Hotel is very close to the motorway. I arrived at 21:30 but still got parked. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The whole place had a good vibe about it. Rooms were clean and functional, fan and small fridge were a welcome surprise. Bathroom was very clean and great shower. As a stay over hotel it ticked all the boxes.

Good for a quick stop

Check in was a bit long - the woman at the front was obviously trying to figure something out but it took her 5 minutes to even acknowledge me. Once she finished what she was doing - check in went fine
Bed was comfortable room was clean and staff in the morning felt much more approachable
The site says airport shuttle available - when you ask them they tell you that’s a cab and it’s 20 euros. Airport shuttle should not be on this site.

I understand that Ibis is a budget hotel, so I wasn't expecting luxury. However, not having basic amenities like a phone or TV in the room is quite surprising. If a guest needs anything, they're expected to physically go to the reception. I also needed to book a taxi to the airport, and the receptionist was extremely rude. When I inquired about the lack of a phone and TV, the response was simply, 'It is what it is.' This level of service is unacceptable. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

You definitely get what you pay for on this one. Rooms are dated and cold. Bathroom smelled of cigarettes and shower clearly hadn’t been cleaned in months.
Breakfast: 16€ per person was a basic European breakfast old greasy bacon sitting in a pan next to a pan of eggs which appeared to have also been there since breakfast started. The fresh juice and coffee was the best part.

Not an airport hotel

Hotel was very hood. Staff friendly. Checkin was painless the only problem was that we booked in for one night before early flight next morning. As it was advertised as an airport hotel we were disappointed and somewhat annoyed to discover it was a 15 drive from the airport. We had taken train to Fleurus as that is where the hotel is situated or so we thought. But No, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon to a deserted town with no means of getting to hotel or even knowing which way to get there. No taxis. Phoned hotel and Jean arranged for a taxi to collect us at the train station to bring us to hotel. Eventually all was ok. But it was a bit of an ordeal.

So many things to say in so little space. My biggest complaint is our room smelled awful! It smelled of rotten eggs and there was no way to get the smell out. When we went down to talk to someone at the front desk they weren't there. They seemed perpetually understaffed, busy, and a bit rude. Also be aware that they have elevators that will take you to a set of stairs you will need to take to each floor. The beds are like rocks. Just not a great experience at all.

No wake up call as there\"s no phone in the room. I asked if they could knock on my door incase the alarm didnt go off. I was told no thats not possible. Tea & Coffee facilities in the room would have been nice especially after a 2.45am start. The room was dirty, and stunk of cigarettes. Every time I went in the bathroom it made me gag with the smell. Quite noisy being on the main road. No shuttle Bus from the hotel, paid 25 euros from the airport to the hotel. And 15 euros back.Snacks available during the day, however there is a petrol station a few minutes away for fresh sandwiches and coffee. Would not recommend this hotel at all. Highly disappointed after an early start and long journey.

Minimal facilities in room.
No kettle to make tea.
Not near any shops for food
Wrote 4 emails about getting a taxi from airport but only one reply for a return to airport.
The taxi service from airport had extremely rude taxi drivers charging double the price.
I preordered early taxi for early flight return at hotel reception but taxi did not come.
Had to wait half an hour at 430am till 5am for another taxi.

Highly disappointing and did not serve its purpose

We stayed here as a stop over for one night to get a good night's sleep before taking a flight from Charleroi - unfortunately the experience did not deliver that - the room was okay but the walls are super thin and we essentially couldn't sleep all night because of the noise coming through from all directions. Would not recommend it. Also, the first room we were given was not cleaned and we had to change it - highly disappointing given the kind of precaution one would expect given the pandemic.

Reasonable hotel in the way from the UK to Switzerland. We booked 2 rooms, one was perfect, the other was booking hot sure to hearing left on full blast. Breakfast buffet would have been good, but not enough staff to refill. When we went for breakfast at 8am, half of the choice was empty.

Overnight stop in Belgium 2 hours from Dunkirk

I stayed here as I was driving back to Dunkirk the following morning.The hotel has the advantage that breakfast is available from 04:30 am onwards, so if you've got an early morning ferry from Dunkirk (which is about 2 hours drive away) then that's quite useful.

