Got to our room and found the heat was left on in our room. The room was very small and the heat being left on made it VERY hot. I am 8 and a half months pregnant and it was very uncomfortable. Tried to turn on the tv and the tv was not working. I called the front desk to see if there was special instructions for the tv and if they had a fan to get some air flow in to cool it down. They offered to have maintenance come and check the tv but said they had no fans. I tried to switch rooms but was told I had to go through Expedia. I called them and they stated I had to go through the main hotel. Just getting the run around at this point. So I call the office back and called 4 times and got no answer. I said forget it and left to go eat. When I’m out to dinner the office calls and says the maintenance guy is at my room I then stated I was not there and was at dinner. So I call back once I’m done with dinner and wait an additional 55 minutes for him to show back up. At this point it’s almost 9pm. He shows up to find out the HDMI was never connected. So the tv gets fixed but it’s still a million degrees in our room and I’m high risk 8 1/2 months pregnant and uncomfortable. Got nothing but run around from the front desk. The room was hot all night. I couldn’t sleep. Tried to go on one last outing before baby comes and take our youngest kiddo for a night on spring break. Turned into a not so great outing..

No one was at the office during normal business hours with a sign on the door that we had to drive to a separate location to their sister hotel to check in. Once we got to our room, as soon as we opened the door we noticed the air was stale and musty as if the windows and doors had not been open in a long time, and a nauseating smell like they had painted recently. We had to open the windows to air the place out although it was cold outside. And since the office/front desk was closed, we couldn’t ask for anything we needed like extra towels etc.

The room wasn't anything like it is shown in the add. It was small and cramped with not even a small chair or table. The microwave was stuffed into a cubbyhole that required getting on your hands and knees with a flashlight to see the controls. The TV did not work and no safety rails in the bathroom. The steps leading up to the porch and front door were not marked, as required by code. The porch lighting had no control switch. They turned on randomly at odd times during daylight hours but were off in the evening. This place is the worst place we have ever stayed. If this is OYO, then we will never book another stay at their properties. There is no on-sight staff, One needs to drive to another OYO property. We did and there was nobody to address our concerns. We went again to try to speak to staff and were told that the owners of that property were not very responsive to previous complaints by others who had booked a stay there. We then decided to end our stay and left that day. Our booking was for Jan, Tues 27 thru to Jan 30th. We had gone on Wed 28th to speak to someone but knowbody was there. We went again on Thur 29th and ended our stay there,,,a day early. It was a total wasted booking for us.

Really thin walls, I could hear the people in the next room snoring. There was a very bright porch light that made it seem like daylight in the middle of the night with the curtains shut. Otherwise it was what I expected for the price. I would stay again if I wanted a cheap basic motel, but bring a sleeping mask and ear plugs (which I normally travel with, just didn't happen to have this time.)

Parking was ok. I was shocked at the small size of the room. I was glad that my wife was not able to be there. Due to room size. The counter is so large that it cuts down on the access to enter the room and because of this it causes the room refrigerator to block easy access to the bathroom.
Several wall outlets are loose, so when you plug in something it falls out. Noise was another downfall, Doors slamming and a lot of stomping or pounding.
There is no staff onsite, you must check in at a different hotel to get room key.

Great location, great price, no ac so probably don't stay during hot days. small wall heater that you find in most bathrooms. tv worked great. shower was nice. no chair. extra tall ceiling with huge ceiling fan with very good lights. you will have to pick up the key at their other location about 4 blocks away. the wifi password was misspelled on the info note. use all lowercase. outside ice machine worked great. no soda machine. would stay again if the price was as good.

Tiny room that needs attention. My suggestions: mount the tv to the wall. Move the microwave to on top of the refrigerator. Take the big bulky desk out and replace with small table and 2 chairs. Replace the bed, its old and broken. And finish the repairs on the bathroom. Screen for window above bed.

I like the walking distance to the beach. Did not like that you had to check in at a different hotel. There is no A/C so had to have a window open and had people that wasn’t staying at the hotel agreeing outside. Then on the second night the power went off from the suite beside us using their microwave and they couldn’t get the power on, so we got moved to the hotel where we checked in at. Nice hotel, but a few mins into having a shower there was no hot water, so ended having a cold shower.

Everything was great other than when we got there at 5pm no one was there to check us in. We had to go to another building and still no one. There were 5 separate parties waiting to check in. Finally someone pulled up carrying food, opened up and started checking people in.

