Place itself was great but we did experience a few misfortunes. First, the hotel’s expedia page said there was parking on-site which was a very important criteria/feature for us because we were driving for several days en route to a wedding and had some valuables in the car and of course didn’t want to unpack everything for 1 night stay where we would only need a backpack or duffle. Well turns out the do not have parking onsite and the only option was the public beach parking lot with no surveillance. The second issue was that the bathroom’s bidet was not properly cleaned prior to our arrival. We found several pubic hairs and gunk that made me gag uncontrollably for several minutes. Of course I can’t help but wonder, what else are they not cleaning properly?

Great location, the rooms are comfortable and the lovely monsieur at the don’t desk is an absolute gem.

Property and staff were great. Excellent proximity to train station and other transportation. Front desk was polite and very helpful. They went out of their way to print something for me, as well as fluency in English. The rooftop bar and swimming pool are a great addition. Very easy place to hang out. The pool was cold, but it was refreshing and you get a very nice view.

The property is well located and right in front of the beaches and close to the restaurants/shopping. It has a picturesque view of the ocean. The building is one of character & majestic design of the era. The breakfast at the property is good. The downsides of this property are poor wifi especially as we were allocated a room on the top floor, 5th floor. The higher you go up the wifi decreases in strength. The room we were given was different to what Expedia displayed on its app. It was spacious but not renovated. When we asked for an iron for our room we were told we had to go to the gym to use the iron as they do not give guests irons in their rooms because they believe that guests may cause a fire by using an iron in their hotel room??? The gym is small and has basic equipment.

Our room had a nice sea view. Unfortunately, that was ruined by all of the traffic noise from 4am to 1 am. Many, many loud scooters, motorcycles and cars all day and night.
The TV in the room had very bad reception. It would go blank and buffer for 10-15 mins at a time. Basically useless.

Breakfast was good. If you go, forget about getting a sea view unless you can sleep thru the traffic noise.

Very clean room, quite modern and easy to get to the key parts of the town. Check in process was relatively easy, with (paid) parking across the road. It seems everywhere in San Remo is close to the main roads but the windows kept most of noise out and allow you to get a good night sleep. Would stay here again.

Outstanding! Great location

We didn't know what to expect - and were truly impressed from our first step into this hotel.
The Lolli Palace is 120 years old: grand and elegant from the outside while nside it is undergoing a multi-year refresh with outstanding results.
They have done a beautiful job of preserving the historical details (stunning) mixing in elegant, modern furnishings and facilities.
The lobby sets the tone: historical posters and photographs show its history, the plaster work has been redone to perfection - but the couches, coffee tables, bar area all say 21st C.
Staff welcome was excellent, questions were answered quickly.
We got one of their smallest room (334) beautifully redone and so intelligently designed it was comfortable for the two of us (and my husband is 6'3\"!) The bed, bedding, bathroom all first class, providing a sense of pampering. The room safe is large (a nice touch) and there is a discreet room frig. Shower had great pressure.
They have a rooftop deck but it was closed in Winter. There is a 1st floor deck that is open and nicely arranged with a view of the Russian church.
The location could not be better: you are right on the Promenade, a block from the pedestrian walkway that meanders through Sanremo or you can walk west along the beach front and the many waterfront restaurants.
Equally convenient for exploring the historical neighborhoods of Sanremo.
All in all a very pleasant stay we will happily repeat!

This is a fantastic hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms and amazing service at every level. The beds and pillows are top-notch and we woke every morning relaxed and ready for the day ahead.
The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Every request was met with a smile and seen to straight away.

The hotel is well situated for walking to the beach and the pedestrian and casino area of San Remo. The only drawback it that it is on a very busy road, and it is impossible to drive to the front of the hotel to drop off and collect luggage given it is on a small lane. Parking is in a public lot across the street (provided it isn't closed for an event). The rooms are small but comfortable and seemed clean. Bathrooms have been updated and are of good standard. The breakfast buffet is offered in a lovely large and bright room overlooking gardens and the beach, and even has some space to eat on small balconies. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The rooftop terrace, which features in their promotion photos, comprises the four tables and a few lounge chairs shown in the picture, but nothing else. What a shame more is not made of this feature. It has stunning views across to the impressive Russian church as well as of the entire beach promenade.

Terribly dirty full of insects

It was terrible, especially the cleanliness of the hotel. Even the new towels provided were terribly dirty.
There where lots of insects in the room and our bodies are all biten. I think this bad condition of the hotel is because of the planned restoration it will go through but this cannot be an excuse given the relatively high price and rating.
I will never advice this hotel to any of my friends.

