My stay at Camplus was excellent. The rooms was spacious and the staff helped me with everything I needed. It is a modern building in comparison to the rest of the buildings in Bologna. Although it is more like a students residential the service were of a very good quality.

First of all, our biggest complaint was the room temperature. It was 77 degrees the entire time, and we complained several times. When I spoke to someone downstairs, they told me the AC gets shut off when the summer is over but it made our sleeping experience a nightmare. The staff was excellent, very polite and friendly. To be clear, this is NOT a hotel, it’s university housing and completely rundown. The condition of the housing is terrible, however, the room had a very clean bathroom, towels and bedding. The floors in the room were pretty gross but it was a big room. I wouldn’t stay here again. The pictures look extremely different than the rooms do in person. I will say that the included breakfast was outstanding. It was delicious! The location was also not convenient, we don’t mind taking public transportation but even that was a pain in the butt as the walk was long and inconvenient. We took Ubers each night back home. It’s a very cheap, no extras accommodation. This was not the place for my partner and I.

The place is comfortable and convenient to local bus and train routes. We were disappointed that we could not sleep well. Our room was over 26 C (79 F), and we were told that we could not turn on the air conditioning yet. We tried opening the windows, but there was too much street noise. The hotel did not seem crowded. I don't understand why, if they know we required opened windows to cool the room, they would put us on the street side on the top (and warmest) floor.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Camplus site in Bologna. I must say, we were a little confused when we arrived, because I didn’t realize it was an actual dormitory when I booked it. However, it was the most comfortable dorm I ever stayed in. The sleeping room did not feel like a dormitory. The cafeteria food was great. I would recommend Camplus to other travelers.

A good location not far from the center, the train station, or the \"Fiera\" district, with bus service nearby. Staff were outstanding - very helpful and friendly. On site \"self service\" cafeteria was really convenient and the food was quite good. Room was sparse but had the essentials. The only real negative was that the acoustics (no carpets or rugs anyway, heavy metallic doors) meant a lot of noise from the halls echoed loudly into the rooms.

Okay for just one short night

Front desk staff very helpful. This was basically a dorm room. I guess I did not read the desription of the property as closely as I should have. Twin bed. Mold in the shower. No safe in the room.

A bit noisy in the hallway late at night with the local college kids.

Okay for just one short night. I would not recommend for more than 1 night.

It was close to the local train station, but couldnt figure out how to get a ticket at that train station since there were no self service machines. It is about a 30-45 minute walk into the city. Surronding areas were clean and nice. The room itself was nice, the shower is tiny and our double bed was just two twins beds put together which ended up splitting over night.

A fabulous modern hotel

This is a lovely hotel. It has all the requirements for modern travel. I think it houses students during term, but doubles up nicely as a conference centre and is perfect for a city break if you are not involved in academia. It is bright modern and feels spacious even if the rooms are small enough. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with daily housekeeping. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and the food very nice.

The staff were courteous and helpful and were happy to give advice to tourist new to Bolonga and the region. There was only one small thing it was about 2kms from the city centre, about half an hour if you intend walking.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Very comfortable and well managed accommodation

Welcoming, recently built and in excellent condition. A bit further from city centre than we had thought. But v comfortable, excellent breakfast, helpful staff who coped with our Italian and spoke perfect English. It was expensive for a university hall, however posh, but I think that was because we booked so late and through an agency. Bologna is a wonderful city (and a great university) and I would recommend this to anyone - so long as you book in good time.

Conference at University of Bologna

I chose the hotel because it was in walking distance to some of the conference venues which happened at the University of Bologna and offered seemingly nice single rooms. I chose Expedia because this time the same rooms were cheaper than Booking.com. On arrival, the whole complex with sports terrains seemed nice, the building is a modern one with a special feel to it, especially when lit-up at night, the reception staff were very welcoming and polite, the room was better than expected, suitable for a single person for longer study periods (many shelves, wardrobe). I got a room with included free breakfast, but I never got to try it due to lack of time. Even though a smaller single room it was comfortable enough. Due to the location it was very quiet at night (except for one evening where there was an open-air party in the complex), but the window had good insulation.