The flies were a nuisance. We found that the breeding ground was under the sink and could use some repairs so the moisture doesn't provide that spot for them.

First of all. We had to drive a mile away to check in and pick up the keys. It was a crazy busy weekend and it took an hour with traffic. That should not be happening. You should be able to check in at the location and the info was not provided to us.

Second the pictures made the place look 5 stars when it was really 3. We booked the two bedroom suite and the entrance was through the first bedroom. So when our friends needed to walk their dog in the morning they had to wake us up to do it.

Everything else was ok. No view but just a short walk to the seaside strip and the beach.

Picture shows kitchenette. A microwave and small fridge are all that’s included. The trash, right outside our door was overflowing the whole weekend. This brought a stench and flies. Then a child’s skateboard was stolen out of the back of our vehicle. Because we were parked away from the street, we felt this was either an employee or another guest. Given the price we paid to stay here. It definitely was not worth it.We definitely will not stay here again.

Enjoyed staying at City Center Motel one night. It was convenient and clean and quiet. I was surprised to need to go to a nearby motel to pick up the key to my room but it was just a minutes drive to get there and the person at the desk was friendly and efficient. No worries.

This was a last minute booking, it happened to be a weekend that was hot and there was a volleyball tournament. Figures. The pictures don’t look bad and I mistakenly didn’t take the time to read the reviews… the property is really sketchy and for a lack of a better word right now, it’s gross. The shower that made me cringe at the look of it, didn’t even work. We couldn’t shower after our day at the beach since the part to make the water come out of the shower head came right out when pulled up.

It was dirty, dusty, and just straight up horrible. Don’t stay here.

It was pretty ghetto from the moment I got there. Like you had to go check in at a sister property. When I got there, you get Lucy and Ethel working the front desk. At least they were delightful. The room was about 150 sq ft. I paid $681 for two nights. That was the saddest part. The bathroom door had writings on the inside part of the bathroom. The bathroom outlets don’t work. They had physical keys and not cards so you had to leave them on the microwave when you check out. I did and they called me claiming there were no keys. I was in the middle of my tournament. Thankfully, I was in between games and saw my phone rang so I could instruct them it’s right on the microwave to the right of the cup. I will never stay at this motel for the price I paid. The cleaning ladies were at least good at the sheets and clean room other than the bathroom door writings/ drawings. Looked like child had drawn on the door.

Pictures are deceiving. Either we got the smallest room possible or the pictures were not valid. Felt like a NYC closet. Less than a foot between bed and bathroom. No AC. Had to keep window close as it opened up to another rooms front door with ppl in and out all hours. For the amount of money paid, expected MUCH more. No staff on site had to go to another motel 5 min away and wait to get a single key. Felt catfished to be honest. Only thing that was good about was location and just a few blocks away from walkway. I would not choose to stay here again. No amenities. Mini fridge was cold but housekeeping left it open so all our stuff in there was ruined. Tried to call management but hung up after being on hold for 10 minutes. Overall spend a lil bit more money and get something bigger and better amenities. It was clean though, will give them that.

The bed was comfortable but the room wasn’t. It was so small we couldn’t even walk into it without turning sideways. The TV didn’t work, there wasn’t an end table on the side of the bed, the towel rack fell off, there wasn’t any type of bathroom counter or any place to unpack our clothes es. We had to make coffee on the floor because there wasn’t a plug in for the coffee pot. We were told by the advertising that there was a pool, but it was taken out 8 years ago! I was very disappointed. There was no manager on site and we had to drive across town to check in. The only thing that was nice was that there was a maid that cleaned the room daily, and we could walk to downtown. The room should have cost around $80 per night, but we were way overcharged! We paid over $250 because there was a tournament in town!

The location was the only positive . They had tried to slap paint on an old motel that was falling apart and charge high prices . The electric wiring was all wrong , plugs and switches not working, coffee maker won’t reach the extension cord plug unless you put the coffee maker on the floor . Overfilled trash cans with dirty diapers outside our room . Flies all around it so outside of our room was full of flies . House keeping was there on checkout but no one paying attention to 2 large trash cans outside . For check in I got 3 emails but not one mention that check in as at another property!!! Find another place .

