The BW Nazionale is located within easy walking distance to all the attractions. We loved the room, a junior suite with balcony. Very clean and spacious. The hotel terrace offers a spectacular view of the water and city.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. Travelling as a family of 4. Basically 4 adults, our suite was more than spacious. The location is prime for everything you could possibly want to do in San Remo. Balcony overlooking the casino was the cherry on top.

Great location on the pedestrian down town area close to shops and restaurants. Make sure you reserve a parking spot ahead of time and be prepared to stop at the pedestrian mall to unload and hand over your car when the garage attendant arrives (need to call ahead for this).

This was our third stay in this hotel over the years. We enjoy coming back. The location is great, close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Rooms are spacious and clean. The only improvement we would recommend is to solve the parking as they have only limited number of spots in the garage and in the busy summer season we had to search for an open spot on the streets. Nevertheless we will be coming back.

This is an old top-of-the-line luxury hotel. It has been beautifully renovated and it has retained the dignity that made it sought after. It is on a walking street of shopping and activity. Sanremo is a popular beach resort...and yet, in its midst sits the hotel, a quiet oasis.

Wonderful hotel close to everything

The hotel is very welcoming and spotlessly clean. This was our fourth time in Sanremo but our first time in this hotel. It’s now our favourite!
It’s in a superb location close to beach and shopping. We loved the breakfast at the rooftop. The hotel restaurant is excellent too. We’ll definitely be back. A big thank you to the hotel staff.

Loved the maid, she was excellent. - Noisy street, even off season and mid week. - Tiny room and small little shower stall, but was that only ours since it was a hotels.com cheap booking? Glad we found the roofdeck with nice views, even though it was off season and cold, it was nice up there. No parking, hard to find.

It’s a nice hotel, however, getting to the hotel to take advantage of the “parking available benefit” (aside from the $27 cost) is very difficult . I drove around 30 minutes just trying to figure how to get the hotel while driving a vehicle. The answer is, you can’t drive up to the hotel. It’s part of a nice pedestrian way with shops and it is next door to the casino. My suggestion is if you’re traveling via a cab to get there then by all means it’s worth it. If you’re driving a vehicle then save yourself the headache and avoid it.

Great location and the best thing was having the superb car park attendant meet us on arrival and advise how and where to park the car. Good room but one small gripe - I think Best Western lets itself down by not including the buffet breakfast in the price - such a small cost to them and means I don't give 5 stars!

The location of this hotel was perfect. It was at the start of the main shopping street/mall and along side the Casino !
We were able to walk to most places from this location including the small beach. The restaurant at this hotel was very good and it's Bar Nazionale was also very good and convenient for a coffee or a drink, or just to sit and take in the atmosphere of this place.
I would recommend this Hotel to all.

Good value in tourist season

Hotel was well-located in the centre of Sanremo next to the Municipal Casino (which is very impressive). Rooms were comfortable enough and reasonably spacious - bathroom was large. However despite requesting non-smoking rooms there were ashtrays in the room and a slight smell of cigarettes - not overwhelming or unbearable, but enough to notice. This gave a general sense of lack of cleanliness.

The hotel location means it can be noisy late at night, the adjacent roadway didn't quiet down until after midnight both nights.

Breakfast is very reasonable (8 euros) but quite poor, particularly the coffee which in Italy is disappointing!

All in all, perfectly acceptable, and good value in tourist season, but wouldn't rush back.

Very clean hotel and all the staff in the hotel and attached cafe and restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views from the roof top bar and lovely area to enjoy breakfast.
The food was delicious and very varied menu from the restaurant. Spent several evenings taking in the ambience of a the walkway outside the hotel, drinking Aperol spritz. Extremely relaxing and a great place to people watch.

The location was perfect, right next to the Casino. The street is on a major shopping street and it is close to the water. There are good restaurants close by. The hotel staff was friendly and they room was modern and very comfortable. If you are coming by train it is about a 15 minute walk.

Top floor room given to us was really nice. Huge, great view, all amenities you need, comfortable bed.
Really liked the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served.
Staff was really nice attentive and helpful. Hotel manager seemed to be always duty - whenever I walked in the hotel he was there to meet and greet and to ensure all is good. The entire hotel team was also very nice and helpful.

