L’intero hotel e’ in ristrutturazione esterna quindi sei prigioniero in stanza. Non puoi nemmeno aprire una finestra.
Assenza totale di decorazione, sembra di stare in una stanza di ospedale.
Breakfast appena decente.
In stanza, sanitario che si muoveva dal pavimento, tenda doccia a brandelli, assenza totale di shampoo per 4 giorni di fila.
Reception molto gentile e disponibile.

Highly recommend!

Really well kept and comfortable place with great 24/7 front desk. Three of us stayed in a triple room, which was comfortable and spacious enough, updated everything, and great shower. We opted into the breakfast, only 10 euro for three people, which was good and convenient for our exit to the airport. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay again next time we are in Italy’s most delicious city.

I was not particularly impressed with this hotel. The location is great, so if you don’t mind staying in a worn down hotel just to have the location, then this place is fine. But the restroom was dirty and there were hairs underneath our sheets. Everything could use a serious upgrade, the ceiling was literally falling apart. There were chunks that were falling down onto us. Our shower drain was clogged and left a nasty smell. For the price we paid, I was not satisfied.

Hotel is in a great location to walk around the city. The service was excellent. We requested a crib for our daughter and it was ready to be used upon arrival.
Also, the front staff gave us a great service and gave a milk to my daughter for free given that it was late and we couldn’t find a place open to buy one -very appreciated!

Even though through expedia we could see that the hotel offers a free parking, once we arrived there we have been informed that there was no available parking and that we have to park either at a private parking with a cost of 24€ for 24hr or park anywhere in the street outside hotel for 9€ for 24hr and the receptionist specifically said “ just pay at any pay&display machine...” likely they allowed us to park temporary on a spot outside hotel in order to check in.. after check-in we got the car to find a spot for parking.. after driving for 10 minutes around we finally found a parking space.. trying to pay at the machine we figured out that wasn’t actually 9€ but much more.. As at the machine the only available language was italian we thought that may be we are making a mistake so we decide to ask someone around.. nobody speaks english there btw.. after 10-15 minutes we finally find a traffic officer and she told us that the hotel has to provide us with the ticket that cost €9, no need of a display ticket from the machine. We went back to hotel to ask about this tickets.. and after complaining that they weisted our time he guy said “but you didn’t ask me for that ticket!!!

Ok for a short visit

The location is great, you can walk from the train station and it is pretty close to all the main tourist attractions. The hotel is old, but I guess ok for a short visit and just to go to sleep. The worst thing for me is that you can see mold in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, rooms were OK, bathroom was clean and dry, curtains keep black dark even in sunny weather. Good WiFi. A lot of shops and small restaurants nearby, the fruit shop was working until 10 pm. Although it's an old building it was warm and AC worked just great. The hotel street is small, but a bit noisy. So be prepared you won't sleep after 8:30 am. No great view, but who cares - we didn't come in Bologna to stay in the hotel.

Great location to explore Bologna. The room was a little dated but was comfortable enough for a short stay. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Make sure you reserve a parking space with the hotel as otherwise parking is a nightmare.

Hotel Nice - Our stay in Bologna

Its a lovely hotel, quite nice and simply. It fufilled our needs.
We had a refrigerator to our convience. Theres a hair dyer also available.
You can use their laundry service (which i think are expensive) or just walk 5-10 mins. To a laundry mat.

A thing to notice, the shower doors dont completely close, but this was our forth place in Italy and we've encountered this everywhere so in all its the same everywhere.

Overall good place, good distant from market n piazza.

A pleasant surprise

The hotel was easy to get to from the train station, we just needed a gentle nudge in the right direction by an information receptionist. It was a fairly easy walk, even with large packs on our backs. The room was more than we expected: clean, plenty of towels, a safe. Also a free continental breakfast. The neighbourhood felt safe for two women travelling. The only complaint we can come up with is that the shower is very small and slippery.

Hotel location is the best thing. Room clean but beds very firm. Staff not friendly at all even when trying to speak Italian to them. Couldn't accommodate dietary requirements for breakfast, although other smaller 2 star hotels have been able to. Breakfast was very basic, better eating out locally. However, if you just want a basic set up as a place to put your head then this would do fine.

