So this hotel is very nice. We tried checking in early but were told there were no rooms available yet. On Hotels com it has checki-in @ 3. So we went back at 3. They said there still were no rooms available and that check-in is at 4. Anyway, we waited for about 15 mins for a room to be ready. The elevator was very slow. For the most part the room was clean besides the half-ass vacuum job on the carpets and the bathroom floor was not clean either. I mean if you're going to make me wait for a clean room, you better clean it. There were a couple of spots on the sofa that I'm sure could have been cleaned up. They were just not pretty to look at. Our next issue was the shower. Water pressure was not good since it was still spraying out the tub spout. The water was cold then HOT. It was hard to get warm. That was for my husband's shower. For mine it was just cold.
One of the receptionist was nice on Sat afternoon the other was just a snot. On Sunday when we checked out, that lady was so nice. I do plan on staying at Springhill again in the future. Hopefully they will have these issues resolved.

The beds were AWFUL (gaping human sized dips in the mattress- left both my husband and I struggling to sleep and with terrible back pain the next day), mildew and mold all over the shower, and utterly useless pillows. The front desk staff was very pleasant and kind.

The television in the sitting room did not work, and despite numerous requests to front desk it remained inoperable for the two nights we were there. Housekeeping did not come and whan they were in the unit next door I inquired if they were going to do my unit and was told no. It was later in the afternoon, probably 4:30, BUT they had not come earlier
The toilet did not function properly and there was no one in maintenance when the problem was discovered. The front desk man, Pablo, offered to try to break away and come look at it but the man was already dealing with a lot. He did find a plunger that allowed the water to drain from the bowl but the seal was leaking and the toilet ran continous. Numerous times I had to stick arm into toilet to get it to seal.
Several previous trips things were ok at this location BUT the recent trip seemed to be filled with people that did not care with the exception of Pablo who apologized numerous times.

The front desk staff could use some training in guest hospitality. They were efficient but not welcoming at all. The gentleman who checked us in hardly spoke and seemed perturbed we were there.

For the price that you pay you would expect a far better experience. Upon check in, it was very straight to the point but unlike any other hotel you are given information just at a wifi password...nope not here, you have to figure it out on your own. We had two separate rooms and had to call down for the password when we were told \"I don't know that.\" Then comes the overall room. Great potential with a lot of space, however, in both of our rooms we had one tv that didn't work that for one room we had to repeatedly call about. The other we didn't even bother considering the response from the other room. In this room it definitely had not been cleaned very well from the previous guest given there was a used towel thrown on the floor on the side of the sink, a dirty q-tip on the wall shelf where the wash cloths were, and some dirty brown splatter behind the sink on the wall (not sure if it was blood, makeup, or something else). Again didn't bother complaining given the way we were spoken to about our other room.
Now having stayed at our fair share of hotels in Mexico, Jamaica, and all over the US, we have never had it be that the room was not cleaned and at minimum the bed fixed daily unless we requested it. Well it does not happen here. They have two very very small trash cans that fill up with literally only a few things and it will not get emptied until your third day staying there.
Beware if Brittany is working, she is very rude and should brush up on her customer service.

The hotel was close to the downtown area. The gas station next door had some sketchy people hanging around at times but nothing obviously unsafe. The HVAC in our room did not work very well, the room would get warm and no matter how cold we set the AC, it would only kick on for a few minutes at a time and never really cool the room. The cleanliness of the room was OK, the biggest issue was we found long black hairs (neither me or my wife have long black hair) in several areas of the room, on the toilet, in the bathtub, on towels, on the bathroom floor. That was a bit of a turn off. We never ate the breakfast but the coffee was really good. The staff was very, very friendly and gave us good information on the local area, places to eat, things to see. etc.

The Suite Life

The suite we were in (#428) is quiet, roomy and well laid out in 3 sections and includes all the amenities a guest would need: the entry and separate bathroom with a tub/shower combo, the living area with a good-sized fridge & microwave, couch, a desk, and a large screen TV, and the bedroom area with good lighting for reading, and a comfortable bed. The free breakfast was outstanding with both hot and cold offerings, and the staff kept the dining tables and food/beverage areas replenished and clean. The front desk was extremely welcoming and answered our questions. There is a well equipped workout room with free weights, treadmills, etc., but it lacked mats, disinfectant wipes to clean the equipment, and the water cooler was empty. The indoor pool area which includes a hot tub could be better ventilated as it was quite hot. Overall, an excellent stay, a good value, and we would gladly return.

This is a very nice hotel but the immediate surrounding area and street activity at night is less than desirable.
Mainly the convenience store next door and liquor store across street have lots of homeless activity. The downtown area and restaurants / streets are very nice, clean and safe.
The room amenities could use some updating. The TVs look to be 10+ years old and the furniture is worn. The free Breakfast is actually not bad. Id stay again.
