Oh my God! This hotel resort is over the top amazing! Our room on the Sky level was amazing. A beautiful ocean view with a large balcony. The room was clean and well appointed. The large solid marble bathtub with an ocean view was particularly appreciated by my wife. The beach and pool areas were awesome. As with everywhere on the resort, the staff was friendly and attentive. We used the free paddle boards and kayaks to cruise around the bay ( super fun). The on site restaurants were great especially the Michelin star French restaurant La Maison. The entire resort is beautiful. Monkeys swing from trees and hang out for us to watch them. They have golf carts and a funicula to move you around the resort…or you can just walk! All resort staff is super friendly and helpful, especially the Concierge. They have a free shuttle to and from Hoi An everyday. We were there three nights, I wish we had booked a few more nights!

We had a wonderful stay at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, and what truly stood out was the kindness of the staff.

We checked in very late at night, and my son mentioned that he was hungry. Without hesitation, the staff kindly arranged food for him. That level of care meant so much to us as parents. Every staff member we encountered was genuinely warm, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our stay.

The property itself is stunning. The views are breathtaking, the design is beautiful, and the resort feels incredibly special. Getting around by tram and buggy added to the experience and made the vast property feel fun and seamless. The restaurants were all photo-worthy, and the food was excellent. The Japanese restaurant, in particular, was superb.

The only downside was the bathtub in our room. It appeared a bit worn or slightly moldy, and because of that, I didn’t feel comfortable letting my son use it, which was disappointing since he usually enjoys hotel bathtubs.

That said, the exceptional service, beautiful facilities, and overall experience far outweighed this one issue. We truly felt welcomed and well cared for, and we would love to return.

Plenty of scenic views around the property. It’s a very nice resort but not too friendly to physically challenged people however they have golf carts to service you 24X7.
The property is large on the side of a mountain with monkeys looming around but they don’t bother you(if you don’t feed them).
The cons are that the food options at the restaurants in the property are very pricey even for small bites or common plates/sandwiches.
This comment is for the management team: I used the gym every day during early hours in the morning and during one of my workout session I set the A/C at 21C and later on a European lady manager came in to inspect the facility and turned the A/C up to 23 without consulting me…I thought that was very disrespectful especially with the rates they charge.

Overall is beautiful hotel and facility and staff is excellent. The down size is the room layout especially bed arrangements is not comfortable, bed is not comfortable in comparison to other five stars. No lounge area in such a big room other than balcony sitting where you can sit with the monkey when it visits. Need to consider more fictional room layout and make the best of the room size.

We had a great stay at the Intercontinental in Da Nang.
Great service from check in, room service, beach, and restaurant. The entire resort and the beach are clean and in excellent condition. All restaurants offer great food options and a good selection. Our kids especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Citron.
The location is quiet and the views of the beach are spectacular.

The minute we arrived we couldn’t believe the magnificence of everything, absolutely wonderful. We stayed at the Intercontinental Danang as the last stop in our honeymoon, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Staff was great and friendly, the resort is sooooo beautiful. They were so good at capturing moments for us, we didn’t had to ask if they could take a picture of us, they would offer and now we have amazing memories. At La Maison 1888 restaurant they brought us a desert with “Happy Wedding and Honeymoon” message on it, our server took a picture and printed it as a gift to us!!!

It was glorious. Whilst we read reviews and saw photos that other travellers had posted, nothing beats experiencing it for ourselves. It's literally being transported to an oasis of calm. Wonderful place to decompress, to just be still and silent in taking in the surroundings, listening to the waves, the silence, the animals/insects. A therapy for the ears and eyes. Words really seem inadequate, and photos don't even do it justice.
The breakfast at Citron was fabulous, and the experience was elevated by the staff who were there-

Hoang Nguyen: I understand he's an intern, but from the professional way he carried his responsibilities, taking the initiative to give spot on recommendations, and always with a smile and displaying a genuine love for hospitality, it was a joy speaking with him.
Suong Che and Trang Do as well were always greeting guests with smiles, following up on their stays and recommending places to visit-it was evident that they genuinely loved what they were doing.

I hope due recognition is given to them because they deserve it and frankly, the staff play such an important role in hospitality.
The ladies operating the tram during our stay were so friendly too! It was such a pleasure speaking with them.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Intercontinental Sun Peninsula. Despite the occasional rainstorm, we were able to enjoy all of the amenities the resort had to offer. Our children had a great experience enjoying all of the arts and crafts and activities in the Planet Trekkers Kids Club.

