I'd stay again. Beautiful hotel on beautiful grounds. Food was good and the sauna on the water is so cool. Nice indoor and outdoor pool!!!

Great location, poor facilities.
Check-in and the reception service were fine. The breakfast in the morning was great. The room, however, reeked of smoke and was really dated. I’m not sure how they justify €200 per night.
The location is lovely and great for a restful break. We stopped off for a day off on a trip around Germany as we knew it would be hot. We wanted to use the leisure facilities, which cost an extra €11 each per day. Not sure why they’re charging guests this.
The leisure facilities are really poorly run. The food and drink there is awfully overpriced and limited. Eg. The only soft drink they had available was Coke. No other options. We ordered at the bar and it arrived about 20 minutes later at our loungers by the pool.
Then the sauna etc. One positive here, the steam room was great. However, they don’t turn the sauna on until someone wants to use it. We were told it takes 20 mins to heat up so we came back 20 mins later and sat chatting to a guy in the COLD sauna for about 15 mins. It was still completely cold as the sauna is huge. No way it could heat up in 20 mins.
Overall, this place has huge potential and is situated by a lovely lake. However, it seems to be poorly managed and represents poor value for money for its guests.

This is a phenomenal place to stay. Swim in the lake after having a sauna on a boat in a very quiet area that is lush with fine flora and lovely people. The building is very well maintained and breakfast is particularly excellent. Very helpful and professional staff and very comfortable. Highly recommended !!

My wife and I visited this hotel and stayed over at the pool and spa all day. The hotel is fantastic and the city is also an amazing place to visit. We loved it!

This is a nice place if you have a car or if you don't want to leave the hotel. The breakfast is ok but the restaurant doesn't offer much of a selection for dinner. Staff tried to charge me for a second room which I did not book then threatened to call the police when I refused to pay for the room that I didn't use.

We stayed for three nights. Good room with balcony overlooking the river/lake. Plenty of free parking with garage available at additional cost. Hotel is clearly popular for conferences and business meetings.
Location is at the end of the Insel and very peaceful. Hotel restaurant is good with choice of regional and some 'cheffy' creations.
Although a little way out from Potsdam centre, there is a nearby bus service and water taxi which is a little infrequent.
Berlin is an easy day trip by train and the Palaces are accessible by tours and buses from the town centre.
Recommended as an alternative to staying in central Berlin and travelling by car.

We were on a return trip to Potsdam last time was in 1967-68 what a change the old darkness and depression was gone and we found ourselves surrounded by beautiful Lakes trees and friendly people .

Pas une seule indication en anglais dans l’hôtel, uniquement en allemand.
Pas de rideau occultant dans la chambre , les lits doubles ne sont que 2 petits lit individuel rapprochés.
Le parking de l’hôtel était gelé et il n’y avait pas de sel, il a fallu faire la remarque ou c’était une véritable patinoire afin qu’ils mettent du sel.
Le peignoir dans la chambre était déchiré , il n’y a pas de chaussons ( pour un hôtel spa c’est moyen ) mais bon le but est de vendre les sandales de l’hôtel

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt geht leider zu Ende – wir haben die Zeit im Inselhotel sehr genossen! Das Hotel liegt traumhaft am Templiner See, hat eine wunderbare schwimmende Sauna, von der aus man sich direkt im See abkühlen kann.
Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig- besonders können wir auch das Restaurant empfehlen - wir waren an 3 Abenden dort zu Gast.

Super ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit wirklich ausgezeichnetem Personal, leckerem und reichhaltigen Frühstück. Die Küche der angeschlossenen Restaurants ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wellness kostet extra, ist einen Besuch wert. Komme gerne wieder.

Virkelig fint hotel. Ligger lidt udenfor Potsdam men i ok afstand til centrum til fods og med cykelfærgen. Også fint at opleve området på cykel, som kan lejes ved hotellet. Venlig og hjælpsom personale , både i receptionen og i restaurant samt morgenmadsområde. Spa og massager var også i top. Det eneste der undrede os var at der ikke var “ equipment” i badeværelse. Vi rejser meget og der er altid vatpind, lotion mm på værelse, dog ikke her. Det er dog småting i forhold til oplevelsen.

Cosy hotel for a relaxed stay
We had a nice three night trip to Potsdam as a couple. This hotel is located on a quiet Hermannswerder island which is easily reachable by bus from main railway station or the city centre.
Our standard two-bed room was clean. The room looked over the parking lot in front of the hotel, which was surprisingly noisy from early on in the morning – in the first night, around 5 to 6 in the morning there was a clattering truck (probably bringing food to the hotel restaurant’s kitchen), so one of us could not sleep properly after. It was summer time so we needed to keep the window open since there was no air conditioning in the room, which of course added to the noisyness, but even with the windows closed it wasn’t very quiet. Also, in the morning people start to pack their cars before checking out so the rattle of the luggage starts. All these are of course normal chores at a hotel, but next time I would choose a room from the lake side of the hotel. Windows had a mosquite net btw, which was great!
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast had quite nice selection (missed more fresh vegetables).
We spent some hours by the outdoor pool, which was clean and quiet. We would’ve wanted to try the Sauna by the lake and take a dip in the lake, but the day we we’re going to, there was blue-green algae in the water (at least to us it looked like this harmful bacteria), so we did not want to risk it.
All in all we had a very nice and relaxed stay, and will come back some time!

Mein Zimmer hatte leere Wände. Potsdam liegt nah an der Kunstzentrum der Welt: Berlin. Wie kann ein 4 Sterne Hotel so lieblos Ihre Zimmer gestalten.
Die Terrasse draußen war auch nutzlos das es zu viele Körner vom Baum fiel. Das war wirklich aus einem schlechten Komödie. Und leider war das Essen sehr banal. Currywurst mit Champagner? Ist das einen Witz ?

