Rude staff, not accommodating. Room service is awful. NOISY hotel. Next to the lift, so can hear it every ten seconds. They had drilling going on till 2am - the mirror in bathroom was shaking with the drilling. The cleaner knocked on the door at 8am when checkout is 12. Crappy sleep, old dated room. Tv volume goes up and down on its own. Sink right infront on toilet. No space. Waste of a night. They need to upgrade their rooms. Worst hotel experience.

An excellent place in great condition with a charmingly retro look from the 1970s. I was warmly greeted at the front desk by Youssef, which set the tone for a fantastic three night stay.

The room was spacious, clean and tidy.
The breakfast was very apetizing and well laid out.
All staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful.

The only down side was the bus timetables were out of date had 2024 dates on. So wee incorrect. Also some conflicting info from staff. The airport shuttle bus DOES run on a sunday as there are flights on a sunday. Taxi of over 100€ was a ridiculous suggestion.
Instead taxi 15€ to bus station. Shuttle to airport 10€ (35€ in total)

Despite being much further from the main town, we are happy with the choice. Catching a bus is a much better option as parking is impossible.
There is a shopping area directly opposite with reasonably priced meal/bar options.
The hotel has an excellent pool area right on the ocean and a promenade to the marina.

My wife and I stayed at Kapetanios Odysseia Hotel May 22 - May 25. We really enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. We would especially like to note the friendliness of the hotel staff. We would especially like to note Olga’s work at the reception. She helped us a lot in organizing excursions.
The weather was beautiful at this time of year. The sea water was a little cold, about 20 degrees.
The hotel room had a small balcony. Overall not bad. But the bathroom is very small and smells like sewage. Very unpleasant. The restaurant, patio and pool are wonderful. The food is also good.

Excellent choice in Limassol

My husband and I stayed at the Kapetanios Odysseia Hotel for three nights. We came to Limassol with friends to run the 10K and to visit nearby sites. The room was comfortable and quiet. The buffet breakfast was especially impressive; the variety of items was more extensive and generous than we have ever seen (and we travel quite a lot). The staff was also extremely accommodating to us on the day of the run. By the time we returned to the hotel, the breakfast hours had concluded, but they went to the trouble of making us fresh-squeezed orange juice and an omelet. We were SO grateful. Thank you!

The lobby and location are pleasant.
My room was a 'Superior' room and it was VERY tired and grubby.
I have never experienced a bed so hard in my life. Maybe if I'd been in priso I wouldn't be able to say that. The bed was so hard that during my first night of 3, I moved from the bed to the settee around 3:00am and slept on that for the remainder of the stay. When I asked, I was told all beds are the same.
The bathroom was small with mouldy grout and dirty cornes around the bath. I will NEVER stay here again and I have no idea why i can achieve a rating of 8/10 on Hotels.com
The only bright part for me was the lovely staff in the hotel.

We stayed for 1 night with my familiy and it was very comfortable for us. Very safe for the children and enjoyed with the child’s pool. The beach is just walking distance crossing the road. Good for a quick stop if you’re in the city for other reasons - the location is excellent and the parking is super convenient.

However the decor and rooms feel like the 1970s. There is also a very strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel - likely because it’s not been refurbished since smoking indoors was banned. All in all - pleasant but really would not stay here again.

Really nice location, nice 30min walk to the Old Port but very nice beaches available within 2-3min walking distance, similar to restaurants, supermarkets, shops, so super convenient. Very friendly staff, nice pool, very quiet and comfortable, so perfect to relax, providing also towels for the pool area. Breakfast was not really the greatest, definitely need improvement.

They cleaned the room only once during my stay there which was for 7 days and they changed bed sheets also once and they didn’t bother to clean the balcony at all . My towel wasn’t changed for 3 days . I reserved a superior room , but it seems all superior rooms are located on the 1st floor without even a view to the swimming pool. The first night it was too noisy until 4 am, coming from the nearby rooms, it was on the 9th of April 2022. This is not my first time at this hotel, it was great before , don’t know why their services are getting poorer.

Good location (beside it several restaurants and a grocery shop). Free on-site parking. Good breakfast buffet. Beautiful and clean scenic pool.

On the other hand, many parts in the room is require attention. For example: furniture is old, at least it looks from early 90s, shower head wasnt working properly and needs o be changed. Mattress springs are obviously worn. And the bed was squeaky.

