The hotel staff was helpful,,,the water in the shower was only a hair above being cold. The worst breakfast in a hotel I've ever had. The room itself was ok for the money considering we only needed one night. Would like to have had a face cloth to use in the shower. The breakfast was really bad,,the best part was a couple pieces of toast.

RATS !!...with your buffet breakfast!!

Before booking this hotel consider if you don't mind sharing your breakfast buffet with RATS!.After watching a small cockroach crawling across my dining table at breakfast it kinda spoilt my dining experience on the first morning,but this was nothing compared to the horrors of the next morning.
To be honest I was already annoyed by the lack of service regarding the wifi.We arrived at 1.30pm on the 13th December 2018,initially we got checked in fast and the room although dark with no real view,it was spacious and clean.I tried to connect to wifi,login denied.I tried a few more times,no luck.So I went to reception,the yoing lady behind desk gave me another printed login password.I tried it,nothing.I thought maybe it was my devise.Another guest was also having problems.The receptionist said she would reboot router.6 hours later after 50 attempts I gave up ,phoned reception again.She did not really offer any apology except saying she would reboot again.I finally got online 6.30 am next day!
So,back to breakfast,first morning we went at 6.30am but already most things on offer were already cold,if only someone could invent something to put under the food container,you know ,like a candle.......so instead I ordered an omelette, I thought atleast that would be warm..?
So 2nd morning whilst eating we saw 2 large rats run out a whole,I told staff but they didn't seem too concerned.
Apon checkout I was told...\"write what you like on Hotels.com review\"by supervisor!

The staff service is the only thing that we like. The hotel is hot if you’re not inside you’re room. They issued only one key and it’s also use to power up everything in your room , if you leave your room you need to bring your key. When you return It’s crazy hot inside your room. The water supply for shower is low that makes impossible to take quick shower. The breakfast buffet in my opinion is terrible. The hotel amenities absolutely nothing/terrible. Looks like food being warmed up over and over ever day. If you’re just needing a place to stayand sleep for you’re vacation this will do. But if you like comfortable stay and pleasing invironment there are plenty of other nice hotels here in Cebu that my husband and I found out during our tour here. The room rates is just the same but way nicer than Orchard. One more thing, this hotel i think is highly occupied by foriegn students. I will not recommend this hotel to any of my family or friends. If you book you’re own package trip choose you’re hotel carefully. I guess I didn’t and it’s not cheap either.

Adequate for a cheap 1 night stay

Adequate for 1 night and the location was convenient, however traffic on the main road is very bad so not as convenient as expected. The staff were friendly and the room was large but had dated decor. The view from the window was largely blocked off. Very limited breakfast, only a few Filipino options to pick from (as well as rice of course) although to be fair what was available was quite nice.

Suprisingly Pleasant Stay

We stayed in the hotel because it was near the location where our Summer Party will be. The hotel was able to accommodate our early check-in request. Rooms were spacious and had good lighting. Bedding's were also very comfortable and had a lot of pillows. A very good hotel to stay at in Mandaue City.

Where is the water?

We had a room with a window facing to a concrete wall and the water was off, they fixed it but was cut off again and we had only cold water.The staff was nice a the reception but the cleaner were very loud in the morning. Breakfast average.

The Orchard Cebu Hotel & Suites

I booked and paid for my stay supposedly last August 10-12, 2016. I arrived at the hotel around 17:00 o'clock and checked out at around 21:00 for the reason that the services provided by the hotel was poor. First, there was no internet connection inside my room. Even if I went to the lobby to possibly get a connection, the internet was very poor. Secondly, there was no manual of operation for the usage of the television and cable TV. The staff was not helpful at all. Therefore, I want to be refunded of the payment I paid. I hope to receive the refund immediately. Thank you.

I was practically hotel hopping in Cebu which means I would know the difference right away I f I had a better experience or not because of the point of comparison. I can say, the Orchard was the least friendly one. I am considered a local and they don't seem to treat you fairly as they would to foreigners. I stayed in Be, Jpark, Richmond and the staff is far more accommodating and polite to us and very genuine to let us feel that they are happy to see us there. I hope the front desk officer smiles more and should constantly let you know what they are working on while you are waiting to be checked in.

The TV of the room close to ours is so loud and hence can't sleep well as their TV is on all night. For hotel in the province, ( not in Manila or Makati) the rate is a bit more than what the hotel provides.

my girlfriend works in Manduae and this is the closest nice hotel for her to visit.
simple 10 minute taxi ride for her to work in the morning. also close to ferry terminal.

The room was ok. Nothing fancy but usable. The beds were very very hard, no give at all when sitting or laying down. The shower was great but there was a sewer problem. The breakfast selection was good. The food was great. Liked the location. 2 blocks from SM mall and 10 minutes from airport. The cable was very minimal. Service very good.

very bad location, just neaby BTC.

It was very bad time in my life, all the sounds were loudly came from each door to us till 4am.
My bf lost his things when we were deposit our 4 carry bags there.
I traveled all over the world, such very hostels and I lived in Cebu for 3years, it was my bad
hotel what never I would not go. You better go much cheaper hotel near the centre.

