Very disappointing experience overall. Genuine concerns were raised respectfully but management were dismissive, defensive, and unwilling to properly listen or accommodate. Communication quickly became uncomfortable and unprofessional rather than solution-focused.

The property descriptions were also misleading in our experience, particularly regarding the level of privacy between room categories. It became apparent that some rooms offered significantly more privacy despite being described in materially the same way.

Overall, customer care felt very poor and the experience left us uncomfortable enough to leave on the same day.

Overall a great stay, but a few areas for potential guest to consider. The hotel needs some signs on the surrounding roads to find it, there is a very very steep hill for 400mtrs to reach it. Room pictures suggest more privacy than reality ….. path to other rooms is in front of you. Breakfast was great, staff friendly and amazing. Quiet location…. a car a must if you want to be easily mobile.

Small exclusive hotel as it's just 10 suites which all have the panoramic view and personal pool. Clean minimalist décor & scenery is very relaxing. The friendly owners and staff always ready to meet your needs which were few as the complimentary inclusives were very generous.The free parking was a great bonus for us as we hired a car to explored the island but if you don't want to drive Pyrgos town is walkable where there are plenty of good Restaurants/cafes etc. Good location for exploring the island but away from tourist crowds when relaxing

Absolute paradise

I found this hotel listed in a magazine article as a top place to stay in Santorini. We booked the non-refundable option (as it was the only one available) and crossed our fingers. Our stay at 5 night/6 days and it was at the tail end of our honeymoon (after Italy) and we were really looking forward to relaxing and doing nothing. The location is on the quieter side of the island and is quite secluded from the action. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Thrassus (apologies if I misspelled) who was the main contact/concierge while we were there. He personally made our stay spectacular, providing us perfect restaurant recommendations to suit our needs, setting up transportation and excursions, and even helping us out with a minor issue we had when my purse was taken and we lost our keys (and therefore our transportation back to the hotel) while we were out for the day. He sprung into action, sent someone to come get us, called the police for us and had wine waiting for us when we got back. This was above and beyond anything we've ever experienced anywhere else in the world. The room was incredible and the resort was so quiet and peaceful. They truly cater to whatever you need and go out of the way to make your stay unique and so special. The food (especially the bespoke breakfasts) is delicious and the spa treatments are wonderful. I recommend the Indian head massage and any of their body scrubs. The owner is also wonderful. Family run hotel and a luxury hotel of the world.

Best Hotel Ever

This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever seen. Each room has a spectacular view of the island and a private heated pool. The location is close enough to stores and local dining so walking is an easy way to get around. The town is generally pretty quiet, so it's very easy to get a good night of sleep. The hotel staff was absolutely amazing. The provide a delicious gourmet breakfast, and cater to your every need. Thrasos would ask us our plans each day and was very helpful with giving us guidance for areas to visit.

Simply beautiful

We stayed 5 nights at the Carpe Diem, as we were celebrating my fiance's 40th birthday.
The Hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff were so attentive to our needs. We enjoyed a huge chocolate birthday cake and red wine that they arranged for us to celebrate his birthday. The Hotel is very quite and secluded and set away from the surrounding towns therefore be prepared to take a taxi or hire a car! The Hotel food was lovely and I understand they will be adding more variety and choice. Just one observation, if you want a dip in the pool, make sure you choose a heated pool!

The hotel is stunning, with an amazing view over the island. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient, the room was checked several times a day and kept spotless! The suites are enormous and the private pools a fab idea, however not heated, so don't rely on them until later in the season (we were there in April). Use the spa, the treatments are pricy but worth it! Downside... Very steep hill to get to the village!

Hotel location great but not value for money

This hotel does not warrant any more than a 3 star rating due to several areas which could be improved. Bathroom was tired , whitewashed walls starting to go mouldy in places and a yellow bath which obviously started off being white. Wi-Fi only accessible on one extreme end of balcony and not inside . No privacy on the balconies. Restaurant meals although keenly priced, not great quality and very limited choice. Limited places to sit and have a pre dinner drink if the wind is blowing or there is adverse weather conditions.

