The staff and the grounds are amazing. Pool is lovely. Bathrooms and elevators very small but the charm of the old hotel makes it a gem. Meals/food while good are expensive for families. But there were nearby options. The coffee and staff at Morsels stood out! The wheel chair company fail to deliver a chair for us but the front desk staff allowed us to borrow one from them and this was a huge blessing.

The hotel was nice. It had an old field to it, but it was clean and kept up quite nicely. The valet staff was exceptional. The only issue I would have is they really didn’t have a grab and go or room service after hours so you can get water or a quick snack otherwise the hotel was great.

The property's location was situated close to Rock Creek Park. There is a beautiful pool on premises. The rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious. It was a very comfortable room. The only negative is that I dined in the bar. The staff was helpful and kind, but, the steak that I ordered was not served hot and it was not cooked uniformly. I ordered medium rare and some portions were rare. It was $47 for the entree, so it was edible, but, not as good as I expected.

This is a great location, just off Rock Creek Park, in a vibrant neighborhood but away from downtown. Convenient to the Metro. The area is well served by restaurants. In summer there is a terrific pool with ample deck space and lounges. During our stay we observed children and adults happily sharing the water.

It is a large property, with lovely gardens. The front desk staff are helpful.

Room was clean, mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but very small, which is self explained due to the age of the building. The same is true for the elevators, they are so old I was waiting for the doors to open and see the Beatles in the elevator.

I had two beefs, one was with valet parking aas when we got to the Omni and when we left the hotel there was no effort by the Valet to even offer to help with our 2 pieces of luggage but they looked forward to a tip. The other was when we entered our room there were 2 bottles of water, and that was it. The next day when they serviced the room they were not replaced. For the price they charge to stay here they should have left a full case!

The best thing was that it was close to my family's home other than that I really wasn't impressed.

Lovely Hotel the lobby is beautiful and we enjoyed dinner and drinks in the Marquee Lounge. The room was very clean and comfortable we stayed on the 7th floor. There were some elevator issues but nothing too concerning. There's also the Morsel in the East Promenade that had great options like parfait's drinks and snacks. Our trip was to tour the National Mall and also enjoyed the Hillwood Estates formerly owned by Marjorie Merriweather Post. Be aware parking is around $65-70 a night and there is some type of destination fee we weren't initially quoted. That added about $300 to our initial booking. We used Uber and Lyft mostly to get to the places we wanted to visit like the Capitol. Would recommend this Hotel with a great history of visitors like the Beatles.

Property has great potential. Great ‘base camp’ for DC family trip. However, everything inside the hotel just took forever. Slow to check in, restaurants took forever to be served and get the bill; even the simple things like getting the elevator or towels for the pool. This by far is an inferior Omni experience compared to many other awesome options. We were quite disappointed with the in-hotel amenities. It appeared they did not know how to manage regular guests and the multiple conferences they hosted during the peak summer travel season. We’d love to be back if things get better. The price point should have created an exceptional experience, but this time is was quite ordinary.

Location is great, premises are comfortable, everything necessary is within the hotel or close by. A/C in hallways is a bit too high and in bedroom, inability to air out room and somewhat older a/c units leaves a musty smell, probably time to replace/clean.

I had a weird check-in. Was charged more than I should’ve been. No clarity. But the resort was beautiful overall and lots to do for the kids.

The overall vibe was a 3/5. I would go there again but the checking process would have to be smoother and more clear.

They charged me more fees than other staff and when I asked for a printout, I never recovered it. Eventually, they gave it to me but they were not honest from the beginning.

Clean comfortable environment. Beautiful outdoor area.The older employees were professional and helpful. The younger valet/welcoming crew was subpar. (Slow to hold open doors or not at all) Valet driver almost backed into my vehicle upon checkout, luckily i was able to slam into reverse fast enough to get out of the way. It was frustrating for myself and the owner of the car the valet driver was driving witnessed the event.

My daughter developed a significant rash during her stay, and the sheets felt rough and sandy. When she reported it, she was told the hotel would comp one night. When I later called to follow up, I was transferred between multiple departments, forced to repeat the story several times, and ultimately told by a supervisor that no refund had ever been offered. She also suggested that my daughter should have requested different sheets due to \"allergies\"—despite having no history of bedding allergies and no reason to expect a reaction. The promised callback never happened. The hotel felt outdated and not particularly clean, and several staff members were indifferent or impolite. Beautiful grounds, but poor accommodations and even worse customer service.

The hotel and property were gorgeous. They only had two elevators and one was broken, so we got to use the stairs a lot. The property is huge and with one working elevator, there was always a long line. They also forgot to replenish things like the wipes for the workout equipment. You had to tell the staff what was needed. The coffee shop was super slow and you also waited in a long, slow line there. Better to leave the hotel for,coffee. There is no microwave in the room and nothing is free, not breakfast and no coffee in the lobby. You will pay for everything, so come prepared. Having said that, I would stay again just based on the location and the beautiful gardens out back.

Honestly I was shocked that this was the same four star Omni that is pictured. I ended up paying to check in and not stay at all. I left and stayed elsewhere.

The property smelled extremely old and like mildew. The only AC was a motel style loud window unit. Even though the room was recently refurbished it was still extremely old and smelled like it. The hall was not redone at all. Stains everywhere. Children screaming up and down the halls. It was insane.