I can't describe how poor this hotel is! No window in room, AC dirty & not working properly. No WIFI, complained to staff but they were more interested in SMS's & reading the newspaper. Don't waste your money, much better hotels in Cebu for the money. Will not be returning!!!!

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Orchard. What really made it a great experience was the friendliness of the staff. Not once did I see anyone that worked at the hotel, and them not greet me politely. This included everyone from housekeeping, the front desk and the guard at the door.

The hotel was ok but the free breakfast was not very good to small and simple. The food was over price and not well cooked better to walk to the mall for eating out. Location is ok you can walk to the mall in 5min. I would not stay at this hotel again.

location is easy to be found. girls in reception smile and nice all the time, please help me say thank you to the security guy~i like you dube! He gave me a lot of recommend and advises about where i should go and experience. And have to talk about the travel agent in the hotel, a Taiwanese who helped me a lot for booking my hotel and tickets of Bohol, nothing in return! Seemed like i was at home and every comfortable things around me. Breakfast's just so so, i really expected more, like i want a fresh orange juice in the morning, but it didn't provide, but a cup of orange shake, i took it anyway.

For what I need to do in Cebu, - Limited parking and the absolute worst thing was the extra hard mattress in the room. great shower tho, OK met my needs, the restaurant is fine and the surrounding area has much to do to keep you busy... Would stay again if it were not for the extra hard mattress.

Cebu's The Orchard Hotel

Was quite surprised when Taxi puled off busy street into this Oasis of a fine hotel. Was greeted by wonderful friendly staff that were able to answer any question I had. Had a small problem with TV connection which staff quickly solved along with a lamp that had a testy bulb that would not stay put. Would give this hotel 5 stars for all it offers and will stay there again if given the chance. Big plus is mall is just short 5 min walk away and my room was super quiet from traffic noise. In hotel restuarant serves a very good complimentary breakfast to get you started on your day.

Good for Business/Students, No good for Nightlife

Directly across the street from an academy and a college. I had a 3rd floor front facing room with a massive window but no view because the hotel sign was covering everything. Additionally, my room was facing the road so the road noise and constant honking started around 430am and ended around midnight. LCD TV in room was small but signal was great and they have many channels in multiple languages to choose from. Bed was big but a bit firm for me. Lighting in the room was excellent and they supply 2 bottles of drinking water daily. Restroom was modern and looked very good but needs more lighting near the mirror for putting in contacts ect..., My room included breakfast daily which is served until 11am. Breakfast included a choice of several plans and is definitely worth $5 extra for the room. The location is near a mall but apparently walking at night is not recommended because of safety. If you want some nightlife within walking distance then you should look elsewhere. Overall, I think the hotel is a bit over-priced but probably an excellent location for students.

The hotel looks new and fresh but we had some issues in room 103 (ground floor). - When we used the shower water floated outside the shower into the actual bathroom area and wet the floor completely. This was due to bad sealing and is easily fixed. - Our A/C unit made so much noise that it was impossible to sleep, we had to put it on fan mode during the night.

The hotel is comfortable, but not fancy. It is well located about 30 minutes from the airport and the seaport. It is also short cab ride to restreaunts and tourist attractions. There is a small mall with several resteraunts within walking distance. The resteraunt is simmillarly good, but not fancy.

Crummy breakfast

The rooms are very small and most of them have windows looking out on a wall. Suffocating heat as their corridors are not air conditioned. They changed my room as my room had no fresh air coming in and gave me a room with a view.. The reception people were nice but their free breakfast was not even half as good as the other hotels I stayed in Cebu.

Higher end economy hotel

This is not the hotel to stay at if you want to be near the beach or in the middle of the touristy areas or night life. However, it's a good inexpensive hotel with a friendly and accommodating staff and a pretty good (if slightly expensive) restaurant on the ground floor.

Overall, our hotel stay was pleasant and comfortable. 1. .the staff is courteous and efficient....however the 2. towels , was a little bit unacceptable - fading in color, could be overused?needs to be replaced for new ones...... the pillows are small and tiny.
3. the lobby and hallway leading to the rooms seemed \"hot\", no ventilation....an \"aircool\" or big elec.fan is appreciated?

Service was great but hotel needs work

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel needs a lot of work my fiance and i checked in
early so our room was not ready and when they said it
was ready it was the wrong room we had call twice before the check in day to make sure that a room with one queen bed would be ready and when we finally did get the right room it flooded when it started raining due to a bad roof also there was construction going on and the plumbing was very
noisy. For a hotel that is only three or so years
old it still needs a lot of work the concrete floors
for the balcony,s were not complete so we could not use it and the elevator did not work our entire 9 day
stay.The only good thing i can say about the hotel is
the staff I give them an A++ they were very polite and friendly and went out of there way to make us comfortable.

仕事関係の場所も近く、移動も楽でした。ホテルは、スタッフも笑顔をたやさず良い接客。部屋も清潔でした。ただ、部屋キーを差し込む場所があり、そこにキーがないと電源が全て落ちるため、冷蔵庫や、モバイル機器の充電が不十分でした。トータル80点くらいの評価です。
