Not a tourist spot BUT clean, lovely hotel

We werent sure of what to expect.
If your expecting a lot to do around krabi - there isnt. Its a bit of a quiet area. 15 mins walk to amywhere. BUT if i go back to krabi i would stay in the 2 resorts.
We got a local bus to those beaches and it was an experience.

Much more local thai.

They did help with the onward journey.

Hotel was clean, loads of plugs, comfortable bed, nice breakfast - not western breakfast but nice all the same

The room is very nice and has up to date bathroom facilities. The beds are quite hard but fine. The hotel is located on a busy street but A/C deadens the sound. A great plus is the free shuttle to town.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly staff. Lovely pool. Not far our from krabi town to walk so would suggest renting motorbike. There is a free shuttle that leaves on the hour. Rooms are very nice.

If you enjoy living in an ant colony, this is the perfect place for you! First room we got at check-in had broken AC (no big deal) and flickering lights so we got switched to another room. Everything was fine until we went to bed and saw the multitude of ant colonies and other bugs crawling all over the ceiling above us. Staff was friendly but hotel is in need of repairs, everything from loose sink fixtures to broken soap dispensers. Pretty ghetto, would not recommend.

The room smelled damp and was covered in dead mosquitoes. The staff were very pleasant but not particularly helpful. Pool was run down and the deck seemed like it was coming apart. Glad we only stayed one night.

I have stayed at Dee Andaman on many occasions, the rooms are nice & clean but the whole Hotel needs a little TLC, getting scruffy in areas. The pool it self is very clean & a lovely size but again the Jacuzzi didn't work, it broke the day before we arrived (same story as my last stay) the pool loungers again were broken, hence two new ones but they all need replacing especially the dirty plastic white ones.
The breakfast, again warm milk, juices & food ocassionally running out or just not topped up. Good to see this time the food was covered better.
I have left so much feedback on this Hotel that I guess the OWNER never reads.
A few changes/decorating & the Hotel would get excellent feedback.
I have always found the staff friendly & helpful,
Shuttle service into town, first one 12.00 noon, not one in the morning, next ones 5, 6 & 7pm, more in the morning would be good as the Hotel is just that little bit to far for some people to walk or it's just too hot.
Overall I would rate the Hotel 4/5 but it could easy be 5/5 if the owner read mine & previous reviews.

Good Budget Hotel

Great budget hotel with friendly staff. Only downside was the pool was green (unswimmable), the pool lounge chairs are old and broken, pool deck wood is buckled up and in need of repair. Hotel location out of town so it is fairly quiet and they offer a shuttle bus into Krabi town. Furniture is classic thai design and breakfast buffet ok. The beds are hard but I expect that in Asia.

Unexpected Delight

The Dee Andaman was far better than expected given the price. Location is in a quiet area, a 10 minute walk from the centre. We were in Krabi for 1 night only, but wished we spent more time there instead of going to Koh Lanta. I thought the hotel would be a bit shabby, but was better than others we stayed at in Thailand. All in all, a very nice hotel that I recommend highly.

We stayed here the night before heading to Krabi airport. Was close enough to town to walk and they had a convenient shuttle that was free at certain times or you could pay a small amount to take as needed. We were here for a short time so we didn’t use the pool or restaurant. Room was pleasing and in good condition.

On arrival the staff were very friendly & helpful with the luggage, we were shown to our twin room which was better than I expected due to previous reviews, clean & beds very comfortable, shower worked well & many towels & complimentary toiletries, Kettle with tea/coffee & 2 bottles of water & a fridge. My grandson enjoyed the pool & the staff were so kind & caring towards him. The breakfast was ok if you like eggs you can have them cooked to order scrambled, fried etc, the orange/pineapple/milk drink could be keep colder as warm milk on your cereal is not nice in my opinion. Overall good value for money & I would stay again, I just hope the Hotel owner keeps updating the property & doesn't let the standard of appearance drop anymore or people will not return.

