
CONS: Hard mattress. No ventillation in our basement room, so it was a bit \"musty\" smelling. (Windows open, but awful mosquitos) A significant taxi ride from the sight seeing area. Few restaurants withing walking distance. LOTS of stairs to contend with! Not good for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast is up 3 steep flights of stairs on the rooftop terrace. Beautiful, but quite a challenge to climb.

First trip to Rome

As a manager of two facilities for 14 years I have always told my staff and employees that you take care of the small things the big things will take care of themselves. The Antica Dimora is a solid 3 star, but could be a 4 star and a great place to stay with some much needed improvements. Starting with cups in the bathroom to use when rinsing your mouth after brushing your teeth. The outside trees and plants need to be trimmed so guests are not walking through branches and vines. When house keeping is done with cleaning the rooms, how about not leaving cigaret butts in ashtray on outside table in front of room door. Maybe assign a smoking area so as guest who do not smoke do not have to smell cigarets when going into their room. Placing towels in bathroom and not on bed, chairs or end tables. Do not leave anything laying around or forgotten, a baby stroller bassinet forgotten in the library come up missing and no one has seen it. Extremely disappointing when there are security cameras and no one on the staff has seen anything. How about looking at the tapes? Now, this of course does not combine the entire staff into one group because that is unfair. There was a extremely helpful front desk staff member a young lady who was so helpful and went out of her way to call the airport for me and allowed us to stay in the library until our driver arrived. She was a bright point and an example of how to turn the Antica Dimora into a 4 star.

A very lovely hotel with most helpful staff

My stay with my mum and nephew at this hotel was so lovely and pleasant. When I notified our delay, staff was reassuring and the reception service was on 24hours. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived at the hotel at late night after a whole day's travelling from the UK and were well looked after during our stay. Breakfast was served with fruits, cold meat, cheese, yogurt, bread, cakes and drinks. Very delicious and bountiful. Lynne was very kind and friendly, she made us a lovely coffee every morning. The room we stayed was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The room itself had a lots of storage space with furniture. A sofa bed for a third person was a little bit sneaky but wasn't much of a problem. Flat TV, Wi-if connection was also very convenient. A coffee/ tea machine was a little delight and a shower/toilet was beautifully decorated. A little fridge was also provided by a welcoming staff on the first night of our stay.

On the first night we took a taxi from Termini Station and taxi fare was various. We paid 20 Euro for a taxi instead of taking 2 buses from Termini. From the 2nd day onwards, it was easy to use buses and found the Rome public transport very efficient. The hotel wasn't far from Vatican and the staff had all the public transport info we needed printed out. We enjoyed a local restaurant which wasn't far from the hotel at a discounted rate as guests of the hotel.

I thank the staff and would love to stay in this hotel again when I visit Rome.

A beautiful boutique hotel in wonderful Roma

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. We considered this a great plus, a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The city centre can be accessed very easily by taking the bus and tube. If you need to eat locally there is an excellent pizzeria within 4 minutes walk. A reasonable supermarket to buy beer and wine is 10 minutes walk away.
The hotel is a gem, a mansion which was previously owned by a wealthy family. The rooms have very high ceilings with ample space. Our room was decorated in an art deco style, swathed with gold, very comfortable. The outside gardens are modest, full of orange and lemon trees, a pleasant place to read a book.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. All requests were dealt with promptly. Unfortunately our case was lost. Giulia the duty manger continually chased the airport baggage handlers until she got a result, with our baggage delivered 3 days late. We also thought our mattress was a little hard. We informed Giulia and it was changed immediately.
The continental breakfast was enough to cover our needs with staff on hand to provide extra for those with larger appetites.
The hotel offers great value and will not disappoint.
As a cautionary note steer clear of street hawkers and unofficial tour guides and be on your guard against pick pockets masquerading as tourists. (Two Romany gypsy ladies with phones on selfie sticks stole my wife’s sun glasses from her bag when we were in the Pantheon). Keep bags zipped

Hamerncheese , yes all one word is the the choice for breakfast, Friendly helpful staff, but look a little out of depth at times.
Nice quiet part of town , excellent eatery 10 mins walk from there. Turn left out of hotel, down hill, around bend, steps on the left, go down to bottom of and Elliots can be found across road and 50 yards further on, highly recommend, Home cooked food, draught ales including guiness.

