Room was spotless and a good size. Plenty of thoughtful touches like an umbrella, needle and thread etc.

The personnel was extremely kind and available to answer any doubt I had. The ladies at the reception were always smiling.
The position was great, 10 minutes away from the central station by bus or tram (always on time and frequently). Moreover, the beautiful Sansoucci Park was around the corner.

Charming, friendly and well located!

The staff are amazing! I almost don’t want to write this and create unrealistic expectations… but we had the best two nights here. Almost no check in.. just welcome and have a good stay, clean, warm rooms.. with tons of atmosphere and character.. and then when I mentioned my birthday.. a bottle of Prosecco. So friendly and chill. Perfect location on quiet square… parking on the block. Thank you… for being so friendly and making my birthday so special.

Despite being dated and well used the hotel is clean and staff very friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location for exploring the palaces/grounds as well as the city. All are walkable over cobblestones. Beds are comfy, rugs should be replaced. It’s an old building so it’s not perfect.We were given a corner room over the square, it was quite spacial . Despite being on the public street we had no problem with noise/sleeping.
They provided earplugs if needed, we did not.
Be sure to go into hotel before parking in garage , they have a discount pass you can use.

Perfect spot for exploring both Berlin and Potsdam

Friendly and helpful reception staff; room was spacious and excellent. It was right next to the beautiful Potsdam Altstadt and had a lively restaurant and shopping scene. It was also next to the lovely Sansouci imperial park grounds, which was great for walking and running and sightseeing along the run. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in a perfect location

Perfect location! My room overlooked Luisenplatz and the Brandenburger Tor. There was a weinfest going on that I didn't expect, so that was a bonus. Great wine and music. The parking was very easy. The spacious and modern garage is located directly under the main square and there's a pedestrian entrance across from the hotel. Even though I booked a small room with a twin bed, since it was just me...the room was comfortable, clean, and had a fan and other little amenities like an umbrella that I wasn't expecting. They accept pets, so I was able to bring my dog for a small fee. Check-in was earlier than some hotels. There is an elevator. Easy walk to Sans Souci Palace, down the main shopping street, and even as far as the Dutch Quarter. Plenty of dining options nearby...Chi Keng had yummy Asian food. Finally, the hotel breakfast tasted great and had a good selection. I would stay here again.

Great location and room.

Amazing location and so close to Sanssouci. Staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly and while the breakfast buffet cost more than is typical (at least for my travels), it was definitely worth it. Elevator was a plus. The room was large, very clean, and comfortable. We had a wonderful and would highly recommend.

Classic \"old world\" hotel (no air conditioning) about a 10 minute walk from Sans Souci Palace and near Potsdam old town. Parking garage across the street (12 euros for 24 hours) and they served gelato (3 flavors) at breakfast!

Not a 4 star hotel

Booked a double room while on the road and accidentally booked for one adult even though the room was large enough for two people and the cost online was by room size not per person. The hotel charged me extra when we arrived for my niece (a child) though the room needed nothing else to accommodate the \"person.\"

The hotel is VERY dated. Most outlets didnt work. There was no air conditioning. They provided a fan that was of little use. The windows were left open before we arrived so the room was quite warm.There was a lamp for light and it didnt work in the switch. The instructions for use of the parking garage were terrible costing us extra. Overall the ONLY good thing about this hotel was the location. Definitely NOT a **** hotel and we stayed at 10 hotels while on our trip in Europe. This was the poorest quality.

Local knowledge is excellent.

The hotel could not be better placed. A view of the old Brandenburg Gate greets you from the doorway. Shopping areas and the Dutch Quarter are within a few minutes walk. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about their city. Their English is impeccable.

Great location

I was really disappointed as I thought I would spoil myself and stay in a 4 star. This hotel has nice lobby but thats it. Rooms are old and my shower was so small I could not move as I kept hitting tap. No aircon but provided a fan as it was 30 degrees. Quite moisy as stayed on weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful but this is definately a 3 star hotel . I have stayed in nicer 3 stars. Apparently they get the 4 star as they have a sauna. It is in a good location.

We had a double room 'Palais'. It was a lovely large room with a seating area and a balcony overlooking the square. It was also very close the Sanssouci Park. Parking is in the underground car park but you need to go to the hotel to get a card for it first to pay less.

Hotel position very close to restaurants and bars. Hotel staff extremely friendly and helpful and room was a good size, very clean and we had a great view across Luisenplatz to Potsdam's Brandenburg Tor. Sanssouci Park is just around the corner. Highly recommended.

Wife chose a good one.

Excellent location on the plaza adjacent to the main shopping and eating thoroughfare in the heart of the city. Had an upper room with a view of all of this. Room was spacious, clean with excellent amenities. Beds were comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. On the bus route from the train station and tour buses to palaces and other historic sites. Would have stayed another day but hotel was booked. Included breakfast also very good.