Nice and clean hotel with great breakfast menu (bread, cheese, eggs, coffee, croissant, milk and freshly squeezed orange juice) but horrible smell in the toilet (room 321) you cant breath inside, it should be fixed.

the name of the hotel is deceiving.
people think that is close to the Airport when booking, because there is another ibis hotel near the Airport, and then we realize that there's another IBIS, that is called IBIS Charleroi Airport, and not even in Charleroi is placed!! I'm very disappointed!

Nothing special, practical for the airport and close to the motorway. The twin room has 2 single beds as you would expect but if you are older than 10 you will find them very small. I was told that they went together - they don’t! Heating is an electric heater by the bed and has a mind of its own not ideal and I would have expected more from ibis.

Good Hotel but beware faulty Sat Nav directions.

The hotel was hard to find as thre seems to be an error in Sat Nav programming, my Sat Nav took me to a location over a km away and I had to ask someone for directions. Other guests said they'd had the same problem and mentioning it to the guy at reception he said they were aware there was a problem. Once I'd found the hotel it was fine.

It was a hot day and we had to have the windows open... there was a terrible septic smell coming into our room. In addition, there weren’t screens on the windows and so was covered in bug bites in the morning. They gave us one noisy floor fan that was meant to cool the whole room. A lower floor in a different part of the hotel might have been better. One of the worst nights I’ve ever spent in a hotel.

Great one night stay!

This hotel was a one-night stopover for us on our way to a flight leaving from Paris the following day. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and had everything we needed. The area surrounding the hotel is beautiful and worth exploring. Free parking is a bonus too! I would definitely stay here again if my travels brought me to this area.

Great hotel

Fabulous room with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Lovely and quiet despite being there the week before Xmas. Staff were friendly and helpful and amenities were great...just wished there were coffee and tea etc in the room. would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

Ideal Stopover!

We used this hotel as a one night stopover on the way to Luxembourg. As previous reviewers have said, the hotel was basic but very clean and ideal for what we wanted. The guy on reception was also very nice and helpful and spoke good english.

Have stayed here a few times now and yet again good service, comfy beds, good shower free wifi and very friendly helpful staff. This year stayed on outward and inbound journeys and inbound was pleasing to find the staff on reception remembered us and welcomed us like friends which was good customer service. Just off the motorway very handy to reach channel ports in a few hours. Will stay again without hesitation, well done Ibis

We stayed for 2 nights whilst in the area on business and found the hotel to be well situated and easy to find. Food was very expensive but the breakfast was very good and available from 4am. Noise was a problem during the night but is to be expected when the hotel is marketed for airport use although it is situated a little way from the airport.

No shuttle on weekends

There is no free shuttle on the weekend, and a taxi is 12.50 Euro. There is also an extra tax of 1.3 euro (not a big deal) but my husband didn't speak French and misunderstood her English to say that the charge was 130 Euro. When I got involved she was about to charge 20 Euro extra because we hadn't mentioned a child when we registered. I stepped in with pretty middling college French and she ended up waiving the unmentioned child fee. That said, the rooms were very serviceable plain dorm style rooms, clean and modern, and the wifi was strong.

Can be very noisy of an evening. Very easily to hear other people, hair dryers, showers etc etc. The staff are excellent and very helpful, please bear in mind that there is not an awful lot around the area, you would have to travel if you fancied eating out or sightseeing. The hotel food is nice but the menu is limited and the 24 hr meals are microwave meals. Rooms can be small if more than 2 people are sharing.

We had a Room at the Back of the Building and it was great no noise from Traffic ect. The Shower was great the Bed very comfortable and good Pillows. We came to this Hotel 5 month ago and we had a Room at the front of the Building, it was bit noisy but you have to expect that as its just off the Road.We will defenitely stay here again on our way back from our next Holiday.

Convenient location beside E42, but far enough from the noise. Actually a 10 min drive from the airport.
Friendly staff, adequate clean rooms, BBC on the TV, food OK. 10 min walk into Fleurus for shops etc. and countryside behind hotel.
Overall good value for money, but their admin lets them down. Tried to charge me for the room even though it was prepaid before I arrived.

Cependant l’hôtel est vieillissant, notre chambre devait être chauffée avec un convecteur posé dans la chambre et branché en plein milieux.

Il n’y avait qu’une seule prise dans la chambre et bien loin du lit.

De persoon aan de receptie is zeer vriendelijk. De bedmatras is zeer goed. Heel weinig omgevingslawaai. De eerste dag van onze overnachting waren er schimmels in de douche!!!!!!!! Werden de volgende dag verwijderd, maar de herinnering blijft!