I cannot recommend this resort more! We will definitely visit again.

We stayed here on 2 separate occasions and visited once more with a day pass.

The architecture and design is magnificent. This is the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever seen, admittedly it’s the only Bill Bensley hotel I’ve been too. The man is a genius.
Every detail is perfection, every building, room, pool, path, garden is stunning. There is beauty in every corner.

We enjoyed meals at all the restaurants.
La Maison 1888 was an experience - perfection, delicious.

Breakfast at Citron was wonderful. They have every food you could imagine from all over the world for breakfast. Sitting in the floating tables is an added bonus! Get there early to get one of these tables!

The kids club was a big hit with our family. They offer fun craft activities throughout the day that our daughter loved. They also had a PlayStation that we had to peel our son away from. Our children are a bit on the shy side and the staff at the kids club were amazing with them! They remembered their names and made them feel welcome every time they went back.

Pools and beach are Splendid. Mr. Dong is the best!!! He will make sure you enjoy every minute of your day at the pool or beach!

During our second stay, the hotel seemed to overflow with guests and we had a series of unfortunate events. To compensate, Ms Hong invited us back for a day pass. Greatly appreciated and this day was magical as there were much less people.

Overall, amazing hotel. A destination experience.

-5 stars for horrible resolution to coronavirus

Completely unacceptable! They did not issue a credit nor a resolution when hotels.com asked them to cancel my booking to their hotel due to the recent coronavirus outbreak in Asia! We even asked them to provide later date to return to stay at their hotel when the outbreak is controlled. They would not cancel, refund nor issue a credit for a later time. This is a global epidemic and several other global chains were providing cancellations without charge with no questions asked. This is the only hotel in Vietnam with a 5 stars rating that would not do the same. It’s like they never want you to ever come back to their hotel or even try it once!

The room interior must need some bright lighting for someone that require for their works surround the whole interior while they are vacationing. The bathtub areas must use property sanitizing cleaning solutions to prevent the bad odors due to the wood floor in the shower area.

The property is beautiful. Excellent service. The room is very big and facing the ocean. We really had a great time.
Nguyen the person who worked at the pool was very good. Not only he provided great service, he also a fantastic photographer.
he took many pictures for our family with awesome background.
The only thing I don't like is the room lights. The lighting in the room is so dim. I can't turn it all the way up like we have in US.

It is a very nice three night stay at this property. A good privacy offer by this location. Our room has a good view of the sandy beach. The room has a nice setup and amenities are as expected for a 5 star property. We have dined in Citron, Barefoot, La Mansion and drink at the Long Bar. Services are all superb and food are good. Special mention of Suong and Hue at Citron. Very attentive and warm services from both of them. The beach experience is also excellent. Cooler bag with bottle of waters, welcome drink are ready when we sit. Also a refreshing fresh cucumbers facial mask which give my wife a special surprise. They offer all kind of sun tank lotions for your convenient to use. A wonderful experience indeed and we highly recommend friends to come.

A secret paradise in a faraway place for everyone

From the moment you arrive in this exotic location. Your eyes begin to enjoy the unique splendorous of the jungle at the entrance and then this incredible five store luxurious resort nestled in the mountains just appears. From the Vietnamese culture to the five-star service to the manners, everyone is so polite. All the staff are beautiful. A Memorable Vacation

This luxury resort is amazingly beautiful and the location is nestled in the hills of the peninsula. The landscape is breathtaking and every room has its own panoramic views (we had four rooms). The private beach has so many activities. We enjoyed playing volleyball and the water recreation. Although we only stayed two nights because of other destinations, we would definitely return for a longer visit because of the great experience here.

It’s an absolute Vietnam dream. We were there to explore Da Nang town but the resort was so beautiful and so much to enjoy, we hardly left the resort. Three nights were just enough. The service was exemplary from every staff. The beach complimentary services were my favorite —cold water, fresh fruit kabobs served street style, cold towels, sunglasses cleaning, water sport.. It is worth the splurge. The architecture of this place is extraordinary with distinctive characters of Vietnam with influences from French, Japanese and Chinese. It is a place worth visiting again and again. I’m very impress with the Vietnamese details. The only disappointing part of our trip was the food at La Maison- the decor and service were very nice, but food was not worthy of a 3 Michelin Star chef— or any rating. We did the six course prix and only enjoyed the fish dish, the rest , all six of us left more than 3/4 portions back. Citron was great and Barefoot was fun and decent food. Long Bar had great cocktails— try the Street Vendor!!!

