First impressions: dingy, cramped, the smell of weed or smoke wafting in. It seemed like a place for a college student to flop down for the night; or for aficionados of Frida Kahlo. Pluses: It is located in a spot for cafes. Bear the river for easy navigation. We had a room that did not have 26 stairs. There was bottled water and snacks/breakfast in the room.

Had a 2 night stay in this gem. The location is perfect in the heart of Trastevere We love to be in the center of it all, restaurants, shops, music, fun! The room was decorated beautifully and super comfortable, bathroom with amenities and shower stall with excellent water pressure. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Local area was actually OK and not different to many other parts of Rome we saw. Restaurant outside the property was noisy until late and then also disposed of bottles loudly at 4am during our stay.
Breakfast area was pleasant and staff were responsive in fixing shower issues. Bed could have easily been better. It was actually a lovely little place to stay and well located for exploring Rome.

Simply perfect

My wife and I stayed at Ventisei Scalini a Trastevere for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable.

Despite never meeting in person, Lucia was a wonderful host and we couldn't have asked for more. We were late arriving but gaining entry was simple and straightforward. We had far more than we needed for breakfast including fruit juices, tea and two different types of coffee. Being on the ground floor we also benefited from a small outside space, perfect for the two of us.

The location was ideal. We were a short walk from the Tiber, which was great to stroll alongside of an evening, and if anyone was looking for a little more nightlife, the main restaurants in Trastevere were a short walk in the other direction. On our first day we bought tickets to use on the metro but didn't get on it once. If you're happy to wander you can easily reach all of the main \"tourist\" sites. We walked to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Castel Sant'Angelo and St Peter's Square and Basilica and so much more.

We cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favour and book a long weekend. You won't regret it.

The host was a very nice man, we were told all the direction ahead of the visit and we were met with great hospitality. Only thing I’d change is maybe having more availability to talk to someone in charge of the B&B, is something we’re to go wrong. We had a clogged sink and as soon as we told the manager he had the cleaner clean it out and we were all set. We overall liked our stay here.

This was a very good value for the price. I stayed in the Sogni room. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The room themes give a personal touch. Lucia, Michele and the staff were very hospitable.

I was only in Rome for 2 days and this was a super convenient option. It is an adorable neighborhood with a variety of great food and drink options around every corner.

5-10 minutes walk to bus stops. Close to Isola Tiberina and the Jewish Ghetto across the river. 15 minutes walk to Piazza Navona.

My spouse and I stayed a couple of nights at this property in Trastevere.It was a wonderful stay as the unit was quiet,clean and very close to the shopping and eating area of Trastavere.We walked to all our booked historical sites and even to our Termini station.The check in went smooth and Lucia was there to meet us as planned.We had breakfast and snack items in our fridge and also located in the main eating area were more breakfast items waiting for us.It is a continental breakfast..We felt safe and very comfortable in our room.We would definitely stay there again.

The only complaint we had was our towels were not drying so we put them on the floor after the second night to get clean towels, but did not get them. Also, we were supposed to have wine in our room when we arrived and we didn’t get that either. But you could not beat this area!

It was very noisy in the night, with garbage trucks and people shouting in the street with disregard for people sleeping nearby. (Easter weekend) As women travelling, we did feel safe staying here-everything locked up tight and Mike the attendant present and helpful. Spraying faucet needs repair. Room super clean.

Pros: The Ventisei is in a great location in the Trastavere neighborhood. Lots of restaurants and bars and gelateria and a very social vibe. Easy to walk to other parts of Rome from the place. Miguel was extremely friendly and let me in early and showed me around the place, which I appreciated. The bed was comfortable and I loved making my own coffee in the room. I liked sitting outside with my coffee on the tiny terrace. The price of the bed and breakfast was very reasonable.

Cons: There is a restaurant right next door and it was noisy at night so if you're an early bird like me, it's not quiet. People who like to stay up would probably not mind this. The breakfast was processed snack foods which I didn't eat. In the fridge was juice boxes, yogurts, milk, some cheese and 2 water bottles which I enjoyed.

While the room we occupied had been renovated recently, the breakfast part of B&B is misleading. Breakfast consisted of some pastries in cellphane, juice boxes (2) and some cereals and breads in a small common area. We did not see a staff person after check-in.
The property is on a small alley and is difficult to locate.
The room was clean and quiet.

Area was convenient close to restaurants in the heart of Trastevere. I had a back room so luckily did not hear loud street noise. Bed was not bad and AC (in the bedroom only) was very good. Shower was not consistent at times would come out very cold for several seconds and then warm up again. Breakfast not great, who wants instant coffee in Rome! And first day it was brown bananas and the end of a pound cake. These are shared with two neighboring rooms all sharing the small kitchen area. Warning there are 2 flights of steep stairs so need to be in shape to drag up luggage. Overall I think overpriced for what it was but good if had a budget price.

The breakfast offered was a very small selection of mass produced items you might find in a convenience store. Shower head broke on day 1 and they taped it together. The tape held but you had to lean against the wall tho get under the water. When we arrived we were told 4 times in about a minute to “ be sure to lock the door”. He was referring to the outer door exit onto the street. Then when we returned at the end of the door our outer exit back door was unsecured left by housekeeping as I checked it when we left. Worst accommodation in our 7 stops in Europe.
