Had a really lovely stay at the Metropolitan Hotel in Dubai. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfy, and the location was perfect for getting around the city. Loved the rooftop pool and the breakfast spread was spot on. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Hotel on the Subway Line

This is a very great hotel on the main NS highway and on the Subway line. The space is large, the rooms spacious and enough food and drink on site that you don't have to go out.

I have stayed many times before Covid and like the hotel.
My only feedback, the hotel needs to be more flexible and offer late check outs. Many flights in Dubai depart late in the evenings. This would be very customer focused approach.

I stayed at this hotel because of its location which is close to my Busineee meetings. I was checked in by Kamal at the front desk . Kamal was very professional ,friendly and offered me a room upgrade . Everything was okay , until I. And back to the hotel after the midnight and noticed that the loud music from the night club in the ground floor was way too noisy and I will not be able to sleep. I called the front desk and the agent apologized and said he will go and talk to the club management to reduce the music volume , but the music was on until 3:00 am and I couldn’t sleep that night until 4:15 am . I like this hotel and would probably stay there again, but definitely I will request to stay in the other side of the hotel away from the night club noise. Again a special thank you to Kamal from the front desk for his exceptional customer care service .

I was really pleased with the Hotel and its location. I was especially impressed with the service of the staff on the front desk who were very friendly and helpful. Esther went out of her way to see we had a lovely room and the extra bed we required. Yuki and Gerald were also very helpful. All in all we had a great stay!

This hotel was great for us doing Ironman Dubai we was 5 min taxi ride away from Jumeirah beach which we would of normally walked if we wasn’t racing!
The rooftop pool was brilliant, very quiet most days if you are looking for a bit of chill time
Breakfast was ace, and the freshly made omelettes was incredible

Bad service check in and out experience. The first room given to me had bad window isolation that you can hear every car on the high way with two connected beds although i made it clear on check in that i wanted king size bed not connected beds. On check out the lady didnt bother asking how was my stay which hints that no plan for continuous improvement.

My partner fell ill and I had requested an early check out. I had spoken to the hotel managment and they told me that it was up to Expedia and when I called Expedia I was told that it was up to the hotel. This bouncing around was very unnerving.
I am very disappointed with Expedia as you guys are the first point of contact and you should have enough clout to dictate what can or won’t happen.
I would like to either get a hotel credit for the unused balance or refund of equivalent amount.
Please this complaint seriously and have upper management invlolved if it can not be completed with first liners.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Friendly, helpful staff. The room was quite small, Very good shower. Bed was OK. The Red Lion Pub has a good happy hour and good food (pork knuckle!) but is VERY smokey--you'll have to wash your clothes after. The Don Corleone Italian restaurant was adequate but deserted. I was the only customer though it was dinner time. Nothing to do in the area without taking an Uber or cab, especially in summer heat.

I like i got an upgrade. I didnt like about the hotel because of 3 incidents one is the housekeeping opened the connecting room doors without permission and entered the room. And kids are trying to open the connecting room doors in two consecutive days at 4:00AM.

Considering the price this hotel was pretty good. excellent service and a hearty breakfast. only real problem is location, nothing round where it is. they run a shuttle to the metro but only once an hour and it ended at 7 pm. But otherwise a pleasant overnight stay.

Bed bugs, multiple bites resulting in a visit to the doctor and two injections. Woefully poor response from the hotel management. When your skin is crawling with insect bites caused by the hotel’s lack of hygiene, and all you want to do is get to a doctor, you can be forgiven for not wanting to hear the hotel manager tell you 1) that he’s about to go off shift but will leave a note for the day manager, or 2) that it’s impossible that it could be bed bugs.

After confusion at check in about my reservation, I was told I was given a good room with a balcony. When I got to the room there was a balcony, with no chairs to sit on. I was told I could check back the next day to see about getting a room with a bathtub.

Then, I didn't like that I had to relocate to the other side the hotel to get a bath tub room. Also, that in order to fill up the tub I had to wait for the shower to fill up the tub, what is that (no water spout for the tub). And, the water pressure was terrible and the water didn't get hot enough.

Even though I paid 300 durams deposit, I could not have access to the mini-bar. I was told I would have to go to the reception and give a deposit. I stayed at your hotel due to a workshop there, your hotel is a bit different than the hotels I'm use to staying at 5 stars and up.

However, the guys outside with the red coats and concierge were extremely nice and helpful.

But, being honest I probably would never stay there again.

Staff really helpful. Room was always cleaned to perfection everyday we was here. Sauna and steam room was amazing. Having a view from the rooftop was a bonus. The location was great. Mall was right round the corner. 5/10 drive to most places like the Burj Khalifa and so on. Overall 10/10 for me

All the linens were stained. I booked a room with twin beds and was given a room with a single bed and all what the manager was able to say is sorry we are fully booked! I had a child with me that is why I wanted 2 beds. It was suggested that I make my child sleep on the floor! They were not even able to rectify their mistake by offering a complimentary roll away bed! I booked this hotel because we were attending a wedding in the same hotel. My family had over 10 rooms reserved for the event and the response from the manager was so cold and uncaring.I would never book this property again.

I never review anything but I am so unhappy with this experience I wanted to let others know. The Metropolitan is categorically not a 4 star hotel. This is a 3 star at best. Ignore the nice photos showing the result of the refurbishment - they show an awful lot of polish that just simply isn't there in real life. The best comparison would be a good quality Holiday Inn - it is not a luxury 4 star hotel as it's presented. This is evident in the standard of the food in the breakfast buffet, the onsite restaurants and the overall finish of the new decor. It looks presentable - but cheap, not luxury at all. I would be happy staying there if I'd chosen to stay in a 3 star, but it's just not what we expected at all. The hotel staff were friendly and nice but they simply couldn't make up for the disappointment we felt at the overall hotel experience.
Ultimately we checked out for the final two nights and spent a further £1000 on a different hotel to make sure we had a good experience of the end of our holiday.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff make things even better! I live half may life in hotels due to my work! When The return time nears for the return trip back homeI stop leaving deposits at hotels and also leave my rental car and take taxis just because it takes credit card companies 15 days to refund my left over deposits! That makes accounting confusing for my accountant! So, one of those days that I didn’t have deposit on my account, I went up to the swimming pool. Didn’t take any money with me and forgot all about the deposit thingy! I ordered a sparkling water. After a while the the guy who served me came and told me that I have no deposit in! I said I don’t have any money with me! He said if you like I can come to your room to collect the money! Obviously he didn’t understand and realize the situation he was creating there! He was embarrassing the customer and creating tension between the hotel and the guest for only 5 Dollars! On the other hand the laundry was delivered and charged ( About 40 Dollars) to my room even though I didn’t have any deposit! If I was asked to pay Right there and than, that would be very appropriate! Anyways, the guy at the pool accepted my suggestion which was; I would go downstairs and bring the money before I left for downtown. This shows that there was not enough training there! This is not a complaint! I am still happy with them :-). Cheers...

The Metropolitan was absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly and accommodating, they greeted you with a genuine smile. Anuka was the agent who checked us in, and I loved her. Breakfast was great, there were a lot of options and the rooms were FABULOUS!! I would definitely recommend to others and I will be staying here whenever I visit Dubai again.