Value for money, good family Hotel

Friendly staff on arrival, quick check-in, room clean & comfortable. We have been to the Hotel before, we have noticed the standard of the pool area is not as good as previous, wooden sun bed were dirty & old, some had been replaced with plastic not comfortable but clean, lots of leaves around the pool which were eventually cleared up, the pool water was clean but the jacuzzi didn't work (told it was broken). The breakfast could be improved with more variety, keeping food chilled & sealed better. The rooms was clean but after a few days stay the parade of ants started to appear. Shuttle bus into Krabi town saves the legs of a 15 to 20 minute walk, you get good value fat money, I will stay again next year.

Paid twice for checking in

When I checked in, they did not have any record of my reservation from Hotels.com. I gave the lady at the reception desk my reservation number that was emailed to me from Hotels.com but she still could not find it in her system so I had to pay on-site in order to book a room to stay in...which means I paid double for the room. I made Hotels.com aware of this and have yet to hear back from a representative about a reimbursement.

One night nice place

It was a fine pl to stay on an overnight to early morning departure by flight.
The pillows were definitely not conducive to restful night.
Only complaint is that we arranged/paid for ride to airport ahead thinking it would be taxi. Turns out it was shuttle provided by hotel. We think it would have been cheaper to take taxi as we were charged $500 baht by hotel.

We didn't even check in. Upon arrival we were told that there are not twin rooms available even though we specifically requested one month in advance! Got told the hotel is fully booked and we can leave. Very unfriendly staff. We booked another hotel (Krabi front bay) at the end which turned out to be an amazing hotel.

I booked this hotel knowing it was close to ferry terminal as Krabi was a quick stopover before heading to Ko Phi Phi. I had sent two emails prior to arrival to schedule a shuttle from the airport and received no response from the hotel. When I arrived and enquired, they cost they quoted me for the shuttle was more than I had paid for a taxi (I paid about 350 bhat, the hotel quoted 500). The rooms were decent, but the beds were uncomfortable and there was low water pressure in the shower. The breakfast buffet is questionable as well. If you are just planning to pass through Krabi, you are getting what you pay for. If you plan on staying in Krabi for a few days, I don't recommend staying at this hotel.

Room size is great, but the rooms are very dark and dusty. There are some areas of our room that had a layer of dust on it. Wifi was very POOR in our room. Not sure if that is all rooms, or just ours, but I had to go down to the mosquito ridden lobby to get any kind of good internet connection. Staff was very nice and breakfast was just OK. However, I would not book tours with the hotel. I got much better prices for tours and our cab ride back to the airport by going into town and booking with a tour office.

In fact the only problem was the very weird smell in the rooms, maybe mold. In our next hotel all our clothes smelled that way. Bathroom would need modernisation as well. Rooms are grate if you just want a stop off point they are clean nicely decorated and comfortable, how ever the room is the only good point. The pool area is dirty infested with ants because staff don't clean the tables with spilt pop and cans you have to clean them down your self along with your loungers. The female staff are very rude.... act like pathetic children with attitude problems even the older staff.

The rooms are beautiful. Spacious, clean, furnished well and comfortable. Well recommended for comfort. There are downsides tho.

Swimming pool - is not staffed. Inadequate facilities around the pool (no toilets and a shower that is very uncomfortable to stand under especially if sun burned)

Staff are friendly but don't seem to have time for you. It made me feel sad because as a customer I felt like an inconvenience.

When I book a room, I always make sure I have wifi available in the room. The wifi did not work for the entire time I was there - only on the ground floor. I complained several times and was told it would be fixed, but I remained without internet. If Internet is important for you, consider this when booking.

To sum up, GREAT rooms, service sucks, wifi sucks.

A nice place to stay

We stayed only one night on our way back from Koh Lanta to Bangkok. Rooms are nice and the bedding is good. We had a very large bed in the room. The plumbing in the bathroom was correct even I would have appreciated hotter water for the shower. My only remark is on wifi that I neither managed to connect on my different devices. The pool is very nice and much appreciated after 3 hours in a Mini Van.

