Have been to hotel many times but not since new owners. The thing that made this hotel so before was there parking facilities at the hotel. Hopefully this will return. Still no tea and coffee facilities in room so take our own. Room had a bath and could do with a handle for older people but hope they will refurbish and put walk in showers. All new staff at check in and very friendly.

Great location near the Alcazabar, cathedral, restaurants and more. The pool has amazing views of the Alcázabar. Room was huge and clean. Would have loved to have Spanish pillows instead of hotel pillows just because they are more comfortable. But other than that everything was great

Hotel parking outside wasn’t obvious on arrival, missed it the first time we drove past, valet parking helpful and when we wanted the car the next morning this was quickly returned. Hotel location is excellent, however disappointed to be woken at 7am on a Sunday by street cleaning and chairs being dragged across the floor

The hotel was very central and the staff were very friendly and quick check in, but the room itself needed refurbishment,Almeria was very nice not too far from hotel to the beach The room was not very nice it smelled of damp and the floor was a mess I think someone must have flooded the shower.

This hotel is NOT a great value for money especially in times of COVID-19. We paid for breakfast but only got a single piece of bread and a glass of orange juice (or the only type of juice offered by the hotel). I would advise travelers to not waste their money on breakfast at this property but go and grab a bite outside instead.
The pool area was closed during our stay.
The room was very outdated and with a view of l concrete rooftops. The WiFi didn’t work properly and disconnected every couple of minutes.

Great location. Staff friendly, spoke just enough english. Breakfast was good, only hot items were scrambled egg and bacon but continental selection was great and Nespresso machines were a novelty. Room was far too hot and couldnt have window open overnight as couldnt lock it only part way open and because we were on the ground floor and looked out into small communal courtyard didnt feel safe. Complained to reception and they said whole hotel heating/cooling was not going to be switched to cooling but they would turn off the heating. Second /last night was just as hot though. Bed moved about a fair bit and mattress wasnt the most comfortable. Pillows were good though

We have stayed here many times for a city break. Unfortunately the room we were in this time and other times, had the open plan bathroom. Which doesn't work, shower leaked over floor, felt like changing in the corridor, no privacy going to the toilet - not very romantic!!!! Why oh why do hotels think these types of bathrooms are cool??? Not all the rooms have these types of bathrooms, guess it's the luck?!? Otherwise, hotel is fine for a short stay in Almeria.

Brilliant location

Locatiion of the hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of everything.Pool on the 3rd floor was very clean and quiet, also towels were provided. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean sheets were put on the beds everyday and were very good quality.
We will certainly return to this hotel in the near future.

Bar staff needed to be called in when service required. Reception Staff had no knowledge about a Tour Offer that was in the reception area.
Overall though a good place to stay. Parking available for free. In easy walking distance to most sightseeing opportunities.

Perfect location in the old town

Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms. Pool very small and only able to access the roof terrace during pool opening times. Also we didn’t see the bar open during our stay which is a shame as it would’ve been nice to have a drink on an evening there. Would still recommend this hotel as ideal location for the shops, castle, bus route and a plethora of excellent tapas bars.

the hotel is clean and well looked after, and the staff were helpful, the sun terrace and pool was very enjoyable. the breakfast was continental and of a very high standard. however there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. and the air con did not work very well and this made the room unbearably hot at night.
the room we were in was next to a side street and at night was very noisy until silly o clock every night. if we were to stay there again we would insist on a quiet room with good air con.

Stunning view from rooftop pool of the old city walls and fortress.
Room very spacious with a separate room with sofa, table and four chairs. Probably ideal for business travellers but not used by us on holiday.
Bed was huge, very comfy, bathroom lovely. No view from the window (a brick wall) but it's in the middle of a town so couldn't expect much.
In theory, the hotel was faultless but the reality was that it lacked any charm. It would be great for business travellers or indeed anyone who wants a hotel where good quality is the norm.

centrally situated hotel

We stayed for a week and the hotel was well situated for the Alcazabar, the cathedral, the air raid shelters, the shops and the tapas bars. It was a long walk to the beach but the hotel on the rooftop had sun loungers and parasols. The only reservation would be sometimes there was a shortage of parasols and sun loungers. The staff were pleasant and one of the staff organised our trip into the cabo de gata. If going back to Almeria we would definitely stay here again.

Set in old town. Pleasant. Vaket Parking underground worth the money. Never used bar in hotel, wasn't a proper bar. Reception ran it when there. Cold and no atmosphere to lounge. Breakfast Buffett worth the 12 euros. Very varied.
Bedroom clean ample space but wallpaper peeling in one area.
Rooftop pool clean not enough sun lounger but plenty if tables and chairs. Towels provided.
Would use hotel again if in the area. But doubt would visit almeria again.

Ideal for short break

The hotel was modern and in a great location. Could walk to everything..cathedral,castle,shops,bars restaurants and beach. Staff were helpful and polite.
Only 2 small criticisms..we had a fridge in room but would have been ideal to add tea/coffee facilities in too! And bar by pool only opened in evenings(delicious cocktails!) so had to keep going back to room or elsewhere for drinks if sunbathing in afternoon.

Not ready on arrival nd wrong rooms allocated

We booked tho hotel more than 2 months in advance of our stay. Having been told our 3 children could not share a room we ended up having to book 3 separate rooms. We arrived at 3.45pm after a 6 hour drive to be told only one room was ready (check in from 3pm). When the others became available they were not what we had booked.
After complaining to Reception and being told there was no double room available on the same floor as our children, a double room was allocated to us. On the same floor as our children. Basically a lot of hassle for no discernable reason.
I would suggest ringing the hotel in advance to specify your room choice. Don't rely on an internet booking

The reason I booked the hotel was I had spied the pool whilst staying across the plaza, at Nuevo Torreluz. I knew it would be hot in June in Almeria, and it was my partners birthday, so I thought we'd splash out (scuse the pun). The pool however is nothing like as swanky as it looks from afar. It is only open from 11am so no lovely early morning fresh swims. And when it is open it is hot, no shade, and full, like a municipal baths, with kids yelling, gangs of tattooed men sitting in the shallow end with cans of beer. There is a stack of furniture - tables and chairs - I don't know what for - all the beds are bagged by the extras from Sexy Beast, and no one using the shower before the pool - so pretty soupy by the end of the day. The hotel has appalling disabled access - steps from lobby to lift, spiral staircase to dining area, and a trip hazard step in the lobby, for a dramatic entry. The clientele seem to be mainly men doing business and conferences. When we arrived we had to weave our way through about 100 children waiting to take an exam, sitting on the stairs and jamming the lobby. The noise of that many anxious kids, and their chaperones.. it felt like a casting for Masterchef Junior. Very comfy beds, beautiful linen. Staff perfectly fine. But not what I'd hoped for.

My friend and I enjoyed a relaxing break in Almeria, staying at this hotel. It was well placed for visiting the sights, shopping and finding good food and drink. The sunbeds were a bonus for relaxing in the late afternoons although it was too early in the year to use the (small) pool.

Great location hotel.

We came to celebrate my husbands birthday and as all ways we had a lovely time. The hotel is very central for shops, tapas bars and restaurants. Plus it's great to be able to park the car at the hotel. The only thing that lets it down and I think it's more of a British thing, is that the rooms would be so much better if they had tea and coffee making facilities. But hope to return again in November for a girls weekend for my birthday.

When asked about this was told it was a superior room.
Roof top pool small but nice to cool off. Limited sun beds though & only open from 11am-8pm.
Lovely breakfast with fresh coffee,pastries,breads,ham,cheese,fruits etc,
