Good! Could be even better

Generally good, as expected from Novotel standards. Few things could be improved: broken plug and bedlight (announced from the first day, but nothing happened), the smell of the carpet on our floor was old and not welcoming.

Great value but no AC

Novotel is a sure value. Well located for meetings in the area or a pit stop at the beach. It was my 4th time staying at this hotel and I usually have no issues to report. This time however, it was really hot outside. Knowing that I consulted the website to ensure there was AC in the room. The website indicates that there is, however. There was none ! I did not sleep well (one night not at all!), due to the heat I am leaving slightly disappointed!

The hotel was good , all the staff were nice except one lady (her name is Tiffany ) she was so rude and not friendly at all , her attitude was very bad and I was so upset and couldn’t stand her being rude to me and to my husband. Special thanks to Mekanzi who dealt with the problem and helped me to solve the confusion. All over I enjoyed staying in the hotel.

Safe and secure good value.

Fantastic room and facilities with the executive room with robes and goodies included in the Fridge.

Espresso machine was dirty and faulty which was a shame.

Nice hotel for strictly business purpose

Great service from the staff at the lobby but the housekeeping, not so. I don’t know if it’s their policy not to provide toiletries everyday but I believe, at the very least, toothbrush and toothpaste should be automatically provided everyday.

No nearby stores or restaurants. Nearest is about a 7 to 10-minute walk.

Breakfast is the same everyday.

Tram station is about 5-7 minute away.

Very convenient

Stayed here while attending a conference at the World Forum. It was extremely convenient! The hotel was under renovation so less services than normal but I still enjoyed breakfast. Would have liked a little more diversity of choices over the week.

Stayed for 3 nights 1st to 4th of September. Individual rooms, but travelled with 4 friends (to get a second parkrun Z...!)
The hotel is located in the diplomatic area of the city. With a short walk of a tram stop, and Rotterdam is a short train ride away. We found getting the 3 day Pass worked well for us, as we mostly used the trams.
The hotel was clean and bright, with a shop in the lobby, where one could buy hot and cold drinks and snacks.
All staff I met were helpful and friendly.
I’d like to particularly mention Mirjam on Reception, who was very kind to me. And the team of domestic staff who ensured my room was spotless.

Only the slippery bath enamel!

My one concern was with the slippery bath enamel and needing to use \"grab bars\" that were not designed for the purpose. Perhaps a roll-up mat could be provided to guests to use as they please?

Great location and easy to access by public transit. Our biggest issue was that we were in an accessible room which had a spare door in the bathroom which you’re unable to lock from the inside (likely for emergency situations), but one night the door was opened by staff ( we were told accidentally) at 5 in the morning which made us feel a bit unsafe given that anyone could access the room at any time. The staff at the front didn’t address it directly but when we did they did apologize but just something to be mindful of if you get a similar room.

Friendly, convenient, safe, comfortable rooms. However ... the doors are constantly slamming shut which makes for a noisy experience if you hope to sleep. Also, the shower is quite slippery when wet and should either be replaced with a non-slip texture or have a rubber bath mat as option.

Very well located between in a modern and quiet area. The staff is accommodating and friendly, and the rooms are spacious. The hotel, though, looks much more stylish on the website than in reality. The parking is also more expensive than what's announced on the website. And there is no other option for parking a car as public parking along the street is not possible. So count 45€ extra per day.

Our stay at Novotel Den Haag World Forum was very nice. The reception staff was very friendly and helped us accessing the parking when there was an issue the parking appeared full. We had a party on the beach and the reception staff helped us find the right address for taxi drop off. The hotel room was large and comfortable with a much appreciated Nespresso machine. We would book the hotel again without a doubt.

Can you call this a 4 star hotel?