We wanted a close to the city hotel, also near the beach - perfect.
Standard Room is not big, but has a lot of storage space and a comfortable bed.
Leaving the Hotel you are in the pedestrian zone next to the Casino. The Hotel has also a nice Bar/Café and a good Restaurant.
The Roof Top Terrace has a great view to the sea and over the town. Chairs etc. are available.
Helpful Staff and Consierge. They have valet parking for €18.-/day and help you to bring and get the luggage from the unloading zone 25m away (outside the pedestrian zone).
Would recommend to stay again

The hotel does not have great signs to notify their guests of their location. It took us 1.5 hours to drive around and around the hotel and neighborhood before we found the hotel. The hotel site is on a promenade and not a street which makes it difficult to find.

Hotel is very well located next to Grand Casino. This is good for walking around. It is very difficult to figure out you should pull onto the pedestrian mall and walk up the mall 150 feet to the hotel entrance to check in. San remo is not the easiest place to drive. The pedestrian mall is a great location. We were upgraded, probably due to low season. Nice junior suite overlooking the casino. Excellent views from rooftop terrace at night. The guy at the reception was exceptionally friendly and very helpful.

We were very lost arriving by car from Portofino. The guy at the desk, who I neglected to get his name, immediately offered kind words and a big smile regarding the roads. We were upgraded. Next to the Grand Casino which just feels good, big lights, nice views. Room was comfortable. Great location. And the valet parking was more than worth it!!! Instructions to leave by car were fool proof. We made the flight ;-))

Hotel was decent but not remarkable in any way. Wasn't given a non-smoking room as requested. Interiors very dated. Parking was a disaster and frankly the most stressful part of our 10-day road trip was just trying to navigate the immediate surrounding area of this hotel, park, and check-in on a busy late September Wednesday night. Would have skipped this location entirely had we known how congested the immediate area would be.

Street room noisy, breakfast a let down

After a week in Liguria our last two nights were spent in San Remo which is a great place. Wilst rooms were comfortable and clean, the one on the street was quite noisy. Breakfast was disappointing and was understaffed meaning there was always something missing. At the desk the staff seemed impersonal and disinterested. This hotel is wonderfully located and has the potential to be really good, but our experience was a let down.

This is a first class hotel, which just might have the best location in the city - i.e., next to the casino and at the start of the pedestrian walk. The hotel restaurant was closed to the public the night we were for a special event, but they directed us to the Mer Blu a block away that was one of the better restaurants we have eaten at in Europe. The staff also helped us park our car, which is important in San Remo.

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting

We stayed at the Hotel Nazionale in San Remo, Italy for 2 nights. The room was clean, a good size for Europe, and right in the centre of town. There was an excellent view of the Mediterranean Sea from the rooftop and a pleasant view of the town from our room balcony. The reception staff spoke English and were very helpful with directions and points of interest. Overall, this was a very nice hotel at a reasonable price; we were very satisfied.

the size of the bedroom let it down

In general, we were satisfied with the hotel, although the rooms were very small.Work was being carried out on the road and made finding the hotel and offloading the luggage a bit of a drama. The car park is not on site. The temperature of the jacuzzi was a bit of a worry, as it was only tepid and so we felt that germs might breed easily! Sadly we couldn't use it.The breakfast area on the top floor had a great view.

We had a very pleasant relaxing stay in San Remo which was mainly due to the Hotel and its service and comfortable room. We opted for a superior double which was excellent and the cleanliness and attention to detail was fantastic. Linen and towels were changed daily and the staff were very friendly and we would thoroughly recommend this hotel to everyone.

The customer service was excellent. It was raining and they let us check in really early, as we were so early our room was not ready so they kindly upgraded us to a suite for the night. The rooms were lovely, the services at the hotel were perfect, we were right next to the lift but never heard any noise from our room or from within the
hotel. Breakfast was a delicious buffet with all tastes covered and the option of a nice, freshly cooked omelette. We had lunch at the restaurant attached to the hotel, it was a very pleasant and well priced meal, with friendly service. The hotel is well placed, just a five minute walk to the famous market, there are plenty of restaurants and great coffee shop/bars close by. We made use of their lounge bar, once again great service and nice food. I was very anxious about booking a hotel in San Remo as so many of them looked nice on their websites. All I can say is, I am VERY glad I chose the Best Western Nazionale, as it exceeded all expectations and looked a lot nicer than the others I had viewed online.
We have no complaints, just compliments to the hotel staff and management for a well run establishment at a great price.

Fantastic location, and close to many attractions on the Riviera! The hotel staff was very professional, they spoke English and they were very courteous. The person at the reception gave us several options for parking our car and presented us with coupons to the casino which is right next door. We would definitely recommend this place.

The rather nice pictures on of this hotel are not of the rooms allocated, so don't expect anything as luxurious.
We were also given a smoking room and when we asked to be moved, were downgraded...for the same price!
San Remo is a great town, but this might not be the best hotel?