The bad staff is that during summer the whole area seemed deserted, crickets being louder than the traffic, as if all have left to vacation, no stores/shops were working, no bars, nothing. Luckily one of the main streets south of the complex has direct buses to the city center, some of them (no.14) had a vending machine at the back so that you can buy a ticket on board, and you would get to the city center in just a few minutes. So this made up for the location.

Great place in a residential / student area - super accommodation, good spread for breakfast, and a quiet location away from the centre - we walked to the town centre most days (20/25 mins), apart from when it rained or was too cold :-(.
The staff were super and went out of their way to ensure that we had a good stay - down to changing money so we had the right change for the bus fare, should we have required it!

Expensive but nice stay

Stayed at this hotel for one night and enjoyed the stay here. The hotel is in the middle between the airport and also the Central railway station and city centre. It took 30 minutes to walk into town but there are also regular buses from a nearby bus stop if you don't want to walk.

We received a friendly welcome and the staff were expecting us despite arriving just after midnight.

The hotel does seem to be mainly occupied by students however I could not hear a thing outside my hotel room and it was lovely and quiet.

I particularly liked the balcony window, the bed was comfortable, wifi fine and a good shower / bathroom. It was just a shame that the air conditioning was not working in the room as it was very hot.

The continental breakfast was tasty and plenty full and kept well stock despite it being busy.

We booked about three weeks before we arrived and the price was very expensive for what I would normally pay for this type of hotel. Well above the £50 currently being asked.

If you can get a good price I would certainly recommend staying here.

This is a university dorm facility. I stayed there two years ago for a trade fair and again last week. It is a dorm, so do not expect a bar or anything involving entertainment. Yet the rooms are absolutely soundproof and extremely clean. The bed is a twin sized bed so if you are hefty, forget it. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is included in the rate and is buffet style. If you are looking for a place to crash at night, this is it. If you are looking for hotel entertainment, go somewhere else. The place is perfect for resting after working all day.

Great place to stay

Camplus Living is a mix of a hotel and student housing, making for a great mix of people staying there. There's a convenience store and a couple of restaurants just a couple of minutes away but the center where most of the restaurants and shopping is located is a good 20 minute walk away. We did not have a car and had no problems getting around town. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice and had great air conditioning (extremely important as it was very hot and humid!). The staff were very nice and helpful and the free WiFi worked perfectly.

Overal pleasent stay

Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Considering it is a student residence, I was very surprised with the room quality and especially with the breakfast, which was good even for regular hotel standards.
One con was that the shower cabin is very small and the water would not flow out easily, starting to accumulate in just seconds after the shower start. I guess we were unlucky and got a room which had this problem. Another point to be aware of is that it is not so close to the old town - a good 30 min walk is required to get there.

this is not a hotel as you know it ! its just a place to sleep if you can because of the led lights outside the window that come on randomly there are no black out curtains
the room had a bed and tv but the best thing was the shower/ toilet good hot water

there are no facilities
no bar ,no café half a dozen places to sit in the foyer

Very surprised at how well students live these days! 'Hotel' (student accommodation) was more than adequate. Comfy bed (and I only had a single) and the staff were very friendly and helpful, speaking very good English. Close (5 minute walk) to a bus stop that takes you into the city centre for €1 each way - bargain! Breakfast was basic but fine - ham, cheese, break, eggs, bacon, cereals, croissants, yoghurt, and a self-service coffee machine which actually made a nice cappuccino.

And a local Pizzaria which made amazing pizzas!

I went here on business and had to get a cab to Bologna Fierre (where all the trade fairs take place). It cost around €9 per trip to the trade fair, and around €20 to the airport.

All in all, I was very impressed and will be staying there again when I return in 2 years time.

