Beautiful

Beautiful, accommodating, off grid, stunning views. Google will misdirect you. As soon as it says turn left off the road, instead go straight ahead for 2 km and pick up the signs on the lampposts. Don’t come off the road. Go straight ahead. Ask to see the spa. It’s historical and amazing. Didn’t have a treatment. Would love to next time xxx

Historic property built in 1777 as a spa originally over thermal springs. Beautiful courtyard, rustic charm, friendly staff. Dining room is very nice but not an extensive menu.

The staff was very friendly. The view of Almeria was beautiful. The dinner was excellent. In particular the eggplant fries were delicious.
It is remote and was not on the Garmin GPS. We were glad to arrive and depart during daylight to better follow the winding mountain road.

A Gem

This gem is off the beaten track, however it is worth the scenic drive. Certainly not your run of the mill hotel, loads of character. Interesting location, great for little walks, good food. We had a small room, but we probably chose the cheapest accommodation. We did a side visit to the Spaghetti Western sights, fun and close by. Watch out for deer, we saw 2 just on the roadside.

Very peaceful and all facilites available are never ending. The hot water bath makes it all worth. Outside the hotel there is the best tapas cafe in the whole of Spain. Terrace to relax in sunbeds at sunset, Rosa does wonderful facials and relieve therapy massages, in sum if feels like home

Historic Spa in delightful setting.

The 2 star Rural classification, and the price you pay, tells you not to expect extravagant modern luxury, an army of multilingual staff eager to satisfy your every whim, meticulous housekeeping, and exotic haute cuisine. What you get is a spectacular hillside location in a delightful green oasis irrigated by the hot spring, among the arid mountains with their intriguing geology and hardy vegetation. The spring also feeds the hot mineral baths, originally dating from pre-Roman times and re-built by the Moors, which form part of the ancient spa where excellent massage treatments are also available. Our room, with a splendid view down to the coast, was actually a suite with simple furnishings but a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast is basic but adequate, and dinner is simple but fully acceptable, with a wide choice of good wines, all priced very reasonably. The management does not speak English, and is business-like rather than effusively welcoming but, if you do not speak Spanish, a friendly smile and a little basic German will get you what you want. Align your expectations, adapt, and enjoy the location (an easy 30 minute drive from Almeria airport), the surroundings, and the peaceful tranquility of the ancient Moorish courtyard with mature orange trees and a small fountain. If you feel more adventurous, walk and scramble up the neighbouring barranco which zig-zags up between steep hillsides where you might be lucky, as I was, to come across a family of Ibex.

Wonderful oasis in the desert.

The thermal spring water, bathed in and drunk to soothe you inside and out. The tank room was the most amazing, floating experience. Do indulge in a massage too.

Can't praise the staff highly enough and the food was excellent, fresh fruit and veg from the hotel garden.

Superior double room with views to south brought the outside into the room.

What an amazing place.

WOW, what an amazing and romantic place to stay. It is located far enough way from the city to make it quite and quaint, but not to far. The drive here is breath taking with the twisting and winding road that offer incredible view of the Mediterranean and country side. When you arrive at the hotel you will know the trip was worth the time. Check into your room and ask for a tour of the hotel and old baths. Book an hour in the old baths. This is something you will never forget. Don't forget to check out both of the small restaurant/bar options for some afternoon entertainment and then rest and relax the for the night.
This is one of the top 5 places my wife and I have stayed. Beware, this is not a 5 star posh hotel, but it is a place you will always remember. The office is located on the upper back middle side of the building, if your are not careful you may miss it.

Delightful Surprise in the Mountains

There were 4 of us in 2 separate rooms. The location was ideal for us as we were working our way towards Granada from Cabo de Gata. Our room with a double bed was beautiful with a separate sitting area and each room had windows opening to a view in the distance of the sea. Very quiet area with lots of bicycle traffic. The building was charming with ruins all around. The rooftop was great for views. It was a charming place and the staff was delightful. We ended up eating dinner there 2 nights and the food was fabulous. I would recommend and stay there again but schedule a massage ahead of time.

Posto molto caratteristico, mi è piaciuto molto lo stile tipico sia del piccolo chiostro che della camera. Camera spaziosa e pulita, personale gentile e disponibile. Unica pecca è la mancanza di aria condizionata, sopperita in parte da un grosso ventilatore al soffitto.

Vi kom på ettermiddagen, de brukte 20 minutter på å sjekke oss inn, da vi fikk rommet slo kloakk lukten mot oss, ingen internett på rommene og dårlig luft gjorde at vi reiste igjen uten å overnatte. Ikke bo her!!!

Un havre de paix presque au bout du monde. La vue (nous avions une chambre donnant sur la vallée), les parfums de l'arbre aromatique de la cours interieure participent à cette atmosphère unique.
Le seul bémol, une fuite de la chasse d'eau fit perdre le peu d'eau fraîche réalisable à partir des sources d'eau chaude. La température des douches et de la chambre grimpèrent.
Dommage qu'il n'y ait eu que des ventilateurs. Une climatisation serait bienvenue en Août. Première nuit suffocante. Possibilité d'ouvrir les fenêtres sans crainte ds moustiques.
Masseurs très sérieux pour nous 4 (couple+2 filles)
Ristourne sur le prix global proposée spontanément par la responsable.
Nous recommandons cet hôtel.

El entorno es maravilloso y las instalaciones antiguas pero buenas. Ideal para invierno o cuando no haga calor. No tiene aire acondicionado, tiene ventilador pero no suficiente para personas calurosas como yo. Por lo demás muy bien. Volveré en invierno.

Er du til fred og ro,- er dette stedet.. Hotellet er bygget på resterne af et Romersk termisk bad og fremstår \"rimeligt\" autentisk! Værelserne har en (for de fleste) en fantastisk udsigt og med god størrelse. Desværre en alt for lille, og ukomfortabel dobbeltseng!
Restauranten er autentisk \"Arabisk\" med god og nærende bonde kost. Morgenmaden er ringe med optøet daggammelt brød og sparsom kaffe. Husene i landsbyen kan tælles på en hånd og rummer en Cafe med udmærket Tapas, men lukker desværre tidligt..
Er du til traveturer går der fra landsbyen en nem og smuk 7 km. \"Camino\" ned til dalen. Tag bussen op!

El hotel necesita un cambio general,la mujer que esta en recepción no es necesario que haga la ola cuando ve llegar a los huéspedes pero por lo menos un poco de simpatía y amabilidad y en general necesita no una reforma si no un cambio de mobiliario y un poco de mantenimiento,incluso habiendo reservado para 4 personas la habitación y habiendo llamado el día de antes que íbamos a llegar sobre las 20:00 todavía no estaba la cama supletoria preparada, yo no volvería allí ni regalado.

Pour une nuit ça vas surtout en septembre

Notre séjour qui devait duré 3 nuits,nous n'en avons fait que deux
Aucune communication avec la propriétaire,, car on ne parle pas espagnol, donc elle s'énerve ,,
Arrivée vendredi soir pas de resto. ,et un simple bar, à-côté, sinon décendre la montagne pour aller à almeria ,
Pas de descriptif n'on plus en anglais. Bref mal reçue ,.
Dommage c'est un hôtel très atypique,.

Hotel au calme, avec des Termes qui arrivent directement en dessous de l'hotel. Grandes chambres, climatisation a bout de souffle, en été difficile d'avoir de l'eau froide aux robinets. Un restaurant qui ne propose que des menus, pas de tapas (dommage). Petit déjeuner à partir de 9H seulement.
