Agus at front desk was superb. He made my check in so smooth, and upgraded my room. Agus checked in many times to ensure my stay was comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff, our flight reached at 7 :15 am
We were able take a trip to Bukit Lawang at the same day, did jungle tracking and came back to the hotel same day, everything was possible, because of friendly and cooperative hotel staff, they room was excellent, nice view from the top floor, breakfast was excellent, we loved our stay.

Impeccable service but hotel needs upgrading.

The room is big and comfy for 3 adults. All of us slept like babies even though our room was facing the main road. Service was impeccable. However, the hotel badly needs a renovation esp in the pool and jacuzzi. It was extremely stuffy in the executive lounge, making the experience unbearable. It would be great to leave the drinks menu on the table. Spa experience was great but needs to change the floor tiles in the room.

Everything was great. We really liked the location close to mall in walk distance which allowed us to grab quick meal or groceries for room. The hotel airport transfers and day trip car booking was superb. Room was big and clean. Staff was friendly. View of city from Room Was epic. Only complain was fridge was not working. There is also bit of issue with shower knobs slightly confusing until you figure out.

The hotel would have been magnificent in its day; however is now due a little TLC, especially in communal areas, as looking a bit tired. Staff however were exceptional (and pool is one of the best at any hotel I have ever stayed).

The rate online was different than what was paid at the hotel. The design of the room is outdated. I was promised to be on the top floor with the city view, but I received the back of the hotel view—the high costly laundry charge for only a few T-shirts and underwear. The gym equipment was dated. I would not re-book this hotel for my upcoming trip.

The staff from the second we arrived to when we left were all amazing! They helped unload our bags and get them to the room, check in was so quick and they helped us with express laundry as we had to left the following day! The restaurant staff had amazing suggestions for breakfast and gave us many samples of local Indonesian dishes we could try!
If we come back to Medan, this will be the definite place we will plan to stay at!

The room was so hot. They sent people to fix the AC but it’s Only cooling for the most 1/2 day. Even the Jade restaurant was warm. It seems like no AC in the hotel. We’re disappointed and found cooling place at the mall across the street. The Services were nice but the heat was unbearable. Thanks.

Best hotel in Medan. We enjoyed our stay so much. The staff was wonderful and the hotel facilities are fantastic - the spa pools are wonderful.

We also had the best sleep here out of all the hotels we stayed at in Medan and wished we stayed here more nights.Convenient location with a huge mall just diagonally across the road too.

If we ever return to Medan, we will definitely stay here

Namun untuk qualitas rasa makanan room service sangat tidak sesuai dengan harga yang di bayarkan . Masih ingat pas tahun 2018 saya check in di JW Pesen makanan room service sangat worth it bebeda dengan kulitas makanan saat ini . Mungkin dapat di tingkatkan dan di perbaharui agar customer nyaman memesan makanan di hotel daripada harus membeli di luar saat staycation di hotel . dan untuk kebijakan kolam renang selama pandemi sangat di sayangkan hanya boleh 30 menit per orang rasanya kurang menikmati mungkin kalau 1 jam per orang masih lebih baik. Tapi Overall Staycation kali ini cukup berkesan , sampai jumpa di lain waktu lagi .

I like most of the wall hanging decorations all over the hotel
Although I prefer a classic style interior designs, but the modern look of the hotel was okay.

Nice location in the middle of the city with unparalleled views all around. Staff were friendly and willing to help when approached. Toilet had a leak somewhere water kept pooling around the toilet bowl. Drainage wasn't too efficient either kept having water puddling in the shower area. Card readers in the lift were temperamental, sometimes taking several swipes before it acknowledges you.

We stayed at the Marriott in Medan for 3 nights in October. The whole trip was to celebrate my husband's 74th birthday. So, we requested a special room with a bath tub in the window. We were delighted that our request was met. We had a gorgeous spacious room with great views over the city and the bath just as we had asked for. After check-in, we were delighted when a lovely personalised birthday cake arrived. Our room also had access to the Business Lounge where drinks and snacks were served every evening. This was really most enjoyable.
However, the best experience was on the Saturday, when my husband wanted to watch England playing in the Rugby World Cup Final. It was not showing on Fox TV. So, the only way we could see it was to stream it to a computer in the business lounge. This proved to be very complicated, but we were very kindly assisted by the Director of Rooms - Mr I Made Yuda Adnyana. He spent a lot of time with us getting this done - way above the call of duty. Indeed he took the whole exercise as a personal challenge and a learning point for the hotel.He was successful and we watched the match with some other guests - unfortunately England lost! We met Yuda several times in the course of our stay and have to say that our interaction with him with his kindness and cheerful character was one of the highlights of our stay in Medan. We would also like to mention other helpful staff - Charles (Concierge) and Merry (Business Lounge).We highly recommend this hotel.

Im so grateful that Rhita managed to arrange the wonderful surprise for my partner on my recent stay there. Merry was really helpful by recommending us where to have good food. Overall the service wad beyond excellent. Breakfast was also fantastic and i wish i have more than 1 stomach to have their breakfast. Highly recommended. Do not think twice already as this hotel is somewhere i will return ti again if i come to medan.

Hotel is nice, the only problem that bothers me is when we enter the hotel main door to lobby there is a security screening, the screening is worst then Airport screening, whenever we enter the hotel there is a screening almost everything. Sometimes the security is very rude. This make the guest feel uneasy.

I think the property is about 11 years old so it may be in need of a refurb, particularly in the common areas. A bit run down or dull especially when compared to other JW's. Wifi is problematic. Strong signal but configuration means that some devices have problems. Otherwise great property with wonderfully friendly staff. Highly recommended.

I was not staying long in hotel. Had 2 room booked for me and indonesian family.
The hotel as such is very clean and tidy and service is good.
Swinng pool are very fine.
The area around hotel is not so attractive.
The most dissappointing is that one of my guest had a morning cigaret (non smoker room) and I was actually asked to pay 1.000.000 for this - considering it was one cigaret in a bathroom day on departing I thought there could have been room for politeness and an escuse instead a quite offensive attitue.
Well knowing this I will consider my future stays in Medan.
Want of course to apoligise for the non permitted smoking, but some flexibility from hotel would have been appreciated.

Stayed at a high floor. Woke up and fell asleep to the Medan sprawl- there's something oddly beautiful in the soft (thanks to the thick window glass) honking and beeping of street-level traffic.

The decor of my room was old school- carpeted and orange. Impeccable room service!

A beautiful hotel with lovely staff!

We stayed here for 2 nights before travelling to Bukit Lawang. The hotel was amazing! On arriving at 2am after travelling for 36 hours, we were nicely upgraded to a better room! Our room was beautiful, with a lovely view of the city. The air-con was great and allowed us to recover quickly from jet lag! The hotel staff were such lovely people, always helping in any way that they could! The breakfast was very nice, as was the dinner! The gym was also very good. We had a lovely stay here and if we were to pass through Medan again, we would be sure to stay here!
