Overall it was a nice stay and what I would expect for a 3 star hotel . The staff was super helpful and nice . The only complaint I have about the room would be the heating. The heating didn’t work great but the staff did leave extra blankets in my room after cleaning without being asked . Maybe consider upgrading or adding a nice portable heater . As far as amenities it would be nice to have WiFi that works , Netflix access , or at least a smart tv to access your own Netflix account . It would also be nice if we were given free bottles of water instead of being charged for it and had microwaves on the rooms to heat up leftovers .

Perfect hotel for our weekend getaway, very close to the bus stop (bus 100 to/from the airport) central location, easy to find, quick check in and check out, clean and tidy room would stay again :)

The staff were friendly. The receptionist even came to help me with my sofa bed when I didn't want to share a double with my sister. It did seem a little run down but it was clean and warm and the room was spacious. The location is very good, right in the middle and with buses to the airport regularly and a metro station close by.

It’s centrally located .. the rooms are big with plenty of space .. you can shower or take a bath … issues are that you have to walk up roll up ur luggage to get to a 1940s open and close 2 doors elevator …for customers with mobility issues that won’t work.. they also don’t provide shampoo .. the bars of soap provided are inadequate… there also is no hair dryer in the room ..there is no same day laundry service… it takes two days to get ur laundry done .

Decent sized 2nd floor room, clean and tidy though requires some upgrading (toilet door, sink) balcony, balcony very dirty,
Very noisy area as is on main boulevard

Very convinient spot next to the metro and plenty of food places around. The room had a nice bath and a kettle, and was very spacious.

Unfortunately the hotel is situated on a very busy road wo it can get very noisy at night!

Convenient no-frills hotel near the Old Town

The location was very convenient for exploring the Old Town of Bucharest. We stayed 2 nights in a twin room. A bit disconcerting that we were not to put paper down the toilet. We were on the main road which is noisy but ok. If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel near the Old Town then this is fine. Hope they get the plumbing sorted soon.

Having stayed in this hotel previously, we were very disappointed in the drop in standard. Having booked a ‘superior’ room, the room we were given was small, noisy, had a broken shower, and no internet WiFi connection (despite reporting the matter a number of times) until the final morning.
The staff seemed to lack management, and were indifferent to issues.
During one night the hotel had an extended power outage. The entire hotel was left in complete darkness, with no emergency lights in corridors or stairways, or even luminous signs marking exits. I’m not certain if this is allowed under EU legislation, but I hate to think of the consequences in an emergency.
On departure, despite our requests, the staff were unable to order any suitable (i.e. reliable taxi) transport for our onward journey. Very poor.

The room was meant for grandeur but the leaky oversized tub in the bathroom with black mold in the grout and the door stopper that allowed only partial access to he sink kind of soured my experience. The furniture and decor are outdated but charming in a way. There were plenty of power outlets and the radiator heat was superb. The staff were really great and went above and beyond to make check in and check out go smoothly.

Overall, it is a good budget hotel in a good location.
It's only 5-10 min walk from Universitate Metro station and you can walk to Old Town (15-20 mins).
There are bakery/ super market/ Currency exchange/ ATM nearby.
It was a little noisy in the room at night because it's located on the main road.

Although the rooms were big and well appointed and the staff were nice, this hotel does not live up to the way it is advertised. The description says it has a restaurant and bar, 24 hour airport shuttle and free breakfast. In reality there is no restaurant or bar, just a place that serves a limited breakfast which we had to pay extra for. The 24 hour airport shuttle translates as them phoning a taxi for you. The location also is not as close to Old Town as we expected, about a 15 min walk and the surrounding area is not particularly attractive.

The room however was excellent. Large bedroom, separate lounge, fridge and decent sized TV and the staff were helpful.

Great location

Good location for the centre of Bucharest, and also close to the metro and bus stop for the airport. Pleasant and helpful staff, and a nice, clean, well looked after room. Only downside for me was I struggled to get a decent night's sleep as I was in a room facing the busy main road, but then I did expect that to be the case so can have no complaints.

Cheap and cheerful.

We stayed here for a stag weekend and it was a perfect find. Clean enough and very affordable. Yes it's a bit run down, but there's a charm about it. The staff were nice and helpful. And the location is very central. Cabs are cheap but you even have the option of the metro - perfect for a trip to the park

Good location but not for long term stays

I stayed several times at this hotel. The good things: the central location, affordable prices, spacious rooms. The bad things: very noisy even in the night on the street side; the air inside the rooms doesn't feel clean enough, probably because they open the windows and there is a large and busy avenue just in front;the doormen are polite but strange, insisting in taking your luggage and showing you the room.

Dodgy hotel porter

Asked the porter give me directions to bar for football. He ordered a taxi and sent me to a strip club. Halfway there somebody jumped in the car and told me he was the manager. Very dodgy. I told him I wanted to watch football and he walked me down the road to another strip club. I walked out. Porter obviously on commission.
