No one at front desk except e hours per day. Room was dirty, smells of fish, urine. Mop and bucket in closet. Power went out to the room for several hours. This motel should not be an available listing on Expedia. I complained to both Expedia and the hotel and nothing was done. I checked out two days early and no refund was given. An absolute horrible place to stay. Beware

Basic - no comforts.

Three colleagues stayed here for a week. They nearly checked straight back out when they entered the hotel. Be under no illusion that this is very, very basic. Not the place you would take your family to. It was very run down and not very clean. The price was expensive due to it being the week of MIPIM - so its a shame it was so poor.

Loved the view. Place was old and needed major renovation. Had ant infestation. Told the desk but nothing done. 3rd day they gave us ant spray. Granddaughter bit at night in bed. Anything on floor was covered in ants. Limited dishes.
Toilet ran constantly making noises. We thought it was a dog yelping. Told them but nothing done.
But Great View on deck. Needed key fob to enter gate and building. Fortunately we arrived when someone at desk. Not sure what people did who arrived when no one at desk- which was often.

Very run down areas. Although the pool was nice there isn’t a lot of time to use it. Close to train station and good view of ocean.

WIFI never worked in the room and she didn’t seem to care. Doorknob fell off upon entering and she didn’t seem to care. Not great communication.

1.The hotel is dated but has a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea.
2. It is very hard to get into until you check in there is a locked gate and the receptionist didn’t arrive until 4:40pm when the sign says 3:00 so we waited outside for over an hour and a half with 2 weeks worth of luggage

This is s very poor hotel apartment, no lights in the bathroom, i couldn't drain the sink, inside of the bath was stained black, bathroom units in very bad condition, the beds were very cheap, i moved during the night and a very heavy head board fell on my head, it was the most substantial thing in the room, I couldn’t get it to stand back up! The chair cushions had long since squashed flat, I couldn't even sit on the chair. I can’t remember anything this grim since I was back packing in Thailand in the 70s. It was almost impossible to find, or even get in. They took a €200 deposit, the entire contents of room could never have cost half of this when it was new. I cant tell you how happy I am to leave.

Very great 1 night stay in this apartment.. easy communication great staff and services. Very easy understand how to check in after 7 , hotels reception closing after 7 if you check in after you have to contact with reception before arrival, and I get quick response to my phone call and email . Recommend this apartment it’s very close to the beach 10 mins walking to first beach and all other beaches. Very good price for location what you get . Pool is very good and big . Very Nice stay I am satisfied with my choice to stay here

Superb staff! Very friendly and efficient.

Near to the beach and local transport was incredibly convenient.

Down side: the tiles on the floor and bathroom need a good steam clean. Please ensure shower curtains are freshly cleaned. I did ask for a new one and they got one straight away.

The hotel was in good condition, plenty of space in the room that was more like a studio apartment with a nice balcony, kitchen with everything you may need and a bathroom with a huge tub. Everyone I met at the hotel and surrounding shops, grocery store and restaurants was super nice and the hotel is very well located. Close to the bus stop, train station and the beach. I was there for the Cannes Film Festival and I didn’t have to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a bus the whole week I was there. Even with traffic, you’d be in the center of Cannes in about 10-15 minutes. Definitely a good deal, especially during the busy festival time.

I wasn’t expecting the front desk to be closed upon arrival, and it seemed neither were fellow travelers. I arrived at two and saw a sign saying they opened at 4. Was hoping I could at least leave my luggage, but no such luck. Once in the flat, the bathroom was old and not in great shape with stains, empty shower gel container and broken/missing decor on the wall. The person at the front desk was very friendly though, and access to cafes, the beach and bus stop were great.

It’s a great place if traveling with a lot of people, but way too big, and a little creepy traveling by myself. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Most of the room/apartment was clean, except the bathtub. There were also a lot of rules which didn’t make it seem like a real vacation and the WiFi kept cutting out.

Very basic. Reminded me of a student digs. Shower was a hand held shower head over a bath. But reasonably clean and actually quite spacious. Bed was comfortable, and having a balcony was a bonus. Reception closed for most of the day - which could be problematic for some.

Poor maintenance detracts from a great space.

A great balcony with views of the ocean and a place to sit and relax. Roomy space and set up to enable us to cook meals. Location excellent close to bus into Cannes, beach, restaurants, cafes and fresh food. Had no issues with the pin access to the hotel although as it is \"off season\" the reception desk is only staffed for 2 hours in late afternoon.
The beds had loose slats which creaked each time one of us moved, and we were concerned one of us might collapse into the middle if one of them broke. The door from bedroom to balcony would not shut. IT was fixed on day 2. Other problems included lack of toilet paper, light bulbs needing replacement, a coffee table that was near its end...falling apart! Screwed together but screw heads sticking out. We were required to wash up and clean up, no dish washing liquid and one tea towel. The floors were dirty on our arrival and had cracked tiles. The dining table had two missing plastic suction cups, so we dare not use that in case the glass table top came off and broke.

