Our stay at Petra Guest House was truly the highlight of our trip to Jordan. Everything about this hotel is absolutely top-notch.

The rooms were spotless and exceptionally well-maintained. The breakfast spread was incredible — easily one of the best we’ve ever had, with so many delicious options to choose from. The staff were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed.

The location simply couldn’t be better. The hotel is right at the starting point of the walk to the Treasury in Petra, and the Visitor Centre is just a short walk away, which made exploring so convenient.

They also have a lovely café bar on-site, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. To top it all off, the view of the city from the hotel is absolutely breathtaking.

Without a doubt, this was the best stay of our entire Jordan trip. Highly recommended!

The room and service was amazing! The food was first-rate and you can’t beat the location! They also arranged for a driver to pick me up from the airport and take me to Wadi Rum. He was excellent! This hotel is beautiful and I can’t recommend it enough.

I BEG YOU! PLEASE GO AND STAY HERE. This is an amazing hotel with great staff and unreal breakfast buffet. All the managers were amazing. I wish I remembered their name. Location is closer to Petra entrance than any other place in Petra.

Do not hesitate to stay here.

This is a great hotel. The room was spotless and had a great view. The heater worked well and the bed was comfortable. The staff was amazing. Breakfast was a feast with many options. The cave bar is really cool. All that was great, but what really stands out is the location. It shares a driveway with the entrance to Petra.

Big asset was “the Cave” bar and restaurant adjacent and sort of the hotel.

Great location - the room was basic but super clean and well equipped, and staff were very attentive. Nice to be so close to the entrance to the site, makes all the difference after a long day walking around! This hotel was absolute perfection. Everything from cleanliness, to location, to great food. Most importantly I have to say the staff was so sweet and professional. My mother and I visited from Los Angeles, and after we had already checked out and were on our way back to Amman, our driver received a call from the hotel staff informing him we had left a lot of money and jewels in the lockbox in our hotel room. They were so kind to take photos of each and every item left behind and send it to us. We had our driver send another driver to pick up the items and return it to us in Amman. I have to say their honestly and professionalism truly blew me away. I would give this hotel 1000 stars if I could. A must stay!!!

The breakfast menu was always fresh and different every morning. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Room was cleaned when asked to do so because sometimes I didn't need it done. This is the best hotel you can book if you’re planning on visiting Petra! The guest house is located directly outside the gates of Petra and right across from the visitor’s center. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and the hotel itself is beautiful. Would absolutely stay here again!

Overall, it was a positive stay and right next to the entrance of Petra, which was very convenient. One minor inconvenience was that in the evening, there was an issue with the electricity and lights (electricity) flicked on/off many times - during dinner and when I was back at the room. I was informed that it was an issue with the generator and it was resolved. Besides this minor inconvenience, I recommend it and would return.

Excellent location just next to the visitors Center and main entrance to Petra, if you are travelling alone without tour is perfect, as the buses from and to Amman or Aqaba departs/arrive in the parking place next to Petra’s museum that is 3 mins walking distance from the hotel, as Petra is a city build in the mountains is better to stay close of main attractions, otherwise, you will have to take taxi to go everywhere, which can increase your daily budget.

Definitely the right choice for visiting Petra - the hotel is literally next to the entrance! After a long, hot day of walking the hotel was super convenient. Breakfast was amazing, with many food options (I loved the omelette station). Also the room was quite spacious for a European standard.

It sits at the entrance of the Petra historical site. It's built into a mountain. We were given a room overlooking the city with all the amenities including fridge, robes and fruit basket. We given an upgrade when we got there. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel at home. The tourist center was just outside the hotel ,We walked the canyon to the Treasury ala Indiana Jones. So worth it.

The location / convenience to Petra cannot be beat, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were quite dated, although our bathroom had been recently renovated. The breakfast was “meh” overall (and the coffee undrinkable) but had an omelet station that did the trick. We also ate lunch at the restaurant after 6 hours of hiking in Petra; food and service were good enough - and again, the location can’t be beat.
