Cute and accomodating!

We loved out stay in Villa Lanterna. Its about 15 mins from the downtown/old town area of Dubrovnik which was perfect for us. They had a lovely pool to cool down in and was a two min walk away from a local beach. The front desk staff were so lovely. Igor carried both of our bags up for us which was impressive and so helpful after a day of traveling and was joking with us upon arrival. It is little things like that, that really show the character of the place you're staying at. The bed was big and comfy and the shower had great pressure and great hot water! Loved this little place!

Thank you to Maya and the staff for the wonderful stay. Lovely room overlooking the bay; half board provided excellent meals in the attached restaurant; next to a small beach that was excellent swimming, we went in every day. We were picked up and dropped off at the bus depot/ferry which was so easy for us; the shuttle into Dubrovnik was a bonus -- and the driver very friendly! We would highly recommend this property, and would love to come back!

Well located budget hotel

If you are looking for a base for exploring southern Croatia this hotel is ideal. There are transport provisions but as far as we were concerned a hire car was essential - our main aim was to see as much as we could of the Dalmation coast. There are numerous attractions along the coast and Split can be visited in a day if one has a car. The restaurant (different company) attached to the hotel is excellent and friendly but for the early riser breakfast has to be taken elsewhere. We visited towards the end of the season and while we were lucky to have some hot days we also experienced rain - few holiday destinations are at there best in the rain but our car afforded us the ability to overcome this downside. All together a great holiday.
Beware the government tax at billing time.

Pleasant and quiet hotel outside Dubrovnik

Had a relaxing stay at this hotel. The hotel staff were lovely and the hotel is a short walk from a small but very clean pebbly beach.
This hotel is outside of the main sightseeing areas of Dubrovnik and the hotel do offer a shuttle bus at a small charge that runs 3 times a day. Apart from a handful of restaurants there was little to do in the area and no shop within walking distance but the hotel run a daily shuttle bus to a local shop too for free. All of this made it a really relaxing stay.

Fantastic, magical place.

This was my first visit to Croatia, and it definately won't be my last! I went with my friend, who had visited before but to the town of Split. It was her first time to Dubrovnik and she had told me how wonderful Croatia is.

On arriving at Villa Lanterna, we were greeted immediately and our case taken up to our room. We had booked a room with a sea view, and the view across the water was stunning. We had a balcony with a table and two chairs and an airer, for our towels. The room was very clean, in fact everywhere we went was clean and we enjoyed two trips out. The staff could not do enough for us and they were always friendly with a smile and chat.

We visited the Old City, in Dubrovnik which is so beautiful and walked around the Old City Walls. It makes a very interesting day out and again , I would highly recommend!

Overall, it was a fantastic break and I cannot speak highly enough of Villa Lanterna and their staff. Try it, you will love it.

Nice stay in Zaton Bay area villa

Comfortable villa is quite well-situated...Zaton Bay, Stikovica..great view of the very popular (pebbly) beach for owners, visitors to that area. Shuttle driver Marko made a nice impression...very polite, professional, prompt young man from Zagreb. Loved listening to the playlist, especially including Gibonni songs, in the common area for relaxation next to the restaurant (conveniently at the villa, but owned separately). Enjoyed the company of several guests from Newcastle, England and guests from Sweden who were at the villa for the first time. If the villa's shuttle schedule does not work, then you can take Bus 12 to main port, harbor and then hop on the 1 or 1A bus to the Old City. I had to wait for my coffee...until 8 AM, but that, and lack of cable TV signal in my room, was the only inconvenience I had to 'endure' in a paradise. Recommend it and would return. I can also recommend guest taking the ferry from Old City to Lokrum Island (pack towel, wear bathing suit as you'll want to spend time in the water and on the rocks). And I visited Mostar...wow, worth it.

Spot on - quiet, picturesque and close to Dubrovnik

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. Spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The view from our balcony was fantastic. Staff were friendly and efficient, especially Nicolai who provided so much helpful information. The shuttle bus into Dubrovnik meant we could visit outside the busy times, and we enjoyed a couple of evenings in the city, travelling back to the hotel on the midnight shuttle bus. Perfect. We also appreciated being picked up from the airport for a modest charge. The apartment sleeps four, however, the fold out chair-beds are quite short and only really suitable for chiildren. The little restaurant attached to the Villa offers tasty food at reasonable prices. Meerko and Mya are a lovely couple - my only negative observation is that service can be very slow indeed and it was disappointing to find the bar closed in the middle of the day on a couple of occasions. Villa Lanterna offers a superb base from which to visit Dubrovnik and the surrounding area, at a competitive price. If you want a quiet holiday, this is the place to come. I would certainly visit again.