San Remo is a lovely beach town and well worth a visit. The locals are friendly and there was no shortage of things to do. Excellent dinners thanx to trip advisor and even a free performance by the Russian Symphony. This property is very centrally located and within walking distance to everything. The breakfast room is very well done and has a fabulous view. The rooms on the north front can be loud. If possible choose a partial ocean view facing south over the park.

We love this hotel it's proximity to restaurant s and the ocean directly across the road where there is safe swimming and a sandy beach. The staff were extremely helpful except for one who did not seem to understand the difficulties of older people and was quite rude, thus wrecking the experience of a fabulous hotel.

Room needs updating, shower awful had to run around to get wet. Parking a nightmare, €20 euros a day. Street parking non existent, even in March is full everyday.

The staff at the hotel are very helpful and accommodating. Dinner was very authentic and prepared perfectly. Great selection of food and wine. Breakfast is excellent. The room was extremely clean and quite, and the bed was comfortable. Our room was the junior suite and the views are amazing. Very nice modern shower. Close to all the shops. Hidden gem on the Italian Riviera

We stayed one night on our way back to Spain from Italy and wish we had spent more time there. The hotel is a grand turn of the century building on the sea front with a lot of character. We had breakfast (included) and dinner there and the quality of the food and service was excellent.

Well appointed hotel in a great location with beach just across the road and a short walk to main shopping and eating areas of town.
Stayed on third floor and whilst room was fairly small it was clean with what appeared to be a recently modernised bathroom with shower. Lovely view from balcony of beach and sea. Vey friendly, cheerful and helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. Only negative was no tea/coffee facilities in room.

Our first room was below standard, hard bed, room fittings were average the TV was tiny and had poor reception. It was very hot during our stay and the A/C was not working, we reported the problem and were told that we should wait and it will cool down. When it didn't we were told that it was working and it would cool down. After a hot night in our room (we could not open the windows because of the constant road noise), we complained in the morning. After insisting they check it again, they did and agreed it was faulty and offered to move us to a new room. The new room was marginally better but at-least the A/C worked.

Internet reception was patchy in the rooms, we had to go into the hallway to connect to the WiFi

Location can't be beat

First of all, the location is unbelievable. Our balcony looked out to the water. Within walking distance of shopping, the casino, dining. Also the beautiful little Orthodox church is right on the next corner. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very good. Typical European breakfast with meats, cheeses, danish, yogurt, cold cereal, fruit. Did have scrambled eggs and hard boiled. The breakfast dining room looks out to the water. Beautiful in the morning--bright and sunny. Our hotel room itself and furnishings were a bit dated, but it was always clean as was the bathroom. No shower curtain though, which makes it difficult. Actually had to sit in the tub to wash and rinse my hair without splashing and soaking the whole room. With it being an older building, I think the hand shower was added to the faucet area rather than tearing apart the wall for a shower head. Dated furnishings are nothing to us as we tend to go with the flow and love Europe and the experience. We would stay here again for the location, price, and friendliness.

I cannot recommend a stay at Loli Palace. The place was run down, the room was not very clean and it had a very stange smell, the breakfast restaurant was dirty and a mess and the service was not good at all. Furthermore, there is a lot of trafficnoise from the road.

Where to stay in San Remo

If you want to have a taste of how the 19th century European Gotha most famous people were spending their time on the Italian Riviera and for a very reasonable price stay at the Lolli Palace in San Remo.
The hotel is convenientely located between the luxurious gardens of the Royal Palace hotel and the impressive Casino surrounded by thousands of flowers and next door to the historical San Basilio Russian Church.
Cross the street and you will have access to the beaches ( public or private) and the new bicycle path that joins San remo to San Lorenzo and Arma di Taggia. Dont forget to walk to San Remo's shopping district and enjoy the famous \"mercato\" market every Tuesday and Saturday morning.

Wir haben uns im Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sauber. Das Personal war immer und überall äußerst freundlich. Das Hotel lag direkt an der Innenstadt und war somit gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Parken geht in der Hotelgarage, hier sollte man in der Hauptsaison unbedingt vorher reservieren. Alles in allem würden wir hier wieder übernachten

Albergo stile liberty molto bello esternamente con interni luminosi e ben ristrutturati. Davanti al mare, con pochi passi si è davanti al Casinò e nella zona pedonale. Una pulizia dei locali perfetta, colazione varia e veramente di qualità. Camere comode, ben arredate… direi che la presentazione quasi sottovaluta la bellezza reale della struttura