The hotel is very beautiful in lush green environment - nothing to fault.

The rooms and the bathrooms are not functional. A lot of heavy furniture which is not very comfortable.

The lighting is very dim in the bathroom and very difficult to get dressed/apply makeup/shave. There is only one mirror in the bathroom which gets “foggy” with the steam of the shower and takes a few minutes to clear up. Not enough table space/ room on the bathroom vanity to put the stuff.

The toilet doesn’t have exhaust ventilation.

Me and my friend who got in a motorcycle accident decided to stay here to help him recover and it was just the place. I live in hanoj and know have travelled the netire country and haven't quite seen a piece of land as bewurful as this. Aw far as the resort, it's by far the most incredible and unique resort I've ever stayed it, the architect bill bensley really makes the netire place feel like a play ground. The stafff was as helpful as can be having a nurse on call to help my friend with his injury. The onl downside is the portion side of the meals considering the pride ansitw difficult to get into the city for an easy dinner., but I'll certainly be returning soon.

Amazing views with many activities

Service staff were ever attentive for ANY request no matter how random. The views are amazing and there were many free and paid activities throughout the day to occupy our time without leaving the resort, including morning hikes, water-activities, coffee art, movie screening etc. The room included a pillow menu which was much appreciated. Unfortunately we could not chill at the huge balcony as monkeys frequently hung out or passed by the balcony and they could be slightly intimidating. Won't change this though, as I understand and appreciate that the hotel does not kill or set traps for monkeys in order to preserve as much nature as possible. I also understand the presence of the monkeys as the hotel is built within the mountain forest. Do ask for a room on the higher floor so that you can clear the tree height if this is a major problem for you. There's a partner-cab that will take you wherever, and the hotel provides a free shuttle service to Hoi An or Danang city. They also allow for Uber and Grab bookings so that would help to save some. While tipping is not a common Asian culture, I find that the service staff do expect to be tipped, perhaps due to western influence and considering the level of luxury of the hotel.

Special mention to Mr Quoc from the Concierge desk who went above & beyond his call of duty to help arrange & coordinate the in-room proposal and set up the room with champagne, flowers & balloons. This would not have been possible without him and the team!

This is my late review for my experience for DaNang Intercon. My friend and I was very much looking forward staying this hotel, but extremely disappointed on our first day of arrival. As a 5+Stars hotel, we have expected more but overall experience doesn’t worth this price. First of all, I would like to say great team management as issues escalated fast, direct, and immediate response. In the end, hotel compensate our 3days hotel meal.The immediate response deserve 3stars, but overall 0 Star.
Issues:
1. The phone wasn’t working when first checked in the room.
2. USB charger and one of the outlet is broken, not plan to fix at all.
3. There was no spa or in room dining menu. Waited for 30mins after 1st call. Nothing deliver until 3rd call. Waited over 1 hour without any courtesy call.
4. Took ~1.5+hours for a foam pillow, called 4x, 2x incorrect delivery (firm pillow instead), no courtesy calls or being inform at 1st or 2nd call that there was only 1 foam pillow for the entire hotel.
5. Ordered plain scones, raisin was delivered. Open jam places at table that was previously used.
6. Requested a taxi through concierge to go 3 places. Total cost was noted on the card before we took off. Driver stopped us to request additional charges when return at hotel. Concierge explained total cost she put down is not final as taxi driver took different route. Note on card was ~50km, meter shows 79km, taxi asked for 60km. Cost note on card didn’t specify as approximate.

Nice hotel with beautiful ocean view

The hotel is located at the TOP of the mountain, away from the city. It is very peaceful with a beautiful ocean view from my room. However, whenever the staff make up my room, they will definitely forgot to replace things such as the bottled water, or towels. the buffet breakfast is way more expensive as compared to in room dining. Therefore, if you are planning to have the buffet breakfast. Do purchase in advance. Overall it is a good hotel and the staff are friendly.