If you are a family never even think of this place... tiny lobby with a single sofa, no room service, no restaurant serving food, the hotel is away from any shops in a offices and massive conference halls zone. If it is a weekend, it’s a ghost town.
Misleading images from hotels.com. Beach is around good 10-15 minute drive. Parking costs 30 euros. Cheaper business hotels or a cheapest B &B will do everything definitely better than this place.
This is a just a business hotel which doesn’t have any facilities for a leisure guests other a bed and a shower. There are so many amazing places to stay in this beautiful city. So don’t make the same mistake like us.

Easy to access by car from major roads. No shops in direct vicinity but they sell drinks and snacks at reception. Make sure you park in parking 1 and not 2 because you otherwise have to walk all around the forum building with your suitcases in the rain.

The property is located conveniently close to the exit-roads and nearby the trams to the cities. A short walk will get you to a tram station. At the front desk you can obtain tickets for the tram and generally speaking the staff is nice.

The disappointing thing is I reviewed the several options in the area and decided for this hotel as it boasts a gym, sauna and activity room for the kids. The site however does not mention the gym opens at 7 and you have to pay an additional fee to use the installations (I left the hotel around 7, so no use for the gym / sauna). The activity room had disappeared and no alternatives were offered. I have requested the hotel to get back to me on this, yet to no avail. The continuous presentation of the hotel on the TV in the lobby still shows the activity room, clearly misinforming the guests.

Great Hotel

Very pleasant experience. Check in and check out was smooth and hassle free. Room was very clear and had everything we needed. The cleaning lady was super friendly and great with our kids which made us very happy. The Pier and seaside is only a few stops away by tram and the tram stop is like 4mins walk away so very ideal. Only downside is there isn't much to do near the hotel and not many places to eat unless you go towards the centre or towards the beachside.

This is really a great place to stay -- excellent location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great views from the room. Excellent transport links nearby and very well placed for shopping and browsing, as well as walking distance from many places of interest. BUT (and this is a big BUT), breakfasts were not included and they were horrendously expensive, especially in my case as I only need tea and toast in the morning, and maybe a bit of cereal. Paying nearly 20 Euros for this privilege, because I wasn't up to walking to a cafe in the freezing morning cold felt really unfair. There should be a way one could get a simple Continental breakfast without paying so much. Otherwise, this is a really great place to stay. Oh, and, we just loved the lifts with their glass backs and breathtaking views of the city!

The Novotel was a real disappointment. It was not nearly as nice as it looked in the photos. The rooms are pretty barebones.The beds and pillows were surprisingly uncomfortable. The staff was surprisingly unhelpful. To top it all off, they charge 10 euros per hour for late checkout...no exceptions.

Friendly staff; clean, spacious, an newer room. But early checking fee at 10:00 of €15 when the room was available + no hot water on Sunday morning was unacceptable. FD Team did Refund €15 early checkin fee when I thought I should not have paid that anyways and 1/2 of the room price should be discounted. Hot water for a show is a necessity.

The hotel is spacious and is good for a family of four. Have a 16 and 13 years old. The breakfast is so-so. Coffee cups weren't big enough. The food was put out too long. I wouldn't recommend the 16 euros, other than the kids are included. The cleaning staff forgot to remove our dirty dishes was making the beds. So, what I'm saying is that the staff is nice but the details aren't there.

If you are planning on staying as a family, you might want to look elsewhere. We had booked a family room, but had to request on arrival in the room for the room to become family-ready, as there was no bed or bedding ready for our children. Once we made the hotel staff aware of this, we were made to feel like we were putting them out to have our room family-ready. Not great service for £120.

Nadelen: licht versleten kamers, matig instelbare airconditioning, druk rond de iets te dicht op elkaar geplaatste koffie/theeautomaten. Voordelen: schone kamer, rest van het ontbijt biedt veel keuze en is ruim opgezet, is ook lekker. Aardig tot mooi uitzicht op de hogere etages, rustige wijk (ons bezoek was in het weekend), goed beddegoed, grote televisie, voldoende opbergmogelijkheden voor bagage in de kasten.