Die Lage ist wunderschön, die Mitarbeiter sehr nett und gut organisiert. Aber die Küche war furchtbar. Ganz schlechte Auswahl an essen (Currywurst und Champagner...?) und das Zimmer sehr lieblos gestaltet. Leere Wände ohne Kunst, und dass neben Berlin, Kulturstadt Par excellence. Ich habe mir viel mehr von diesem Hotel gewünscht.

Idyllische Lage am See, gutes Restaurant, gutes Frühstück und sauber. Das an sich gut geführte Hotel hat leider einige kleine Mängel, so sind die Nutzung des Pools und der Sauna gebührenpflichtig. Der Aufschlag für die Zimmer zur Seeseite ist ungerechtfertigt, da es keinen Balkon gibt und man den See nur durch den schönen alten Baumbestand erahnen kann. Dass die Parkplätze gebührenpflichtig sind, ist ebenfalls zu bemängeln. Ansonsten soweit in Ordnung, man könnte atmosphärisch aber mit wenigen Investitionen deutlich mehr daraus machen.

Es war in Ordnung. Es hat die Atmosphäre eines Tagungshotels. Die Restaurants und die Terrasse sind so groß, daß das wenige Personal sehr lange Wege zurücklegen muß. Die Leute sind zwar freundlich aber wirken gehetzt. Was schade ist, weil die Qualität der angebotenen Speisen über dem Erwartungshorizont liegt. Für ein WE zu zweit? Geschmackssache. Die Lage ist für Erholungssuchende gut, für Stadtbesichtigungen aber zu weit vom Schuß. Angenehme Umgebung mit historischen Bauten.

Den lidt specielle beliggenhed er på mange måder en stor fordel. Morgen- og aftensmad kan indtages på en dejlig terrasse med udsigt til vand og skov - helt uden støj fra andet end bølgerne. Til gengæld må man påregne lidt større transporttid til centrum, hvor cykler, vandtaxa, bus eller bil kan anvendes.

Wir haben zu den geplanten drei gebuchten Nächten noch drei zusätzliche gebucht,weil uns das hotel absolut überzeugt mit Komfort und Service.uns gefällt es hier wirklich sehr gut. Die exklusive Lage auf der Insel macht das Hotel einzigartig auf seine Weise.Die von hieraus zu startenden Fahrrad Touren sind wunderschön.der Service und die Freundlichkeit sowie die Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter sind aus unserer Sicht Extraklasse. Der Bootssteg mit seinem Ausblick,der Wellness Bereich mit dem Angebot an Massagen oder Getränken und kleinen Snacks und Cocktails suchen seines gleichen. Die Freundlichkeit der receptions Mitarbeiter ist aus unserer Sicht unübertroffen.bei der Auswahl unserer Fahrradtouren wurde uns jederzeit hilfreich unter die Arme gegriffen.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder zu dieser Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung.

Der Ärger : im „Nichtraucherhotel“ roch unser erstes Zimmer stark nach Zigarettenrauch. Es lag im ersten Stock direkt über einem Grossraumaschenbecher vor der Bar.
Nach unserem Protest versprach man uns für den nächsten Tagen ein anderes Zimmer. Dies lag allerdings nur wenige Meter entfernt vom vorherigen, der Aschenbecher wurde trotz Zusage nicht entfernt. Wir bekamen also immer wieder Rauch ins Zimmer.
Ganz schlimm wurde es nachts, meist gegen 2 Uhr. Mitarbeiter oder Gäste kamen aus der unter uns liegenden Bar und redeten und lachten laut. Viele Zigaretten wurden geraucht.
Proteste bei den dort Weilenden brachten nur kurzfristig Milderung.
In jeder Nacht gab es diese Störungen unseres Schlafs.
Doch die letzte Nacht war der Gipfel. 4 x sind wir ans Fenster gegangen, haben uns bei 2 Männern beschwert, die unter unserem Fenster laut quatschten und rauchten.
Sie nahmen unsere Beschwerden nicht ernst und machten weiter, bis wir die Rezeption anriefen und mit einer Beschwerde dafür sorgten, dass ein Mitarbeiter die Männer dort weg holte. Später hat einer dieser Männer die Tür des ihn abholenden Taxis mit einer solchen Wucht zugeschlagen, dass an Schlaf nicht mehr zu denken war.
Sollte wohl eine Retourkutsche sein. 3:00 morgens !

Im Saunabereich gibt es nur vier Liegen und der Raum selbst ist viel zu warm, um sich erholen zu können. Kein Außenbereich im Saunabereich. Im Bademantel kann man zum Außenpool gelangen, benötigt aber die Zimmerkarte um wieder zurück zu kommen. Die Seesauna ist noch außer Betrieb, aber auch später nicht über den Saunabereich erreichbar.
Alles zusammen ein schönes Hotel und es war mit der Einschränkung für den Spa Bereich ein schöner Aufenthalt

Hotel hat eine sehr schöne Lage, Anmerkung ist bei den Zimmern, könnten mal modernisiert werden bzw. eine Klimaanlage wäre gut, wirklich warm sobald die Sonne scheint, Personal wirklich super freundlich. Zudem fühlt man sich als junge Frau schon merkwürdig behandelt wenn der Kellner mit der Rechnung kommt und etwas sagt \"ich geh mal davon aus, dass der Mann unterschreibt\". Ähm...na dann.
Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, aber der Raum brkommt dann leider erwas Kantinenflair, da das Essen in einer Ecke aufgebaut ist und alle die ganze zeit dorthin pilgern. Kaffee wird ungefragt in Kannen auf den Tisch gestellt, auch für Teetrinker.