每天服务员都会对房间进行打扫，需要换的毛巾及时换上。我们房间的位置非常好，有阳台，站在阳台或窗口都能看到勃兰登堡门，景色非常棒。房间没有烫衣板，听说德国酒店房间不可以放，但是他们有烫衣服的设备，问前台就可以，前台的服务员非常友好，乐于助人。

1人には広い部屋で広さには満足しました。
バスタブもあり、くつろげます。
バスタブに供給されるお湯の温度調整が難しいことと水がやや黄色いこと（水質なのかもしれません）が少し気になりました。
翌日の朝食は種類も多く満足しました。

Das Zimmer war sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. Leider fehlt eine Klimaanlage und bei großer Hitze schafft nur ein mobiler Ventilator etwas Abkühlung.

Bilder auf Hotels.com passen nicht zur Realität

Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend, alles andere enttäuschend. Die Bilder passen keinesfalls mehr zur Realität. Das Hotel ist abgewohnt, der Frühstücksraun eine öffentliche Lokalität, wenn auch mit Sicherheit mit guter Attraktivität, aber auch recht abgenutzt. Ich war enttäuscht.

Perfekt beliggenhed

Vi havde et virkeligt godt ophold på hotel am Luisenplatz. Beliggenheden er perfekt, både i forhold til bymidte og Sanssouci. Eneste minus:meget store, tykke hovedpuder. Vi fandt dog et par tynde i skabet, der var dog ikke nok til hele selskabet.
God morgenmad. Hotellet håndterer coronasituationen godt.

Das Zimmer für die Einzelperson war super,
das DZ für die gebuchten 2 Personen eher mäßig für eine
4 Sterne Unterkunft.
Das Zimmer eher klein. Das obere Fenster war offen. Um es zur Nacht zu schließen mußte man auf einen Stuhl und das Fernsterbrett steigen, um an den Verschluß zu kommen.
Badezimmer Fußboden mehrfach beschädigt und schlecht geflickt. Stange der Duschhalterung fiel bei der ersten Berührung aus der Verankerung.
Im seperaten WC-Raum mußte man sich um die Tür winden um diese dann zu schließen.

Fint hotell med bra läge i Potsdam.

Bilade till Österrike. Stannade en natt i Potsdam. Hotellet var verkligen fint. Vi fick ett stort rum med 2 sovrum. Peronalen var trevlig. Ett minus är att hotellet inte hade parkering för sina gäster. Fanns ett publikt garage eller ställa på gatan en bit från hotellet.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Hotel ist durch seine Lage am Luisenplatz perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Besuche von Sanssouci und der Innenstadt. Tolle große Zimmer und super ausgestattet.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück.

Nicht mehr das, was es war....

Wir hatten ein Familienzimmer (zwei Schlafzimmer) gebucht. Bei Anreise wurde uns etwas von „Problemen mit dem Buchungssystem“ erzählt. Das lange im Voraus gebuchte und bestätigte Zimmer war nicht verfügbar. Stattdessen wurde uns eine aufgebettete Suite als „Upgrade“ angeboten. Zusätzlich ein Doppelzimmer für die Kinder, auf der gleichen Etage. Allerdings am anderen Ende des Flures. Nicht gerade das richtige wenn man als Familie verreisen will. Wir entschieden uns also für die Suitenvariante.
Als eine Art Wiedergutmachung wurde uns angeboten das Frühstück in der angrenzenden Gastronomie zu übernehmen. Dieses Angebot konnten wir leider nur an einem Morgen wahrnehmen. Es war nur an diesem Tag möglich einen Tisch für uns als Familie zu bekommen, obwohl 60% frei waren. Alle anderen Tische waren angeblich reserviert....
Und zu weiteren Gästen wollten wir uns nicht direkt zusetzen. Eigentlich hatte die höchst unfreundliche Mitarbeiterin nur keine Lust weitere Tische zu bedienen.
Das Hotel hat sich mit dem Anschluss an diese Gastronomie, aus meiner Sicht, keinen Gefallen getan.
Daran können auch die sehr zuvorkommenden und stets bemühten Mitarbeiter des Hotels leider nichts ändern.
An der Sauberkeit im Zimmer/ Bad sollte nochmal gearbeitet werden.
Mir war das Hotel aus früheren Aufenthalten in guter Erinnerung. Diese wurde leider nicht bestätigt und wir werden den nächsten Potsdam-Urlaub garantiert nicht wieder dort verbringen.

Lage des Hotels sehr Zentral, kein eigener Parkplatz aber Parkhaus direkt vorm Hotel, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Zimmer sind nostalgisch aber im guten Zustand mit Flachbildschirm und Minibar 1.Füllung im Preis enthalten, Frühstücksbüffet lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sauna wird auf Wunsch eingeschaltet
