Check in was with the sister hotel across the road. My main gripe was that the bathroom door wouldn't shut, due to the carpet/tile connector thing. It would never have shut. Goodness knows why this isnt a known problem. The reason for shuttingbthe door was to keep the street noise out.

The hotel was in a nice place close to everything a lot of shops and restaurants and coffee shops is in the city center about 10 minutes away from the beach. The breakfast was good a lot of things to eat and fresh orange juice and a lot of cakes and coffee.

Theres NO bar/restaurant onsite,as advertised. Theres a bar next doir that closes from 4pm to 8pm,and the staff are not very friendly, like its an effort for them to do their job. Disappointing overall.

Excellent Hotel Right Downtown

This hotel vastly exceeded my expectations: my room was huge and recently renovated. The hotel is right downtown, so it is a short walk to everything--and yet I had no issues with noise.

The one minor snag was that my room was located in the building across the street from main reception, and I had to return to the front desk to get them to show me where exactly my room was. But once they showed me, I had no more issues.

Centrally located, there seem to be several properties under Torreluz name and the check-in seems administered at Nuevo Torreluz hotel.
Due to works at Torreluz Centro I was put into Nuevo Torreluz which has 1 more star - so no complaints about my stay, but perhaps of little use to others.

The address on the booking is not correct as under that address the hitel undergoes renovation and was shut. I was scared i was being scammed so went amd asked the nearest hotel at the squere and turned iut it was tge hotel. Staff was friendly and bed really big and comfirtable. Pressure in the shower was weak and breakfast could be much better.

The Good, The Bad and the Noisy

The amount of noise from the street at night made sleep difficult as did noise from a nextdoor room ( the walls are thin). When we entered the room we discovered a broken chair, a non-working hairdryer, and a window blind that would not close. Those were repaired/replaced the next day when we notified the front desk. The beds were also painfully old. Wifi acted up at times too.
We did enjoy the excellent breakfast and nearby parking that we, of course, prepaid for.
The staff was also very accommodating.
Although the street noise was appalling at night, the hotel is truly located perfectly for restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing.
So we feel that the “ glass 1/2 full, glass 1/2 empty “ rule sums up our feelings about the hotel.

At Almeira in general, parking is a bit of a challenge. Whether it is to find a spot or garage or to actually maneuver your car into the desired spot.
Given the hotel's location, most interesting spots are easily reached by foot.

Central City Hotel

We have stayed here many times and it is always excellent value. In a square in the centre of Almeria with quick and easy access to the shops, bars and restaurants, it's location is perfect. The rooms are spacious with aircon and satellite tv; the bathrooms are newly renovated and there is always plenty of hot water - which can be a problem in some hotels.
We heartily recommend it!

Checked In and Checked Right Out!

I couldn't stay there. I took one look at the room and it was so small and dingy, I had to leave. They would not refund me, which is understandable I suppose, but they were fully booked and had other people in line at the desk looking for a room, so they were going to make money from me and someone else for that night - it would have been nice if they had let me off the hook ... but anyway, I took the loss and booked a stay at a place on the beach.
There were two guys at the front desk, one of whom was nice, the other of whom was gruff, verging on rude. Before I even checked in, he barked at me over a reservation mistake HE had made, so I can’t even say they are organized.
Note: there are two buildings to this hotel, one old and one new. The new hotel may be better, but the old one, where I was booked, was creepy. Might be OK for 18-year-old backpackers, but anyone who wants comfort and moderately nice aesthetics should think about going someplace else.

The hotel is in the perfect location in Almeria, a short walk from all the tapas bars, cathedral and fort, plus only 10 mins walk from the beach. The facilities are good too, excellent value for money. One thing to note - you need to check in at the Nuevo Torreluz so don't waste time hanging around at the Torreluz Centro desk as it's never manned (despite the back in 10 minutes notice!)

We really liked the hotel and staff.As most of Spanish in this region doesn't speak English so does staff, but we loved it- it was absolutely incredible experience, they are friendly. Even tough they speak Spanish they will explain everything slowly and patiently, showing and guiding you until you'll get it. Close to all important places and must-see sights. For us no fridge in room was the problem.There was also problem with parking-we couldn't find it even with the directions because some of the streets was closed.Room and bathroom was really clean, so we liked it, It is a quiet hotel even though it is located in the heart of the town.

Was disappointed on entering my room to see there was no bath and the room was quite small but adequate. However, on speaking to reception they immediately upgraded me for 6 euros to a superior room which was great. Wifi is provided free of charge but unfortunately I couldn't get it to work on my iPad nor iPhone so check this out first.