We stayed here as the Hilton Cavalieri was full. Turned out to be a cossy boutique hotel artistically done. Good staff, simple but descent breakfast on the 2nd floor. No lifts in the hotel so if you are traveling with heavy bags and don't get the room right next to the gate be ready for lugging your suitcases up the staircase. The hotel was value for money and a good place to stay if you want quietness and stay around the Vatican or the Hilton if you come for any conference there. Over all great rooms, courteous staff big bathrooms (stayed in a triple bed room).

BEST HOTEL IN ROMA

I don't know where to start. Our entire stay here has been unbelievable. The staff is the best hotel staff I've come across. My mum and I arrived late due to our flight being delayed by 2hours. When we got to the hotel, they quickly opened the gates and came to greet us and grab our bags. The hotel is BEAUTIFULLLLLL!!!!! Makes you feel like you are in ancient Roma. We had breakfast every morning which is located at the top terrace. Breakfast was self served with a wide variety and always tasted fresh. I was always excited to have breakfast with the beautiful views. Room was always cleaned and serviced when we were gone which was nice because after a long day of touring coming back to a fresh room was always nice. My mum and I didn't know any Italian and it was our first time in Roma. As the hotel does not offer lunch or dinner we decided to order food for dinner. The hotel staff ordered food for us and made sure we always had food. They would go outta their way to ensure we were taken care of and also gave tips on a tours. Highly recommend this hotel.

Stunningly Beautiful Boutique Hotel in Rome

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful hotel for 3 nights mid October
The Staff were amazing, they could not do enough for you, they were so caring and wanted to make our stay
as comfortable as possible. Our Room was huge and so elegantly decorated, very artistic and the rooms were freshened up every day which was a lovely touch. The bed was soo comfy which was great after a long day walking around the city. As there are only 10 bedrooms we feel we got more attention and you actually get to know the staff really well as they are so warm and friendly. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely and airy. Im very fussy about my coffee and this has been the only hotel to make it just right - so I had 2 cups each morning.
The tea/coffee maker in the room was a bonus.
Hotel is out of the city a little bit, but not an issue as the bus stop is just 2 mins away. Thought we walked to the Vatican most days which only took 20 mins or less. A little longer on way back due to slight hilly area, but wasn't a problem, you can always take the bus up.. The Cipro metro is just 10 mins away by foot and takes you straight into the heart of the city. Bus/Metro prices are very cheap

Good location if you don't mind to walk for 20 minutes or take the bus and pay every time 1,50 euros to get to Vatican city.

The negative point is the rooms are not soundproof.

Mansion hotel

This is a beautiful mansion style hotel about a 30 minute bus drive from central Rome. The rooms are outstanding and the pictures don't convey the sheer quality of the decor and furnishings. Do be aware that old, ancient Rome style hotel = old fashioned plumbing and our shower only had hot water for about 10 minutes max. We then had to wait about an hour before we could get anything more than lukewarm water. However don't let that deter you as the hotel is so gorgeous and the staff are so kind and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommended

Brilliant Location

Just a 20 minute walk to the Vatican. 20 minute walk to the nearest Metro, but the bus stop is just only 10 minutes away. It is worth buying a 7 day travelcard from the Metro station for 24 euros which covers you for all buses and underground stations for the entire period.
Please bear in mind some of the museum's do not open on a Monday.
The Hotel is clean and the rooms are fab, the only thing I would suggest they install kettles into each room, but they do provide you with a coffee maker.
Close to all attractions by Metro, we even visited the west coast with our travelcard.

Don't get lost like me. From the \"termini train station\" walk north a little to the underground subway. Use the \"A\" line which is at the lowest level at the subway station. Go northwesterly to subway station \"Cipro\". Walk outside to a bus station named \"Framata\" which is 5 minutes away easterly. \"Framata\" is located in the southeast quadrant of a traffic circle. Take bus #913 northward for about 2 or 3 stops. (There's an excellent restaurant there which I highly recommend.) Climb very long and steep stairs to road above and walk about another block away to destination. You can use a roadway instead of the stairs... but the distance is greater.

Loved living among the locals and experiencing local cuisine and culture. Buses into Rome 5 minutes away and leave at regular intervals. Very helpful staff and friendly breakfast with other guests on the rooftop.

Great Family Hotel

This was a great place to stay. The hotel is quiet and they offer a delicious breakfast in the morning. We had the family room which was 2 rooms connected to each other with plenty of room for the 6 of us. We were just a 20 minute walk to the Vatican and the metro station. We felt safe while we were there and even when traveling back in the evening. I would highly recommend this hotel to any larger family needing a place to stay.