The room was very nice, as was the bed. The pillows were a little too thick for me, but I'm sensitive to that, so many might not have had a problem. The pool was nice and we were allowed to use that after we checked out while we were waiting to get picked up. The guy who helped get our bags put pressure on us to tip, which I don't really like, even though I usually give a tip. But the main things was that there were tons of little ants in two or three places in our room. The first time I went to the front desk they sent a guy up with Raid, and they sprayed over the coffee and tea area, but didn't change out those items. Later they were all back, so we just left the coffee and tea outside and borrowed the can of Raid and used it ourselves. If it wasn't for the ants this place definitely would have got a 5.

It's a good hotel, just a 10-15 min walk to the market and Pier. Room is nice and comfy but the only issue was a lightbulb that was out and you could tell some corners were not exactly clean which shows why its not a 5 star hotel which is fine. Great value though and the breakfast is actually good.

They closed the roof lounge

Very disappointed to arrive and fine that the beautiful roof lounge was closed indefinitely for no apparent reason. All I wanted was to sit and relax on the roof with a cocktail.
Also, the neighborhood isn't close to anything, which wouldn't matter if the roof lounge was open - but it isn't. So, you can either sit in the small lobby with the staff, or you have to walk for 20-30 minutes into town.

No Roof top bar!?

Unfortunately, I booked this hotel after reading many other reviews that raved about the amazing roof-top bar and great views. Unfortunately, I was told (after I checked-in, of course) that the bar had been closed by management. Actually, the roof is still open and all of the equipment, tables, chairs, etc is there for use. They only need 1 person with a few drinks / beer to open it back up. Why not open it at least from 4-8pm to watch the sunset???

I booked the room and opted to pay cash at the hotel, at the check in, to my surprise, the reception told me the they charged my credit card, they did so without my agreement,
I show them the booking with the clear confirmation \"pay cash at the hotel\", in the booking was clearly mentioned that the card was used for warranty and will not be charged, hotel management, say \"sorry you have been charged\", I was very upset, disagreed with the hotel and explained that they cannot charge my credit card without my agreement. After long argument they agreed to refund my credit card, but they demanded to pay cash at the check in!
I did so to avoid further argument and spoil the rest of my stay!

The hotel staffs are friendly and speak English. The location is not so idea. It is located 10 mins away from the town and no convenience store near the hotel so suggest to buy more when at the town. Hotel room is clean but bed is hard. Tv offer international channel but no cartoons for kids. Breakfast is standard nothing special. Offer both international and small range of chinese buffet breakfast. Overall pleasant stay.

A gem in Krabi Town

This hotel is a fantastic place to stop over when travelling to and from Koh Phi Phi or Koh Lanta, as its only a 10 minute drive from the ferry terminal and 25 minutes from the airport. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly, the pool refreshing and the rooms had fantastic views. But the best and well kept secret about this hotel is its rooftop bar and restaurant - absolutely spectacular 360 views of the town and surrounding mountains. We will stay here any time we are in Krabi, just for those views. Plus the food was tasty and the cocktails delicious.

We were staying in Krabi en-route to the islands; Dee Andaman was the perfect stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and made us feel very welcome. Check in was really easy and we were provided with everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a free shuttle into town and airport transfers are available too for a small fee (approx 50THB for two). This is great value for money, highly recommend staying here and would stay here again in a flash. Thank you Dee Andaman!

Great hôtel to stay in Krabi

The hotel rooms are spacious and greatly decorated, very refined. There is a very nice swimming pool, which is not common in Krabi. And a nice skybar. The hotel is located out of the bustle of downtown, but with a shutlle taking you there at several hours daily, The staff is adorable and there's a great atmosphere. It is the perfect hotel to relax, when arriving or departing from Krabi.

Only stayed over for one night to catch the morning ferry to Phi Phi. Couldn't have asked for more. Not too much around the hotel but has shuttle service to town. And if you get in late like we did, they have a restaurant on the hotel roof. Very accomodating.