Extremely friendly and helpful personal. The room was clean, and well maintained.Location is perfect with a nice view over the bay! Easy access to the beech. Shady parking for the car, and convenient bus service to and from Dubrovnik.Everything was fine, except one thing: no markings on the road for the entrance, and exit- if you do not have GPS is very difficult to find.

Do not even think

After a 9 hour travel we were given a room with three beds and one of my children was not covered. Manager was sleeping and did not look after the customers. The check out day they demanded us to evacuate at 10 am and cut the hot water to force. If you are thinking about this hotel forget about it.

Nice hotel, away from the crowd

This was a great little find just outside of Split.

It's about 15 minutes north of the city, in a little quiet neighborhood right on the beach. There is also a great restaurant district within walking distance of the hotel. And the views of the Aegean are superb.

Cute community north of Dubrovnik

this is a great place to stay if you want to be close to Dubrovnik, but do not want to stay in the city. There is a pool at the hotel and a restaurant. There is a local beach and Zaton is minutes away. It was spacious with a full kitchen.

Super place!!!!

Lovely accommodation, staff were fantastic!! Basic but all you need. The food in the restaurant was amazing. Merco and Mia were so accommodating and the location and view were relaxing to say the least. Easy access to Dubrovnik (out of this world) !!! All in all a really lovely and relaxing holiday!

Darko and Maya were excellent hosts, willing to make sure everything is to your satisfaction. The food was excellent and the shuttle service to old town is regular and cheap compared to a regular taxi. Would definetly stay there again.

Great place to stay - close to Dubrovnik. They offer a shuttle to and from Old Town for a small fee (cheaper than paying for all day parking - unless you are part of a large group). Nice frinedly staff - good breakfast.

Quiet retreat outside of Dubrovnik

We stayed here the first two nights after arriving in Croatia to rest and get over our jet lag. It's a lovely small hotel on a beautiful cove on the coast north of Dubrovnik. There is a small pebble beach and two nice restaurants just down the hill, but nothing else within walking distance. The hotel provides a great breakfast, a free ride to the local market each morning and charges a reasonable rate for trips to and from Dubrovnik. If you want to be convenient to the city, this is not the place for you. However, if you want to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet, this is a great place to do it. Ask for a room on the upper floor where the view of the bay is best.

The location of this hotel is beautiful, situated on a small local beach just outside of Dubrovnik. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Very reasonable for the price that we paid. The front reception staff are lovely and very willing to give you local tips on where to visit, places to eat and things to do. I would highly recommend this hotel to people who are happy to be away from the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik town and want to relax by the sea. I also recommend that you have a car for transport to and from the old town (10 min away) and to explore the surrounding area and beaches.

The best hotel for your stay in dubrovnik

I really can't stress enough what a fantastic hotel this is. The staff really make your holiday so much better, they go out of their way to help you and answer any questions you have, they recommend trips and the best ways to get around dubrovnik. The shuttle service is convenient and cheap. The pool in the hotel is a real bonus and the rooms are lovely and well kitted out. It is a minutes walk to a lovely beach with a great beach bar. I would recommend to anybody and everybody that if you are visiting dubrovnik this really is the place to stay, although you are 10 minutes drive out of the old town it is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle and if you want to party and stay out later taxis back are very reasonably priced or you can get an early bus back in the morning and make a night of it. I can't wait to go back again. Thanks so much to all the staff for making our time their soooo special!!

10 minutes out of the tourist mecca(old town) is this local apartment, they have a bus to take you in and out of town for @ 5 return AUD and will take you to the local supermarket for free, internet is fast, you can walk to a quaint crystal clear swimming beach, where you have a choice of 2 very reasonable priced water front eateries, great choice to get a feel f for a local village yet you can still easily do all of the touristy things, staff are really friendly and helpful and they will take you to the airport at a very competitive rate per car, highly recommend the Villa Lanterna, they also have a lovely swimmimg pool

The people here were friendly and helpful. The sea view rooms have a great view. It isn't in town but they have a shuttle you can take which makes it pretty convenient. Only downside was some traffic noise but with the air conditioner running it was ok. I enjoyed my stay.

