Decent size room, nice toiletries and the slippers were a nice touch. I appreciated being able to access my Netflix account easily. I especially liked the pod coffee machine in the room as well as kettle, sensible size cups and plentiful supply of tea-bags. The breakfast offerings were varied and included fruit and cereal as well as the standard cooked options. The bar area on the first floor was welcoming and the free tapas was another nice touch. Overall, a very nice experience. Very nice staff.

Couldn’t fault the hotel for our 3 night stay, location perfect…10-15 minute walk down Bologna’s picturesque streets into the centre. Staff were incredibly helpful, easy check in and umbrellas available if it’s raining outside. Rooms were spacious, light and airy, with a massive bed. 15 minute/€25 taxi ride from the airport and 5 min drive from the train station. Roof terrace was lovely to sit on with great views of the city and can take your own food and drink up. Would 100% stay here again

I was welcomed by a very friendly staff with great hospitality. The room was clean and the location is an about 15-30min walk from the main shopping areas and historical landmarks. It is also <5min away from the bus stop to get to the train station. I will gladly book another stay when I visit Bologna.

Austere might not be the right word, but the complete lack of charm or even the thought of making you feel comfortable undoes the efficiency and exacerbates the sterility of the place. A further deterrent for feeling welcome is the abrasive front desk staff. The one redeeming factor was the bartender at the most likely repellent bar I have ever frequented with a blaring tv, the seating dispersed in either side of a gangway illuminated by floodlights that would fit a tarmac more usefully. In spite of the inhospitable
environment I enjoyed one of the better martinis I had outside of London and New York. Hats off!

The hotel was 20 min front Piazza Maggiore. Look for the 2 towers as a marker.Always felt safe walking from town to hotel. Watch out for bicycles and motor bikes

Reception staff excellent.
Rooms clean and tidy, bed had v good mattress Air Con etc.
Very quiet.
Would recommend.

Good hotel 20 min walk from Bologna centre. Very friendly and informative staff at the reception desk. Room nice but quite small. Restaurant lovely for evening dinner. Breakfast was expensive for what it was. We arrived 20 mins before the end of breakfast service and were being rushed with the leftovers. Parking was easy for a €16 fee.

We really enjoyed the convenience of this location to city center, shopping and fabulous dining, an easy 10 min walk. The deluxe room we had was modern, spacious & clean. The breakfast was incredible with an assortment of delicious homemade baked goods and a variety of hot food options. All staff members at this hotel were professional, friendly and helpful.

When I booked I liked the reviews about cleanliness and comfort -and it was !
We slept really well and the beds were very comfortable.
I liked the look of the roof terrace as I thought Bologna would be hot - which it was . However we didn’t seem to be able to get served up there .Though we did carry a coffee up after breakfast and it was quite nice to be able to sit up there it wasn’t quite what I thought . The breakfast had a good range of food choices . I needed a twin room as I was with my son and sadly none of the ‘upgraded’ rooms or rooms on higher floors with better views had twin beds . It was walkable into the centre - though quite a long walk - which wasn’t bad as we clocked up our steps !! A bit far from the train station so we had to take taxis when we did day trips . I think I will probably stay a little closer in next time - but it was a good hotel .

Look nowhere else - this is THE hotel in Bologna

5*+ rating for this special hotel in Bologna. For my first trip to Italy, my stay at this hotel made the entire experience that much more special. From the moment I checked in, to when I checked out the entire concierge team were welcoming, friendly and gave great tips on what to do and where to go. I was very surprised to have received a room upgrade - west facing, simply the comfiest hotel bed I have ever slept in and, a gorgeous bathroom with decent water pressure. If I had an extra day to my trip, I would have spent it in the hotel really taking advantage of the bar, lounge and restaurant. Or, just sleeping in - the bed was that comfortable. When I return to Bologna, I will only stay at Savhotel Aemilia.

I'm not sure how this hotel has good reviews bc it sucks. To start the staff isn't friendly and are extremely rude.
You have to pay for water.
They have 2 things that are gluten free and make no accommodations nor do they care.
The sheets and bedding are so stretched it's itchy.
The showers don't have hot water.
They lock you into your reservation so you can't cancel after checking in knowing that the property is awful.
Huge waste of money and regret staying here.

Great place to stay when visiting Bologna

Gorgeous hotel situated around 20 mins walk from the Bologna centre. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful, and room was spacious and lovely. Breakfast was great too. Try to get a room higher up as the views are great. This means getting one facing away from the road (which can be a little bit noisy). Definitely recommend.

This property was out-of-the-way, and not easily navigated to the areas that one wants to be in, in Bologna. Rest of amenities lacking.

Special, and exceptional Kudos to Alessandro in the lounge. He clearly has had some exceptional training and is an extraordinary bartender. The first that we found in all of Europe, who actually truly knew how to properly master martini. Very, very pleasant, and extremely professional!

We had an amazing time in Bologna. Although it’s full of graffiti it is a beautiful city. The hotel was amazing Salvatore and Teresa (front desk) are amazing employees always willing to help and look after their guests. The bartender (Alessandro) in the lounge was always smiling and sincerely cared about his clients. I highly recommend this hotel, but because of these three employees, this hotel is an absolute MUST STAY while in Bologna

Comfortable gem of a hotel.

A gem of a hotel situated just on the outskirts of Bologna center! Rooms spacious, modern, clean and comfortable. Friendly staff and the late checkout was a bonus. It is about a fifteen minute walk into the historic center part of town, but the hotel is an excellent value for the price.
We would stay here again.

The room itself was quite nice and large for a twin. It was generally pretty clean but there was some mould etc on the sealant and in the shower
The staff were always very helpful and it is a good price per night.
The shared areas definitely needed some attention… we found the roof terrace particularly underwhelming and a bit rundown. There is a phone where you can place orders for drinks but generally the whole concept needs updating & modernising to make it a welcoming usable space.
The hallways and common areas (excluding reception) are a bit shabby.
The hotel is a good 25 minute walk from the centre of Bologna