Firstly, we finally get to the motel after a 2 hour drive, only to find out we had to drive to the other side of town to check in at the Coastal Riverside OYO (CRO). We finally get to the room, and its in a dark corner of the motel, with a view of an exterior wall, and the bathroom window view is a building side about 5 INCHES away from the. That's when I realized there was no A/C; AND no fan in the bathroom! There were no outlets charge our phones—my daughter found one after she moved her bed. There seemed to be another one blocked by an installed shelf, so it was unreachable. There were no dresser, just shelves. The room sleeps 4; & were only 4 small towels. My daughter found several black hairs in her bed so she feared the sheets weren't changed (I believe they were, but she was uncomfortable) —I called the only number I could find (for new sheets) and it came to the main OYO number—he finally gave me the CRO direct number, the City Centre office is perm. closed. I called it several times and the call failed—it seems out of service. So, I drove there in person, only to find that they wouldn't give me sheets at their location but I could only get sheets from the City Centre loc.—so she needed to call and request someone to go there to retrieve them. Then the power went out (the whole city) But, our room was so dark because of the windows block out most outside light. Had to drive back to the other location—&we never got the sheets, so he gave us sheets from the OCO loc!

The fact we had to go a few blocks down the road to check in is mind boggling. The tv wasn't working, but it was 9:30 pm so we dealt with it.

The outlet behind the nightstand, only half of it worked.

I stayed here a few years ago, and it was great, so tried it again.

Clearly, it's new ownership.

To say we won't be back is an understatement, no matter the price.

When we arrived, we had to drive to the other side of town to check in. There was 2 people at the desk but only 1 actually workinb, other one was just sitting there. There was a line of people so check in took forever. Drove back to pur hotel, which was 2 blocks from town and 3 blocks from the beach, which was the best part. We went inside and it was the smallest room ever! Housekeeper did great at cleaning, but eveything was old and ran down and no AC. The fridge smelt like it was 50 yrs old. No counter space to put anything, 1 night stand cause the bed barely fit in there. I cant believe how mucu you guys are charging for that. Its insane! The walls were insanly thin, you could hear everything! Would not recommend for anyone but maybe a single person.

Quaint older motel style that has been updated. Our room was pretty small, but had the basics available. Bed was comfortable, and it was very quiet. Parking was available at our front door. We had to drive to another location to get our room key. The clerk was very friendly though. Excellent location, a short walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We ate at the Times Theatre & Public House. Highly recommend the pretzel knots & beer cheese, $11 flights. If you time it right, you can watch a movie on the big screen while you eat! I would stay here again, as the price was excellent for the location!

The only negative part was we had ants everywhere in the kitchen including the dishwasher and cabinets that our food was in. We called the front desk and they didn’t have anyone come out for 2 days.

We booked a room under the name of one hotel, and were sent to another location across town. The room was VERY small, and the bathroom was MICRO. The bathroom sink cabinet vaneer was peeling away. The room was very clean, as was the bathroom, and in general, it was still in good shape. If the facility was advertised as having no AC - it wasn't prominant, as the fact that it had no AC caught me unaware. In general, this is not the sort of place that I would stay at voluntarily, but for one night - it was available and tollerable.

Arrived to location to have to go to another location for a key as the office was closed. Arrived and noticed right away that they had stains on the bedding. I’m not a picky person but these were the type of stains you don’t want to sleep on! Sign outside says free WiFi so does the ad however WiFi was non existent. Went to turn on tv and what do you know that wasn’t working either. I called the front desk and mentioned the issues. Worst customer service as she says sorry to late for these to get fixed mind you it was 6pm. She was unapologetic or offered any fix. Terrible place!

Just a one night stay. The picture is definitely not an example of what the room looks like. I wish the TV worked. It was just a one night stay. Good place if you just need someplace to sleep for a night.

We were not informed that the office would be closed during our stay and that we would have to head back away from the water to go to the sister hotel to check in. It took over 20 minutes for us to drive just a couple miles of even that. They were friendly and checking in was pretty fast. Then we made the 20 minute trip back. Her hotel was rundown and smelled of something dead mixed with unclean sweaty body. The facility was pretty rundown. Bedroom super small but a very nice big bathroom. There were not enough towels and the towels were medium too small meaning that not everything is covered when you use them and I’m a petite person. The location is pretty loud and the walls are very thin no air conditioning as advertised, but there was a fan. The switches on the wall did not work, but you could manually turn the fan and light on by pulling the string. We had a pet and there were zero amenities for the pet yet there was still a pet fee. Unfortunately will not be back.

The place was cute and easy to find. But unfortunately the cleaning wasn’t the best. We found a huge pile of dust and hairball left on the ground.

The room we were in was at the rear of the motel with a view of the back fence. We weren't crazy about that, however we did find the room to be comfortable and offer everything we needed.
