- mediocre, specified twin beds and noted in special request but given a double bed. Front desk staff rectified this upon us showing the booking confirmation.
Check out: 4/5
- checked bill was charged for another room’s item, front desk took it off bill. Would check bill before paying.

Dining experience: 1/5
- Disappointing. Evening/night staff were unpleasant, not welcoming and dismissive.
- Gentleman that took our order was very dismissive, didn’t wait for us to finish our order and walked off.
- Long wait for food to arrive.
- Our second dinning experience, order was incorrect bc again the same gentlemen waiter did not wait for us to finish ordering.

Room & service: 2/5
- Large room
- For the entire stay we had no cleaning service.
- The fridge was not replenished with drinks or water.
- No drinking glasses in room.
- Washroom toilet seat was smaller than the toilet base.
- Washroom had mold and smelt like sewer. We had to request airfreshener as the smell was unbearable.

Location - 2/5
- not convenient to other restaurants or town, car required.
- taxi service is minimal and expensive.

Pro: Villa does have infinity pool and the scenery is nice.

Solid Hotel, Needs Improvement in Service

The breakfast could be better, but otherwise nice stay. Restaurant is actually really good, but somehow the breakfast was not good at all. Some of the staff had attitude, but we were able to manage. Love the views, the pool, and walks around the hotel.

The heart of Tuscany

This hotel is in the middle of paradise. It was a little hard to get too as the associated town is quite small. Especially since the hotel would not answer the phone. Very nice pool and property. Wifi was reliable.

Old hotel in a lovely location. Staff were ok (polite but not what I'd expect for a 4/5 star). Nothing to complain about per se but expected more. Spa is nice but lack of language made for problems with massage (our fault in assumption but we ended up with only 45 minutes for a paid hour massage. Food good rather than great, AC functional - just. BUT enjoyed the stay.

A few days in Tuscany

Amazing place to stay. Very comfortable and relaxing place. Rooms are on the smaller side but very comfortable. Wifi is not free as it says on some of the room information.

service attitude lacking....

Overall a quite nice-looking hotel, unfortunately the either grumpy or 'just not caring' service from front desk let's the overall experience down. Wifi was a constant headache (sometimes working, then not..), and nobody really tried to address it, rather find excuses (even the \"clouds\" where blamed.....)

This was a nice hotel and kept clean however the staff was very rude it was not located close to the train station and taxis were very expensive. If I stayed in the area again I would stay at a hotel that is a lot closer and the same price ...

The rooms and views were lovely! Upon arrival, it was not the best welcome we received while in Italy. Service at the restaurant was slow at both dinner and breakfast. They do make tasty cappuccinos though.

Do not, DO NOT stay at this hotel

If you are looking for anything close to 5 star or even 3 then this is not the place for you. Although the scenery is beautiful that's where your excitement will end!!! You drive up to br greeted by friendly staff and a concierge plus someone to take you and your bags to your room, think again!!!!!!!!
No porter, drag your own bags, want a drink or snack in the afternoon, not possible and should you want enough light to shave or in my wife's case put on makeup, wrong yet again!!!!
This third rate property is NOT what it seems to be.
Also should you not want to hear my words and still go, DO NOT take a package that includes food.
Breakfast is mediocre and dinner average at best.
Guess what, most certainly would not return and please please heed my words.
If anyone has seen the british series FAulty Towers then you gave arrived italian style when you check in here and at a cost!!!!!!!!!

the hotel is a resort hotel located in a beautiful area of Tuscany, about a 25 minute drive from Florence.
the hotel is very luxurious, our classic room was well appointed and clean
My wife used the spa facility for a massage

Very quiet and relaxing.

On our initial arrival, I was a bit put off by the man at the front desk. We had a long drive from Rome, but we were excited about our stay in Tuscany. All the man had to offer us was \"Name\", \"passports\". There was no welcome of any sort with this man. However, as our stay continued, we were greeted warmly by other front desk personnel. Our waiter, Enzo, was top notch. He gave great recommendations on food and wine. I loved that we never saw a bill for anything while staying here, but it all was reconciled to perfection upon check out.

A relaxing hotel in the close to several wine yard

A perfect hotel if you want to have a quiet weekend near several wine yards. Our room was big and furnished with a double bed, two armchairs and a sofa. The staff was very helpful and worked hard to make us feel like important guests. The restaurant had a good variety of different meals and had several wines to offer, most of them from the Chianti area. If you want to run a way for a romantic weekend this is hotel is a good choise and the only drawback I can se is that it is placed several miles from a big city.

In serious need of renovations....

stayed two nights, dinner one evening was enough; okay as a base for enjoying wine country, but if your intent is to tour Florence, this is not what your looking for. Calling it a resort is pushing it.

The man at reception on our arrival didn't welcome us or even say hello. He snapped at us asking for our reservation and ordering us to give him our passports, I was so shocked I didn't reply and started looking in my bag.... As I did this he clicked his fingers at me an said \"you to\"! He never offered help with our bags, didn't tell us any info on the hotel. This was the worst experience I've ever had and would never recommend or return to this hotel.

Make sure you don't get a attic room

This is an absolutely beautiful mansion with a spectacular view of the surrounding area. The place seems very newly renovated. When booking we had paid a little more to get a charm room but that turned out to be a complete vast. It was a dark room/attic with 2 small windows with no view and half of the room the ceiling was so low that you could not stand up in that part. We decided to pay for an upgrade to a junior suit and got a beautiful large room with stunning views. The guy in the reception really does not make you feel welcome but the rest of the staff is okay.

