I was disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price so we didn't eat on property. No restaurant on site but a bar grill and order style. HOWEVER, the outside sitting area was beautiful, quiet , somewhat secluded because we had a large crowd and could be loud at times so we were glad that no other guests were disturbed. The staff were EXCELLENT , professional, super helpful, always available.

Shower did not have safety parameters - no safety strips on shower floor, no handles or places to grip or hold while entering or exiting the show. With a slippery shower floor, I fell inside the shower, injured my back, and got a gash in my leg on the shin. I’m still recovering.

The hotel had the perfect location, vibe, staff and options to choose from. Had they not lost the key to cook breakfast that I paid for I would have given them a 5 star review. I couldn't be reimbursed because I booked through a third party. ( it was on the 21st that breakfast wasn't ready)

Very out dated bathrooms in the room. The shower didn’t drain so the bathtub filled up while taking a shower. The beds felt like sleeping on a sheet of plywood. We were very disappointed due to the price of the stay for two nights and the quality of what we paid for.

I never write reviews, but this Marriott was the dirtiest Marriott I have ever stayed in. I will not stay there again. The shower was cracked. Several things were rusted and it looks like the ceiling was going to cave.

Cons: Very strong carpet/bathroom cleaner and/or air freshener smell in lobby. Room smelled moldy. Bed was uncomfortable, felt like sofa bed mattress. Hot water in shower was “warm” at best. Very limited food hours. On site restaurant not open for lunch.
Pros: AC worked great, pillows were comfortable.

Didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting. Our room 401 was newly redecorated with fresh paint, carpet, modern lighting and was clean throughout. Tub was dated. Across the street from the Gulf of MEXICO. No complimentary breakfast but they did offer a cooked to order from the menu for a fee. I would definitely stay here again. 9/18/25 for 3 nights.

I have enjoyed better stays at La Quinta for far less and they include breakfast. This is not what I expected when I booked a Marriott hotel. I was very disappointed with this hotel. My wife asked me to book a different hotel once we arrived but I didn’t want to lose the money I paid for our room

The first room was smelly. We requested a new room and got one but it was just as bad. They tried to cover it up with spray.
The two double beds were not the same. One corner of one bed was sticking up. Bathroom had mold. No shower gel or shampoo.

PROs... location was very good... walking distance or a short drive to many attractions. CONs... The condition of and cleanliness of rooms left a ? in my head.... I saw a toilet brush tossed onto the carpet outside the bathroom door by on of the cleaning personnel, the towel rack came out of the wall when my wife attempted to put a towel on it. The main thing was that we reserved and handicap/ accessible room and none were available for our mother.....We made do, but it was challenging to make it work....We wished the bar stayed open a little later but understand how that can be challenging... Having said that, the bartender and front desk staff were excellent.

The lobby was beautiful but it did not match the aesthetic of the room. The hallways smelled old. It was super warm in the hallways and it was 90° outside. They took towels and replaced them with fewer towels than we had. The phone wasn’t even connected. No cord at all.

Had a good view across the water to Ship Island with binoculars.You can see the fort with binoculars during the daytime.I had a problem getting my room. Rooms was not ready at checking in 3:00pm. I told them we was going shopping at the mall and was not going to room right then.They gave me a room and keycard said room would be ready when I get back. Came back at 7pm and room was not cleaned, had to get another room.Apparently they don’t have enough help to take care of the cleaning of rooms daily.

Everybody there was super friendly and we were able to check in TWO hours early, which was amazing. Right across the street from the beach, pool was in good condition. The room quality was okay, it was very quiet but the AC leaked water which soaked the carpet around the unit, mildew in the bathroom and broken tiles.

First I would like to commend the staff at the hotel. They were all friendly and hospitable. The issue i have is I booked this motel based entirely for the location to the beach and the 4th of July celebration. On the 4th around 1 pm the motel parking lot started filling with locals by 5 pm there where no parking spots available but still more vehicles kept coming virtually locking in the parking lot. Several hundred locals filled the front of the property with canopies grills blocking off actual guests of the motel. The high rates for a holiday was expected for the 2 days my family was there. What also was expected was some amount of privacy on private property i was spending a large amount of money to expect. The entire parking lot was a mad house with families from locals who where allowed to roam the property and block actual guests who also paid large amounts of money to stay on the property. Afterwards trash covered the grounds. This is not what we paid to experience or should be expected. The swimming pool was filled with people not actual guests. This is not acceptable Your guests should be the priority. I did not complain to the employees because this is a management issue. Afterwards me and my family left and returned home because the party outside felt near chaos.

Later that night, I was in the room alone, thankfully I had used the extra lock on the door. The front desk had checked someone else in to our room and they were trying to come in.

I sent a message to hotel that flight arrived early in morning asked for early checkin. When we arrived at hotel was told to come back at 4 pm. When we came back at 4 there was a line that took an hour to check in. Got a room that toilet wouldn’t flush and was dirty. Moved to moldy room

I can say I won’t be staying here again. The toilet in our room wouldn’t flush, kept having to fill up the back with water. Informed the “general manager” only to be told “I have no other room for you- I didn’t ask for another room I asked if someone can look at the toilet- again was told “we have no maintenance person to call” so I said okay well what can we do- I’ll comp you the lady said, asked the room number and wasn’t very kind. When we went to check out the sweetest girl working the desk checked to see if we had actually been comped like the “manager” said and we had no so she fixed that for us.

Pool was nice n large. Very nice girl in Bristo. Had plumbing problems in our room. Manager addressed those issues quickly. Upgraded us to new room, with pool view. Worst are that needs help is front desk. Poor customer service. Called hotel after returning home was put on hold not once but twice, for over 15 minutes each time and no one ever picked up phone to talk to me. I had left something in room and was going to see if they found item and get item mailed to me. I would stay here again but hotel needs better service at front desk. Hotel room was spacious, but needed deep cleaning , especially in bathroom but room was comfortable.

I just hope that they need to add ADA for example, the rooms need flashing doorbell signaler for deaf or Hard of Hearing. I want to start with the staff was wonderful for everything. The hotel itself could use some big updates, however. We were in a room on the 5th floor and our carpet felt damp at all times. The ice machines were broken on floors 3, 4, & 5. The toilet flushed very slowly and sometimes needed to be flushed more than once. The conditioner that was attached to the wall flew off the wall when I tried to use it. The television had to be turned off for a \"reboot\" twice. There was a strong smell of air freshener in the hotel lobby, and cigarette butts around the fire pit. The outdoor pool was very nice, but the pool's bathroom the light in the ladies room was out so it was very dark and there were no paper towels. But the staff was very friendly and the servers at the restaurant/bar (Beau, and some others) were incredibly accommodating to my husband and our 2 kids. Overall, we'd probably stay there again but the hotel could sure use some TLC from Marriot. They have the right people working there but it needs a big refresh and repairs.

The first night I arrived we were awake with the fire department banging on the door. We had to evacuate the building after 1am. Then the system was down for the remainder of the visit. I was attempting to stay an additional night…… NO WAY TO BOOK! My expectations were much higher for such a beautiful property. Left a message for GM NEVER A RESPONSE.