Great Self Serve Stay

The room was very clean with modern features as the facility is new. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was excellent (scrambled eggs and bacon). The hotel has 24hr fitness center with new machines and also a laundromat that operates 24 hr as well. Note this is a half hotel - half university dormitory, so lots of young students. Also note that this facility is not in the center of Bologna, it's a walk.

I expected a basic room, basic (probably uninspiring) breakfast and wasn't even sure if towels would be provided. Instead the room was very stylish, the bathroom bordering on luxurious, the front desk staff extremely helpful and friendly (and able to speak good English, which helped me), and breakfast each morning provided everything I could want to a very good standard, all for much less money than I would have spent elsewhere in the city during a big international fair.

Due back in Bologna next year and will not hesitate to book at Camplus Living Bononia again, and I've already recommended it to friends.

The Camplus dorm is brand new and really nice. The room was rolarge and very clean with a big bed, big desk and nice bathroom. Breakfast offered hot and cold foods. The coffee machine produced terrible coffee but everything else was fine.

Ok for 1 night stay if passing through Bologna

This hotel would probably be best for those with a car wanting a 1 night stay in Bologna, as there's free parking. Otherwise, it's pretty inconveniently situated for getting to the centre, with bus stops a good 10 min walk away, and no bars or restaurants close by for an evening meal to save going back into the centre again. It's situated in a suburban district with nothing to recommend it. The room was OK, new and clean and the breakfast was passable but nothing special.

Neat and clean. Very quite considering it is usually full of students. Restaurant looks and operates just like a school canteen, but it is very convenient. There is a quite good restaurant nearby who needs a more grown up dinner.
Rooms and beds are not large but that is normal in Italy anyways. Rooms & bathrooms (shower only) are extremely clean.
Down side is morning taxi situation during Fiere. It is very close to fiere or to centro but not walking distance. You can wait for an hour for a cab or walk to bus stop. Ask the reception for bus numbers to go and to come back.
I would stay again but plan better for transportation.

First time at this hotel. People at front desk extremely helpful. Hotel has only been operating for a year. I was in Bologna on business at tile fair. Room is very small, but did not need space since basically only slept and showered there. Forget taking family, not for that purpose. Half of the rooms are for college students in dorm environment, other half for outsiders. Breakfast included, full buffet, both hot and cold. Full gym and even rec room with billiards and ping-pong table. Ultra quiet, ultra clean, no dust-gathering carpets. Single bed but comfortable. Very happy with my choice. Walking distance to historic center. Quiet neighborhood.

We visited Bologna to see museums and the old city. Hotel was very convenient. Although at first I felt the location might be a bit sketchy, in terms of walking to/from in the evening, we felt very comfortable by the end of our stay. The hotel was clean, had lots of young folks around and a good energy about it. The breakfast was great. I very good value for a convenient location in a large European city. Would stay again

Das Personal ist top und wirklich bestrebt dem Gast einen angenehmen Aufenthalt zu bereiten.
Auch die Hilfsbereitschaft ist sehr löblich.

Das Hotel ist auch zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Die Bahnhaltestelle Bologna San Vitale ist nur 4 Gehminuten entfernt.

A recepcionista foi muito simpática, nos deixou um taxi reservado para o dia seguinte para nos levar à rodoviária, já que os trens estavam em greve. A sacada nos ajudou para lavar algumas peças de roupa e secar, já que o calor estava forte. O local é um condomínio de estudantes, mas isso não foi um problema. Possui restaurante para as refeições o que ajuda se estiver com crianças. O único defeito: placa na avenida sinalizando a direção da recepção.

Fin løsning til prisen. Lidt længere fra centrum end vi havde håbet, da der ikke var så meget i nærheden.

A chi piace l'ambiente universitario fatto di giovani di tante nazionalita' si trovera' benissimo,infatti e' l'Hotel del Campus universitario il ristorante e' a selfservice, non ci sono alcolici e ha un ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo, noi ci siamo fermati una notte e ci siamo trovati benissimo, anche il personale e' stato educato e gentile
