The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, and the room is spacious enough for a family. There is a train station just a two-minute walk away, making it convenient to commute to Rome’s historical sites. Overall, we really liked the place. The only drawback is that the room temperature is a bit cold, especially since we are visiting Rome at the end of December.

We stayed in this property for 4 nights in Aug 2025. Check in was easy, we got our room slightly before 3. Great location and filtered water on site. We did not leverage the breakfast as it was very pricey 19 euros. The washing was nice to have but expensive at 5 dollar per wash/dry. Hotel staff were helpful. We were on the 5th floor - our room was never cleaned in the 4 days we were there… not sure if this needed to be requested.

We had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the positive side, it was very easy to get to using public transport, which made our arrival stress-free.

However, there were several downsides to our stay. Firstly, we didn’t experience any housekeeping during our time there – no one came by to replace towels. Additionally, there was an unpleasant sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which made it uncomfortable to use.

Another issue was with the pool. You had to book a time slot to use it, and if you stayed too long, you could actually be asked to leave – which took away from the relaxing atmosphere we had hoped for.

The room did have a kitchen, which we appreciated, but unfortunately, there was no cutlery at all, which made it quite difficult to prepare or enjoy any meals.

All in all, while the location and transport access were good, the overall experience left a bit to be desired.

We decided to stay slightly out as wanted a pool in the hot days. Lovely apartment very clean and great for families as very spacious. Pool was great after site seeing, staff super helpful and large fridge for drinks too at reception and in room.
Also added bonus fantastic restaurant next door to hotel which had great local food and very reasonable prices, ate two out of three nights. Overall worked really well getting into town on bus or metro super easy.

Great location, right next to Roma Balduina train, 2 stations away from Valle Aurelia where you can transfer to Linea A metro. Close to De Carolis avenue where routes can take you to centro storico and most attractions. Parking has an extra cost, mattresses need an update. Nice balcony, pool, kitchen. 24 hr reception.

Arrived to a queue of people waiting in the lobby also waiting to check-in. Apparently there was a shift-change directly at everyone’s check-in time which left one person to check almost 8 families in at the same time. We waited nearly an hour to check in. Hallways were pitch black as we had to use a flashlight to find our room. Once in the room, Hot water in the room fluctuated immensely, from freezing cold to nearly scalding hot with no movement of the knob. My girlfriend cut herself in the room and when I asked the front about a bandage, they refused and sent me to a pharmacy a long walk away. On top of that, while chilling by the pool (which you arent allowed hotel towels at) the lifeguard was fully inattentive and on his phone as there were children in the pool. But the pros: AC was great!

Not a great overall experience

The room wasn't fully cleaned, old towels still hanging up, the pullout bed was not made and no sheets or pillows in the room, had to argue with the front desk to supply them, and two male receptionists were extremely unhelpful, asked about trains and was told to download an app, not one bit helpful,especially given it takes a train and metro to get into town- wouldn't go back

The staff took good care of us and made dinner recommendations when asked. I had an emergency where the screw of my glasses got loose and the front desk was able to find an utility knife to help us fix the problem after trying to find a screwdriver small enough to work. Breakfast was enjoyable.

A great spot outside the busy, crowded centres with a train station only a few steps away. Easy to get anywhere in Rome within minutes. Great pool to relax after sightseeing. Room has a comfortable bed and functional appliances. Great restaurant next door as well. Staff are very friendly, knowledgable, and speak multiple languages.

The images online were not a true representation of the location. The shower head was broken. Water sprayed everywhere when in use. The ceilings were moldy from condensation and the ceiling tiles not properly placed. This made me feel like our privacy was violated as the ceiling hole was right above the toilet. I had to get onto a chair to try to get it closed. The power outlets on one side of the room did not work. I asked for an iron for the room. It was listed as upon request online. Never received it. The AC did not work. We could hear full conversations from outside at all hours of the day and night. It was over priced for the quality received.

The hotel was fine. The shower in the room was very small. And the bed was 2 beds pushed together with 2 Separate blankets which was uncomfortable for a couple.

Perfect stay for short and long vacation, with an option to cook food and eat as you wish. We were 3 including my 11yr old and there is nothing that we can complain. One thing to remember is that room service is carried out only once a week and meanwhile if you wish to keep your room clean, you could do on your own.

Great hotel. Rooms were really big, clean, newly renovated, had nice kitchen. The property had a lot of amenities like a pool, breakfast and board games to take up to your room. They give you 10% off to a great restaurant that’s right next door. The property is the building next door to the train. Only negative is it’s a few stops from most stuff in Rome but definitely worth staying as Rome is a big city and no hotel is next to everything. The neighborhood is a little dead tho compared to other neighborhoods in Rome. I would 100% recommended this hotel and plan to go back myself.

Friendly staff, very nice apartment and right next to the train station to the city center. Parking and breakfast are a little on the pricey side, but you have a kitchen and a grocery store nearby, so breakfast can be cheap if you want to. Overall we were quite satisfied with our stay and would gladly do so again if we go back to Rome.