Disgusting. STAY AWAY! The room was dirty, toilet was broken, TV and WIFI weren't working. There was no couch- only a twin bed. Only appropriate for stag parties- not for business or families. We ended up booking something else and moving the first night. ALSO- additional reservation for a parking spot.

I think the staff were present less this year. It is handily placed for the beach and the local shops which include a great boulangerie. I have to say that the beds are no more comfortable than before but you get what you pay for. If you are on a budget and want a cheap base from which to go to the beach, visit Cannes (5 minutes on the bus) or other great places like Monaco or St Paul de Vence then this is absolutely fine. Some good local eateries nearby too.

the hotels location is about 2.5 miles west of cannes itself in cannes boca, a 10 minute walk from that station or a better choice is the 5 min taxi from cannes central station . great location from the hustle and bustle . 1/2 walk along the seafront which is 100 yard walk. dont expect the beutiful people more the locals . The hotel has a limitied opening hours reception so beware if late check in , its no problem they are set up for it , but its diy and surprising . just call the hotel to confirm and arrange . The rooms / suites are comfortable and basic , plenty of room , closet space and equipment , they are however very tired , so dont expect the hilton .

Pros and cons

On the plus side it was cheap and the rooms were big.
It was for business in Cannes so it was just a little too far away geographically but we know that we were getting better value money wise for not being close.
The main problem was not being able to book in when we arrived as there was no receptionist. Then there was no receptionist at the other hotel we were supposed to leave out luggage at so we had to get cabs from Cannes, back to Cannes, then from Cannes again with all our bags.
The bed made the loudest creaks I've heard from a bed.
The carpet in the wardrobe was covered in so much dirt that every time your stepped out of there you had to brush your feet clean!

The room was quite nice with a bug balcony. Hotel is located next to the beach. Very close to the centre of cannes. Our neighbour must have been a permanent resident thought cause 2 days she was hitting the wall to be quiet at 9 and 11 o clock in the night and we were just talking to each other in the room.

Is it a hotel? Honestly, I don't know. I suppose it is a big block of appartments with a part-time reception desk. As with everything, your enjoyment level will depend on your expectations. Ours were not high given the low price. On the whole, We enjoyed our holiday very much. Most guests were travellers from within France who had used the facility to bring pets. There was a kitchen which we didn't use much. It is near the beach and there is a terrific bistro opposite and a few other decent places to eat nearby. Also it is a short bus ride from the centre of Cannes or if you are feeling energetic, you can walk it along the seafront in about 40 minutes. There is a marvellous boulangerie around the corner which is a perfect place to have breakfast. The beach is fine. The staff were ok but at least a cursory knowledge of the French language is required as the staff's English is far from fluent. Great as a reasonably priced base to explore the French Riviera.

Self Contained Clean Friendly Environment

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, spoke fluent English and were accommodating to the fact of a late arrival. The area which we staid in was well prepared, clean, stocked with cutlery plates dishes cups and cooking pans. The bathroom came with towels and one toilet roll.

There is a small market just at the foot of the hotel but is very costly, about a twenty minute walk is a supermarket which can offer better priced items but shuts at 20:00. I would recommend purchasing toilet rolls and also bin bags as only one is provided with the apartment, if you are staying more than a week then the bin can get pretty full.

Travelling to the hotel is easy enough, whilst there are buses direct from Nice airport to Cannes they are quite costly. It is possible to get the airport bus to Nice Station (6 euro pp) and then a train to Cannes De Bocca which is the second station in Cannes. Then about ten minutes walk from the station to the hotel.

The hotel provides access to a shared pool at the rear, with a poolside cafe. Whilst the rooms do not come with free WiFi access the poolside cafe does.

Lovely hotel apartments, shame about building work

The staff were friendly and helpful. And the apartments were a decent size and fairly well equipped (apart from washing up liquid/sponge). Only one toilet roll was provided by the hotel, so you have to buy your own. Unfortunately the hotel was undergoing building work/renovation, so the corridors were in a poor state with wires coming out of the ceiling, and we were woken up each day at 9am by drilling. I imagine this would be sorted by the summer though. The location is fantastic - only a short 1€ bus ride from Cannes centre, and there is a local market along with many reasonably-priced restaurants nearby. There is a fantastic bakery just 2 minutes from the hotel. Ignoring the building work and noise from that, we had a very pleasant stay.

Alla reception ho avuto qualche problema chi stava non era pratico per il poss non sapeva tutto il suo funzionamento a riguardo sulla cauzione non faceva passare la carta bene e non sapeva come fare ho risolto il problema dopo 2 giorni che c era una signora grande di età e ha fatto funzionare bene il poss comunque all arrivo il giovane non mi voleva fare soggiornare per colpa sua ma poi si è convinto e mi ha dato la chiave dell appartamento.

bonjour cela fait plusieurs années que nous louons a villa Maupassant ce serait bien qu'il y ait un entretien régulier dans les appartements au niveau de la cuisine (meubles) dans la salle de bain des joints et un coup d'aspirateur dans les VMC car elles sont pleines de poussière
À part ça la vue sur mer est magnifique cela m'empêchera pas de relouer à nouveau c'était juste pour info

Établissement assez salubre qui a besoin d'un rafraîchissement.
Le hall d'entrée est acceuillant par contre il ne faut pas s'attendre à un superbe appartement.
Pour y acceder , les escaliers sont très vieux on a l'impression d'aller dans une cave.
Appartement propre mais vieux
Gros jour entre le plancher et la baignoire .
Pas de clim car appart nommé classique donc pas option
Du coup obligé de dormir fenêtres ouvertes car chaleur +++( mois août) donc nuit pourrie car bruit de rue ( véhicules, touristes dans les rues .....)

