We were upgraded to a deluxe room on arrival which was lovely. The room was just wonderful, the bathroom facilities excellent, We were on the 6 floor but had to go up to 7 and go to a different lift and go down another floor to 6 to get to breakfast - it was a little odd,
The reception staff were excellent, breakfast staff were not as attentive as they could have been, difficult to get service, We booked to do the Wine train at konevale, the tour itself was good although a little rushed, The Train was not as advertised and felt like a kiddies toy and the transfer times were a lot longer than advertised, this did put a bit of a dampner on the evening, a long day and late back was not ideal. on reflection I would not have travelled that far for a half day trip. Our evening meal in the beach restaurant was very good. Our waiter who was very informative, made an excellent job of filleting the fish at the table and serving, he is a credit to your staff there.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Particularly at check in and at breakfast the service was excellent.

We had a V level room which was very nice, with nice fittings in the room. We used the pool, spa, and terrace.

There is a boardwalk very close to the hotel which we enjoyed. We used the bus service extensively to get to the old town.

There were a couple of very minor points which we didn’t like the glasses in our room were not changed daily towards the end of the stay where they had been at the start. There was a coffee machine and kettle next to each other but only one plug. This was under a wooden fitting so very difficult to access.

These were minor points, where improvements could be made.

Overall the hotel and staff were fantastic. The views from the lobby and pool were beautiful.

Upon check in you are greeting by lots of amazing staff members. Super friendly and cheerful. There are super nice terraces and a great bar. The beach are and the pool is very nice. The breakfast in the mornings was absolutely amazing! You had all kinds of choices and even smoothies!!! Which hotel does that?

A few of the downsides is Upon entering the hallways to get to the room there is a musty smell which is definitely the carpets in the hall ways. They are definitely worn out. The hallways have common spaces and the furniture is quite embarrassing.. two chairs just facing each other not even with a table in between. The rooms are also lacking in character and quality. Best way to be able to describe the furniture is a college dorm room. As most people really won’t spend a lot of time in their rooms you can easily overlook it. However this is something ownership should definitely address the quality of the rooms.

The beds are very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure. And was well equipped.

Overall it’s a very nice hotel if you want to relax. I do suggest not booking on the 5th floor as the restaurant is right above you and opens by 6 am the restaurant opens and you can hear all the furniture moving around. I was moved to a different floor and there was absolutely no issue after.

Staff was amazing and made the stay worth it.

I have traveled the world. 21 countries in just 2025. I only stay at luxury hotels. This one is close to the bottom of the list. I paid $900 per night or somewhere around that. After I had already paid, one week before my arrival i was informed that there was a UN meeting in town and we could not be dropped off at the hotel but we could be dropped off 1/2 mile away. I asked if someone could help with our luggage and after much back and forth someone told me they would help me.I had a bad hand and back. Upon arrival no one was there. 1/2 mile away! We called and the front desk very rudely said just walk down the promenade. How in the world do I know where the promenade is. My girlfriend and i had to carry our luggage the whole way without help. Upon arrival there are steps. You think there would be someone there but nope.No one! Every time we went somewhere we had to walk that same 1/2 mile to get a ride somewhere. The room was very hot but the thermostat said 21 Celsius. No way. I build fine custom homes for a living. I rarely complain about anything. I told the front desk that someone said they would help with our luggage and after our arrival we could get transportation from the hotel. She had the audacity to tell me that was not true. So, I showed her the emails they sent me. With an embarrassed look on her face she told me they should not not have told me that. I have absolutely nothing good to say about my experience there except that it is a good location.

Overall the President hotel is very good, excellent location with pool and beach, and brilliant local bus service into old town. The initial room we were allocated had limited distant sea view which was disappointing, however on request we were shown to another room with a beautiful terrace and view. All staff were very friendly and keen to help. We had lunch several times at the La Mar, with an evening meal, exceptional service from Vlado. Breakfast was excellent every day, apart from our last day where we encountered a negative attitude from one of male serving staff. Every other day we had been served tea by the staff but he told us this was self service and get our own,we heard him being quite unhelpful to other guests too. The hotel lacks atmosphere in the evening, but did have a live band on friday night which we enjoyed. Would probably stay here again because of the location.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the President Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was on another level — warm, attentive, and always going the extra mile to make us feel at home. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with patios offering beautiful water views that made every morning and evening feel special.

The little touches truly set this hotel apart: we were welcomed with a thoughtful gift that included a beach bag, towels, and flip flops — such a nice surprise! Breakfast was outstanding with plenty of delicious options, and happy hour quickly became one of our favorite parts of the day. The included airport transfer made our trip stress-free, and the location is just a quick Uber ride from Dubrovnik’s Old Town.

What stood out most was the attention to detail and the genuinely friendly service. The waiters in particular were super attentive and always had a smile, making every meal feel like a treat.

This is the kind of hotel that makes you feel at home while also giving you that luxury vacation experience. Definitely a place we’d be happy to return to every year!

