I was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional standard of the resort. The receptionist was wonderfully friendly, and the resort's location couldn't have been better – it's conveniently situated near both shops and the beach. The 1-bedroom apartment was fully equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, the only downside was the unreliable internet connection in the room, which unfortunately didn't work at all.

My partner and I booked this place on the long weekend which is one of the busiest times of the year. We understand that there is a policy that we wouldn’t get to have a refund for last minute cancellation. We had a sudden death in the family, and we wanted to see if there was any possibility for refund, credit or change of weekend. Knowing it was the long weekend, we imagine that they’d be able to get a booking if we cancelled. In the midst of any communication, the hotel did not pass condolences, and blamed us for using Expedia as the reason we could not get any refund or change of weekend. In the end, they have their right to deny waiving the cancellation fee, which is okay. I just wanted to share that there was no warmth and understanding in any of the interactions I had via phone or correspondence with the hotel. We are sad to say that we will not return to Dolphin Lodge, and we do not recommend this location.

Ok, noisy and not near any amenities

Arrived at 6.02pm and reception was already shut, so found out key and and room. Surrounding noise is loud from behind and below the apartment.
Easy parking right by. Short walk to sea front and bay, very ltttle available in the evenings so ordered a delivery.
Apartment has stocked items for 2 people so was great
Alarm clock in the room had alarms set at midnight and 3am which was annoying.
Pillows were comfortable, bedding was way too hard, but couldn’t leave window open due to noise.

Wish we’d stayed longer.

Only stayed one night at Dolphin Lodge but was very impressed with everything about the place.
One of the best value serviced apartments we’ve stayed in.
To be honest, for the price we paid I was expecting a basic motel room.
However we got a spacious apartment with separate kitchen and a dining/living room.
A comfortable bed and spotless bathroom with great hot shower had us wishing we’d stayed in Albany a few extra days.
Location is great, close to Middleton Beach and there’s a tavern with an extensive and reasonably priced menu within walking distance. Also a great cafe a couple of doors down.

I could not get the heater to work so asked the manager if it might be the batteries in the remote needed replacing. He came to the room with me and after explaining I needed to put the keys in the slot (and push down) upon leaving he said \"we aren't running a kindergarten you know\". Perhaps there are nicer ways to speak to guests.

A great location and beautiful spot

What a great place to stay and restaurants and bars near by and up the road from one of the prettiest beaches I have ever seen.
The apartment was comfortable and well furnished and clean and ability to cook if you choose to. Would highly recommend anyone stay here.

Fantastic Accommodations

I highly recommend staying at the Dolphin Lodge! Was travelling for business, so wasn't able to stay long. Would be a great place for families. Accommodations were clean and well taken care of.
