I will highly recommend if you are looking for a place to unwind. Rest in the cottage overlooking the ocean, clean waters, tall beautiful trees and sounds of the fish splashing.

The staff are very courteous. Rest assured your things are safe. Pineapples, watermelons and papayas are tge sweetest. Do not forget to try their beet salad and mini burger prepared by Sir Aldrin’s night shift chef.

Definitely will come back.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The Sammal rooms are incredible, you could actually jump off from your deck to a clear water. The beach water is so warm lots of fish for snorkeling, no need to go far. The food is delicious from breakfast to dinner. The staff is so friendly and attentive. I really enjoyed the bliss atmosphere. The walks to different villas ( Balay, Samal and Mandaya). The idea of golf cart shuttle was great although I enjoyed walking. The massage/spa is ok. Food and staff perfect customer service. I wish the room price was not too expensive but thanks for the experience.

We had a flat and the staff took off our tire and drove it to a tire shop and had it fixed. Superior services. I can continue with this but it would only be a 5 star rating.

Great views, very scenic from oceanfronts to the sunrise and sunsets. I love that the pool water temps are perfect for swimming and not ice cold. Clear beach water, see through to the bottom. Friendly staff.

Wish more water activities were available and at earlier times. Certain times during the day are jist too hot to commence. Id rather a 6AM or 7AM slot be available to beat the sun.

Rooms should be available earlier than 2PM upon request. Literally had to lug around my book bag and couldn’t change into my swimwear because it was with my luggage bag. That I feel should be fixed.

best place for honeymooners

We booked Pearl farm as a honeymoon resort - and it was amazing. everything from the boat ride (with a welcome tune by the staff), to the room (overlooking the sea), to the food (with a special live guest entertainer every night), to just walking around the resort and finding new and exciting animals and scenery.
imagine the most perfect beach you've ever been, now imagine it's only yours... snorkeling is super cheap, friendly fish (and the staff will bring you bread crumbs for feed), and it's so quiet.

we stayed for a week, and while initially we thought it might be boring, we absolutely had an amazing time. the staff was so friendly and welcoming, every little need was attended to without problem, food was really excellent (changing day by day and with a huge variety).

if you're a couple on a honeymoon, this is the place for you!
and yeah, it really looks that amazing ;-)

The resort is nice & clean even if its age is showing a bit, the location is nice esp it being on white sand compared to mainland, & staff are generally friendly. Although it being the only 5-star resort our expectations were much higher.
- there has been a number of instances where I was greeted but not my wife; tip: be more conscious of acknowledging all guests as each is still a paying customer
- dining
- food was just ok; nothing special to mention
- salad bar ingredients were incoherent & lacked some key ingredients (tomatoes, eggs)
- bacon was sub-par; tip: stick with typical American streaky bacon
- lacked showcasing Davao, Samal & Kadayawan Festival
- no abundance of local fruits displayed; surprisingly no mangosteen served
- no festival info or festive feel, apart from the one sign at reception
- no info or tourism collaboration with other Samal attractions
- tip: have some Davao/Mindanao cultural activities/features once in a while
- lacked showcasing Pearl Farm past/history
- resort map & attractions not handed on arrival, not available in rooms, none posted on premises
- tip: sell more cheap pearl & indigenous items

Food was good, however some buffet food should have been iced (salad bar, cold meats, etc) Since it was an open room, birds would sometimes land on the uncovered food making it very unsanitary. Some activities (games, music, etc) would have been welcomed.

Our stay at Pearl Farm was amazing! I couldn’t have asked for anything more spectacular. The only thing I’d recommend they fix is the plumbing. I stayed in the main lodge and the drains in the sink and shower were really slow to drain and got clogged quickly.

The resort is outstanding in many ways. The staff are very well-trained and friendly. The room is very clean. I recommend to stay in the Samal House which is on the water. To reach the resort, you have to catch one of the two daily boats, otherwise, you will have to pay for the boat rental.

Everything, about our stay, was Amazing in general. Beautiful Resort, Wonderful villas, very very good accommodation from the welcoming upto saying farewell of the resort personnel! Very good food, Excellent Ambiance and lovely clean blue waters! Amazing beaches! Only the frequent boat transfers from the small island going to the main resort was a bit of a hassle. (Only a bit! But we still love it though.). The super cold air-condition of all the rooms were placed facing directly to the beds which made our faces so uncomfortably cold and We need to constantly adjust the temperature to make us comfortable during the night! But in general, our stay was really Amazing!

The resort itself is beautiful and secluded. The views and nature are amazing including the snorkeling just meters off the beach where you'll find tons of starfish and tropical fish. Overall it is like a 9.5/10 with a few inconveniences. You cannot bring any food or drink there and, most inconveniently, there are only two boat shuttles there per day with the last leaving at 2PM. If you want to go see or do anything around Davao, you should do it before going there because they make it terribly inconvenient to try to do a day trip there and the cost to get back if not on their shuttle is outrageous. The rooms, although in a picture perfect setting, could also use some comfort upgrades. Our bed was super hard and the AC did not work well. The wifi also continually drops you and makes you resign back in and has poor coverage to begin with. With a few minor adjustments, this resort could be a 10/10.

Fantastic is the best word to describe our experience. Pearl Farm is lovely, secluded haven close to Davao City. The staff was friendly and helpful and food was fresh and delicious catering to local and international guests. The water sports available included scuba/snorkel, jet skies, and other floating and touring options. The dive staff was safe and knowledgeable. They quickly had my girlfriend diving with safety and confidence. The rooms were clean and fresh with prompt daily service. I really can’t say enough about our entire stay. Incidentally I found the cost to be a bargain based on USA standards. We will return in the future. Thank you Pearl Farm.

Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience!

Pearl Farm is a must for anyone's bucket list! It was like being a celebrity for a couple days. We were whisked away on a private boat to the resort and greeted with drinks and native music. Everyone, and I truly mean everyone, at Pearl Farm were very accommodating and courteous. The food was world class! We have a toddler who ate mainly soups and of course, mom and dad ate his leftovers. Even simple soups were made with care! The breakfast buffet was one of the best I ever had at any resort! My wife and I could not believe the beauty of this resort. I do recommend taking their free boat ride to their private island, which is only a 3-5 minute boat ride. The beaches on this island were out of this world awesome! The pools were huge and extremely clean! Snorkeling in their private reef was also great, with lots of tropical fish greeting us.

Coming back, the boat was over-capacity due to a Chinese tourist group changing their times (on their own) and not informing the resort. To ensure safety of the boat, they were asked to take the next boat and then they caused an embarrassing scene for the resort workers. My wife, toddler and I gave up our seats and were given a private speedboat transfer! We arrived at the wharf 20 minutes before the other boat. We were also given a free transfer to our hotel in Davao.

Nice place for nature lover. Rooms are close to the beach, staff very friendly and the food is excellent, though a bit pricy. We loved the othet island, so quiet and serene. The bed however in the balay area is too hard. Overall, we enjoyed the place very much and will definitely come back! We recommended the Malipano villa to our friend for a wedding venue. Enjoyed our stay!