Getting food and drink is a problem

Beautiful surroundings, sensational decor in art deco style. But... no coffee making facilities and breakfast is a bit hit & miss so marking down on these points and after a hard day walking around Rome you'll need something to come back to. However if I'm rating on the look of the place I couldn't score it high enough. Simply stunning

Great stay in Rome

Hotel is beautifully decorated, spacious and in a lovely part of Rome. The mornings started with a basic continental breakfast on the terrace - one of the guys made great coffee. The hotel is a quick 20 minute walk into central Rome, slower on the way home uphill but handy buses available from the Vatican. The local restaurant the hotel recommended was great and reasonable and only a few minutes walk away. We had an adjoining room with our kids and found that our room was a little cold and hot water in the shower wasn't always working so used the kids room to shower - did ask for this to be resolved after the first night but still unresolved when we left so used the noisy airconditioning unit - felt as though this room is not used very often over winter. Only saw the reception staff at checkin but were always available by phone. Enjoyed our stay and ended up booking an extra night as enjoyed our stay in Rome so much.

Beautiful Hotel

Had a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel. The room we had (Daisy) was beautiful and extremely large. It was nice to not stay in a big standard mass produced hotel room. The staff were excellent and we had a lovely breakfast on the terrace every morning. We found that being outside the main tourist area was a huge advantage at dinner time, as we had some great meals at a really low price in restaurants close to the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here!!

Had a lovely stay with my now fiance ( he proposed whilst in Rome).
spacious and comfortable. We stayed in the ground floor room ; and we plucked fresh oranges and lemons off the trees for our drinks..
Had lovely relaxing baths in the water jet bath .
Take a little kettle if you want to have hot drinks .
Its in a lovely quiet area; about 10 -15 min walk from Circo Metro station.
Breakfast is continental - but you can have one of everything , bread, rolls, croissant, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, ham , tea , coffee, juice , jam , butter, nutella.
would stay there again .

Nice B&B in quiet neighborhood

We really enjoyed our stay at Antica. The breakfast was good (croissants, cheese, juice, yogurt, cappuccino) and you could choose to have it in the room or on the rooftop terrace. It was a 10-15 min walk to the metro and maybe 20-25 min to St Peter's Square. The bus stop was even closer, maybe 5 min. The room was big and the staff were very accommodating.

Nearly perfect and good value for money

Lovely hotel and good value for money. The service was excellent the only drawback is that the walls are very thin and could hear all the disturbances from the room next door which woke me up a few times during the night, otherwise a lovely hotel.

Beautiful Mansion

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room was lovely, the staff were incredibly helpful and really friendly and the breakfast we received was delicious and set us up for our long walks around Rome. Though the location is just outside of central Rome, it is just a short bus journey to Vatican City and the nearby metro station so we encountered no problems in finding our way to the sights. If you want a nice quiet sanctuary in the hustle & bustle of Rome, then this is the place you're looking for.

Reasonably good value for money

The hotel personnel tried to do a good job, but they had a few problems with misfunctions in our room and had to redirect us to another room that was tired. Location was a little out of the way, but public transit was about a 10 minute walk. Would recommend it for anyone wanting a reasonably priced hotel with very adequate room sizes.

Great value for money

It was not that easy to find the hotel. The surrounding area is residential area which has its pros and cons. If you don't mind being a little bit off it is great choice of hotel. The vatican is 10 min away with taxi while it takes 20-30 min to Termini train station with taxi.

The hotel is beautiful and very charming! The room is lovely, big and very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

A gem in the midst of the Vatican!

The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating! It is simply a beautifully appointed garden-like gem hidden away on a residential street right in the Vatican area. We were able to easily walk to the Vatican Museums and the subway station. It exceeded our expectations and was truly beautiful. We enjoyed an included breakfast on a roof top terrace overlooking the city!

I really enjoy my time in Antica Dimora Contessa . The staff is very nice and helpful 100%. The rooms look the same as you see in the pictures. they are clean and spacious. the bathroom is very clean too and the breakfast is amazing. The location of the hotel is perfect for taking the bus and also going to convenience stores. If you need to use the internet there is a internet point in the neighborhood. The hotel is very beautiful. If you need any advice to go around Rome do not hesitate to ask Simon the concierge, he is a wonderful person very concern about your safety and very respectful too. I will comeback to Rome and definitely stay in Antica Dimora Contessa.