Ideal apartment for exploring Rome but without being in the centre. Located right next to the train station to take you a few stops to the centre. On a good bus route also. Lovely clean and spacious apartment. Friendly and helpful reception staff. A good restaurant next door if you aren't venturing into the centre of Rome and several nearby supermarkets. Onsite breakfast area was clean and good choice but cheaper to cater for your own breakfast in the apartment. Pool area spotlessly clean and sufficient sun loungers. Would recommend if you don't mind the daily travel into the centre of Rome.

We got a flat for four people. Double bed was good but sofa bed was not very comfortable. Staffs were awesome and helpful in this hotel. Be careful about the train when you get back to the hotel because not all trains stays at Balduina station (where the hotel is located).

Our room was large and clean with a large patio. It had a kitchenette with anything you could need. Large bathroom and the most comfortable bed, pillows and fresh linens. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The pool and grounds were maintained. Just north in Vatican City, Adagio was just outside of the hustle & bustle of Rome. The restaurant next door is to die for! We would absolutely stay again.

The location is in a nice residential area, 15-30 min drive from the attractions. If you plan to drive, this place is nice with parking. Otherwise, bus/train stations are right nearby. However, we just used taxi because it saves time and for a family of 4, the cost benefits of bus/train tickets is not high.

The train station is next door to the hotel, and the bus stop is only three minutes. The grocery store and pharmacy are five minutes away as well. They have an amazing staff, and everyone speaks multiple languages very well (english, french, italian, spanish, german). The staff was very helpful with directions, guidelines and support. The hotel is a very quiet area. I would recommend it to anyone.

Spacious. Kitchen equiped to make self catering easier, good laundry facilities in basement. Reception staff were excellent, very helpful. Supermarkets close by, locals guided us on what was best to buy. Nice pool (pack a pool towel or pay to use one), regular bus route past Vatican into city centre; alcohol cheaper at the local supermarket than on city shops/markets. Nice that housekeeping did not clean room everyday, as that gave us more privacy to have a relaxed breakfast. Hotel breakfast was only continental when we went on a Sun morning, adequate I guess if on a short break; unremarkable breakfast especially when much better food available elsewhere, (we only went to breakfast once).

Adagio - okay hotel, scruffy area

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay.
As far as the Hotel goes, it could do with freshening up decor wise - the room size (we had a 1 bedroom apartment) was really good, but the furniture in our room was a bit shabby, all looked a bit tired - I would give room size a 4* and room equipment/decor a 3* if I was rating it.
The breakfast (even at the reduced price of 10EUR instead of 12EUR each) was very overpriced for a poor selection of food.
Pool was small but nice for kids. Easy access to Rome from station next door.
Local area was unfortunately a bit of a dump - lots of rubbish in streets and graffiti everywhere.
Restaurant next door (Capperi) was great - good food, good service.

The apartment, dining room and reception area was spacious & clean,a little noisy in the evening from the main road.
The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly.
The pool area was perfect for our last day of relaxation after 3 heavy tourist days walking around the beautiful city of Rome
The bus & train services were close by and ran regularly
The adjacent restaurant was gorgeous, they provide the full menu as take away (great for the lazy pool day)

I would recommend purchasing the Omnia passes and activating them before you go, the pass is for the sites and travelling you want to do whilst in Rome, they saved us time and money.

Nothing bad to say about this hotel. Except for the extra charge for a cleaner. The staff were so lovely and willing to help! They had maps and detailed directions to hand so you dont get lost. Closest station is Balduina which is a couple steps from the hotel. Thank you!

Nice, clean and spacious. Even though it is far from the tourist area, it is just steps from the train station which connects to the metro area. Very convenient. Service is good, staff are helpful. For a moderate price (11 EURO), can enjoy a great breakfast (all you can eat). Will definitely come back.

Unfortunately, the wi-fi was out of order for more than 2 days and that caused major inconvenience. I would have given 5 stars if not because of the unavailability of wi-fi.

Another thing, could understand had to pay 8 EURO per person per day City Tax. Thought Expedia.ca already charged taxes.

We enjoyed staying at this apartment hotel. It's a little further out of the center of town which allowed us to have a more local experience. It's located directly next to one of the metro stations which makes it easy to hop on to get to town. It's also easy to walk. A tip for tickets to the train if the machine is down in the station, go to the Tobacco shop. They sell them there.

Nice room and swimming pool, but far from the cent

We enjoyed our stay at Adagio Aparthotel. We walked to the centre of the city (Piazza Del Popolo) in 75 minutes. Otherwise, we took taxis (15 Euros) and the Metro from Cipro station (18 minute walk from hotel). We liked having a pool and some quiet time away from the busy centre, but it was not a place to stay if you are pressed for time. Great place to stay as a family because of the pool and kitchenette in the room. The lady and younger man at the front desk was quite helpful and pleasant throughout our stay.

Overrated and rude staff

Arrived a day earlier in Rome so we asked if there was a room available. Immediately the guy at the front desk said No no no I'm sorry no. I said thank you and walked away. Another guest follows me out and says ma'am he may have something. I walked back in and this imbecile actually tried to make me feel bad for him to see if there were rooms available. He then proceeds to tell me several times that I'm lucky he found rooms but also stressed him out because he know has a lot of work to do to move reservations around. As if that's my problem. Yeah no thank you wouldn't stay here again!
