The Glover Hotel is located within a reasonable distance from the embassy I was visiting on International Drive. The staff were responsive and provided extra blankets, towels and a microwave when requested. The room decor is average and nothing fancy. They provided a wheel chair for my mom for the two nights we were there. They don't offer free breakfast and shuttle bus to the airport. Something to keep in mind. There are separate but convenient bars and restaurant next to the hotel.

I was pleased with the pet policy. There are a few decent hotels around Washington that to take pets especially pets and this Hotel was very good about it. Another hotel in Greenville, South Carolina was very good about it. It’s important, especially if you’re moving to another city, which I was.

Unfortunately there’s no complimentary coffee in the restaurant adjacent to the lobby as one of the guys at the front desk told me there would be in the morning, but there are free refills if you buy drip from the restaurant. I would stay here again to explore Georgetown.

Location is good, nice walkable neighborhood, we were able to park on the street. Room needs an update, especially carpet and bathroom, terrible shower design, bathroom floor flooded every time we used it, had to request extra towels to mop up. Windows need to be reinforced, traffic noise from Wisconsin Avenue was very loud during the night. Common areas seem to have been updated and the decor is nice. We did not use the restaurant but it seemed popular.

Check-in process was smooth but parking was a bit pricey at $55 per day. The parking is conveniently located under the hotel, so I wasn't to pressed about it.
The hotel is located in a very convenient location where it's easy to get to lots of destinations.
My only gripe is that the bathroom was a bit moldy in the shower and (the following opinion is purely personal..)I hate when there is no shower door. It's trivial, relatively, but uughhhh.
Check-out was super easy & I appreciate that it's a later check-out time compared to other places I've stayed.

This is a boutique hotel with accomodations that are not \"posh\" nor \"upscale,\" but for me, all I wanted to do is go sit outside and have a meal and do some work and not feel like I was in a Marriott or a Hilton. I had spent four nights earlier there and had to drive to get a nice meal at a Reston town Center the last hotel stay outside of DC, which was nice, but if you've been in one you've been in all, and by God don't eat the hotel food! It's a waste of calories, unless you're absolutely just exhausted. But the restaurant here had a HUGE outdoor patio. So I was able to sit out side, work and have a meal. They have a nicer-than-normal hotel gym space. It reminded me of my gym at home that is smaller lifting style gym. And they also had a spa, so if you wnated a sauna redlight treatment, book in advance before you arrive as it would have been a nice option. Only downfall is the parking rate was $53, but that is probably customary in DC hotels, and it was 20 minutes to my downtown Penn Avenue business meeting. Wasn't a horrible drive in, but the less I have to drive the better. I think if I know exactlyk where I'm going \"parkingwise\" when I'm in DC and have my car, this is a great option if I want to just sit outside and need to work and have a meal. Sometimes it's fresh air and food, and that certainly negated the lack of luxury you feel with a lot of DC hotels. It was clean and staff friendly :)

Clean hotel, but that’s where the positives end for me. The room was tiny, the parking garage was a nightmare, and the bed was so hard it felt like a wooden board. I barely slept all night. Wouldn’t stay again based on comfort alone.

The location was great. Close to restaurants, whole foods and the embassies. When I arrived I was notified I would have two double beds not the king I booked. Also, the parking was pricier than listed on Expedia.. This hotels walls are pretty thin. Additionally, the bed I had squeaked loud just by adjusting sleeping potions and very much needed repaired- my husband’s bed was fine. I weigh 135. With that being said I would have given this place a higher review- it could have just been my particular room. The location was perfect and the actual ambiance was very welcoming.

The hotel is nestled into the Glover Park section of DC near Georgetown. The hotel appears to have gone through a renovation which was well done. Check in is manual, but a quick process. Our room, a King deluxe was spacious and had a small kitchen with stove, fridge and sink, so you can apparently stay long term. The corner room had a view of the Washington Monument and some very nice G-town homes next door. Bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. Our dinner at Davino was also really good though the service was slow for a Sunday. Didn’t matter to us as we weren’t in any rush. We may be back as we will need to come back to G-town hospital in a couple of months and Glover Park is marvelously convenient at a good rate!

Did not go to breakfast. Reception people not very friendly or helpful. They were not familiar with metro or buses or Georgetown. I have traveled extensively but had to ask for help to turn on lights in the room. Lamp switches very hard to find. Very modern rooms so the light situation….room not tidied the second day but had enough towels but needed more coffee pods. Bar was nice and adjacent dining room outside had had trivia night.
A bit far away from downtown and sights.
Discription of hotel location could have been better.

The hotel was not very clean overall. The beds are old and uncomfortable, leaving us in pain. When checking the mattress for bugs (no, I didn't find any), I was disappointed with how stained the mattresses were. The sofa in the room was filthy, as was the elevator (see photos).
There was no working vent or window in the bathroom.
The AC turns itself off in the middle of the night, making the room very still and too warm.
The restaurant was supposed to be open until 11:00 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., it was closed. We only wanted coffee but were told they \"closed early.\" No reason given.
We were not told upon reservation there would be a large fee per night to park.
Update: had to call and get the receipt mailed to me, even though it was promised at checkout. Staff who answered was extremely rude and annoyed with the simple request. The itemized bill showed tax on the parking plus a previously not disclosed credit card fee. Interesting because I was told cash wasn't even an option for payment (usually it isn't at hotels so I was not surprised). How can you charge someone extra to pay the only way you allow payments????
Will not return to or recommend this hotel. Our total bill was significantly more than when booked. And no, we used zero amenities.

This hotel had the perfect location for my purposes. The room and bathroom was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The staff was short tempered, and did not give clear directions. At first they forgot to give me the key, so I didn't know my room number. Then, they told me to go park in the garage, under the hotel. It looked like you were heading into a garbage dump. Then, the directions for using the garage code was not clear. However, it all worked out well in the end. I will stay there happily next year now that I understand the set up.