Weder Reklamation noch Stornierung sind korrekt zu erledigen.
Solche unseriösen Anbieter braucht niemand.
Habe 1woche versucht zu reklamieren,leider erfolglos .Nun zahle ich für eine Übernachtung in einem Hotel das mit Fake Fotos und nicht besetzter Rezeption ab 17:00 Uhr nicht mehr erreichbar ist.
Trotz dem Vermerk:eine Telefonische Rückbestätigung ist nicht erforderlich.

De 14:00 a 16:30 ils étaient injoignables au téléphone.
Ils ouvrait leur secrétariat à 15:00 mais personne pour répondre.
Étant véhiculée j'avais besoin du code pour entrer dans le garage mais personne pour me le donner et pas de place pour rester en double fil.
J'envoie mon copilote à l'accueil qui se fait recevoir comme du poisson pourri ''fallait appuyer. Comment devine nous ?! \". J'ai appelé une trentaine de fois.
15€ de place de parking. 5€ de taxes de séjour.
Et personne le matin pour vous faire une facture.

L'isolation de l'appartement n'existait pas et donc les radiateurs ne chauffaient pas.
A fuir.

Die Unterkunft war dreckig und extrem sanierungsbedürftig. Auf dem Bildern wird ein anderes Pool angezeigt als vorhanden. Zudem durfte ich nicht rein da ich ein Burkini an hatte.

Sehr schade obwohl dort sehr viele Muslime waren.

Vi bookede stedet grunden beliggenheden og poolen. Men vi brugte kun poolen under en halv time, under hele vores ophold. Der var slet ikke plads. Heldigvis lå stranden lige ved siden af. Der er virkelig beskidt! Daglig rengøring var der ikke noget af. En hel uge, med kun en gang udskiftning af håndklæder. Ik andet.

Det beste ved stedet var udsigten . der var en jernbane lige ud for tressen og når der kørte en tog forbi ( ca.10 tog i timen og godstog om natten ) kunne vi ikke tale sammen . Lejlighed er i ringe stand og det virker beskidt . alle møbler så ud som om de ville knække sammen. og køkken var låger ved at falde af. service var der kun lidt af . ingen ovn og kogeplade var meget slidt.
fliser på gulv knækket . stikkontakter virker ikke .kun en enkel gulvlampe med en enkel pære der lyser.Generelt slidt ned.Hvis jeg skulke sige lidt positivt var det at vi rejste.

Lejligheden var i virkelig dårlig stand. Jernbane i baghaven, ingen aircondition, svært at komme ind når man ankommer og ingen parkeringsmuligheder.
Lokationen var dog fin og selvom alt var slidt og i rigtig dårlig stand, så var det rent

Cool apartment close to the beach!

Fantastic location close to the sea. Big apartment with a fan and bed sheets, elevator and a nice pool with a bar. The kitchen is big and so is the balcony! This hotel was better than expected, we had a wonderful time!

Horrible experiencia, extremadamente sucio, deteriorado, es mentira que se encuentre a 10mins del Palais, esta mas lejos, además la recepción sólo abre 3 hrs al día, no hay servicios de parte del lugar. Nos tuvimos que cambiar a otro.

idéalement placé, à 2,5kms du centre de Cannes.
Propreté de l'appartement en revanche médiocre, nous avons dû laver toute la cuisine en arrivant, ainsi que passer la serpillère sur le sol de l'appartement car nous avions les pieds très noirs. La réceptionniste était très agréable. Le parking un peu cher, 58E pour 5 nuits et il n'y a pas d'autre choix pour se garer à proximité

Je n’avais pas d’eau chaude, résultat j’ai chauffé l’eau à la bouilloire tout la soirée pour remplir la baignoire (qui était sale avec une serviette usagée laissée à l’intérieur) quand je suis aller à la réception leur notifier la dame paraissait agacé ! Et pas de solution

Vi er igennem flere år kommet i bebyggelsen - også Villa Maupassant. Har desværre igen konstateret, at stedet bliver mere og mere forfaldent. Det er simpelthen for dårligt vedligeholdt og ikke ordentligt rengjort. Vi klagede over det samme sidste år, og forventede (naivt måske), at det ville være blevet bedre; men det var det ikke. Så næste år bliver det et andet sted, selvom vi holder af beliggenheden. Det er uforståeligt, at et hotel med den placering vil være sådan en standard bekendt.
