We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the room was nice and clean, the bed was good and the shower was excellent. We stayed during the wine festival and the hotel is in the best spot if you like to be where the party is. The music is loud and plays until 3am so if you are not partying don’t expect to get any sleep before then. There is no fridge in the room but you can get one for 5 francs or you can store items for free in their fridge.

At the heart of the old town. The hotel would provide you with the city pass (free) with access to all museums and local transpositions (buses and trains) in the same surroundings. Do not miss to go to La Chaucer-de-Fonda for the international Time museum. A must see. Highly recommend the place.

Great location near the old city and by the lake front. We had to move rooms as the sink plug was stuck down in the first room but this was done quickly by helpful receptionist. Pillows were very soft but room change meant we could take pillows with us to have extra ones which made it more comfortable. Air conditioning units cooled the room but were very noisy. We had a roof facing room which was quiet. Very nice dinner at the Chinese buffet under the hotel! Convenient underground parking short walk away.

Very friendly hotel next to the lake. Excellent location for the use of public transport, free with the canton Tourist Ticket. This gives free travel in the entire canton. This will save you a fortune.

Older hotel but great location

The location of this hotel is really the selling point. It has views of the lake and is very central. The windows aren't the newest so you can hear the noise from the adjacent bar but the hotel thoughtfully provide earplugs for this very reason. The hotel itself is a little tired but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom functional. It was quite clean too. One of the best bits about the stay is the hotel provides you with a booklet of tickets for local attractions so you can have a boat trip, muséum visit and go to the botanical gardens all for free. It's also a travel pass so you can use public transport too.

A great location right in the centre of town. Friendly and helpful staff. A lovely bonus was the free travel and visitor pass for the duration of our stay given by the hotel.
The bathrooms could do with an update but were very clean. Breakfast coffee is from a machine, ok but not all options were working.

We paid extra for a \"lake view.\" What we didn't know until after check in was that the \"lake view\" also overlooked a festival area and we were informed only after check-in that there would be loud music played just below our window until 2 a.m.!! We were cheerfully provided with free earplugs. SO, it's a nice enough hotel in a convenient location, but having loud music immediately adjacent to the hotel is ridiculous (ironically, I think the cheaper \"non lake view\" rooms would have been fine, as they're on the completely opposite side of the building).

I was on a solo cycling tour and had pre booked to stay 1 night. The hotel staff were very welcoming and a good breakfast was provided.
The hotel is in a fantastic location right on the edge of lake and close to the CBD. Unfortunately during my visit it was raining heavily so did not explore too much of the local area.

Great staff on check-in. We also had to check-in later in the evening on our second night and they easily made arrangement for using the lock box outside the hotel. The room was clean and neat as was the hotel. The location is excellent in Neuchatel. The one draw back was that the doors between the adjoining rooms do not offer much sound protection and I could easily hear coughing and snoring from the neighboring room. Otherwise not back experience.

There was very noisy construction going on in the hotel during the day. Not a problem for us as we were out, but quite inconvenient if you are looking for peace. Make sure to request a non-smoking room if that is what you want. The rooms are small but clean. In order to have cool air, you must leave the window open which means bright sunlight and a great deal of street traffic.

Well positioned hotel, only budget hotel on lakeside,helpful receptionists. No free wi fi in hotel and no tea/coffee maker in room, very reasonable room rate makes up for lack of facilities. Visitors should note free wi fi market square.very pretty old town

The hotel couldn't be in more picturesque setting -- right beside the lake of Neuchatel, with the Swiss Alps behind it -- but it is old and ugly, in sorry need of updating. Terribly hot in August, no fan. Really nice staff, but not even they could make up for the ugliness of the hotel.

Décevant malgré l’accueil

Personnel d’accueil très aimable et excellent emplacement.
Pour le reste… très moyen : confort minimum (pas d’oreiller supplémentaire, juste savonnette et gel douche/shampooing), la réception ferme autour de 20h. Mieux vaut ne rien avoir à demander plus tard !
Nous n’avons pas pris le petit-déjeuner sur place mais ce que nous en avons aperçu n’était guère attirant.
La façade l’hôtel donne le ton général.
Notre déception est tempérée par l’accueil vraiment aimable de tous les membres du personnel que nous avons vus.

Das Hotel am Hafen ist super zentral. Wir hatten ein hübsches Eckzimmer zum Hafen. Das Badezimmer war etwas schmal, aber mir haben die Fliesen sehr gut gefallen.
Es war schön ruhig in der Nacht (Wintersaison). Im Zimmer hat es eine Heizung und für den Sommer hätte es auch ein Klimagerät.

Bel établissement, très bien situé pour visiter la ville. La possibilité de payer 10 francs a l'hôtel et d'avoir une carte pour la journée de stationnement est top. Probablement valable dans les autres établissements.
Seul bémol, nous avons pris et payé plus cher une chambre avec vue sur le port, en fait nous avions une vue arbres!!
Petit déjeuner correct sans plus compte tenu du prix 19 francs \" mais nous sommes en Suisse '

Très satisfaite de mon séjour. L’hôtel est très bien situé, juste à côté du lac où l’on peut se poser pour profiter de la vue, voire se baigner, mais est aussi tout près du centre ville. Tout peut se faire à pieds, y compris l’arrivée depuis la gare (entre 10 et 15 minutes de marche). La chambre est propre, je n’ai pas fait appel au service de chambre étant donné la courte durée de mon séjour. L’hôtel est très calme et le personnel est agréable et disponible.
