Beautiful beach. Great clean property. Friendly staff.
Need more areas where you can hangout at night to sit at a table and play cards without the pressure of having to purchase food and drinks from restaurant.
We didn’t like the fact we weren’t aloud to bring outside food or beverage to the beach area without the consequences of a surcharge. If drinks were cheaper then it would be different.

I rented a traditional Thai house which was right on the beach, unfortunately it was also right beside the massive speakers which has music on from around 5 in the afternoon until about 11 pm. And when it’s not on the other resorts beside this property has their music playing. I thought Samet was a quiet and calming island. Good luck getting any rest if you’re an early sleeper.

I slept poorly during my three nights here. I highly recommend researching your property for noise and the adjacent ones before going. Or going consider staying on one of the only three properties on the west coast and of Samet.

This was great option on Koh Samet. There are several room types. We stayed in a deluxe room. There were no chairs or bench in the room only a bed
There was benches outside on the patio bpir something in the room would be better. Breakfast was very good. Deinks
..well the forgot to put the rum in out pina coladas and the bar would not bill everything at the bar to our room. We asked reception and they said we could have . I would prefer a few more tables with regular chairs on the beach. Getting up and down from a bean bag on the beach if you are older. One party used all the chairs both evenings ao non was available for our party. I would stay there again bit make some adjustments

Great little resort

I have stayed at the resort the year before and enjoyed the hotel. We like the cottages because they are close to the beach. The music can be load especially when the fire show is on. We can usually sleep thru anything but it could be an issue for people looking for a quiet room. The music shuts off at 11 to 11:30 at night.

The food was ok not spectacular. There are alot of good restaurants along the beach.

The beach is a very nice white sand and the swimming was great.

The entertainment was good. North american music mostly and they did have a great saxophone player that played throughout the day.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Close walk to the small town where other services and bike rentals are. If you want a quieter afternoon you can rent a bike and tour other beaches on the island

They have been doing modernization and upkeep on the hotel.

We would stay again

I rented the Deluxe Grand Executive room and wasn't told that they were 21 steps to climb to get to it.
The balcony had a shower and bath which wasn't practical and hadn't been used for some time.
The inside shower was separate from the wash hand basin and gave just a trickle of cold water.
The television was wasn't a smart TV and only had two English news channels.

I requested 2 rooms with 2 beds each. Received only one room with 2 beds. Requested as close as possible to the beach, received as far as can be. On a daily basis had to request a change of towels, and only one bath towel per person was provided.
Beach is VERY nice. Live music and the hotel is close to everything.

Lovely setting with it being practically on the beach, and a really nice white sand beach it was! There is a huge menu to explore. The food was good. Breakfast buffet was ok.
The hotel staff were helpful and happy but SOME of the Catering waiters were below what I’d expect, miserable. (Maybe because the service charge was on the bill). The room was nice; the floor was quite gritty with sand which I can sort of understand as it is hard with it being a beach hotel but also the side above the bed was rather Dusty which I noticed when I put my phone there briefly. Overall the location, food and bean bags on the beach made it a good stay but I won’t rush back.

Nice unique room with the bathroom/entry on the first floor and sleeping area up a set of steps. Not good if you have bad knees or a problem with steps.

A second room that I got after extending my stay was a mosquito infested room on a second floor with way worse steps. Was able to upgrade to a nicer room, thankfully.

Zero stars for the mosquito room if I ended up with that!

This may be the nicest property in Koh Samet. We stayed in the newer block in the back. Not a great view of some bamboo, but that was fine. Being in the back meant our room was quiet. Expect an occasional mosquito in the room. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great or hot enough for me. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was quite nice, with many options. Good strong coffee. The restaurant didn’t always have everything listed in the menu, like ice cream. All the staff were pleasant. We enjoyed the live musician and fire show at night. Overall, two nights in Koh Samet is just right. The beach is nice but there’s not that much to do here. I read that the island hopping excursions were a disappointment to many so we just stayed in the island and had a nice massage nearby.