Ideal location in the heart of Almeria

Torreluz II, next door to Torreluz, is under mutual management, and the only downgraded element is that the rooms aren't appointed with great finery ... but they have everything you need, including a hair dryer, an in-room safe (key must be secured from front desk), wifi and a comfortable bed. No mini-bar? Who cares? One of the finest tapas bars in the city is at your feet. Anything you want to do in the old part of Almeria is also within a 10 minute walk, including the Alcazaba or a stroll to the seafront. The staff were extremely thoughtful and caring after a lost luggage incident. I can't praise the hotel enough.

As usual the reception staff were not exactly unfriendly, but not welcoming either. The room is very basic, with thin frayed towels and water in the shower which keeps going from hot to cold to hot again. Hotel bar is really unfriendly and often closed. Horrible noise from rooms either side of ours, I could hear every word. We were happy with this hotel and its basic facilities when the price was much lower, but now the price is the same as many other better hotels, so I doubt we'll stay here again.

Hotellin sijainti oli loistava keskellä kaupunkia. Kaikki nähtävyydet oli kävelymatkan päässä.
Huone oli siisti ja tilava. Ikkunasta näkymä vain talon katolle. Äänieristys lähes olematon, juhliva pariskunta valvotti meitä toisen yön. Puhe erottuu selvästi, samoin kännykän piippaukset jne. Yövyimme hotellissa 2 yötä arkena, ja saimme toisen yön nukuttua suht ok. Viikonloppuisin voi olla haastavampaa.
Aamupala ok, vaikkakin pekonit ja muut \"lämpimät\" ruuat oli kylmiä ja salaatit ym. Puuttui kokonaan.
Voisimme yöpyä arkena uudestaan yön pari, mutta ensi kerralla korvatulppia mukaan.

El hotel tiene muchos años y se nota. Habitaciones donde se oía bastante a otras colindantes, y mobiliario anticuado que puede renovarse.
En cuanto a lo bueno, excelente calidad precio, muy económico y en una ubicación ideal para recorrer Almería a pie, además de que las camas son comodísimas. Aparcar en la calle es misión casi imposible, aunque por poco más de 13€ al día, se puede aparcar en un parking con convenio muy cercano.
Teniendo en cuenta lo que te vas a encontrar, yo repetiría si volviera a Almería.

La publicidad es engañosa porque yo buscaba un hotel de 4 estrellas y este es de 2 estrellas, pero en la foto que ocupa toda la pnatalla te ponen el hotel torreluz de 4 estrellas, que es más nuevo. La crítica va también para hoteles.com, porque una vez reservado ya no podía cambiar.
Una vez en el hotel tienes que ir a hacer chek-in al edificio nuevo (por cierto, todas las veces que fui había alguien quejándose en recepción).
La habitación es amplia y la cama cómoda, pero le hace falta una reforma. En el baño no habían recogido los envoltorios de las pastillas de jabón de los anteriores inquilinos. Y faltan muebles, uso gafas y me gusta poner el móvil de noche junto con las gafas en la mesita de noche, pero no tenía mesita de noche, solo los agujeros en el cabecero donde debería de estar atornillado el tablero que hace de mesita.
Y la protección de datos se la saltan cuando ponen en la pared del ascensor una lista con los nombres y apellidos de las personas que hacen allí el desayuno.

Hotel bien situado pero que necesita una reforma sobre todo del cuarto de baño pues la bañera tiene cortinillas de plástico. El cerramiento e insonorización de las ventanas es prácticamente nula y se escucha a la gente cuando está en la calle.

Cuando reservé no me salió la opción del parking, algo muy necesario debido a la ubicación del hotel. La habitación que pedí era para 3 y era evidente que no estaba pensada para eso, la cama supletoria era de peor calidad y era necesario subirte a ella para poder subir la persiana o abrir la cortina.. Lo que mas me disgustó fue la bañera, fui la primera en entrar a ducharme y había un pelo en la bañera, una vez dentro el espacio quedaba muy reducido debido a una cortina muy gruesa que había para tapar una ventana que daba a la calle. Es decir, al ducharte tenias la cortina de la ducha en un lado y la de la ventana en el otro, yo mido 1.60 y peso 65 kg y me costó no rozarme con una u otra al ducharme.

Muy bien, cómodo y muy limpio, muy buena ubicación, dos cosas negativas, una, es que no están insonorizadas las habitaciones, y al estar situado junto a a una calle de bares, el ruido se escucha bastante, y la segunda es que en la web, entre los servicios que ofrece, es el aparcamiento, pero no dice que es de pago aparte 11.90€

Establecimiento historico y muy centrico. Personal de recepcion muy profesional. Aunque disponen de garaje el acceso en vehículo privado es complicado por la configuración de las calles.