Talk about nickle and dime as much as possible. The coffee was horrible and NOT free. The coffee they give in room was awful. You can get coffee downstarirs if you wait in line with 20 people and 1 staff making burnt crap coffee. No creamer. Ceilings were leaking above elevator on 2B. our rooms were supposed to be $1300.00 the hotel took 2600 from my husbands account. They said it was just a \"hold\" but guess what the money was still GONE! The rooms dont have fridge, microwave... what the heck good is a chiller? The staff was very nice , and rooms were clean enough. For the price stay in the city that gives you better coffee and free breakfast.

My Wife & I picked the Omni because it is close to our daughters apt although it's a little more expensive that we would normally choose. It has a lovely pool, the lobby goes on forever & features several snack/drink options. It also has activity areas for children. Our room was comfortable with nice shower. Our 1rst morning about 8:45 there was a lotta noise. When my wife opened the curtain to see we were surprised to find a man on scaffold 2 feet away. Later at the pool we observed many such occurrences on the other side of the building. Perhaps this was necessary but a heads-up might have been nice. Parking in the area is tough & valet is higher than we would choose.

Very old style and outdated hotel. While the lobby looks fine and the outside areas are nice, the hotel rooms don’t seem to have been refurbished at all. Our rooms in the East wing first floor had terrible views of equipment and parking lodge. The bed are very high and the bathrooms and aircon all perhaps from the time the hotel was first built. Overall clean with lots of activity and space for working and having coffee, hotel coffee shop, etc. in the large open areas of the lobby.

Recently here for Police week because father was being honored for laying down his life in the line of duty. We were not provided the room we had booked and were awoken in the morning by construction on the balcony outside our window. Spoke with management and they were unwilling to help. Hotels.com reached out to them as well and were not helped.
They have the outward appearance of being a top rated hotel from the out sided but everything is clearly dated in sided. Valet service is helpful and kind but management lacks the same quality of service. Will not be staying here next year for Police week

The Room I was fortunate to stay at was rather extra private. It had like a hidden or tucked away entrance which made it special.
The Hotel is Grand with a surprisingly beautiful Entrance and Lobby.
The amenities are awesome; garden, pool, spa and fitness center.

This historic property has a beautiful back terrace looking over a wooded area that is quite peaceful. The hotel is very accessible to other areas of DC as there is a metro stop just 2 blocks away and it is near an area with shops and restaurants.

Very nice hotel with excellent staff! I’m used to staying in modern hotels and while this isn’t that, it’s a well kept older hotel with lots of charm. I booked because of the outdoor pool and beautiful garden area and we were not disappointed. The hotel is close to some major bike paths so we rented bikes and rode to Georgetown one day which was excellent! High recommend this hotel, you will however have to drive or uber to nicer restaurants downtown, there arent many nearby

The garden in the backyard is amazing, the cafes and lounge are wonderful. The rooms themselves are fabulous. A main issue we had was that the hotel is under some fairly major construction. At first we were put into a very loud room right in the middle of it with stone saws going off all around the room, but after getting to the room I called down and a lovely woman came and escorted me to another quiet room in a totally different part of the hotel. From there, the stay was quite nice, except that the gorgeous park in the backyard is rendered non-relaxing all day due to the construction above, only nice at night. Would for sure stay here again when the hotel is not under construction.

Room didn't seem like it was 100% put together prior to us checking in. There were no trash bags in the bins and no toiletries in the bathroom. We were only staying for one night so we didn't mind much.

A beautiful hotel inside and out. I understand it’s the beginning of their busy season… But they need to refresh especially the outside seating and outside area. Also, I did have an unfortunate experience with a worker who I felt to be a little condescending. Otherwise a beautiful room.

Front desk staff was super nice and I liked there being a fancy restaurant and lounge so we had the option of staying in. Only minor issue was having to valet the car causing 10-20 minute delays every time we needed to leave.

We were in DC and found this hotel while on our travels. The room was good, and met our families needs....the breakfast at this hotel was AMAZING. It was so good we planning to stay again just to have breakfast there again! The grounds near the hotel was beautifully. So many tulips were in bloom and beautiful area to play some games with the kids and relax on the hammocks. Next time we also looking forward to trying out the pool area!

Our experience was horrible. We booked only for 1 night and the room beside us, there were 3-4 people talking and laughing the whole night, Since midnight till 8 AM none stop. I called lobby 3 times, and they came to give them notice 2 times. but they weren't listening. It was a horrible night and we both didn't sleep even 5 mints. and in the next morning we went to eat breakfast at the restaurant located in the lobby and although they had at least 6 empty and clean tables they said we should wait at least 20 mints and finally after 30 mints they let us to sit which it was unreasonable. The lady said her manager asked for waiting list and other guests were so upset as well. won't book this hotel anymore.

Cons: They were doing brick restoration, so the grounds were a mess. The Marquee Lounge was a horrible dining experience. We requested extra blankets that never showed up, and the sheets were horribly uncomfortable. There was never anyone at concierge. They seemend understaffed.

Pros: the staff was friendly, the restaurant \"Roberts\" was overpriced but very good, the outdoor heated pool was lovely, however it was very hard to find and you had to sign in each time. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating to our children. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and the activities they offered were great.

I am not sure we would stay here again. Only if the price were right.