Hotel location is excellent right on the beach. Staff were very pleasant and polite. Great fire show on the beach every night. However, during the day the beach is very crowded with a lot of Chinese tourists. We got into a taxi and went to quieter beaches a bit further along the coastline. Also to many speed boats as well on that particular beach. Rooms could also do with updating. Apart from that we had a great time on the island and will definitely be returning again.

I was not impressed with the Resort at all. First the reception is hidden at the back of the entrance.
The reception staff could only find one booking for me although I had done 3 different rooms. They eventually found the other bookings through Hotels.com. They are not at all fluent in English and very hard to understand each other. When we asked for two room cards, they said they couldn't print us one at that time which made it very inconvenient. I was very disappointed with the ad on Hotels.com as the double classic rooms were not advertised that they could be made singles, so as my party had to have two singles I booked a Thai cottage instead of 3 double classic rooms. Only to discover we could all have stayed near each other in the newer block. The Thai cottage is old,dark and stuffy and I really didn't enjoy it. Full of mosquitos !!!!!!!. Couldn't even sit on verandah as the mosquitos nearly carried us away. The housekeeping only brought us a mosquito machine on our last night there! I found the staff very unfriendly .The beach was beautiful. The sea clear and sand soft and fine. But the bean bags on the beach instead of loungers were terrible. A lot of the polystyrene was being dropped from broken bags onto beach.They so uncomfortable. Really bad idea. There is no swimming pool and when we asked where the snooker table was as advertised. Was told there wasn't one !! The one good thing , it was right near the town and easy to do shopping and eating out.

Considering the hefty price, one would expect top notch food and service to compliment the value for your money but not so here... The past 4 months of holidaying in Thailand from Australia we have stayed in over 15 different hotels and in all honesty, Samed Grandview easily was the worse service and value for money.. The Breakfast was terrible and the hotel employs/exploits the employment of many Cambodian and Myanmar personnel whom not only lack basic communication skills but with it comes terrible service...!
Give credit where credit is due, however credit is far from due in my honest review.. If you wish to be well overcharged for your hotel stay with terrible service to match, this is the place...!!

The room was on the far back of the property near the highway bad bad wi-fi. There was a leak in front of the toilet, never had a toilet paper holder in the bathroom the paper sat on the tank, towel rack was 8 feet from the shower. The room was way over rated, better check you connections. Never stay there again.

The hotel is located on a rather busy and exploited part of the island.
{There are more beautiful and serene locations you could opt for, in Koh Samet)
After booking via Hotels.com requesting for specific rooms, we weren't given the same on our arrival.
The staff is plain rude (with exceptions of a few)
Air Con in one of our rooms wasn't functional and after several complaints and 2 sleepless nights, they decided to give us an alternate room.
Food and drink at the restaurant is a bit overpriced in comparison with other restaurants in the vicinity.

Overall, definitely not worth the price for the quality and service you receive.
Grand looks can be deceiving; not so beautiful on the inside

Beautiful location right on the beach, the resort on a whole is postcard worthy. The room I stayed in was nicely laid out, almost having a studio apartment style to it with big sliding doors that led onto a private porch area. Unfortunately I had to spend the first 1.5 hours of my stay in the room killing mosquitoes that were having a mother's meeting by the sliding doors, just outside there were swarms of them trying to headbutt their way into the room. So I'd advise buying an electric fly swatter before arriving.

Staff were incredibly unhelpful and never smiled, very blunt and cold. Rooms were never cleaned, apparently the guests have to specifically request that the rooms are cleaned. The beach BBQ looks more impressive than it actually is and I'd advise not eating there. I got the impression that the 'cooks' there are just regular staff as I ordered a whole fish that was only cooked on one side and hadn't been cleaned and gutted, and some squid that still had the gritty innards in, mediocre breakfast. And to top it all off, when leaving the staff didn't place my bags on board the boat I was departing on back to the mainland inspite of reassurances from them that'd it be, and was, placed with my departing groups bags. Ultimately this led me to do my best Hasselhoff from the speedboat to retrieve them and spent the next couple of hours in soaked clothing. But all of this was nothing compared to what my friend went through staying in one of the terrible villas...

