We had originally booked a room with pool views, but upon arrival we were delighted with a free upgrade to a beautiful apartment since it was available. Such a wonderful gesture that made our stay even more special!

We truly enjoyed every moment of our time at the hotel. The staff were always kind and attentive, helping us with information about tours and local restaurants, which made our experience even better.

Breakfast was exceptional, with delicious homemade cakes and a great variety of tasty options each morning. The location is perfect, and the views from the terrace are simply breathtaking. On top of that, the hotel offers free parking, which is a great plus.

We had an amazing stay and highly recommend this place!

The roof-top restaurant was the best part! The food and service were top-notch! The view was lovely. The two hot-tubs were luxurious. The location is quite a drive and/or walk to nearby beaches but the price fit the bill compared to properties closer to the action. For a hotel meant to be monetarily practical, the amenities more than made up for it.

Wonderful stay! Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! Located in a very nice area, close to restaurants and beautiful beaches! Private parking area. We had a delicious welcome drink at the terrace bar.
Breakfast was delicious, with a good selection and everything was fresh.

Great spot for a couple nights

Very cute boutique hotel. Location is a little walkable and has some restaurants that are great nearby, but overall you need a car to go to any beaches or to downtown (which we had.) easy and free parking was a plus, and their free breakfast was SO good! The rooftop hot tubs and the restaurant view are also amazing. My friend and I had a great time and would recommend!

We recently stayed at the Dolce Vita Boutique Hotel for one night and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is impeccably clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. Although the bathrooms are a bit outdated, they are well-maintained and spotless.

One of the highlights of our stay was enjoying a bottle of wine on the top floor. The views were simply stunning, offering a breathtaking panorama that made the evening truly memorable. We highly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, comfort, and spectacular views.

Relatively easy to find and it was nice to have easy parking. Our room A/C didn’t work and we were on a bad side of the building for wind flow, but the other room in our group had great air flow and good air conditioning. The front desk brought a fan but it was still warm for us. The location can’t be beat and the staff at the restaurant on the rooftop was amazing!! I would give that experience 10 stars! Book through Expedia so you can get your free bottle of wine per room.

Nice little hotel, fabulous terrace on top floor with 2 hot tubs, hotel mostly set up for couples as only 2 sun-beds at both hot tub areas, service was good breakfast not great like many italian hotels - we are from uk so uht milk tastes alien to us but used everywhere . Very close to porto cervo, location quiet with no passing traffic- we stayed in suite which is in a building opposite , plenty of restaurants but car is necessary in this part of sardinia

The pictures of the hotel are a bit better than the property itself. The hotel is a bit tired. We arrived not in the season, so the bar on the terrace wasn’t set up yet, but the view from the top is amazing, and jacuzzi on the rooftop is super cool. Must be nice during the season. Had to ask for the upgrade and our bottle of wine (part of VIP benefits), but once received - we had an amazing room with a wonderful view and a bottle of nice Vermentino. Breakfast is very good!

This is a lovely hotel. The room was beautifully decorated and the view spectacular. I highly recommend a room with a balcony and sea view. There are many excellent restaurants in walking distance. The hot tub on the top floor with views to the sea was a bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend highly!!

Short stay in quiet and clean surroundings

Comfortable, spacious and very clean room for our 2 night stay. Breakfast typical for those on offer on the island - compared with other stays during our holiday we had better but also far worse! Quiet hotel; the rooftop bar was lovely we had it to ourselves most of the time. Within walking distance of restaurants and the port. Overall we found the quality of food/drinks in the area to be very overpriced for the quality. Glad we experienced the beautiful beaches nearby (by car) but equally that we only spent a few days in this part of the island. Would recommend this hotel if in the area.

The hotel is older, nice but the major issue that the A/C does not work. I asked the desk to check on it and they sent someone up. That person said everything was ok. When we got back to the room it was even hotter than before. We had to find a new hotel. When we check out early, they even charged us for the day we checked out as they said they would not have time to rent it again. If the room was of a decent temp we would not have to had check out, so I feel sorry for who ever they rented it to.
Other than that, we email to see if we could came in a day before. Instead of extending our stay like their email said. They canceled our reservations, then found a way to accommodate us.
And, even that the sign says the roof top bar opens at a certain time, they open when they want.
So if you need a hot room with running water, this is a good place.

The location was perfect! Great restaurants all around the hotel and just a ten min walk to the marina to grab the ferry over to the main town. The staff was beyond helpful for every little thing. Breakfast by the pool was delicious and the service was always great. So happy we chose to stay here and would definitely stay again! Ps the sunset from the rooftop is not to be missed!