There is nothing pretentious about this hotel, but it is quiet and convenient and offers good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are well-equipped with comfortable beds and the en suite had shower and bidet and plenty of towels. It was a short walk to the 'two towers and from there to Piazza Maggiore.

Very noisy - did not sleep!

This hotel is directly on top of a bar. The crowd is very loud and hangs out in the street in front of the hotel. I heard bottles breaking and yelling until 5:30am. Do not stay here if you wish to get a good night of sleep. The hotel is in a good location to walk to the center of town. The best part about the hotel was the free wifi and breakfast.

I stayed for 2 weeks. Very clean room, good strong window that kept out the noise of carousing students. Friendly & helpful staff.

A major problem with the wifi. The best the signal ever got in my room was \"very low.\" Often not available at all. It's an unsecured network & I was unable to access my Comcast email or check any financial information during my stay.

The location near the university was good, but not for the cost. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast (cereal, pasteries, yogurt, etc) and the wi fi in the room. However, the room was tiny as was the shower. Wouldn't stay here again.

Great little hotel in the middle of all action

Nice simple hotel in the middle of the university area, also known as the area within the doors of Bologna. You can walk to the main area in 3 minutes, nestled in the middle of everything.
Only hotel during our stay in Italy that announced WIFI in the hotel rooms and actually delivered. Very nice staff as well.

Great location at the right price

We spent 3 fantastic nights at Hotel University and found it to be superb. Its location in the old town makes it perfectly placed for you to experience all that Bologna has to offer. It is also relatively cheap and is definitely value for money. In addition, we found the staff to be very attentive.

Before staying at this hotel we read some reviews complaining about the noise of the bar below the hotel. While the bar is quite lively we weren't disturbed at night and were able to sleep soundly.

We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good value, 3 star hotel in the centre of Bologna.

A decent little hotel, but in a run-down city

Hotel University is a small but pleasant hotel and is convenient to most of Bologna. The city, however, was shocking - dirty and covered with graffiti everywhere. I have never seen a city with such low collective self-esteem that they allow all of their public buildings to be defiled and stay that way. The neighborhood of Hotel University is as dirty as any other part of Bologna, which unfortunately detracts from an otherwise pleasant stay.

University Hotel

Walked easily to many of the famous downtown locations including the Two Towers (Torre Due), St Peters Cathedral, St Stephans, St Petronius, (and many other churches and sanctuaries with ancient Frescos), toured the University and several museums. We also found too many restaurants that had excellent menus. It was hard to choose, but we were not disappointed with any of the meals. The hotel was in a great location. I do NOT recommend driving to the hotel... streets are too narrow with an over abundance of one-ways, pedestrian only streets, all with changes every 2 or 3 blocks... take a taxi in and out of town. Everything is expensive in Bologna except for Pizza at a walk-up stand-only cafe.

Le réceptionniste lors de l’arrivée était très sympathique et parlait parfaitement français.
Chambre agréable avec triple vitrage donc très calme malgré la situation en centre-ville.
Hôtel calme.
Le parking proposé par l’hôtel ne convient pas pour une grande voiture. Nous avons utilisé le parking public à quelques minutes à pied de l’hôtel.

Wir hatten das Hotel wg der der Nähe zum Studentenviertel gebucht. Es liegt aber auch fußläufig vom historischen Zentrum entfernt, also optimal für schöne Kneipen und Restaurants sowie Sightseeing. Trotzdem ist es in der Straße sehr ruhig.
Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmte. Das Zimmer war okay, aber vor allem äußerst sauber. Einziger „Schönheitsfehler“ ist der Kleiderschrank, der schon sehr reparaturbedürftig war. Es gab wenig Stauraum und die Bügel bedürfen dringender Erneuerung.
Die Mitarbeitenden am Empfang und im Frühstücksbereich waren sehr freundlich. Ebenso im Zimmerservice. Das Frühstücksbüffet wurde stets aufgefüllt und war angemessen. Es gibt eine kleine Bar in der Lobby.
Das Hotel ist empfehlenswert. Wir würden es erneut buchen.