Good things in the room: tv and its remote are new. Balcony door also works as a window and was fully functional. Pillows ok, blanket ok, fridge ok.

I stayed in Kapetanios Odysseia hotel for 2 nights and had a great stay! The room was clean and well equipped, the check-in was smooth and the staff was very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is located right on the shore. It takes 25 minutes of a nice walk by the sea to reach the Limassol Marina and the old town. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice of good food! I will definitely be back!

Excellent customer service, well-appointed, this hotel has all the conveniences for a comfortable stay. Main floor has computer desk, lounge seating, 3 restaurants, the breakfast room and a bar, all with easy access to the pool patio. My room was clean and comfortably appointed, roomy with a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on one side and high-rise condominiums and office buildings on the other side.
The hotel is wonderfully convenient to beaches, shopping, restaurants, old town and harbor. I was completely happy with my stay!

We stayed here for one night before an early start the next day. It was fine for this purpose - a bit tired, and in need of updating, but I had a good sleep and the free breakfast and parking were both good.
Wifi was a bit patchy, and the shower was over the very narrow bath. Bit odd. Would also have appreciated more plugs, and closer to the bed.

Nice location.
Cons: The WiFi was awful--it kept dropping off every 30 to 60 minutes, then would take MANY tries to get it connected (I kept getting the message that the IP number could not be found).
While swimming pool itself was nice, furniture surrounding pool was outdated and substandard, Etc. For example, umbrellas were dirty, fraying; lounge chairs were dirty.
Also, hotel info was lacking. I could not find out how to call receptipn (dialing 0 did not work), I couldn't find info as to how to set up a wake-up call, no info as to how to get towels for the pool, etc. There was no hotel booklet listing all this info in the room.

Bad cleanliness and uncomfortable by all means !

To start the Hotel was very different from the pictures shown and it is old overall, the rooms are not very clean so we had to ask for a cleaning again, knowing that we stayed in the room just to sleep and shower, the shower handle was not working properly neither was the safe. The next morning knowing that we has only water in the room, it was invaded by small Ants ( Termites ) which had bitten our body because they were even in the Bed !! When the general manager visited our room to inspect the Ants no proper apology was presented and he only said “they are small Ants will spray them” being careless about our discomfort. The stay was horrible.
On the good side the location of the hotel is very good.

The pool is very small, always busy.

Do not ask anything at lobby - receptionsts are not local and will provide you wrong info about the city and attractions.

The pictures and descriptions of this hotel are inaccurate. The hotel is dated and needs a very deep scrubbing as well as routine maintenance. The housekeeping staff was hard working and did their best with what they had to work with. The women working the front desk were rude and defensive about every question or request. When it came time to pay the bill, I asked if she could charge it to the card they had on file. I didn't realize that they had not taken a card. This is common practice in hotels all over the world. The woman spoke to me as if I were a complete idiot refusing to pay or something. My husband heard and was upset by her attitude but we never reacted. We just paid how she wanted and figured something was just lost in translation. Other reviews tore the breakfast apart but I have to say that it was actually not bad. It got old by day 4 but was a good option since it was included with the stay. My only complaint about the breakfast was the lack of cold beverage choices and low quality juices.
The pool area was lovely but closed at 6:00pm. I found this out when my 5 year old and I tried to go for a swim at 7 pm when the sun was still out. We were rudely told that the pool was closed and my son just burst into tears. We just wanted a quick dip to help with jetlag. If you're sightseeing all day, you don't get a chance to use the pool until after 6 pm anyway. I will not ever be back or recommend these properties to anyone I know.

Generally everything was good - the staff, bed & breakfast etc. We like it!
Only issue was that in the night (from Sunday to Monday) some guests were not very quiet. It was hard to fall in sleep. But it was just one night - happens :)

Had a good time at Kapetanios Odysseia hotel. Was in a good location half way between the tourist area and the old port, and easy to get the bus to the mall. Breakfast was fine, although every day was the same! Excellent service at the bar in the evenings. Didn't like that I had to wait for the girl to open up the health suite before being able to get into the gym, and that it was closed on sundays. Think there could be a better system there. Thought it was ok value for money. Swimming pool was fab

My only negative comments are that the staff here could show a little more warmth & smile a little. A general comment is that they at times showed little friendliness or bored.

The breakfast selection was a little disappointing. We stayed at a few hotels in Cyprus over a 17 days period, and this breakfast was the one that disappointed.

The hotel also could use a little upgrade