Very remote from Florence. We had an attic room no view. Were not made very welcome. Felt like pre-paid American tourists not at all appreciated.

The Villa la Borghetha - close to Chianti area

Everything was fine: the location, the food, the service, even not being in summer time. The acess is easy and it is prety close to \"chianti area\", easy to travel to all amazing cities that must be visited. Don't miss the \"capuccino\" in the breakfast, one of the best that I have ever tried.

Worst stay ever.

Firstly, the reception desk was unattended.
Secondly, the receptionist was not receptive to our needs.
Thirdly, after our 36 hr flight from Australia followed by a 3hr drive from Rome to the Hotel we were meet with the receptionist informing us that the room would
not be available till 4pm (we arrived at 2pm).
When we finally got to our \"Charm Room\" the room was far from charming, there was barley enough room for the bed let alone any baggage.
In conclusion, we do not recommend this Hotel and in fact have since found far
better hotels in the area.

Hope to go back...but...

We had a super stay, fabulous setting, good facilities, excellent restaurant. The only disappointing aspect was that there was a wedding reception in the hotel on the Saturday night. We were not informed therefore removing the option of going out to eat that night. As it is we had to endure what I can only describe as a football crowd background to what should have been a quiet, romantic meal. The noise lasted until at least 1am!

Excellent hotel I will be back as soon as I can

Very nice Villa in the middle of the Tuscany Valley, food is excellent, services and room comfort. Great location very closed to great places to visit like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, etc. I will recommend it 100 %, great for honeymooners.

Das gute Abendessen war der einzige Lichtblick

vor 16 Jahren waren wir begeistert vom Personal von dieser tollen alten Villa. Leider ist nur noch \"alt\" geblieben. Wir fühlten uns nicht Willkommen. Nicht einmal ein Bongiorno, oder einen Blickkontakt waren wir dem Personal wert. Keine Dienstleistung freiwillig. Das Zimmer hätte eine dringende Renovation nötig.

Bäder schimmelig - siehe Fotos, Lüftung zu laut zum schlafen und kann nicht abgestellt werden,
Ohne Warnung dann eine Hochzeitsfeier des Hotels direkt bei unserem Zimmer , Beschwerden der Gäste werden ignoriert, kein Manager vor Ort, kein Schlaf möglich, Polizeieinsatz erforderlich

- ich will mein Geld komplett zurück.

O local é ótimo , escolhi um quarto standard , bem pequeno porém arrumadinho . Mas o café deixa a desejar para um resort e não tinha shampoo nem sabonete para banho no quarto . Tive que pedir. Não sei se não era para ter ou esqueceram . As piscinas são ótimas .

Gute Basis für Florenz Besuch und Chianti Gebiet

Ohne GPS schwer zu finden, die Beschreibung auf der Homepage ist völlig ungenügend. Die Lage und der Ausblick entsprechen den Erwartungen. Der Lift mit einmaligen drei Türen ist ein Erlebnis für sich, es kracht und knarrt sodass man immer froh ist ausgestiegen zu sein. Ein Doppelzimmer mit einem einzigen Stuhl ist seltsam, Bett und Bad ausgezeichnet. Das Restaurant ist abends empfehlenswert, wenn auch einmal das Schweinsfilet zäh war. Frühstücksbuffet ist ausreichend wenn auch nur 3-Stern Standard. Gewöhnungsbedürftig waren z.B. die kleine Plastik Teelöffel, für ein 4 Stern Hotel nicht zumutbar.Die Rezeption ist überwiegend freundlich besetzt, die im Zimmer befindliche Hotel Information bietet die stundenweise Miete eines Internet Zugangs samt Laptop an, welcher allerdings nicht funtkionstüchtig war. Gratis Wireless war im Zimmer nicht und manchmal nur schwach zu empfangen sodass die Lobby aufgesucht werden musste. Obwohl das Hotel Spa anscheinend einen guten Ruf geniesst, ist nicht ein einziges Exercise Gerät vorhanden.

Il personale alla reception al mio arrivo non è stato molto cortese, disguisendo circa il fatto di avere o meno la colazione inclusa. La mia prenotazione l'avevo fatta da un portale internet prevedendo la colazione (perchè per me è essenziale). Inoltre ritengo che un albergo della vostra categoria non possa prescindere dall'includere nel prezzo della stanza la colazione.
La sera a cena mi è stato confermato che invece la colazione era inclusa nella mia prenotazione, forse perchè avevo prentato la cena?o chissà?

We hebben hier vijf overnachtingen gehad. Mooie locatie met een fantastisch uitzicht. Mooie grote kamer met minibar. Enige minpunt was dat onze kamer een kleine raam had. Goed restaurant met authentieke gerechten. Aangenaam vertoeven aan en in het zwembad en genieten van het prachtige uitzicht en omgeving. Voor ons voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ottimo resort per rilassarsi

Ho prenotato una camera per una notte del 5 di Agosto per passare due giorni di relax con mia moglie.
L'ambiente è davvero bello immerso nel verde delle colline toscane. La struttura è accogliente ed elegante ed il personale cordiale. La SPA non è grandissima ma sufficiente e comunque mai affollata.
Abbiamo fatto anche dei massaggi da personale professuionalmente preparato.
Bella ancje la piscina all'aperto con bordo a filo panorama.
Anche il ristorante è ottimo ed incantevole la posizione nella terrazza a vista panoramica sul verde.