Alt i alt havde vi et godt ophold, hotel og personale var fint og pænt rent. Værelset lå super centralt, så det var fint. Det eneste dårlige var at værelset var koldt, vejret var ikke så godt, og det var ærgerligt at værelset IKKE indbød til ophold dels pga manglende varme og dels da der kun var en stol, vi fik dog af det venlige personale lov til at tage en stol nede fra opholdsrummet.

Centralt i Bologna, nära till det mesta! Åtskilliga restauranger inom 5 - 10 minuters promenad. Bra rum med skön säng. En nackdel, pga covid, frukostmaten fick beställas kvällen innan. Bufféservering inte möjlig. Saknade möjlighet att välja färsk frukt från beställningslistan; även om jag en morgon, spontant blev tillfrågad om jag ville ha frukt från ett fat. Skulle definitivt bo här igen om jag återvänder till Bologna.

Hotellets personal är väldigt serviceminded. Läget är bra med gångavstånd till de viktigaste delarna av Bologna.
När det gäller bekvämligheten så lämnar väl sängarna lite att önska, det är inte så bekväma sängkläder. Den andra saken som man kan tänka på är att det är väldigt lyhört. Man hör allt som sker i rummen bredvid och varje morgon blir man väckt av kyrkklockor. Så det passar kanske inte den som tänkt sova lite längre på morgonen. Bortsett från de sistnämnda sakerna så var hotellet till belåtenhet.

Il frigorifero in camera non funzionava.
Il posto per la colazione era veramente ridotto e oggi abbiamo dovuto aspettare perchè era tutto occupato, in compenso la qualità della colazione era soddisfacente.
La tapparella della finestra della camera non rimaneva alzata.
OK per le pulizie anche se il personale ha lasciato la finestra aperta e spento l'aria condizionata.

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, in einem Zimmer fehlte uns ein Nachttisch da wir ein elektrisches Gerät anschließen mussten.
Auf unsere bitte hin bekamen wir sofort ein anderes Zimmer.
Der Frühstücksraum war zwar klein, aber er war ausreichend. Frühstück war gut.
Das Hotel liegt super zentral 5 Min zum Zentrum. Abends kann es mal laut in den Gassen sein, was aber um 24 Uhr vorbei ist.
Alles in allem war der Aufenthalt super.

An amazing stay in Bologna

Nice stay.Clean room with everything you need (vanity set,shaving set). Location is perfect. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is nice ( croissants, yogurt,cereal,cheese,ham etc). I definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel centrale in ztl pulito ed essenziale

Hotel zona centrale,ottima per girare il centro a piedi.
Unica pecca si trova in ztl quindi è necessario fornire targa all hotel per non incorrere in sanzioni
Non ce posteggio in zona salvo cari postegfi a pagamento.
Struttura pulita,confortevole,set di benveuto in stanza semplice ed essenziale.
Colazione continentale nella norma.
Servizi e personale dell hotel tutto sommato efficienti.
Bagno essenziale e confortevole.
Discreta la qualità del sonno,ma trattasi di zona universitaria quindi purtroppo presente caos fino tarda notte e da riscontrare un caldo anomalo durante la notte nella stanza nonostante aver regolato il climatizzatore ed aver aperto le finestre.
Rapporto qualità prezzo offerto direi piu che accettabile.

観光スポットへは徒歩圏内。部屋もきれいでスタッフも親切。ただ建物が古く、ドアから室外の騒音が結構入ってくるので、神経質な人は耳栓などで対応する必要有り。朝食は最低限。

Ubicación inmejorable y limpieza

Ubicación inmejorable, en pleno casco histórico. Hotel limpio, perfecto para explorar la cuidad. Nos hospedamos en una de las habitaciones que no estaban remodeladas, pero aún así están limpias y acogedoras. Recomendaría este hotel, sobre todo, por su buena ubicación.

Zentrales Hotel für Städtetrip

Das Hotel liegt zentral in der Altstadt von Bologna. In der Umgebung hat es viele Restaurants und Bars. Da das Hotel in einer Seitenstrasse liegt, waren die Nächte angenehm ruhig.
Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, aber das Alter des Hotels ist jedoch bemerkbar.
Wir würden das Hotel jederzeit weiterempfehlen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt.
