Beautiful city, beautiful hotel - but what made our stay exceptional was the kindness and friendly interaction from Ugnemir at the front desk who guided us on major points of interest in the city. We would have said 5/5 stars but with her thoughtfulness we would say 8/5 stars. Incredible and Awesome stay ! Would highly recommend this property.

No soap suitable for washing faces — liquid soap okay for hands but stings eyes. Housekeeping could be improved— we had to ask for things like towels that were removed in the morning but not replaced. Maintenance also needs improvement — small repairs were needed in our room.

The hotel is a little bit dated. The bathrooms need a bit of work. The iron did not work. The hairdryer was great. Having said that, the service was really fantastic. They brought me a new iron quickly. I had a fridge in the room. They were able to loan me an electric adaptor. The hamburger in the restaurant was delicious. The wine prices at the bar were reasonable. I would stay again.

Only let down was the outdated bathroom that’s in need of a refurbishment. Bath shower and taps are all old and out of date. The bath towels are far too small. The complimentary tea coffee should be updated too.

One of the best hotels we have ever been in.
There was a restaurant, which helped a lot.
Internet was really good.

Room service was good.

I only would loved to have a variety in the breakfast. We stayed there for almost more than a week and there was not much of a variety.

The other thing I would love to have in the bathroom was bar soap and also a holder for it.

A bathtub in some of the room would also be a plus.

An excellent property offers very comfortable, spacious and clean rooms. The hotel provides gorgeous view of the sea and located close to tram and other amenities. The hotel staff were amazingly helpful. At the reception Chris, was so friendly to give you professional tips about the city and the property.The continental breakfast choice including freshly sliced fruits were satisfying and the restaurant team members also very attentive.

The excecutive lounge at the 9th floor is cozy and provides an excellent view of the neighborhood and the beach. The lounge has wine, beer and sodas including snacks.
Enjoyed my stay at this property. Thanks, will visit soon.

The hotel overall looked nice from a good front desk team. However I was very disappointed with the House Keeping service. The sheets were not changed despite requesting them 4 times in the Front Desk. We have even left the sheets on the floor so they change it, but they just put the same sheets again from the floor. I had even requested to just provide me with the sheets so I can put myself even then the sheets were not changed. Finally, on our last day the Supervisor came herself to change the sheets but it was time for us to leave anyways in 12 hours. The shower gel was not refilled in the 6 days we stayed and it was over already. We had requested for that as well. Seems like a very Unhappy HouseKeeping team that does not want to maintain the repute of the Marriott Hotels.

Breakfast was good, but the same every day. Scrambled eggs made from powder. It tastes like soap. In a hotel like Marriott and for such a price, I would expect breakfast with fresh eggs! The service did not offer omelets from the kitchen, you had to ask the waiters. I skipped breakfast.There was no mineral water in the rooms and you had to buy it at the reception. The service at the bar was very good. Very nice rooms and comfortable bed.

Elevators had a wilder night than I did

I had a mixed experience at the Marriott in The Hague. The staff was fantastic, incredibly helpful throughout my stay. However, I was disappointed to find that the elevators were dirty, with one even having a concerning issue involving blood. Additionally, the unpleasant odor of what seemed like raw sewage in the elevators was a significant drawback to an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Never staying in a Marriot again

Firstly, parking. You have to get a ticket from the barrier (but it doesn't always work) so you then have to argue with reception via intercom to open the gate because you are literally waiting on the road blocking the bike lane, causing an obstruction. This happened to us upon entry into the car park. After we got our ticket from reception we could come and go as we pleased but even then coming back into the car park was a challenge each time - i had to help the cars in front of me figure it out because they took so long a queue formed across the road blocking traffic on one of the busiest roads in The Hague. There are also minimal spaces & it's expensive!

Secondly, you have to wait a significant amout of time to check in (& out) because it's a large hotel with minimal staff on the front desk.

Thirdly, our room heating didn't work, the shower pressure was very low making washing long hair a challenge, and the safe was broken.

Fourthly, I asked for a vanity kit (just a couple of cotton wool pads to use to remove my make-up) and I was told I'd have to buy an entire pack of cotton wool - what happened to offering this as part of your room?!

And finally, the staff were down right rude. Upon check-out, when it was finally my turn I walked up to the desk and someone else (who pushed in) did the same. I challenged the other person & showed them the queue & not only did they ignore me the staff on the desk ignored me too...he didn't even acknowledge my existance!