The property has a superior location on the adriatic taking full advantage of the views throughout the hotel. The balconies are uniquily deep and separated by a natural wall of greenery. We loved seeing the sunsets and watching the ships come into port. The large communal deck was great for drinks, quick bites and entertainment. Pool area was beautiful though too cold. Had what looked like as a great spa wirh lovely indoor pool thpugh we didnt use it. Service was excellent and included breakfast which rivalled the best hotels we have enjoyed in major Eurpoean cities. Best if all was close location to the old city in Dubrovnik. We would definately like to return.

This property boasts one of the best views, absolutely breathtaking. However, the elevator was out of service for a couple of days, which is unusual for a pricey hotel to not be able to respond promptly. The water in both pools is not heated, which is not ideal for children. There’s no kids’ area, and the buffet is small and the food is not very good. You’re paying for the views, not for anything else. The room is spacious, and the cleaning service is superb. However not a 5 star in my opinion.

This is an excellent hotel choice for anyone coming to Dubrovnik that wants a luxurious relaxing experience on the beach with the option to have quick transportation to the old town walls and other areas of Dubrovnik. The views along the coastline are stunning, the beach has many umbrellas and chairs with full service, and the rooms are spacious with a large balcony overlooking the coastline. The breakfast buffet had many options including a fresh omelet station. I haven’t seen many breakfast setups as large as this one with as many options and the food was delicious. All of the service members were polite and helpful. I would definitely come back to stay here again!

The entrance to the hotel is outstanding with an incredible view of the sea the minute you walk in. We were greeted extremely well upon our arrival - extreme apologies I’m not sure of the lady’s name. She showed us to our V level room, which was readily prepared with complimentary gifts to celebrate our wedding anniversary and big birthday. She showed us how we select a scent of our choice from our room and we were greeted with a wonderful sea view. This wasn’t an interrupted sea view as there were lots of trees and a view of a car park but the sea view was wonderful all the same.
We had breakfast every day where there was a good range of options.
The lift from our area of the hotel was slightly temperamental but we only had to travel a couple of floors so wasn’t a problem for us.
Whilst there, we had spa treatments which were excellent and used the hotel pool. As part of the V Level package we had use of a cabana, just be mindful this is first come first serve - there are more available around the beach area. Dubrovnik has one sandy beach which requires a ferry trip all other beaches are pebbly.
We had a meal in the Momenti restaurant with a 5 course tasting menu and bottle of wine. Our service was excellent from Martin and we had an outstanding sunset view completely to ourselves! Overall an incredible city and hotel stay. Thank you all!❤️ Highly recommend!

The property on first impression is wow. However when you drop to other floors same can’t be said. Dark dreary poorly light corridors and a bad state of repair. The beach is extremely poor heavily soiled mattress, heavy duty machinery operating when trying have early morning sunbathe. We even had someone unfortunately come in and bin raid for plastic bottles. The beach is open to everyone not private. We spent our time at the pool which was much better standard but does need some attention. The room itself is clean but had some issues dents in walls, ripped wall paper. One positive was the staff in the restaurant they were friendly and attentive and the food variety was to good standard. I wouldn’t rate this as five star. The hotel needs a consistent standard throughout the property to achieve 5 stars.

I would love to have been able to give the hotel 5* as there were so many great things about it. The location must be the best in Dubrovnik - wonderful sunset views across the sea; the premium rooms are fantastic - large rooms with big comfortable beds; lovely bathroom and shower / bath.
But the issue we had is that when we booked through Expedia, we specifically chose a hotel with a double and a twin room. We contacted the hotel immediately after booking to reserve a twin room, only to be told that it would be allocated on arrival at the hotel and there was no guarantee. On arrival the reception staff stated that there were no twin rooms available (“the hotel is very popular”). Our two adult children would need to share a bed which was not acceptable to us, and had we known this we would’ve chosen an alternative hotel. After stating that we were not happy the receptionist managed to find a twin room which was four floors below where we were, which in itself wasn’t an issue. However, the room was a lot smaller than the room we had booked, was right next to the gym and underneath the restaurant so it was very noisy with chairs scraping and people bouncing on running machines. When we raised this with the hotel staff they told us that it was an equivalent standard to the room that we had booked, although there was no comparison to the double room. The staff member seemed unwilling to help and this really spoiled our holiday.

Self service buffet breakfast is fine with lots of choice but for some reason coffee had to be requested and, while you self served tea, there was no milk provided without asking, then waiting to see if they remembered to bring it or not (it cannot be a surprise that Brits like milk in their tea surely!)
No tap water option at dinner- it’s €7 for a bottle of water…

Also the resort never scheduled our airport transport which made the start to our honeymoon a bit rocky, but they made up for it with a room upgrade and dinner voucher. Overall we had a great time and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia. If you’re looking for a more quiet and peaceful experience. If you’re looking for a party environment I would stay closer to old town.

