Smiley Cheerful and helpful,Clean room,Excellent Breakfast and they let me put my mobility scooter in the entrance lobby which was greatly appreciated,we have stayed there many times in the last 20 years ,It's a great location on the seafront and close to the town ,We highly recommend it .

Staff were very helpful, room was basic and noise from other rooms easily heard. beds were comfy, funky smell in bathroom but nothing horrendous. Stayed one night and did what we needed it to do.

Maybe some more thought needs to go into the shower head positioning so as to stop the bathroom getting flooded?!…. and why are hotel pillows always so soft and unsubstantial?
That said, the staff were courteous and friendly, the bed comfortable, the bathroom functional and clean.
Happy with our one night stay. Would happily stay there again if ever back in Dieppe.

We had an enjoyable 1 night stay. The room was clean and functional, public spaces were nicely decorated and comfortable (we particularly like the vintage Dieppe posters. Nice touches included a sweet bar. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.

The soundproofing was terrible, as the people upstairs were very noisy. The beds were okay but the bathroom was quite inconvenient as you had to go across the room to wash your hands after using the toilet. The hotel is also quite dated and there wasn’t any air conditioning in the room.

Beautiful location near the sea. But mind you, the coffee machine isnt free as I was told AFTER I had an espresso. I travel all over Europe & the UK and never have I had to pay for a coffee from a machine. At least tell me before I drink it, not after. I paid to stay in this hotel, bought drinks from the bar and you treat me like a freeloader?

Hotel was excellent value for the price. Staff spoke english, which really helped as my french is very rusty. Beds were comfy, shower was powerful. Location was excellent, right on the beach front, with plenty of parking out front. Only 10 mins drive away from the ferry port. Only a short 5 min walk to the main town for restaurants, but breakfast was offered. Unfortunately we could not sample breakfast as we had to leave very early for our ferry home. Reception staff were available 24/7. Cannot thank the hotel enough. Definitely want to come back in the summer to enjoy the area more.

All of the staff are very friendly and welcoming, but particularly Antoine who was on reception when we arrived. The hotel and rooms are very clean, the bed extremely comfortable, always hot water and good pressure despite being on the 4th floor. It is very conveniently located. We could even leave our luggage after we checked out of our room before catching the lunchtime ferry back to the UK. Definitely excellent value for money.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel de la Plage. Our family room was spacious enough, of a little dated. The reception area is pleasant and the jars of sweets for children went down well with our kids. I’ve not given five stars purely because of a rule that stipulated that room keys need to be left at reception when you leave the hotel. Generally the reception was staffed by one member of staff. If they were on the phone or away from the desk we’d be left stranded in reception waiting to hand in our key or retrieve it. Perhaps this isn’t a big deal for some, but with two small children waiting five minutes at the end of a day when everyone is hot, tired and hungry wasn’t pleasant!

The hotel is lovely and the staff on reception are very competent and friendly.
Check in was great and the room was nice.

We had an issue with dogs barking in the next room (which they hadn’t booked to have the dogs with them so weren’t in a pet friendly room) and staff couldn’t do anything about it.
The transfer of noise from the room upstairs was awful. They sounded like they were moving house and it carried on for 3 hours.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room and the breakfast was €14 per person which is a lot for coffee and a croissant.

Nice hotel but awful sleep/rest.

The main hotel areas have been nicely renovated. The décor in our family room was quite dated aside from the bathroom which had a lovely modern mirror and double sink. I don't think the room had been used in a while and there were a couple of flies buzzing around but the beds were comfortable, the shower was good and it was quiet.

Highly recommend and def will book again in the future, kids able to visit sea life experience and near Disneyland if interested but we weren’t as we were in Paris for few nights for the rugby finals

“Family room” not as expected

We rented a “family room” expecting to have 3 real beds. The pictures even make it look like the room might have stairs and a living space separating the larger bed from the two twins. Anyways, the “twin beds” were just pull out arm chairs. We really wanted to be sleeping on real beds this night of our trip. The room was so tight with the “beds” pulled out that we could not access the tables or use some of the other furniture.. pretty disappointing. I chose this space thinking there would be room for my family of 4. If I knew it was just a basic room with, essentially, a pull out couch, I would have chosen differently.

Really handy place to stay for getting the ferry back to the UK and right on the front in Dieppe. İt gets very busy on a weekend and parking if you have a car can get a bit hit and miss but if like us you tour on a motorcycle there is plenty of room on the front driveway of the hotel.

The room was nice clean and comfortable. Nice large Tv. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Short of tea and coffee facilities in the room but you can buy a cup downstairs. Good location, very close to town 2 mins walk round the corner, and restaurants.Free parking on the road. Its normally quite busy but it's a long road and I have always managed to get a space. There is also a paying carpark at the end of the road. I normally use another hotel but it was fully booked.
I will definitely return.

Had to leave the windows open all night and I know this isn’t the hotels fault but as we had to leave the windows open all night the seagulls flew around above the back courtyard and squawked all night

Stayed here a few times. It's a great location and excellent value for the price we pay. Had quite a small room on the first floor this time compared to the larger upper floor room in the past but as we don't spend much time in the room it didn't make a difference really. Was really hot the weekend we stayed and so needed to have the windows open as no fan which meant that it was difficult to sleep as, being right by the sea there are obviously seagulls who like to party all night and day!!!! Will definitely be staying again.

We like this hotel, it’s clean and friendly. The only drawback is when other guests are noisy as the rooms are not soundproofed.
But there’s a good breakfast salon and a bar open all evening.
Even though dogs are welcome the rooms are spotless, so not a problem.

Good hotel with friendly staff, room was modern and clean. Great walking distance to the sea, the port and restaurants.
A bit of advice on parking (which I had ticked) for others: this does not mean the hotel has a car park. There is free parking on the sea front in front of the hotel but there is a lot of competition for the spaces and we had to cruise round and round (on a weekday in April). Had to give up and go to the underground paying carpark at end of prom by casino. This is very nice secure car park but you will have to pay.

Ideal Hotel for a one night stay

Room was small, very warm, clean and the bed comfortable. Shower room also was small with toilet and basin . Quite large T.V. armchair also. No coffee or tea making facilities. Free WiFi was good. The reception area,bar, sitting room was bright and welcoming as was the guy on reception. This hotel is approx 6 minutes driving from the ferry port so is ideal for a one night stay if catching or arriving on the ferry. It's also not far from good restaurants , bars and shops or a walk on the beach.