Awesome stay. Check-in experience phenomenal. The hotel rep, Virginie, explained everything about hotel, local attractions & deals, corrected an error on Hotels.com reservation, helped getting tram passes, and even gave small gift/trinket for kids. Family suite & accommodations were excellent & beyond expectation. Staff very friendly. Breakfast outstanding with tons of choices. Would definitely pick this place next time in area.

Mosquitos in the hotel

As a frequent traveller, staying in hotels is a norm for me and I have never stay at anywhere lower than 4 stars. However this is the first time I experienced mosquitos bugging my sleep the entire night, and I have travelled to places that are normally infested with mosquitos. I did not expect to have experienced mosquitos in the cold climate’s The Hague. It is down to poorly managed ventilation/cleanliness of the hotel. It is a disappointing stay for somewhere like Marriott.

I had an enjoyable stay. I was caught off guard when I arrived the night of check-in to find the parking lot full. I had to park at the hotel next door that was about a 5 minute walk. Luckily I didn't have to pay for the parking at the hotel next door and I was able to move my car the next day when spots were available. Breakfast was also good and the hotel overall was nice with friendly staff. I would recommend.

Very enjoyable stay, great view, all you could need in the room. No bath, which is probably an eco thing. Rubbery mattress protector made the bed a little uncomfortable, but necessary for expense account drinkers maybe. Food and wine in the bar was very nice, decent value too. Kettle, fridge etc in the room, but only a single TEA bag (Chamomile, mint etc. Is NOT Tea). I guess they would give you a few Teabags more at reception though, really nice people. It would be great if Hotels left the smart casting features on their TVs enabled, so I could stream my local TV from my phone to it. Recommended.

Hotel & overall experience sub par to my previous experience with Marriot hotels. Albeit very friendly staff, our check in took about 30-45min long (as they were not find our reservations..). The hotel rooms and bathroom are in dire need of updating. But the cherry on the top was the very poor/ horrible breakfast experience. Ofc due to Covid-19 things had to be adjusted (buffet not available etc); this doesn’t however excuses the staff unresponsiveness and the complete lack of service. Not only we were not Informed that other food options were available, but we also didn’t receive a menu nor explanations as to what was available. Basic things as cutlery or toasters weren’t available... I asked for toasted bagel and after a long 15min waiting the bagel came back as it left. Overall 👎

Special attention has been paid to the lighting possibilities in the room, which shows that design of the room was made thinking in the comfort of the guests. The staff was awesome. Extremely helpful and accommodating. More than willing to help us out when they could. All of them spoke fantastic English. They were all Very Attentive and welcoming. We bothered them for recommendations on where to eat (Superb recommendations), help getting taxis and directions around the area many times and they always seemed genuine and respectful.

The rooms are smaller than what most Americans are probably be used to, but for sizes of rooms I have been in around Europe, they were great.

The one problem was the A/C. Either they didn’t have any and the thermostat was there just to make you feel better, or it was broken. I don’t feel the A/C was simply broken though since we were there with a large group spread across many rooms and the lack of A/c seemed to be a common complaint amongst our group. To Help out, the front desk found us all fans and sent them up to our rooms, between the fans and the little bit the windows would open, we were able to stay comfortable.

Place was clean. It took very long to check in. After one hour in the room, staff walked in to my room asking for the extra bed they had put in my room. Very unprofessional. Ran out of shaving cream in the morning and it took them over 30 min to bring some to the room. Parking in their premises is expensive and no other options near the hotel. Overall stay was less than stellar.

Superb staff! From our arrival, it was clear that there is some excellent customer service training going on here and it never faulted for the four days of our stay. The rooms are comfortable but as with many, very little space for luggage. Excellent breakfast both in the executive lounge and in the main dining room. The restaurant was good value. Free soup in reception late afternoon on a bitterly cold day was a nice touch.

Good hotel near the Worldforum.

Checkin was swift and efficient.
The room was clean apart from a couple hairs on the bathroom floor. Some minor stains on walls and carpet. The room had a minibar, safe and coffee/making facilities and even had a window that could be opened partially. The airco was quiet.
I did not come by car, but the there seemed to be plenty of parking spaces in the secured car park.

Buffet breakfast on weekdays offers a good choice. Choice seemed somewhat less on Saturday morning. Lots of bread varieties. The fruit juices impressed as somewhat diluted. The coffee machine produced a decent cappucino.

I had a problem with the iron making a stain on my white shirt. However the hotel send my shirt to the cleaners and will be mailing it to me by post. The iron and ironing board were replaced within a few minutes of having raised the issue.