Our experience at the Hotel President Valamar in Dubrovnik was truly exceptional, thanks to both the incredible service and thoughtful amenities that catered to the whole family.

One of the most remarkable moments of our stay was when I lost my phone in the sea. After being submerged for three full days, I had little hope—but the hotel’s diving team managed to retrieve it from deep water. Their dedication, professionalism, and care went far beyond what anyone could expect, and I’m still amazed by their efforts.

Equally impressive was Maro World, which made our daughter’s stay absolutely magical. The facilities were engaging, safe, and full of creative activities that kept her happy and entertained every day. It gave us peace of mind knowing she was enjoying herself so much in such a fun, well-supervised environment.

From the warm welcome at check-in to the small thoughtful touches throughout, the staff consistently went above and beyond. The views are breathtaking, the service is first-class, and the atmosphere is perfect for both relaxation and family fun.

We left with beautiful memories and can’t wait to return.

The property had fantastic views. It was very clean. We were however given a room with a birds nest in the balcony and the birds were flying in and out. The room was also very noisy and we couldn’t sleep that night. When we spoke to the receptionist the next day we were told to call them in the night and that they would investigate where the noise came from. I am not sure how they would go and knock on doors at 2:30 am to check where the noise was coming from! Eventually we were moved to a different room and there was no noise there and we were able to sleep. If we were to pay for a 5 star hotel the minimum we would expect is a good nights rest. Breakfast though many options, does not have many if you are vegetarian or vegan. The room itself was clean, the shower and bath were great.

Walk along the promenade to Lapad. Walk along the promenade around Coral Bay venue. Take Bus 6 to and from the Old Town. Buy bus tickets from the shop in the hotel. Concierge services in hotel are good to book trips. Nice souvenir shops restaurants especially Asia (great Chinese food) in the small shopping precinct.

This is a 5 star hotel with all the amenities. It has outdoor and indoor pool. Amazing breakfast buffet and views to go with it. There is a us that takes you to old downtown right in front of the hotel. This is the place to stay in Dubrovnik

This is a magnificent property with a beautiful beach, excellent food and a promenade to walk on that has spectacular views. This would be an amazing honeymoon destination. So clean and the people are all helpful and nice.

The staff at the Valamar are absolutely fantastic. Having been to a few luxury hotels this stands out as they are open, welcoming, warm with no expectations of an immediate tip or the indifference on not getting one.

The location is amazing close to the pubiic transport with dubrovnik pass, food options and amazing beaches and promenade walk. But still tucked away in a cozy corner of the island.

For me personally the massage at the hotel, the spa services and pool plsu the protected beach snorkelling area was the most amazing experiences. The room was comfortable with on point room service and plenty of amenities. The only downside the breakfast quality needs improvement. Still couldn’t stop me from recommending to everyone I know. Great value!!

We spent 3 nights at this hotel and it is a great place. All rooms are ocean facing. The Staff was incredibly great - I would give them 100 stars !! They have live music on 6th floor from 8-10 PM and we enjoyed music while having dinner. Breakfast was included and it was fabulous - sitting by the ocean and eating fresh cooked food and fresh squeezed juices was like living in heaven. There is a bus outside the hotel that takes you to old town - very convenient

outstanding property, but even more remarkable, its friendly courteous and professional staff in all areas, from front desk to dining, to spa, and maid service: uniformly delightful and helpful. Property has wonderful access to private beach and dock, incredible views, and nightsky.
2 pools, one indoor heated, and outdoor fresca, and swimming area in ocean. Truly wonderful. Spa amazing with wet / dry sauna, immaculate, and clean spacious airy gym with cardio as well as bench /free weights. Breakfast was superior with abundant meat/fruit/ vegetable choices, plus amazng fruit juices and champagne...truly Presidential. Evenings on terrace bar with live music. Several outstanding Dinner / Lunch options, incluing Vilarmar at beachside, and private, elegant restaurant on 6th floor. Memorable stay, and I will return if back to Dubrovnik. Easy Uber ride into town but quiet, safe, luxurious seaside location. Worth every cent of premium cost!

We were very impressed with the prime location, exemplary service and excellent amenities. The room was spacious and spotless. The breakfast and dinner buffet were of high standard. I highly recommend Dubrovnik President Valamar hotel for its serene atmosphere, friendly staff and outstanding service.

More like a three star hotel. Very run down in the hallways and room. Person smoking on balcony next to ours and smoke enters. Very basic accommodation for the price. Pain falling off wall. Moldy. Would not return

We left a sweater in the closet and by the time we asked front desk to find it the cleaning crew (unsure who else would be in the room besides them in the hours after check out) took it already. We feel this isn’t really expected at a facility of this caliber and just wanted to leave a note for others to double check since if you leave anything it will be GONE even if the front desk are helpful.

Otherwise good stay and facilities were nice and well kept. Front desk were very helpful.