Silver Wedding Anniversary

Initially we were given a ground floor room which was nice but a bit dark. I had high expectations of this hotel beacause of the reviews so was a bit disappointed. We asked if they had another room available that was lighter and they did, what a room it was fabulous! All the staff were very very helpful, courteous nothing was too much trouble and helped us with public transport, local places to eat, restaurant bookings and directions to Villa D'este (thanks Veronica!)
The gardens were well kept and invited you in all together a wonderful week which added to the magic of Rome, really loved this city and hotel.

Big rooms but far from city center

Nice hotel overall however quite a trek from city center. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro station. The surrounding neighborhood does not have much to do however there is a nice restaurant called il peppercino just around the the corner that has great affordable food and is open until midnight.

Great hotel!

We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights. The room was decorated well and it was spacious. Not to mention the comfy bed. The area is quiet and serene. We could either have breakfast on the rooftop terrace or in the room. The staff was very attentive and helpful whenever needed. The only thing is the distance. It is a bit away from the city centre but the staff helped with getting a taxi.

The hotel was a bit of a hike from the train and metro stations, but it was a welcome relief to arrive and rest in the beautiful room. The hotel wifi was pretty slow, but the room was comfortable and quiet, the bathroom was lovely, and the breakfast on the terrace was delightful. Everything was clean and well taken care of.

A hidden jewel, only 20 min walk to Vatican.

The rooms are gorgeous, feels like you are living in a palace. The staff is excellent, extremely polite and very helpful. Located only 20 min walk from the Vatican. This was an old mansion converted into a 6-8 room hotel. So not your usual busy, noisy hotel. I would recommend it strongly.

Nice, but..........

My wife daughter and I stayed for a week at this B&B, the rooms are just as good as the pictures show. The room comfort is excellent and cleanliness is good but could be improved upon. We booked this hotel in September 2013 for April 2014 as we did not want to miss out on the canonisation of Pope John Paul II. Upon our late evening arrival we were placed in a basement room which reeked of fetid air and was furnished with items that you would find in a junk yard. Upon complaining the next morning about the poor accommodation standard and advising staff of our intention to leave we were then offered premium rooms which were the same cost as the 'dungeon' in which we had spent the previous night.
We found that our experience was made excellent because of the efforts of a few staff members, rather than the hotel chain. \"Simon\" from India will bend over backwards to help tourists out, but other staff appear to only do the bare minimum. Silvia was excellent with our transport arrangements and responded quickly to all our emails. My wife left her expensive DSLR camera charger in our room upon check out, the item was handed in to the desk staff who never contacted us over the item. When we made enquiries about having the charger forwarded by mail we had to leave many messages with several staff and resend several emails with our mailing address, to date we are still awaiting confirmation on the whereabouts of the charger.

A Gem of a Hotel!

Hi. We recenly stayed at Antica Dimora in Rome and it was an altogether wonderful experience. It is a smaller hotel, boutique in nature, and the room we were assigned (\"Jordan\") was actually entered from a short path that led from main building. A wonderfully large room, beautifully appointed (stained glass windows, power shades, beautiful chandelier and artwork) with a great bathroom and strong shower. The place is immaculate. And as an extra, wonderful touch, a terrific breakfast is delivered to your room at the time tyou specify -- croissants, pastries, fruit, yogurt, juice and cappuicino. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. And while not close to the subway (not much is -- Rome only has two subway lines), a taxi appeared within two minutes every tiomne we requested one of the front desk. All in all, a wonderful hotel and a great bargain!

El hotel no queda lejos del Vaticano, pero tiene muy complicada su accesibilidad, tienes que pagar taxi, o Uber en la noche principalmente, no te dan agua entonces si no llevas ni modo, la cafetera estaba súper sucia y somos de tomar café, así que fue terrible! El agua de la regadera tarda una eternidad en salir caliente sentía que desperdiciaba mucha agua y en la tasa de baño tuvimos que ver la manera en que no saliera tanta agua y el desayuno pésimo!!!

Es una casa adaptada, con estaciones muy espaciosas, nos encantó. Muchos árboles y a unos metros de una calle principal donde hay muchos cafés y si la sigues a unos 3” minutos está el metro que te lleva al centro y a unos
25 minutos caminando a la basílica. El personal Marius excelente, su café nos salvó la mañana y la terraza en el último piso lo mejor para empezar el día. Volveríamos