The catering and waiting staff are superb

The roof top sun area has great views of the are and gives great protection from the sun

I'd recommend hiring a car to explore the wider area

This is a lovely hotel with convenient parking. It is close to nice restaurants and it is possible to walk to a supermarket. The pool is ok but a little small. The staff through out the hotel were really friendly and helpful.

We used the car to get around so I cannot comment on the location to the beach

Great rooftop sun deck with view of the Emerald Coast. Celebrated my birthday up there with wine & cheese from the local market across the street, then followed that with a delicious seafood dinner at Spinnaker Restsurant, also across the street. Helpful staff. Quiet neighborhood for sleeping. Free safe parking in back.

Nice, but breakfast needs improving

Lovely helpful staff, who were very kind in trying to accommodate us when we weren't happy with our room. Our first room was very small and overlooked the side of the hotel, despite the fact it was supposed to be suitable for 3 people and overlooking the terrace. We were moved after 2 days to a much larger room, with a balcony, which was lovely, and made such a difference to the holiday. The beds are very hard, but this suited us fine. The rooms have a fridge which is useful.
The hotel decor is lovely, especially the reception floor, but the breakfast area is rather awkward and uninviting. The roof terrace is fabulous. The hotel was a little lacking in atmosphere, but that may be because we were there towards the end of the season.
There was a welcome glass of prosecco, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was just about OK if you like cake and cold pastries. Although there were cereals, the milk was UHT, rather than fresh, and there were always the dregs of scrambled egg and lardons, no matter what time we seemed to arrive. Only once did we have fresh egg. There was also a lack of fresh fruit/fruit salad or healthier options. There was a plate of melon or pineapple, but once it was gone, it was gone and not replaced. Fresh bread was also sparse, and the same cheese and ham was on offer each day.
Only just a 4 star. Trying, but could try harder. Lovely staff.
Paper maps would be very helpful, rather than just sending a map via email.

Pictures deceiving

The hotel pictured in the listing was far more elegant than the tacky one I found on arrival. Although the hotel staff were sweet, my room was flush with the hotel pool outside my window .This meant that from dawm until dusk there were guests splashing around outside of my room, ruining any sense of peace. In addition, the ratings for the building, public areas and my room were quite inflated considering that the place had the feel of a 50's era motel.

Fabulous rooftop area - beware rock hard beds

Great rooftop terrace with two hot tubs, loungers, chairs, tables and amazing views over sea to front and mountains to rear - the best feature of this hotel by far.

Breakfast buffet is not what you'd expect from four star. Very basic and little change in a week. They'lol cook eggs if asked but don't volunteer this info. Bed was quite unbelievably hard and, as we arrived late at night, no possibility of changing it that night so we barely slept. We both like quite firm mattresses but this was literally like laying on a wooden board. Reception staff were stony faced when we asked for something to be done next morning - simply saying \"some people like it like that\". The issue was resolved but with pretty bad grace - again not what you'd expect in a four star hotel.

Nice clean hotel just outside Porto Cervo

Decent hotel in Liscia di Vacca, a village within easy reach of Porto Cervo. We had a car so it was easy to access Porto Cervo and surrounding areas. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Rooms were clean, and the balcony was a nice feature. There is a small pool, and a rooftop with excellent views and a jacuzzi.

We had a fantastic 6 nights and the staff were all excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Close to great restaurants and walkable to Porto Cervo. The rooftop jacuzzi was hardly ever used and is a great secret for a sundown prosecco!

We had a lovely week at the Dolce Vita Hotel. The perfect location to explore the Costa Smeralda and a beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. The restaurants within walking distance were brilliant (Spinnaker, Retro & Aruana Churrascaria) and the breakfast was always great. Would highly recommend booking a boat trip on Isabella 1986 through the hotel - this was a highlight of our trip! All in all a great stay - thank you Dolce Vita.

If you are thinking of spending some time in this area of Sardinia this is definitely a superb hotel to use - and we are VERY fussy - made even better by outstanding service by staff that genuinely appear to enjoy their work at this excellent boutique hotel.

We have stayed in 5 star hotels with poorer service than that offered at Dolce Vita. The hotel website photos exactly represent what you can expect.

We requested a quiet room on an upper floor and that is exactly what we got. Room 207 is a superior room on the 2nd floor with only one connecting wall and the last room at the end of a corridor. Could not get any quieter. Also spotlessly clean.

