I had a reservation for 5 nights and checked in online however when I showed at the hotel they were over booked and gave my room away. So I was stranded in the middle of the night in a town I wasn’t familiar with and the front desk clerk did not offer to help or do anything other then suggest to cancel my reservation.
They did manage to honor the rest of my stay but not having a room for a night definitely soured the entire experience

There was water stains on the walls and stains on the lobby furniture. The pool and hot tub were digusting is was swap water at best. They charged me for the room even though I paid theu expedia still waiting on a refund. Every day we had to reset our key cards to get in the room and they said it was because of house keeping and even when I denied service to the room we had to register our key card again staff was very rude. When asked questions it was like I had bothered them and the \"manager* said I dont know why the staff would tell you that because its not true they should have said some thimg else. I WILL NEVER STAY at this hotel again

doesnt really make sense to write a review about the property b/c i wont get any points or money back. i wont get any kind discount for my next stay.

the hotel must be pretty old b/c it was showing its age. the photos online make this Courtyard look amazing. when yoi see it in person it does not look like the photos except the lobby & bistro.

i had reserved a room with a king bed & sleeper sofa with handicap access. i get ther & the front desk lady was very short with & told me that they didnt have that room availible b/c it had not been cleaned yet. i got there just before 5pm & the room still haf not beens cleaned. she told me it wouldnt be availible until the next b/c cleaning staff had already gone for the day.

so she tried offering another handicap room but it smelt like a boys locker room. no thank you. evently she found me a.room on the 2nd floor the was ready. it still was not what i paid for or wanted.

the pool was very cloudy & merky

the hot tub was ok. it has some damage to it but it didnt stop from going in

we found 2 fleas in our room that we noticed. not sure if they were already in the room or if we tracked them from outside.

its not really worth the $125 per nigt for how the place looks. unless they offered free breakfast.

there are better hotels all around it that i would stay at instead of this Courtyard

My wife and I took an overnight trip to Tyler and chose this hotel for its convenient location and solid reputation. The front desk staff was very friendly, and check-in was quick and effortless. The hotel offered good amenities and was clean and secure overall.However, when we arrived at our room, we found the door slightly ajar, which immediately made me uneasy—I wasn’t sure if someone was still inside or if the room had been broken into. The door frame also had noticeable pry marks on it. Thankfully, the room was empty, and the door still closed and locked properly, so I decided not to report it.The only real downside was that our room was right next to the elevator. The loud dinging sound went off constantly throughout the night—at least a hundred times. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel, but I’d strongly suggest requesting a room far away from the elevator.

The indoor pool was closed and we were not notified ahead of time. I brought my kids and we specifically chose that hotel for the indoor pool. Also the fire alarm randomly went off in the evening for a few seconds and we were never notified why or if there was a problem. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom was clean.

This was one of the most unprofessional and upsetting experiences I’ve ever had.

We paid in full for our room, arrived hours away from home while traveling for a funeral, and were then told the hotel had overbooked and no longer had a room for us. The front desk employee offered a different room with a bed and a pull-out couch. I specifically told him I was stepping outside to check with the girl I was traveling with, and when I came back moments later, he had sold that room to someone else who was there to check in their room that had already been overbooked.

We were left with nowhere to go. Every other hotel in the area was completely sold out. Even after showing proof of payment and our receipt, the response we received was “it’s not my fault the hotel overbooked,” followed by being told there was nothing that could be done, and that we would not be refunded until we contacted Expedia.

There was no effort to help, no attempt to find alternative accommodations, and absolutely no compassion, despite knowing we were in town for a funeral and hours away from home. Overbooking is one thing, but selling a room that was just offered and then leaving paying guests stranded is unacceptable.

This experience showed a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic human decency. I would strongly caution anyone against staying here.

Room was large and comfy. Thin walls and TV did not work in the original room so we had to move rooms the second day (two night stay) which was a nuisance.

Only one elevator was as working so lengthy waits and they appeared short staffed in all areas, but the staff were both friendly and apologetic for any inconvenience or added waits.

The staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful. The room was nice...... but, the parking lamps flickered. Then the light in the shower flickered eerily. One of the elevators was broken, so you either waited a while or walk down 4 flights of stairs. Then compound that with the key not working randomly... ugh... but the staff did all they could to compensate and help out.

Beds too hard, add towel rack and extra mirror

A towel rack is needed in the bathroom, or an extra towel hook. A mirror is needed above the desk to make it easier for a second traveler to get ready in the morning. The bed was too firm/hard. My husband said it was like sleeping on plywood and his hip was hurting in the morning. Not worth the money we paid.

