We stayed two days. A warm friendly welcome at reception. Giving all the information we needed to get about. Also confirmed our spa days and all the times. Our room was clean and comfortable with amazing views of the Clyde falls. Yea and coffee in the room and hot chocolate for night time. The beds are comfortable and the room was warm.
Breakfasts were filling and served well. All the staff are friendly and attentive.
Our evening meal for our anniversary was perfect with a delicious nozeco to help. The food was great and the atmosphere was just right.
Our sis day started with a light meal. The soup and sandwiches were filling and the brownie and fresh raspberry was out of this world. We enjoyed the sauna and pool till time for our treatments. Both of which were tailored to our needs perfectly and that relaxing I nearly dozed off.
Going back to the room we thought we would chill but ended up sleeping the night away peacefully.
We enjoyed the roof top garden with beautiful view of the area.
We loved this place for the relaxation and beautiful walks in and around the hotel. The spa was amazing and combined well worth the trip. Thanks guys.

Quality of food served in restaurant. Expensive for highly processed portions eg frozen dipper style chips with a meal of fish and chips and my partner had the fish pie that looked and tasted like a budget frozen meal available from a supermarket. However reception and serving staff were very friendly and efficient.
Bathroom needs up grading. Old style mira shower over a bath and no handrail for additional support
The setting was superb. Sad that the hotel doesn’t live up to present day expectations of a 4 star hotel

One complaint was being on level 5 last night right above function suite and music was absolutely booming. Could actually be heard in restaurant also but good point was they had a pianist covering that up majority of time having dinner.

Very nice hotel and very good leisure facilities food was very good the only reason I didn't give a higher rating is that the room could have been cleaner there was a lot of cobwebs on the ceiling and even more on the window outside i appreciate its not easy to get to the window outside but it was so bad i could hardly see through the window at the lovely view of the river

We had an overnight stay for a party night. Reception staff were very efficient and accommodating. We had a lovely evening, with the staff service for meals/drinks being good.
We were given a disabled room for our stay. It was a bit unexpected. After the initial shock, we accepted it as it gave us more room, with not much of a difference, apart from the bathroom/ shower room.

Delightful as ever. Great location and hotel. Too pricey at the moment - not 5* but 5* prices in the holidays. Great facilities and staff welcoming. Disappointed at the fire alarm going off at 6am two mornings in a row -a ride awakening. At the hefty price there should definitely have been a recompense or complimentary response. There was nothing. Breakfast was great the first day, reasonable the next two. Portions have reduced and quality of mushrooms and spinach was disappointing.

The Hotel is in a wonderful location in a World Heritage Site .Visiting the old mills and homes of the cotton workers and reading about Robert Owen’s vision so interesting and then a beautiful woodland walk upto the Falls of Clyde . A great place for a two or three night break on your journey up to Scotland. Accessible by train and short bus/ taxi ride

Traveling from the USA spending a week in and around Scotland, this restored Mill hotel was really something! A beautiful building, the hotel is high end and hits the mark . Its price matches its upstated elegance but was well worth the price for us . The restaurant was similarly stylish but comfortable with a good menu at appropriate price points .Well worth staying to get a total New Lanark experience

Had a bad stay first of all the keyfobs were not working and you could only get into room by going to reception and get staff to open room this was the whole 2 days we stayed. Waited first morning 1 hr for breakfast second morning about 45 mins, missed one brexkfast in our party and my poached eggs were cold. They also missed Items in our party at dinner on the Friday. Couldt get cappuccino unti bar opened when did get it it was cold and had to take back and get another one. Bar closed at 10.30. Which is early for a hotel. We were a large party as we were staying for my nieces wedding
We were all very disappointed with our stay at this hotel.

Set in a beautiful location, and the room have a lovely view. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Unfortunately the key card system was not working which caused a lot of issues with getting into the room. There were also multiple mistakes made regarding breakfast service and dinner. However I have to note we were kindly given free desert as an apologie for the issues with dinner service. All in all a okay stay, could have been much better if the issues had not been present.

Staff could have provided better direction to the centre as we only had a short time on day 1 and some places closed / closing.

Dinner wasn’t as good as food quite cool
Breakfast was quite poor with overcooked cold food served
We did speak to assistant Food / Beverage Manager after our US family left and she was so helpful. thank you! Aileen - ( excuse spelling).
Second dinner was very much up to standard and our second breakfast was excellent / hot food - - not overcooked .
We enjoyed our stay overall and revisit where our daughter reception was in 2011.