We found the bed too firm, but this was rectified with a topper following a request to reception the next morning. The rooftop solarium has 2 jacuzzis and for most of the time we used it were the only people up there, even though the hotel was full. Sun shades were attached to the metal frame in the centre of the terrace within 30 minutes of being requested.

Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruits, cold meats and cheeses, scrambled eggs and bacon (if you must!), cereals and excellent freshly baked homemade cakes and pastries - and cappuccinos cheerfully made on request. Miriam always had a friendly welcome and smile.

We found bar and lunch prices very reasonable and little different, if at all, from the bars and restaurants in the local area.

Used as base for local touring, lovely beaches nearby especially Spiaggia del Principe and Long Beach. Eat at Retro (100m from hotel), Spinneker on main road (200m from hotel) also very good with alternative of takeaway pizzas from wood fired oven. Nice cafe also on main road very close by.
Car is essential as the area is too beautiful to miss. Good supermarkets in Abbiadori if heading south on way to beaches.
Staff at hotel exteremely helpful, rooms cleaned very well every day ... we loved the hotel.

Loved this hotel. You will need to either book a lot of taxis or hire a car but, can walk to the Marina or Porto Cervo if the mood takes you (although you may dice with death on some of the roads without pavements!). The hotel is beautiful and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Amazing roof terrace with jacuzzi. All in all, perfecto!

EVERYTHING MUST GO

Dolce Vita is a small hotel on the outskirts of Porto Cervo. Unfortunately facilities in Porto Cervo were closing for the winter. So after October first I warn anybody that they should stay in Olbia or Palau which are business centres.
But the staff here are fabulous, cannot do enough for their guests. Next year i would strongly recommend to anybody to return.

Lovely, lovely staff and wonderful hotel - couldn't use the roof top jacuzzi because of the weather but everyone was very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

When we arrived, we were greeted with an arrival drink, the room was lovely and we asked for recommendations for things to do / places to eat and they were so accommodating and helpful!

Comfy bed, lovely breakfast and great location to nearby Porta Cervo and other great beaches.

The only thing was the shower wasn't very strong at all - not sure if we were doing something wrong (room 202) though!

Fabulous Hotel with great staff

5 Ladies celebrating a significant birthday absolutely loved this hotel, despite the cyclone that hit for 3 out of the 4 days we were there! Beautifully rustic, amazing roof terrace which had magnificent views and comfortably furnished. Every member of staff were amazingly helpful and accommodating, and breakfast was great. The only tiny thing that could make it even better was Coffee/Tea making facilities in the room. Will definately return, as will at least 2 others.

Facilities at the hotel were good, and we were immediately impressed as we were given a welcome aperitif and an upgrade to a suite with a terrace and Jacuzzi! Whilst further from Porto Cervo than we envisaged (and not really walkable given the road and no footpath) there were plenty of eating/drinking options for our one night there - might be more restrictive for a longer stay. Hotel was clean and well maintained with modern rooms and bathrooms. Staff really helpful, ample parking, free wifi, quiet as a little off the main drag and very good value for money. Couldn't have asked for more

We stayed for a week at the Dolce Vita and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are excellent, efficient and very hospitable. This place has all the charm of a smaller boutique hotel. The jacuzzi on the rooftop is fantastic as are great views. A bit of prosecco and a few nibbles also helps! The Costa Smerelda is generally a very pricey place to go but the Dolce Vita is certainly great value for the wonderful hospitality it provides.

A very pleasant stay in Costa Smeralda

To start with, we were allowed to check in early, what was simply great after our very tiring journey (early flight to Olbia + long waiting line at the car rental + driving to the property) and we had a very comfortable air conditioned room with a nice comfy bed to recharge before heading to the sea.
By all means RENT A CAR, then you can stay here without any major difficulties to get around. You will anyway need a car to make the most out of Sardinia, so this hotel becomes a very appropriate complement to your stay, as it is sure to allow you some nice resting after a day out in the sun, with a decent breakfast included.
The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome and they were even excited to give us tips of places to go.
I can only recommend this place and would definitely stay there again if coming back to this part of the Island.
As a final tip, I suggest that you indulge yourself by getting some nice vermentino white wine or the red canonau (whichever you prefer, by the way you can get both across the road in the Retro restaurant) and bring it to the terrace of the hotel to watch the sunset in one of the jacuzzis. You will get that feeling that life is good, for real.

