Convenient for transport to and from London with a pleasant bar and beer garden to relax in at the end of a busy day in the city. Charming hotel with very friendly staff that is a great central for day trips to Windsor, Hampton Court, and London. The train station is a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. The hotel is kitty corner to the Thames. You can walk 5-10 min to restaurants, or enjoy the one at the hotel. Room was spacious and had all the necessary amenities. The car park for guests is the icing on the cake.

Overall, we had a lovely stay at The White Hart. We're from the US, and so our review is based on the perspective of what is standard here in the US. The family room was fine, a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed for our teenage daughter.
AC was a window unit, and a bit finnicky, it would turn off but not turn back on, and it would get a little hot and we would manually restart even though it was on auto. The included breakfast was great, and the dinner menu was good.
The only other gripe, we had our room serviced daily at our request for the 4 days, and each day, something was missed and we would have to ask, and then they would quickly bring it. We had no hand soap one day, no towels another day, no toilet paper a third day. First world problem, but slightly frustrating. We would stay here again, and the overall price was reasonable.

What can I say. We stayed here with our Chocolate Retreiver and never thought it would be so dog friendly and easy, the room was so comfortable, clean with plenty of room. We especially enjoyed the tea pot and nespresso maker- both replenished with supplies each day - including a small bottle of milk in the fridge. Breakfast was in the charming old pub room. Full English and other choices of hot breakfasts to order, as well as pastries, yogurt, cereal, juice and fruit. We also had dinner in the pub several nights and found the food very good. The location of the hotel was perfect- it is on a busy street but most rooms are on the back and ours was completely quiet at night. Kingston and the river trail are right on the doorstep and we walked everywhere. The staff were so great in helping us learn the bus and train schedules. We took the train into London 2 days (30 minute train ride), the bus to Hampton Court Palace which is nearby on another day, and the express bus to Heathrow airport. We totally recommend this Hotel- we will stay there again for sure!

I love this place. I travel regularly here for work. The rooms are classic and comfy , showers are good , the amenities in room are thoughtfully provided (eg great tea / coffee and shortbread!!). It’s quiet at night and parking is great. The pub / bar and staff are all excellent too. Food is a good price and staff couldn’t be more helpful. Definitely recommend. X

The staff were very nice especially the young girl behind the bar, we felt very welcome. We were disappointed with the room there was marks all over the walls, wall paper coming off, in the corner behind a chair was a chunk of plaster missing. Both lamps didn’t work either unfortunately, there is a lot of positives but it was just a shame the actual room let it down. Breakfast was great, parking wasn’t ideal very limited but luckily a staff member moved their car so we could park which we were very grateful for especially since we have a young child.

I get it, electricity is very expensive to heat hotel rooms, but I don’t think there was any heating on whole time we were there and the thermostat on the wall was disconnected. But there was a lovely hot shower, comfortable bed, and great breakfast. Would come back again maybe in summer when don’t need the heating on. Or stay on higher floors maybe, won’t be as cold. Other than that, the stay was perfect!

Lighting was rather subdued. Good selection for breakfast. Very similar to our last stat a year ago apart from steep price increase.

My stay at The White Hart Hotel was fantastic overall. The staff were great—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was excellent, with a lovely evening meal that felt homemade and a satisfying breakfast to start the day. Our rooms were warm and welcoming, creating a cozy atmosphere. We also appreciated the nice guide literature for local points of interest, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. To top it off, there was a good range of beers available at the bar. The room had dust in areas and it was very cold. I was unable to turn the aircon from cold to hot. I called the front desk and he said he would sort it but it was still blowing cold. I just wrapped up in bed and fell asleep in the end. I will say the bed was nice and comfy.

When arriving at the hotel the barrier went up automatically so I was expecting the same when I left. They did not advise I needed a code to leave so had to go back in to find this out.