Location is excellent. Right on the beach for arrival by speed boat, and a very short truck taxi ride down main street if you take the ferry. If you take the ferry, walkable but not worth the struggle with luggage. If you take a speed boat, expect you and your luggage to get wet as you'll have to wade in. There's a really good seafood restaurant with tables in the sand and a nightly fire show just a few steps down the beach. During the day, complimentary cluster of beach chairs and umbrellas with available hotel food and beverage service; much cheaper to buy food from the steady flow of beach vendors. The one knock on the place is the water. Samui suffers from far beyond acceptable trash in the water.

Bon hôtel je ne regrette pas de l avoir choisis. par contre attention si vous prenez les petites maison en bois il y a de la musique forte jusqu'à 23h et malgré que l on soit 2 une seul carte donné, quand j ai demandé une autre carte on m a dit que si je la perdait la somme de 500 bahts me serait facturé, étonnant c est la première fois que la perte d une carte d accès pourrait être facturé.
Sinon dans l ensemble c est pas mal et accès directe a la plage et bon emplacement pour naviguer sur l île je dirais 3 nuits maximum sur ko samedi.

Overal a good accomodation (stayed in wooden bungalow). There is enough spacing between bugalows and garden is maintained nicely. The rooms are spacious enough and clean. Things to consider if booking: tge water pressure in shower is really low, bungalows are still in ok condition, but to my opinion some maintenance work needs to be done in comming year to keep them great (tab in bathroom was loose and can use some painting and new wooden planks here and there). For me the loud music in the evening from entertainment on the beach was a big downside if the accomodation. It would be great if the volume was turned down a notch.

Fortement deconseillé

Beaucoup de choses négatives :
Réception fermée de 22h à 6h du matin
Mangement inexistant
Personnel pas impoli avec les occidentaux
Petit déjeuner mauvais et pas realimenter en continue.
Conception en duplex de la chambre très dangereuse. L'entrée se fait par la salle de bain
Aucuns meubles, aucun endroit pour ranger ses vêtements et sa valise ni même pour étendre sa serviette mouillé
Un grand lit = 2 lits jumeaux collés =draps non d'adapté
Musique outrageusement forte sur la plage
Services techniques sous la chambre qui coupe du bois à la scie circulaire à 8h le matin ! Quelle honte
Points positifs:
très grande chambre mais vide...
Silencieux après 22h si on est à l'arrière du complexe

Hotel aux standards asiatiques mais pas du tout au standards internationaux

朝食を食べている最中から食器などを片付け始めるのは、少しどうかと思う。
時間が遅かったとは言え、他の空席の食器から片付ければ良いのに…

Inte Saikaw...

Tyckte inte om Saikaw.
Åk till annan del av ön. Här var det skitigt inga härliga restauranger, knappt några butiker.
Hade bott på Ao Praobeach innan och det var superhärligt.

ガーデンビューはコスパ悪し。デラックス１択

ガーデンビューの部屋は旧棟のような古臭いアパートのような場所に案内されます。従業員の寮と兼用？なのか地元民のような方が回りをうろうろしています。非常に狭く、シャワーの出もかろうじで洗髪できるレベル。コーヒーは用意されていても、電気ポットは無し。レセプションに連絡したくても、電話はついておりません。これなら他の3000円レベルのホテルと変わりないです。少し高くてもデラックスだと、新棟でとてもきれいなのでそちらをおすすめします。コテージはビーチサイドですが、夜中までホテル併設のバーが爆音で営業をしているので、寝れないだろうと見ているだけでも不憫に思いました。

Härlig sand på stranden

Fantastiskt läge vid stranden men synd att den är full av speedbåtar. Ok frukost. Onödigt dyrt på hotellet mot övriga ställen.