I've thought we were in heaven

My daughter and I stayed here on the fourth leg of our round the world holiday. It was just what we needed. Tranquil surroundings, private pool, beautiful view and breakfast (feast) delivered to your room every morning...free! The food at the hotel was amazing and well priced, we ate in most nights and sampled nearly everything off the menu... Scrumptious! The room was amazing and well appointed. The staff were polite courteous and couldn't do enough to please us. The only thing I would of liked is a kettle, to make a tea or coffee when I pleased. I am going to convince my husband to go back there with me for a second honeymoon.

Quiet and private with a great view

Lovely suites. Quiet and private. I never saw anyone else use the super infinity pool while we where there. It offers great views over the island. The views may not be quite as good as you can get at Oia, but there you are crowded in with lots of people. Here you feel like it is your own.
Only a short walk to the village of Pyrgos above with bars and restaurants. Worth going further up the hill and finding \"the Traveller\" and \"Franco's\" for great food and drinks respectively. You will need a car to visit the beaches and other places of interest.

Lua de mel sem Spa

Estava em Lua de mel por 5 dias e não foi possível utilizar a sauna nem hidromassagem, pois o serviço de spa com esses itens e mais as massagens são cobrados separados, somente com agendamento, pois são privados um quarto por vez pode utilizar, se uma pessoa estiver fazendo massagem, ninguém pode usar a sauna e a hidro que era cobrado por tempo.

Optimal für erholungsuchende Kurzurlauber

Ist das Wetter schlecht, könnte man den Wellnessbereich nützen, doch der ist leider nicht voll funktionsfähig. Es gibt eine Dampfkammer die nicht in Betrieb ist, 2 Whirlpools die nicht warm sind, eine ganz kleine Saunakammer, die nicht richtig heiss ist, dazu keinen Behälter um einen Aufguss zu machen. Ebenso sind keine Badetücher oder Ablage vorhanden. Man muss den Bademantel oder Badeanzug auf den beiden Massagebetten ablegen. Aber das ist wirklich nur bei Schlechtwetter relevant.
Grundsätzlich ist die Lage sehr gut, weil abgelegen und dadurch ruhig, in Hanglage, mit schönem Blick. Das Frühstück wird aufs Zimmer gebracht, was sehr komfortabel ist, in den Juniorsuites gibt es nur Couchtische, wodurch das Essen nicht ganz optimal ist. Die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein, vor allem im Bad würde eine gründlichere Reinigung und Pflege der Armaturen dem Hotelstandard gut tun. Die Badetücher fürs Zimmer sind sehr hart, die für den Pool dafür sehr kuschelig.

Perfektes Hotel für Ruhebedürftige

Möchte man ausspannen, ausschlafen, in Ruhe Bücher lesen und trotzdem einen günstigen Standort für Ausflüge, ist der Platz ideal. Die Lage ist ruhig, mit tollem Ausblick, trotzdem ist man mit dem Auto in 10 min. in Fira. Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich, man bemüht sich um \"Unsichtbarkeit\".

Vom Spa darf man sich nicht zuviel erwarten, das sieht auf den Fotos besser aus. Die Dampfkammer funktionierte nicht und die beiden Whirlpools sind nur lauwarm. Das wäre grundsätzlich nicht schlimm, nur wenn es dort noch sehr kalt ist, wie im Mai 2013, würde man den Wellnessbereich gerne nützen. Eine Enttäuschung war für mich die Sauberkeit des Badezimmers. Mir graut vor fremden Haaren und ich mag es auch in den Ecken sauber. Was ich noch nie zuvor erlebte, waren offensichtlich schon mehrmals nachgefüllte Duschgels, in denen die Folienstücke der ehemaligen Versiegelungsfolie schwammen. Das ist zwar nicht wesentlich, da mein eigenes dabei hatte, dürfte aber bei so einem Hotel nicht passieren. Bei 10tägigem Aufenthalt würde ich mir in dieser Kategorie auch den Wechsel der Bettwäsche wünschen.

Un hotel che ti coccola

Il Carpe Diem è veramente un gioiellino, le camere sono ampie, pulite e soprattutto con un panorama mozzafiato.
Il servizio è ottimo, la colazione è servita in camera ed è ottima.
Lo consiglio alle coppie senza bambini!