Expectations Were Too High

The check-in was great. I had a surgery early the next morning, so i tried to find the most comfortable stay prior to my procedure. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The pillows were extremely lumpy, bed was really uncomfortable, and the a/c until made a noise all night long. I had already taken my night meds, so moving rooms wasn't possibe since i was on pain meds before my surgery.

We got to the next morning to find that we only had decaf coffee and were told that we would be charged a fee to our room if they made us a pot of coffee.

I thought i was booking a comfortable room to rest, but it was anything but that.

The room was very nice and comfortable. There was no A/C in the hallways or elevators and August in North Texas is ridiculously hot. There were large, noisy fans operating in the hallways.
Went to the lobby for breakfast and found no wait staff. there was a carafe with coffee, a tray of condiments, but no cups.
Maybe just bad timing, but I won't be staying at this hotel again. I will find another Marriot affiliate in Tyler for my next stay.

We could see stains on the hallway's walls. There were signs of repairs in our room's restroom. The building seems like it's struggling to meet the Marriott's standards. There was only one bath towel in the restroom and one roll of toilet paper. The bed seemed broke on one side because the mattress would sink if you laid down to close to the edge. I think the entire hotel needs better maintenance.

Staff was great, lots of amenities, clean rooms, it was all very nice. Only slight problem was once we got into our room, it looked like after they cleaned it they forgot to put everything back in its place. The beds were off the box spring, the lamp was unplugged and in the middle of the floor along with the chair. I know they must have been in a hurry so we just out entering in its place but thought that was a little odd and not what we as guest should have had to do! We would definitely still stay there again because else was perfect.

When we arrived the lady that greeted us was very nice. Checked us in promptly and very pleasant. I went up to our room and opened the door to a awful moldy smell, then looked around and realized I had booked a King Suit and was in a double room. I called front desk and she proceeded to tell me they over booked the hotel and that is all that is available. We got our stuff and headed to the front desk and my husband then chimed in to tell her that was unacceptable and that room smelt terrible on top of it not being the room we booked. She then said we could leave or she could move us to another double room but that was our only options. We don't get out of town often so I was very upset to get a double room. She then said the entire town was booked so if we left we probably won't have other options. We had a wedding to get to in an hour so we took the other double room and moved on. Long story short If I book a King Suite I attend on getting it. Really even made me more irritated that she didn't even say anything when we checked in. Just assumed it was fine.

The hotel has a bar, which is nice. But, our stay was riddled with issues.

Check in was easy & quick. The room had blood stained (and god knows what other bodily fluids) on the oversized chair. I didnt even want to put my bag on it. The plugs didnt work so i couldn't charge anything. The sheets have left me itchy all day. The bed was comfortable enough though.

My main issue is that we had neighbors that were yelling, screaming and laughing it up in the hallway until 3am. Their kids were running up and down the hall screaming at the top of their lungs. They kept screwing with the elevator and making it ding every 5 seconds. The other people on the floor were yelling at them to keep it down & they screamed back at them. It made them even louder. NO HOTEL STAFF WOULD DO ANYYHING ABOUT IT. These people kept an entire floor awake until after 3AM & the hotel did nothing. It was so bad the police should have been called. It was out of control. I understand the hotel cant control who rents a room. However, when paying guests on an entire floor are kept up because they won't call the police or hire security of their own - its ridiculous.

At checkout the lady asked me what was wrong. I told her. I wasnt rude. She didnt do anything & wasnt there. She apologized. I wish she'd offered to get the manager or anything so I could ask why nothing was done about the situation the night before but I hadnt slept in over 24 hours and just wanted to get out of that hotel.

I chose this location because of the indoor pool for my grandson to enjoy some water without my having to sit in sun. We enjoyed our stay overall. However, on our second morning i discovered no coffee or cups. I was disappointed although it wasn't very good.

I paid and reserved a king bed and pull out couch with a walk in ADA compliant shower. When I arrived they put me in a king with pullout couch with regular shower and tub combo. When I asked the front desk they informed me that they don’t have a room that fits that description and the best they could do was a king bed with walk in ADA shower or 2 double beds and a low tub room. When looking at the options they said they would give us both room (adjoining) for the original rate I paid for the one. When I got home I found that I was charged again for the second room for more than I paid for the first.

The check in was slow—the front desk attendant was in the bathroom for 15 minutes, and another employee had to call and text to get someone to come.