Only stayed for one night en route to ko lanta but found the breakfast excellent and the staff extremely pleasant. Pool area was nice too. Took a bit if time to get here from the airport. Possibly using a taxi makes more sense than the bus if you are 2+ people.

We will avoid Krabi Town in the future...

The staff and service are what make this place a great stay over. We had stayed 3 nights in Ao Nang and then stayed here to be closer to airport since we had an early flight. Turns out, taxi from either place is around 500 baht. If we ever go again, we would avoid Krabi Town all together and stay mainly in Ao Nang. We had dinner (roof restaurant) and breakfast here. It was OK but nothing to brag about. The staff definitely made us feel good about our decision in choosing this hotel!

We stayed here 1 night on the way home. Nice hotel with a pool and a rooftop bar and restaurant. Location was quite good in a nice neighbourhood, about 10 mins walk into town. They do also provide a couple of free shuttle buses on the evening to the town and market.
As we were going home we requested a late checkout, this cost half a night up to 3pm and full price for up to 5 pm. Although we expected to pay, we thought a little steep when they clearly were not full and they didn't have to clean room, change towels, breakfast etc.

When we came there, we loved the room until we stepped into the toilet. It was sticky like it hasn't been washed for a long time. The heater didn't work well, most of the time it was cold. The air con started making alot of noise when placed on temp 18deg n on high fan speed which affected our sleep. The location was inconvenient as to get out you had to rent a scooter or use their shuttle service to Vogue Shopping Center. I wanted to make an overseas call and the staff told me that you only can make overseas call in krabitown and not in the hotel. The staff was really friendly when catering to our tours and could speak simple english. Overall it was ok, but we won't be back

Average hotel in krabi town

Little away from town, average rooms, roof top restaurant closed due to low season, ordinary breakfast, ok for a day stay before moving to aonang in my view.

Very nice hotel but far from everything

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful pool. The staff were very friendly and were very happy to help with any questions we had. The rooms where beautiful and very clean. The restaurant was very tasty. The only bad thing about the hotel is that it is rather far from town but they have a free shuttle that leaves many different times throughout the day.

Krabi Town: good alternative to touristy Ao Nang

Dee Andaman was a cute boutique hotel located in the southern part of Krabi town. The breakfast was good, room was clean and service was nice. We were able to rent a scooter through the hotel and had the opportunity to drive around on our own schedule instead of being stuck with a tour group. they also arranged our transfer to the airport which was nice. Overall, stay in Krabi Town to get away from the touristy traps, but know that it's a bit more local and the hotels aren't luxurious.

It was ok. Nothing around the hotel. Very good breakfast , swimming pool, modern. Dinner kitchen closed at 6pm. No a close place to have dinner.

Oasis in Krabi Town

We loved our stay at Dee Andaman, it was a beautiful hotel with a great buffet breakfast and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again when back visiting Krabi. Sadly we found the Jungle Bar on the last day, it looked beautiful and just up the street.

Cosy hotel with excellent staff but far from beach

Good stay if you would like time away from the crowd. Its 20km away from the famous ao nang beach and you can only get there by taxi. Apart from this inconvenience, the hotel is cosy and the staff are excellent.

Good value

Clean hotel in good condition. It's a bit of a walk from the the actual town and restaurants and bar, which can be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences. I liked the quiet neighborhood. Considering the fairly inexpensive price, I thought this was good value for people needing to stop over in Krabi to/from their ultimate vacation spot.

Motsvarar inte riktigt förväntningarna

Ett hotell som ser jättefint ut på bilderna, men som visade sig vara ganska nedgånget. Wi-fi var väldigt dåligt, inget varmvatten i duschen, tandborstglasen var inte rena. Dock var vänligheten hos personalen alldeles ypperlig, och middagen i restaurangen var god.

Absolut in Ordnung

Waren für eine Nacht hier. Die Zimmer waren riesig. Alles sauber. Hotel liegt zu Fuss ca. 15 min weg vom Night Market. Am morgen hört man die Strasse sehr gut... alles in allem für kurzen PitStop empfehlenswert.
