This property works out great for us when we visit Del Mar. It offers easy access to the freeway and is a reasonable distance from Torrey Pines State Park and the Pacific Ocean beach. The generous full breakfast offered as part of the booking is a real plus. The staff at this hotel are exceptionally friendly and eager for your stay to be enjoyable. Parking in the underground garage costs extra, but is worthwhile as on-street parking is limited.

I reserved a one bedroom suite but was given a handicap room when checking in . I went downstairs and they told me none was available, I checked in online one day before .Seniors we had to step over a bathtub not safe . Not good . They wanted to change rooms the next day after we settled in .

We have stayed here before and it was better. The food quality was not great. They have conference rooms downstairs and sometimes decide to enforce if you can eat in there and sometimes they don't. They also have let us reserve them for free many times for work and suddenly informed us they would charge $30/hour for a room that had no sign indicating that and no one ever using it. The pull out is very uncomfortable so I wouldn't rely on that for another adult to comfortably sleep on. The bathroom did not ventilate very well. The staff are nice and it's a good enough hotel - we were just there for over a week.

The entire hotel was immaculate. From the rooms to the breakfast area everything was clean and comfortable. Our 2 bedroom suite was spacious and accommodated 6 people comfortably. Everything you needed to cook and wash dishes was available in the room. It’s a great pet friendly hotel with a designated area for potty breaks for your dogs. They supply waste bags. The area around the hotel was great for walking my dog. I felt save and took my dog on pleasant walks up and down the hills. I would definitely be staying here again in the future.

Originally I felt bad about not booking the Marriott next door but this place met all my needs and was nice overall. Underground parking was awesome and convenient as well as having a full kitchen.

It added extra money to an already expensive trip and as such added undue stress. Cleaning was also reduced to once a week which I was okay with but staff or a notice should tell you what to do if you want garbage collected or an extra towel. This was a solid hotel. The trash in the common areas could be cleared more often and the room could have been cleaned a bit better. We found crumbs in the kitchen area and the mirror on the bathroom door had finger and lip marks still visible. On the whole, I was happy with the accommodations. To be fair, the staff was really friendly and helpful. That said, the room was pretty dirty. I first noticed hair in the tub (big clumps) and on the floor and called housekeeping to re-clean. They did and were very apologetic. Unfortunately, the mop left more hair on the floor than it picked up. I then started to notice how grimy the room was in general (baseboards were filthy, the inside of the freezer, hair on the desk, etc. When I used a paper towel to wipe up the left behind hair on the floor, it came up black. Kind of gave up asking to have it cleaned - the whole place needs a deep cleaning. Fortunately, was only staying one night.

Too far away from public transportation. We ended up spending a lot of $$ on Uber and Lyft to get where we wanted to be. The sink faucet didn't work correctly, the microwave didn't work correctly and the GFI for the coffee maker kept throwing. A hot tub instead of the very tiny pool would be welcome.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay here for a quick family getaway. We are never disappointed with a stay at a Residence Inn and this one was no different for the most part. The room was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen area is always a nice luxury when traveling with kids. The couple drawbacks here was that when you put out the sofa bed there is almost no room to walk around it, which makes it difficult once you put the kids to bed. The other thing is that the shower door leaked a ton and the floor was always wet after a shower. Also, we booked the hotel for four people and it was only stocked with two towels. I called the front desk and they delivered two more, but it took about 45 minutes or so. Oh and I am never happy about paying for parking. This location charges $15 per night, but they do a good job at including it in the details when you book so at least it is not a surprise. Overall, we would stay here again if the budget allowed.
