I love the location and that there’s parking. The staff are also kind. However, internally the hotel falls short. There is no noise insulation between hotel rooms. I had to hear too many awkward, inappropriate, and personal things I did not wish to hear from neighboring hotel rooms. Additionally, the bed sheets and pillow cases aren’t always clean. Last time I stayed, two of my pillows smelled of body odor. Further, much of the furniture is old, scratched, and stained. The ceilings, walls, internal doors, and light fixtures, also have cracks and look horrendous and unprofessional. The elevator might as well take a century to arrive in a building that only has 9 floors. Conclusively, while I do love historic buildings, this building is more of an American Horror Story hotel on the inside that was sloppily made into hotel rooms, than a carefully and beautifully renovated historic building. For a hotel in downtown Easton with such a rich history, this is all very disappointing.

Elevator wasn’t working and my mother can not climb stairs. No parking left in the assigned lot. Had to pay to park on street. They had a group doing a pool plunge and running through the lobby soaking wet and getting the tile floors slippery. Room was right by the lobby so it was super noisy all night long.

Not sure what happened because our experience this time was pretty much the opposite of our first stay at the Grand Eastonian. The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress squeaked and was clearly ancient. People were smoking in the hallway, but the worst was the lack of proper temperature control in the shower. It was either only hot or only cold water, making it very difficult to actually take a shower without scalding or freezing. If it weren’t for the prime location, we would absolutely never stay here again.

We chose the two bedroom suite which was perfect for the size of our family and larger and more spacious than we expected. The bathrooms and kitchen were nicely updated. The living room furniture and beds were old and could use updating. The linens on the beds were clean, new looking, and comfortable. Mattresses were miss-shapen and should be replaced. The carpeting in the bedrooms was stained and definitely needs to badly be replaced. We enjoyed the indoor pool with our young kids which was a nice bonus. There were pool towels already there which was convenient although they were very small and thin. The pool was very clean and nice. Overall we had a good stay.

Parking and check in were very easy. The hotel is in a great location. The lobby has plenty of room but our room was ready early so we didn't need to hang out there. We booked a double queen and the room was really spacious as was the bathroom. Everything was super clean and the staff was friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed for one night with our children and the staff was warm and welcoming. Hotel room, pool area, and gym were all clean and as expected. The ceiling to our room had the unfinished/old-time vibe which I wasn't a specific fan of, but might be OK for others.

Parking was a gated lot right next to the hotel which was great as the hotel was walkable to our destinations (Crayola and State Theatre). Plenty of restaurants and shops if you walk down the main street. The coffee shop attached to the hotel opens early and has great coffee/food, but unfortunately closes around 2pm.

If we ever come back to Easton we would stay here again.

Make sure you refund my pre-paid room that you cancelled on me ASAP. This hotel took my booking 2 days in advance and decided to call me at check in time THE DAY I was supposed to arrive to let me know they didn’t have a room for me. I had a reservation confirmation and even message from the hotel about the parking and looking forward to my stay. Absolutely terrible.

If you are going to advertise and list your hotel with hotels.com you need to train your staff to work with the organization. I use hotels.com all the time with chain hotels but occasionally when I stay at a smaller hotel like this there is an issue where a reservation doesn’t show up. I was treated rudely by the FOH staff and told that it was my problem that my reservation didn’t go through and that I had to call hotels.com to work it out. If you as an organization are going to contract through hotels/expedia, then you are responsible for having communication with them, not the hotel guest. After 1.25 hrs sitting in your lobby with hungry kids and a wife who was missing her appointment, your FOH staff did indeed discover that the reservation was sitting in an email inbox on a separate computer. The fact that she was rude instead of apologetic is just kind of bush league. Train your staff dude.

My room was very clean, quiet and easy to go in and out . I always liked staying in older hotels , and the Grand Eastonian has that special charm and grandeur ( including service) we love about reliving those wonderful bygone days !

Wow, room was huge! It must have been an apartment/condo prior because our room had a large, full kitchen, dining area, sitting area, walk in closet, separate bedroom space w/ beautiful hardwood floors except bedroom. We used the warm, indoor pool and did have a nice gym but didn’t use. Plus cafe and free parking. Walking distance to waterfront and shopping downtown.
Wish we could have stayed longer than one night.

A hotel center of the Heart in Downtown Easton

Lots of lovely shops within walking distance of the hotel for small businesses of Easton and great parks as well. Rooms were nice and tidy with the beds and pillows being super comfy. Front desk staff were polite at check in and even let me check in about an hour before the advertised check in time without issue. My room did not have a balcony since it was probably the most basic version of the room, but it did have a separate shower and whirlpool jet bath tub which felt great on my body. Hotel also does feature a pool to swim in that’s decent in size and a decent 24/7 gym facility to boot. I would suggest that before checking in when hotels.com sends a message in my case two days before check-in to call the hotel and ask for the PIN number to access the gated parking lot it will save a lot of trouble for check-in. I think the only thing that could’ve made this the best hotel stay ever was if breakfast was included but I knew that when I booked the room because the price I paid for was well justified.

I went to check in and I had my receipt and confirmation number but they could not find me in their system and stated it was cancelled which I had cancelled one of my reservations but that one was not paid for. I even got a message stating I was confirmed and they couldn’t wait to have me at the property.
The front desk person called I believe the manager and they did nothing for me, they didn’t have anymore rooms of what I had PAID for all they had was a suite or a 2 King bed room. They never offered me anything all they said was to get with Expedia and get a refund… I will NEVER stay here!!

The Hotel was very nice... and in a great location. Thyme restaurant & rooftop bar is two doors down... Glazed donuts is across the street !! The Confluence of the Delaware & Lehigh Rivers is an easy walk... The Larry Holmes statue is right by the Confluence also...

Nice Revival of Historic Hotel in Downtown Easton

This was a one-night stay with my wife to attend a family funeral nearby. As such, we really didn't get to check out most of the hotel's amenities, however we were pleased with our king bed \"suite\" (although it was more like a mini-suite or deluxe king room) consisting of a king bed, one side chair, work surface and chair, and rather large and well-appointed bath room. The decor was a little stark, but had plenty of closet space, mini-fridge, microwave and LED TV. The bathroom had a good-size shower stall, jacuzzi tub, and double-sink vanity with large mirror. Most impressive was the maintaining of the art-deco character of this 100 year old building (formerly the Hotel Easton), and highlighting some of the property's history, in the lobby area. Location was great, with the river walk and very good Northampton St. eateries and wine bars just steps away. For the $130 rate we paid, it's a very good choice.

Wonderfully quiet with a great bathroom andspa tub— perfect after a long day driving. The ceiling has exposed areas of cement with patched parts that look like they could come loose. Parts are discolored. Some repairs and painting in that area would make a huge difference in the feel of the room.

The hotel was adorable. It’s an old building with a lot of beautiful architecture. Our room used to be an old ballroom, which was so much fun to be in. Our room is spotless and well kept up. Some of the staff was a lot more friendly than others. But I really enjoyed my stay and would stay there again. It’s also Close to Crayola factory and a lot of adorable restaurants.