Had a really good stay here & fab restaurant recommendation with nice views over Porto Cervo. Only disappointing thing was that we left some chocolates in the mini bar fridge and checked out. Before we had chance to return & collect them (30 mins) they'd been eaten! Wasn't till we opened the empty boxes a day later that we realised! Not great!

Hotel looks small but oh so friendly. Staff cant do enough for you. Clean rooms, 3 min drive from porto cervo marina and all the best beaches like Romazzino etc.
Nice and quit end of july so like having a private hotel with pool and jacuzzis on roof. Would definitely return!

I would definitely recommend La Dolce Vita, if....

.....you are looking for a clean, welcoming, safe, easily accessible and comfortable place to rest your head and leave your bags while you make your way around beautiful Sardinia - this is exactly what we (a couple) wanted so we were more than delighted.
IT's in a great location - 10min walk to the harbour and marina.
The staff are lovely - knowledgeable about the area and places to recommend, with a very good level of English. They were happy to book restaurants and help us hire a speed boat, etc.
It's clean, with nice basic decor and has a relaxed feel about the place.
I wouldn't stay here if you're after a luxurious hotel that you want to spend a lot of time in.

Great Hotel

Excellent Location for all the beaches and very close to Porto Cervo. Great value for the location! A couple of nice restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance. The staff are very attentive and helpful.

You will need a car to get around - but this goes for anywhere in Sardinia as public transport is non-existent.

Excellent location at an affordable price

We stayed here for a week in late July 2013. The location is excellent. Although it is not situated in a town, it is just off the main road through Costa Smerelda and so there are lots of amenities at hand. There are about 6 restaurants within 5 mins walk of the hotel, and if you walk into Porto Cervo marina (15 mins) then there are lots more pubs/restaurants to choose from. The nearest beach is about 15mins walk away, down a steep road, and we'd advise taking a torch so you can see and be seen when walking back after dark. The hotel is clean, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. It has a small swimming pool, but quite a large area around it in which to read or sunbathe. Rooms are clean, have good aircon, and have the usual amenities (locker, shower, etc). The hotel has its own free car-park at the back, and I would definitely say that a car is essential if you want to explore the coast or the rest of the island. Compared to almost all the other hotels along this coast, which are extremely expensive, Dolce Vita is good value for money, and makes an excellent base from which to travel round.

A lovely hotel to stay in

This hotel is simply fantastic. It is a small hotel but very well kept. It is not far from Porto Cervo, about 5 mins by car. There is not a great deal nearby but there is a coffee shop (Spinnaker) which I visited everyday as well as a supermarket right next to it. Porto Cervo is so near that not having a great deal nearby is not a problem. The staff are lovely, always smiling and always willing to help. The owner, Marco, was very friendly and always attentive to the needs of those staying there. The rooms were very clean. All in all a fantastic hotel and an enjoyable stay.

Excellent value in Porto Cervo

I think this is the best deal in the town of Porto Cervo. Friendly staff- they cooked us breakfast at 2:00 in the morning when we first checked in. Very clean, too.
I would recommend Hotel Dolce Vita.

Dolce Vita - perfect

Perfect stay. Great hotel. Great value for money. You need a car no matter where you stay in Sardinia. This hotel has a comfortable and nice environment. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Can't fault it!

The Hotel Dolce Vita is a great choice is you're planning on staying in the Porto Cervo area. Its a 20-25 minute walk to the harbour, but theres plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby not to have to go. The staff are helpful and friendly and the rooms are really clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed in 3 different hotels during our week in Sardinia and this was by far the nicest and best value for money.

Muy bien en general.
Lo único que no nos gustó fue que el desayuno era muy pobre y ponían otras opciones para pagar.
Cuando estuvimos en su terraza bar, nos dimos cuenta que a algunos huéspedes les daban una bebida de bienvenida y cuando preguntamos porque a nosotros no nos la habían ofrecido nos dijeron que porque no habíamos reservado directamente con el hotel

Nossa estadia foi ótima. O hotel é bem grande no sentido dos quartos não serem só em um local. Nosso quarto era em umas casa na frente do hotel. Estadia foi muito boa. Café podia ser melhor e cobrava itens por fora.

The Hotel is very cosy and in a silent classy neighbourhood. All was well though 2 points I like to raise. Walls seem thin as noises on floor and other rooms are very present. Second one day we came 9:30 to the breakfast (open till 10:30) and the buffet was almost empty with no refill. A pity as the quay of the breakfast is very good and the personnel very kind.