Very serene location

We stayed in a sea view room, we slept with the patio doors open and heard the waves all night, I slept like a rock. The young lady that works the front desk was extremely helpful. The only downside was breakfast doesn't start til 8am I am starving by 7am, but maybe that is just because it was Sunday?

Sauberes Zimmer, Frühstück eher bescheiden (nur Instantkaffee). Der Shuttle ging nur bis zu einer Busstation. Von dort musste man noch 2 Stationen mit dem öffentlichen Bus fahren. Da kann man mit dem eigenen Auto auch „Automatic Parking“, 4 E/h nahe der Altstadt nutzen.

Buon soggiorno ma migliorabile

Il soggiorno è stato tutto sommato gradevole, di particolare pregio la disponibilità del personale, sempre gentile e preparato. Altri aspetti meno positivi, quali la colazione non a buffet, la pulizia da migliorare e il posto è difficoltoso da raggiungere a causa delle auto parcheggiate dalle persone che vanno al mare nella spiaggia libera poco distante. Spiaggia molto poco consigliabile.
Resta comunque una buona sistemazione sicuramente migliorabile, ma con personale ottimo. Infine, prezzi del ristorante annesso assolutamente fuori mercato e costi non giustificati, soprattutto per il vino.

Idéal pour se détendre

l'hotel est situé dans une petit crique au pied de la plage
il est très calme et on peut profiter de la piscine qui n'est pas très grande mais suffisante pour se rafraichir
il est situé à une quinzaine de minutes du centre de Dubrovnik en voiture et des navettes payantes peuvent vous emmener dans le centre car le stationnement et difficile dans Dubrovnik
le restaurant qui fonctionne avec l'hotel est très bien et permet de manger des plats typiques

Hovedpuderne et minus, men ellers alt fint. Ligger udenfor Dubrovnik, så en bil er et must.

Un'ottima posizione, ma tante pecche nella gestion

Bellissima posizione.
Assolutamente negativo il servizio navetta per Dubrovnik poiché, oltre ad essere piuttosto costoso, non ti porta alla porta della città bensì a circa 1,5 chilometri che, percorsi con un bambino e con 40 gradi, non sono certamente pochi. Non capisco perché il bus navetta non ti accompagno in un posto più comodo... forse perché ti lasciano presso un ristorante che appartiene alla stessa famiglia?
Insolito inoltre il comportamento della reception che il pomeriggio prima del giorno della partenza ha bissato alla porta della camera, e noi stavamo riposando, chiedendoci di pagare il nostro soggiorno. Mai capitata una cosa simile... temevano che saremmo \" fuggiti\" senza pagare?

Chambre réservée pour 3 adultes, mais le 3eme lit était un lit d'appoint au ras du sol et dur comme du bois.
Buffet prévu pour le breakfast. Mais pas de buffet mais breakfast sucré salé servi à table.

Fint och personligt hotell nära stranden

Detta är det bästa trestjärniga hotellet jag har varit på. Vi hade ett jättefräscht rum med balkong och utsikt över havet. Perfekt ac och snabb städning. Deras restaurang var bland de bättre i Dubrovnik. Personalen hade en varm och personlig touch. Billigt med frukost om man vill ha det också. Finns en helt ok strand 100 m bort. Då hotellet är ca 6 km från old town erbjuder hotellet billig taxi fram och tillbaks (ca 60 kr enkelresa istället för 159-200 kr om man tar en vanlig taxi). Enda nackdelen var att närmsta affär ligger 2 km bort. Detta var dock inget problem då vi brukade handla inne i stan på kvällarna och sedan ta en taxi hem. De erbjöd sig också att köra oss till affären på morgnarna. Sammanfattningsvis; ett riktigt bra hotell!

Hôtel agréable proche de la plage

Hôtel très agréable situé dans un endroit paisible avec accès à une plage de galets en une minute. Le personnel est très aimable et prêt à rendre service ! Un grand Merci ! Petit-déjeuner servi à table. Le point le moins agréable si vous ne louez pas de voiture : la navette de l'hôtel peut vous mener en ville mais encore assez loin de la vieille-ville. Sinon arrêt de bus à quelques minutes (prendre 2 bus pour la vieille-ville).