Really enjoyed our break away to New Lanark Mill relaxing and chilled a couple of days. Only thing change is when pool is being used for swimming lessons to close pool rather than divide pool. Would have avoided this time if we were aware.

OK stay but could do better

Hotel room OK, but it felt cold. Hotel dinner was lovely but we were disappointed with breakfast, only offered lorne sausage and the toast machine needs to be updated as to get the bread toasted took 3 rounds.
We visited the spa but were disappointed as half the swimming pool was marked off for swimming lessons leaving it very tight to swim in the other side even for 2 people to pass. There were no parking spaces when we arrived so had to park at the top of the hill.

Christmas stay at the Mill

The trip was due to a family bereavement, so unhappy circumstances to start with. However, the New Mill was warm and welcoming, and the room was comfortable (woken by the alarm, which indicated i slept well). View out the window was well worth the stay, listening to water is very soothing although i didn't realise beforehand!. Only a slight complaint, the TVs weren't working on arrival which was an issue as my 87 year old father suffers from insomnia so it was disappointing that reception didnt mention this on arrival. Fortunately though, the TV was repaired in the evening, so all was not lost. Resturant was lovely and food very tasty despite being given the wrong bill, over 100 pounds instead of 65 pounds but this was soon corrected. Please do not be put off by anything i have written as i would return in a heartbeat and perhaps next and under different circumstances, we would have more time to appreciate the stunning view and wonderful surroundings.

We arrived on the first significant snow fall of the winter, the staff called us in the morning advising of the weather conditions and suggested we give ourselfs a little more time. Vicki met us on arrival, she was very welcoming and we got a great impression right from the start. I was booked in for a body massage withVicki, she was amazing, one of the best massages i have ever had.
We liked our room and enjoyed the food, we had done the New Lanark experience already so didnt do that this time, would throughly recommend this also!

We did do the walk up by the waterfalls the next day which was asight to behold.

Was disappointed this time, our third visit. The room was covered in dust on all surfaces, and the bathroom floor was left dangerously wet. We were a little early for check in but so were many others who came after us but managed to get into their rooms right away. We had to wait 2
30 minutes. Apart from the dust the room itself was lovely. However the sachets of hot chocolate and coffee had been there for a long time as the coffee was nearly solid.
The breakfast was terrible, dried up fatty square sausage you could hardly cut and bacon which was so overcooked and had been left standing for goodness knows how long. If this was my first visit I wouldn't go back. However I have been twice before and I know they are better than this. I will try again but if its not improved, next time will be my last.
Sorry for the not good review but I hope it will help to improve the next visit.

The Falls of Clyde walk was lovely. About 3/4 mile all in. The hotel was lovely, not too busy. Pool was empty and water not too cold. Big clean room. Breakfast was a little disappointing, some missed items, overdone eggs and burnt potato scone. Partner had eggs Benedict also overdone and cold but also had the continental option of toast, cereal, fruit cup, yoghurt and a few pastries. 3 out of 5.

Biggest downside was having to wait for 45 mins for my dinner. When it arrived half was missing ( haggis and sauce ) and what was on the plate looked awful , so not such a chicken supreme. I declined to eat the food or have it topped up with the missing parts. The lady sitting next to me also suffered the same fate.
To be fair the Manager came to my room with apologies and offer of a sweet instead. Also declined as I had lost my appetite by then. Took the free drink offered at the bar.

Friendly welcome; allocated a disabled room (? not sure why) great space but dislike wet rooms; king size bed but mattress far too soft; breakfast very disappointing - no vegetarian sausages, no smoked salmon as delivery had not come so eggs it was and had to ask for orange juice as not on table. Spa centre is nice but plastic cups need to go. On checkout a bar bill had been added to our room but removed when queried - no “how was your stay”. Won’t be back.

Beautiful hotel, slightly dated in places but overall perfectly nice. Spa/pool ares is really nice although the changing room was really cold due to an open window it Feb!!

Food was lovely especially dinner although the sausage and bacon at breakfast were a bit anaemic looking.

We had the New Harmony suite and can highly recommend it, its huge and the bed is the most comfortable thing i have ever slept in!
